So damn wordy. Also the first chapter is the MMCs pov in 3rd person. And the 2nd chapter started as the fmcs pov, 1st person. Why did it change??? Also there was a lot of these - - -, multiple in those two chapters. I think potentially this was AI? No clue.

This book had me gripped from the start! So different to any other vampire book I’ve read with such a unique concept. Absolutely loved the enemies to lovers, with just the right amount of spice and a heart wrenching love declaration. I really didn’t know how the book was going to end and now I can’t wait to see what happens with Angus and Ivy in the next book!

Now, as Someone who does not like fantasy books all that much this book has changed my perspective completely! The writing was amazing and the character development. The love confession was my personal favourite however the entire book had me in a choke hold from start to finish! I never knew which direction the book was going in and in my opinion that makes an amazing and magical book. I am beyond excited for the rest of the series! I love you daisy❤️

This was definitely a book that I didn’t want to put down once I started reading it so it’s safe to say that it was a great experience and I had a lot of fun getting to know the characters and their personalities. When I started reading The Primrose That Poisoned Ivy I didn’t expect it to be as funny as it was so that was a great suprise! The spice was really good as well and I love the authors writing style a lot. The plot was amazing and not something I’ve seen before which is also a plus.

This was a really entertaining book and I’d definitely would recommend it if you like vampire romance books!

I didn’t know I needed to read about Jamie Fraser-esque Scottish vampires.

A solid dark romance and I loved the FMC she grounded it all.

When he goes crazy saving her at the end when she is attacked 🔥

Absolutely loved this book and NEEEED the next one!!!
I loved everything and feel empty now I’ve finished it - the character development, the world building, the plot, the spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ it has it all. Also it’s so funny?? There are some GREAT one liners in this, and some really relatable situations 😂

Wow! This is such a refreshing take on a vampire book. I devoured this book in barely any time at all.
The Warren is such a unique setting and you're completely thrown into the action. Our FMC is already so strong and resilient when we meet her (no weak and whining FMC here!!) She quickly *finds herself* in The Warren and is determined to stay alive. She is able to withstand the vampires compulsion which sets the whole story in motion and seriously confuses our grumpy MMC Angus and forces him to feel emotions he has long forgotten.

This book was a little wordy and cheesy at times, but overall a fun story!

Ivy, a human, is captured and taken to the Warren, a land run by vampires. She is given to the vampire prince as his donor. Ivy soon learns that she is unable to be compelled to behave, unlike the other humans. Once Angus finds out, they create a plan to help her human friends in need and the feelings between them grow.

I enjoyed the progression with Ivy and Angus’s relationship and how he came to care for her. The spice was fun if you are okay with biting and vampires.

Now on to book 2!

It feels like a first episode, left on a cliff hanger, without enough plot to be a stand alone novel.
The first 70% was too slow. This is an engaging easy read and the final section you can’t put down. However it takes ~70% for the main characters to really get invested in each other or any dramatic plot to occur. Was considering DNF for a long time.

I dnf @ approximately 30%. The pace was so slow and the characters (MMC in particular) had no depth or personality, even told from both POV. Frankly, I found it boring. When that happens, I check out the blurb for the next book in the series and see if it has potential to keep going. When I saw that it wasn’t a duet, I decided to cut my losses.

I finished this in 2 days! It had me completely hooked. I loved the dual pov writing style, giving insights to both MCs.
The storyline, vampires and humans, romance and confusion. It was perfect.
What a cliffhanger at the end. I'll instantly be starting book 2 to find out what happens with Ivy and Angus.
