Dirty Royals #2

Sinful Princess

Rate this book
She was a rebellious princess. He was her brother’s best friend and reluctant protector. An isolated cabin and one bed ignited a forbidden spark.

Princess Annika, the wild younger sister to King Stellan, was no stranger to trouble. A drunken night out ended in disaster when the paparazzi caught her in a compromising position. To protect her reputation, the royal family sent her to a secluded cabin with Erik, her brother’s stoic best friend and loyal bodyguard.

The icy Danish wilderness was no match for the heat crackling between them. Annika’s fiery spirit clashed with Erik’s unyielding sense of duty. But undeniable chemistry built between them until they couldn’t deny it anymore. A single kiss set them on fire.

Annika longed to break free from royal expectations, but Erik’s loyalty to her brother and his role as her protector stood in the way. With duty pulling them apart and their hearts pushing them together, their forbidden love became harder to resist.

Tropes: Royal romance, brother’s best friend, forced proximity, only one bed, opposites attract, forbidden love, grumpy/sunshine, spicy.

This Royal Romance was a win for me!! I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it because I’ve never been a huge fan of royal or fairytale romance journeys, but the story of Anikka and Eric captured my heart. These two had a whole lot going against them but they persevered and it was captivating and fun to read.

Even though he was born a commoner Erik Moen is the king of Denmark’s best friend. He’s been by his friend’s side since they were born and his duty and loyalty are to him. But when he’s tasked with babysitting Annika, THE princess of Denmark, his commitment to the crown crumbles. Not only Annika grown up, she has a crush on Erik and is determined he be her first. Can these two opposites find happiness together?

Both Erik and Nica have their own set of issues. He’s reserved and cold mostly because he thinks of himself as unworthy, not enough even though he’s a twenty-six-year-old who is very successful in his own right due to his dabbling in the stock market during his free time.

Annika has anxiety issues mostly because of the pressure of upholding her status as the only princess. All the expectations that are placed upon a nineteen-year-old weigh heavy. Compounded by the fact that neither her mother nor her grandmother have ever supported her and the press is always trying to paint her in the worst possible way.

The attraction between Erik and Annika is palpable but they’re both incredibly stubborn and admitting to it is an entire different matter. Erik especially tries to fight it, but being forced to spend three months together helps them discover they have a lot more in common than just physical attraction. The obstacles between them are many and there are instances when all hope seems lost.

The story goes from cold to hot and then back again more than once and there are several discrepancies I chose to overlook in order to continue enjoying the story. His Forbidden Princess is a nice royal romance to read over the weekend.

His Forbidden Princess is book #3 of the Dirty Royals series by Vivian Wood. A standalone told from both points of view, with a happy ending. Subgenres: brother’s best friend, forbidden, age gap.

His Forbidden Princess is the third book in the Dirty Royals series, a modern royal romance between a commoner and a rebel princess who are ready to break the rules if it means having a future together.

Erik Moen takes his job seriously, always looking after King Stellan who also happens to be his best friend. But his duty to the crown runs deep, they gave him a life that he wouldn’t otherwise would of had and for that he will be forever indebted to them. Yet no matter how much he wants to stay loyal to Stellan, Erik can’t help to be attracted to Stellan’s younger sister, Annika. She is feisty, stubborn and completely off limits. When he is given the job to babysit the princess, he vows to keep their relationship strictly professional until she asks him to be her first. He tries to resist until things begin to change between them and so does their relationship. No matter how much Erik wants to make things work, he is aware of the differences between them and the fact that they might just not be perfect for each other in the end. It’s when he is about to lose everything that he realizes that fighting for their future might just be worth it after all.

I absolutely loved reading this book, it was a page turner and it was great seeing cameos of previous characters (from the first book in the series). It’s evident from the beginning that Erik and Annika are from two different worlds, but they both face struggles just like anyone else. They comfort one another and as they go of their pasts the closer they grow to each other. Not only do we get to see their own growth, but we also get to know some of the secondary characters as well. The ending was satisfying and sweet. It leaves us off with a hint of what’s to come in the series and I cannot wait to read the next book. I would highly recommend checking out this book if you love a good modern royal romance. :)

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

line

This is Erik and Annika's tale. This book is the third book of the 'Dirty Royals' series by this author.

This is the first book of this series that I have read. This book was one hell of a hot book and I enjoyed every word. Annika is the sister of Erik's best friend , so she is pretty much off limits to him. That does not stop him from wanting her secretly . Not that he would ever act on it , too much was at stake here.

Annika is the spoiled princess of her family. The media has already termed her as the Troublemaker , so she made sure to stand up to her nickname. She was reckless and an absolute smartass. She had always Erik and had now decided to approach him. I really felt bad for him. I mean poor Erik did not stand a chance against Annika's ruthless flirting😂. I loved how the story progresses and all the characters , including the side ones too were amazing!

A definite recommendation to all the contemporary romance lovers out there , which addiction to themes like brother's best friend and second-chances.

Vivian Wood has treated us to a steamy ROYAL take on one of my favorite tropes- my best friend’s brother, with this third book in the Dirty Royals series. This royal romance is a contemporary tale of the off-limits feisty princess and the stoic commoner that is the King’s devoted right hand.

Erik has a deep loyalty to the royal family- not only because it is his job, but because the royal family have given him a life different from his impoverished background and King Stellan is also his best friend, so this is more than just a debt. This loyalty is challenged by his temptress, Stellan’s younger sister, Annika, the feisty princess who has her eyes set on Stellan, even though their relationship would clearly be forbidden- Stellan is not only her brother’s bestie but also a commoner. She’s rich, younger, and beyond privileged, and he comes from nothing. But, our little lolita-eseque princess has a crush that won’t be denied, and Erik can't resist her when he’s forced to look after her. A secret and steamy relationship ensues, but obstacles are many- and when the truth comes out, can they find their happily ever after despite their different backgrounds?

No matter how much Erik wants to make things work, he is aware of the differences between them and the fact that they might just not be perfect for each other in the end. It’s when he is about to lose everything that he realizes that fighting for their future might just be worth it after all.

This series is just SO hot- Vivian sure knows how to write steamy and dirty scenes- lord, I need a cold shower. Annika is a fun and sassy troublemaker with a sweet heart, an Erik and his protective nature and dirty mouth- SWOON. And their connection and romance is just as sweet and adorable as it is sexy. I’m consistently surprised by this series- can’t wait for more royal stories from Vivian Wood!

Brother's best friend, age gap, forbidden, yet completely right...

Annika has been pining over Erik for a while.
On the other hand, Erik has been doing his absolute best not to lust over his best friend's sister.
Stellan is really important to Erik and not to mention the class difference between him and Annika, hence he is trying to avoid her as much as possible.
However, fates intervened as Momse makes Erik babysits Nika...

While babysitting, we are shown a different side to Erik and his thinking process.
He has a lot of insecurities, which is surprising, knowing how aloof and cold he is at times.
And Nika... well she is more than meets the eye.
The baby princess is not what the press makes her be.
She is getting hurt a lot because of that.

Their attraction is mutual but it is not easy for them to be open up about it.
Thus, when they finally admit being in love, it was a really sweet of a moment...

Thank you so much for the ARC, I enjoy reading their story.
Can't wait for Lars and Pippa's!

His Forbidden Princess by Vivian Wood is book Three in the Dirty Royals Series. This is the story of Annika 'Nika', The princess of Denmark and Erik Moen. I have read the previous book, which did add to my enjoyment of this one. But, I do think you can read this as a standalone book if you wish to do so. Erick is best friends with Stellan who is the King of Denmark, but more importantly he owes everything he is today to the Royals. So when Erik is asked to keep an eye on Stellan's sister, Annika Erik of course does so. Erik is learning there is more to Annika then he first thought along with his growing feelings for her. But he doesn't want to break any loyalties by stepping over a boundary...but their attraction can't be ignored. Erik is about 10 years older than Annika and she is totally innocent too...so that adds more forbidden theme to their story.

THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK HIS FORBIDDEN PRINCESS BY VIVIAN WOOD.

GENRE: CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE...MODERN DAY FAIRY TALE ROMANCE.
AUTHOR:VIVIAN WOOD.
TYPE: BOOK#3 OF DIRTY ROYALS SERIES...CAN BE READ AS STANDALONE.'
POV:DUAL POV...FIRST PERSON.
MY RATING: 5 "ROYALTY" STARS.

This is the third installation in the Dirty royals series...A modern-day royal fairy tale romance...
Erik Moen had his whole life owed to the Royal Family. They had helped him set his life straight when he was just a poor child. So to betray the royal family was never in his cards...Until he set his eyes on Annika..The princess of Denmark...His King and Best friend's little sister who just defines the forbidden to the best.
Annika has always had a crush on her brother's "THE KING" best friend and advisor Erik who is seven years older than her. She approached him at the party and started flirting with him but no one could prepared them for the emotional roller coaster they were about to embark on.
They started seeing each other behind everyone's back and fall more and more in love with each other. They forgot about their social differences but life gave them a shove into reality without any warning.
The truth came out and it's like all the world of problems come in between them. Will they ever step aside from their differences? Will the royal servant and his forbidden princess ever have their Happily ever after?

"She is too young, too wealthy, too privileged...and that's not even counting the fact that her brother is my Best friend She is the very definition of taboo and off-limits."

This was my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A Romance with all the odds against them made this book really interesting. Erik was Alpha strong stubborn character and he met his perfect match in his best friend's little sister.
This book has all my favorite genres alltogether..
Forbidden romance.
Best friend's little sister.
Modern Day royal Romance.
Angsty Romance.
Age gap.
The family drama...the push-pull relationship they had...Just made this a fast-paced romance which just made this book unputdownable...Can't wait for the next book in the series.

The words use and overall review shouldn’t reflect personally on the author or any other of her series and books.

A no spoilers review.

I love the age gap on this! I don’t give it a higher rating because I was lost on the first two chapters. It went from one scenario to another then another without explanation of what was going on, like maybe a title of 5 months later or something would of made it better. After that I love how sassy our FL was and how our ML lead didn’t fall for her games that fast. They were steamy together. I loved their games. I even like the secondary characters. The plot was good and so was the writing style. Also it’s a HEA.

So if you are looking for a fun, entertaining and steamy age gap this is for you.

Eric not only accepts his duty to serve the royal family as an honor, but he is best friends with the King, Stellan. When he is given the assignment of ensuring that Annika stays out of trouble and the headlines until the royal wedding for which he will receive a title he was expecting her to be a pampered Princess but he realizes that there is much more to her than she shows to the world.

Annika has always accepted that everything she does only disappointments her family and her people, so she believes there is no point in trying to convince them otherwise. She has been attracted to Eric for as long as she can remember but she also knows that them being together is a scandal in the making.

When the chemistry between them ignites will they have to choose between their love for each other and their loyalty to her family?

The characters draw you in, the storyline keeps you entertained and the chemistry intense as Annika and Eric fight for their happy ever after.

**I received an ARC for a honest review.⁣

When I saw the blurb for the book, I signed up immediately. Best friend's sister, forbidden, age gap. Those steamy scenes... WOW! Erik and Annika burned up my Kindle. ⁣

Annika was a princess who just wants approval from her family, but keeps getting look down upon from the media. She was naive at times, and felt insecured due to bullying when she went to a private school. I loved how bold she was with Erik though. I'll have to say she's the first heroine I read that make the first move on the hero. Erik was the King's best friend/secretary. He's not born into the royal. Because he's a commoner and Annika was the King's sister, he was afraid to pursue her. But how he understands her was everything! I just didn't like how he just can't make up his mind. Lol ⁣

The age gap was not an issue to me at all. The gap was less than 10 years. Some parts dragged on for quite a bit. But overall I enjoyed reading it. My first read by Vivian Woods, and I'll have to more. ⁣

Erik has a new assignment which is he is liking and hating at the same time. With his best friend Stellans wedding approaching he is tasked with keeping his kid sister, Princess Annika, out of trouble but, the only problem is the more time they spend together the more he realizes he’s the trouble that needs to be away from her. Erik and Annika together had undeniable chemistry but both are wary of pulling the different for different reasons. Cute and steamy story that I enjoyed

The fairytale princess is much more than she seems & her knight in shining armor may be a bit rusty.

Annika, our feisty princess, has a huge crush on Erik, her brother's best friend & secretary. Unfortunately for her, he sees her as the annoying little sister. Well, and a spoiled brat.

What she doesn't realize at first is that he's fighting his attraction to her. And he's a bit caught up in the difference in their status.

But Nika finds herself making a bit more of a public mess than Momse finds acceptable before her brother the king's upcoming wedding.

And so she finds herself saddled with a babysitter...Erik.

He's not to thrilled with his change in job duties. But a little bribery with a potential title gets him to agree.

Nika isn't who he thought she was. She is more than her reputation makes her seem.

Both of them have some misconceptions to clear up. They are both a little lost and being brought together helps clarify their futures.

Although not without a bump or two along the way.

And lots of steam!!

Erik has been the broody shadow of Stellan for most of his life! He doesn’t resent the Prince he just wants more from life and for himself! When an offer is presented Erik decides to take it because even though he will be in close proximity to the young Princess he may just finally get the anonymity he desires!

Erik and Annika’s banter is immediate and from the start you can feel the tension and need radiating from the pages. They don’t see eye to eye at first but as they spend more time together they realize they aren’t so opposite after all. Their biggest issue is the fact that she’s royalty and he is not.

I was extremely excited to get Erik’s story and with each new book I can’t help but want more of these siblings and for them to finally find their happiness! As you will learn in this story, things are always as they seem and even royalty has cause to be unhappy!

A beautiful story about two people learning to love who they are and more importantly learn to forgive the pains of the past as they build a stronger foundation for the future!

I felt that this story was so promising, the blurb really hooked me. It started off well, we get a glimpse into Nika's world and her struggles and Erik is asked to babysit her. Their close relationship develops and their feelings grow for each other. The reason I've given it 3 stars is because I found Erik a bit annoying and a bit of a d*ck at times, for example after their first time and Nika's first time, he just ups and leaves. He keeps going on about how they can't be together yet it's always him who initiates sexual contact. I started skimming towards the last 10% of the book because I wasn't that into it anymore and just wanted it to end and I didn't even care how it ended. Stellan was also a bit of an ass for what he said about his 'best friend'! Oh and there were several typos which also put me off a bit.

His Forbidden Princess (DIrty Royals #3) by Vivian Wood is a modern day fairy tale romance story. The story begins with Erik who has worked for his best friend Stellan for years as his assistant and is now King. When he is told by the Queen mother to babysit Annika, the King's little sister who is a hell raiser causing trouble for the Royals with Stellan's upcoming wedding. When he is offered a title by the Queen mother, this will be his chance to be more than a servant if he accepts the job. Erik will soon discover he will be put to the test by gorgeous headstrong Annika. Annika is a feisty young woman who is misunderstood, lonely and pushed aside by her family and at times ridiculed by her own people so she acts out to overcome her pain. Soon Erik will find that even though they come from different backgrounds she is funny, stubborn and smart and she is more than what people see. The more he tries pushing her away, he will have a hard time resisting sassy Annika (Nika) as she has set her sights on him and wants him to be her first so she decides to act out so he will give in.. Erik is torn, between the age difference and his friendship with Stellan, he feels he can't do anything to hurt the family who has helped him from a life of poverty as they mean everything to him. With his determination and hard work, Erik has made wise investments over the years and has enough money to last him a lifetime but will this ever be enough for him to be an equal with the Royal family or only be seen as a servant? The more time he is with Nika, he is having a hard time resisting her so they begin a relationship that is full of passion and desire, but one that will be put to the test if they are found out. Nika informs Erik she does not care about her family as she only wants a life with him and pressures him to have a relationship with her.

Erik comes to a decision that even though he loves Nika it will never work out as their love is forbidden, her family and his best friend will never allow them to be together, as he is a commoner and she is a Princess, which leaves Nika broken hearted. Trying to keep his distance, he can't stop wanting or thinking of Nika so he approaches her at the wedding to inform her that he wants her, but their affair is exposed by Stellan. His friendship with the King is destroyed and he is fired and kicked out when he is told that he was never a friend to him only a servant. Nika is distraught and goes into hiding after telling her family she loves Erik and needs to be alone. Erik runs off and stays drunk for days missing the women he loves and hurt over his fight with Stellan and his humiliation, until one of Nika's older brother steps in to help the couple. Will the commoner and the Princess have their HEA? Will Nika's family finally see the woman she has become and the pain they caused her? I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. This was a fast paced romance story in the Dirty Royals Series that that will hold your interest from beginning to end. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

If it wasn't for the fact that Erik was the newly appointed King of Denmark's best friend and private secretary he would be anywhere but where he is. A ballroom filled with everyone Stellan has ever met dressed to the nines at the King's engagement announcing party. He's been reminded all his life that he was not royalty, but was good enough to be Stellan's friend and he was so over all the pomp.

Annika is a beautiful blonde with light blue eyes and totally off limits. She is too young, too wealthy, too privileged and most important and topmost reason being she was Stellan's baby sister.

Erik is tall has blonde hair, green eyes, insanely handsome and more muscles than he knows what to do with. As the King's right hand man you would think he would have a better office than a small freezing one located in the basement of the palace. He is shocked when the Queen Mother arrives in his office unannounced, but he horrified when he finds out she is switching his duties to keeping her granddaughter out of trouble for the three months leading up to Stellan and Margot's wedding.

Annika is determined to lose her virginity and has decided that Erik is the perfect man for the job. When she realizes there is no changing his mind about the reasons they can't be together she loses it and shows up at a Red Carpet event drunk off her feet.

Keeping Annika out of trouble seems to be a lost cause so Erik does the only thing he can. He cancels all her appointments and whisked her out of town and the eyes of the press.

I love this book! Annika is a spoiled Princess who hates the pressures put on her by the Queen Mother and the press on the proper comportment of a member of the royal family. To the point of panic attacks. So she rebels which only makes things worse. She is a total brat.

Erik is the total opposite. He is the stable master's son who was taken under the wing of the former king to be companion to his oldest son. Even though he and Stellan are best friends he has been told too many times that he isn't good enough since he is not of royal blood.

I love Erik's intensity. He tries so hard to keep his rage and insecurities hidden. Especially his need for Annika and all the reasons they can't be together.

All the characters in this book are well developed and Vivian Wood shows you all their different layers. Even though this book is Erik and Annika's story you know exactly what is happening in all the lives of others. I feel like I am part of the family (except for not being royalty and all). The chemistry between Erik and Annika is so hot I don't know how everyone is oblivious. The sex scenes beyond smoking hot. Just a gaze from Erik burns through you. 🔥🔥🔥

I highly recommend this book and will definitely be reading more by Vivian Wood!

Another great Royal read from Vivian Wood

Wow! Vivian Wood has seems to be really enjoying the change of direction into the Royal bad boy trope and it’s suits her! There are so many ‘nots’ in this enemies-to-lovers forbidden class divided brother’s-best-friend romance that I wondered how Ms Wood was going to manage to get our errant would be lovers together at all!

But, she certainly managed it in hot and steamy spades, for sure.

In the first two books featuring Stellan and Margot, I honestly thought that Erik was a rule following stuffed shirt. I never for a moment thought that it was a duty borne with resentment, and Ms. Wood perfectly captured his vitriol on the first page. Even as he’d been brought up next to Stellan since he was barely out of diapers as his companion, he’d never been allowed to forget that he would never be Stellan’s equal, and I have to admit, that I would’ve been a seething mass of resentment in his place. Mixing with the attainable, yet never able to spend the time able to meet a possible partner from his own ‘class’ of people, the commoners. Hells teeth, when the Queen Mother told him that he was no better than the maid who turned down her bed, I really wanted to poke her eye out with a blunt stick!

Annika knew that Erik wore a mask to hide his emotions, but she also hid so many of her own. And she carried a ton of insecurities, but in the mix is a strength that I really admired. After everything that had been thrown at her throughout her entire life, how she was still standing was something that I was in awe of.
Both Erik and Annika had parents with sub par parental skills and my heart broke for both of them each almost living half lives, watching others around them seeming to matter in some way, but hiding that they fell short in their own estimations.

I absolutely adored the chemistry that they had together, and the support they had for each other, and I’ll admit that this is my favourite book of the series to date. Unfortunately, Erik still manages to mess things up in a spectacular fashion. Yep, I loved it, and recommend it as great reading. 5 Star people. Hit Vivian Wood’s Royal Train. It’s a good one.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I definitely loved this modern day fairytale romance. I’m always a sucker for fairytale romance, and this one is delightful. What a swoonfest. I am so enchanted. This is an engaging story that will keep you captivated throughout this addictive page-turner. Princess Annika (Nika) is the baby sister of King Stellan, and her own life has its own share of drama. Princess Annika lives a charmed and spoiled life, but she is always getting into trouble. She abhors the press especially when the relentless paparazzi invades her space. Spending time babysitting Annika isn't exactly at the top of his list of fun things to do, but Erik Moen feels like it's a responsibility he can't really shrug on, he made promises and he intends on keeping them. Her family picked him up when he was down and gave him a life that he never thought he'd have, so when it's asked of him to keep the princess out of trouble he knows he needs to do the job. She is ten years younger, a pain to deal with, and incredibly beautiful. When she finds herself the center of a media storm Erik decides it's best for her to lay low for a while, but that also means they will be trapped together in the same home for that length of time. He has no doubt that he can keep her safe... but when it comes to keeping his hands off of her that is another story!

His Forbidden Princess is a steamy little fairy-tale bound to leave you satisfied, with it's engaging story line and enchanting cast of characters you just can't go wrong with this one! This pairing had trouble written all over them, you just knew the moment they were trapped together for their little vacation away from the media that things were going to heat up and boy did they ever. Erik struggled a bit with the promises he made to King Stellan and keeping his hands off of the forbidden Annika, but she constantly tempted him at every turn. The push and pull between these two was strong and ever present, but so were the sparks they had...they tried their best to behave, but sometimes you have to break the rules. I really enjoyed this one, it was dramatic, had a bit of angst, and came brimming with steam... it was thoroughly satisfying from beginning to end! Highly recommend!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

We saw a little spark of the start of this relationship in the previous book, The Wicked Prince. Princess Annika's big brother is the new King of Denmark and our Hero, Erik's best friend. Annika is the only princess in her family so she's subjected to a lot of public scrutiny during her royal outings. She's also the youngest royal at 19 so when she's out partying/clubbing like most young people her age, any slip up becomes major news that the palace must spin to protect the image of the royal family. With the upcoming high profile nuptials of her brother King Stellan to a commoner, Margot, the matriarch of the family, Momse decides to have Erik, keep close tabs on Annika to keep her out of the negative press.

I enjoyed the interplay between the princess and her commoner "babysitter", but there were a few inconsistent details which bothered me about the overall story. Without providing spoilers, a deal is made between Momse and Erik, but the author fails to follow through with the "prize". Also, one of the reasons Erik held back on moving forward with a relationship, is because he feared Stellan's potential reaction to dating his 7 years younger sister. When Stellan does find out, the words out of his mouth were not just angry, but really mean, which seemed uncalled for. Don't know why her other older brothers don't seem to be bothered by Erik dating their sister. And when Erik finally makes a decision, there's no resolution on how he dealt with his other internal reasons against entering into a relationship with Annika.  Erik's bitter father appears in this story, but his animosity toward his son is also unexplained. Annika and Erik's story line was loosely tied up in a quick bow, but the aforementioned loose ends detract from my overall satisfaction with the ending.

Annika is the only princess of Denmark as well as the baby of the family. But, she is always under intense scrutiny of both the press and the public and isn’t always able to handle the pressure. Erik is the son of a stable hand raised to be the new king’s confidante. While always around the royals, he was never truly one of them.

When Erik is put on Annika duty, all heck breaks loose. They are as opposite as can be. He is stuffy. She is a brat. They are oil and water, royalty and commoner. They have a crazy physical attraction however, that when they finally give in, becomes so much more very quickly. But, can this couple be more than a brief and secret affair?

Erik has so much weight on his shoulders, always feeling outside of the loop with no real caring family of his own other than his jerk of a father and a mother that left when he was a young child. But he is brilliant and caring when he lets his guard down, even if being in a real loving relationship terrifies him. And, Annika is all about appearances because she has to be when in reality hates the spotlight and wants to be her own person and not judged for everything. There is so much more to her than what most see, and I loved Erik getting to know her and realizing that.

As a couple they had their growing pains but were very sweet and had some really heartfelt moments. It was a fun and flirty read with some angsty moments as this couple found their way to a happy ever after. 4.5 stars.
