The Primrose that Poisoned Ivy

In a place where everyone is obedient... what is the consequence of fighting for free will?

When human Ivy moves away from her hometown for a fresh start, the last thing she expects is to be kidnapped and taken to an underground community full of vampires in Scotland known as the 'Warren'. Assigned as the personal blood donor of the vampire prince, she is forced into his living quarters, and into his bed.

But when she realises she doesn't quite fit in with the other humans (and it's not just the English accent), she has to keep a deadly secret from the cold-hearted man who has the power to kill her with one bite. As well as deal with the confusing feelings she has towards him.

Angus is bored of Warren life. The human blood donors no longer interest him, and he has a tendency to kill them before he's had the chance to commit their name to memory. But things begin to change when he suspects that his new donor isn't all that she seems. She may not be able to escape him, but he can't get her out of his head, and she elicits feelings in him that he had long thought lost.

When the truth comes out, Ivy has to adapt to stay alive, and Angus must decide whether to kill her, or help her.

The Primrose that Poisoned Ivy is a full-length 100,000+ word novel perfect for fans of enemies to lovers, slow burn and forbidden romance . Expect brooding vampires with Scottish accents, dual pov, and sexual tension that's through the roof. It is part one in a series of the Warren Vampires Series and ends on a cliff-hanger that will leave you breathless. This book is spicy and is intended for readers who love adult paranormal romance. It is advised for readers 18+.

This book had me gripped from the start! So different to any other vampire book I’ve read with such a unique concept. Absolutely loved the enemies to lovers, with just the right amount of spice and a heart wrenching love declaration. I really didn’t know how the book was going to end and now I can’t wait to see what happens with Angus and Ivy in the next book!

Now, as Someone who does not like fantasy books all that much this book has changed my perspective completely! The writing was amazing and the character development. The love confession was my personal favourite however the entire book had me in a choke hold from start to finish! I never knew which direction the book was going in and in my opinion that makes an amazing and magical book. I am beyond excited for the rest of the series! I love you daisy❤️

This was definitely a book that I didn’t want to put down once I started reading it so it’s safe to say that it was a great experience and I had a lot of fun getting to know the characters and their personalities. When I started reading The Primrose That Poisoned Ivy I didn’t expect it to be as funny as it was so that was a great suprise! The spice was really good as well and I love the authors writing style a lot. The plot was amazing and not something I’ve seen before which is also a plus.

This was a really entertaining book and I’d definitely would recommend it if you like vampire romance books!

Was it toxic, yes. Was it just fun, yes 🤣

I didn’t know I needed to read about Jamie Fraser-esque Scottish vampires.

A solid dark romance and I loved the FMC she grounded it all.

When he goes crazy saving her at the end when she is attacked 🔥

I couldn’t put this down!!
Absolutely loved this book and NEEEED the next one!!!
I loved everything and feel empty now I’ve finished it - the character development, the world building, the plot, the spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ it has it all. Also it’s so funny?? There are some GREAT one liners in this, and some really relatable situations 😂
Would 1000% recommend to all readers!

It feels like a first episode, left on a cliff hanger, without enough plot to be a stand alone novel.
The first 70% was too slow. This is an engaging easy read and the final section you can’t put down. However it takes ~70% for the main characters to really get invested in each other or any dramatic plot to occur. Was considering DNF for a long time.
