I genuinely cannot believe this was written by the person behind my beloved “Soon I Will Be Invincible.”
The plot is convoluted. The characters — especially the primary narrator— are almost wholly unlikable for a variety of different reasons. Plot twists were telegraphed from miles away.
So disappointing.
