I am a big fan of the Brutal series so seeing this book featuring Gathelaus I bought it and started reading immediately. It was everything I hoped for, terrifying creatures and the blistering action. If you like your fantasy gritty and well written this 100 page story will scratch both itches.

It is always good to catch up with the character of Gathelaus, the sell sword who became a king by his one hand. Gathelaus has battled men, demons, dragons, and even gods but this time he faces a foe that may be more than a match for him. He will have to find a way to defeat monsters that seem all but ammune to physical force.
