Linda Kozar's Sweet Tea and Thee: 90 Devotions to Perk Up Your Day is just the devotional book you'll want to start your day with, every morning! Written with some Southern charm (that everybody, not just Southerners) will love, Kozar's 90 devotions start with a pertinent quote. (Sometimes funny, like Dolly Parton's "big hair" comment; and sometimes spiritually meaningful.) Then, there's a short title for each day and a Scripture verse, which the author expounds upon in the devotion with Biblical knowledge or day-to-day life experiences. Next, there's a section called "Sweet Spoonful," which gives the reader some pithy applications for her own life.

I love this devotion. Linda Kozar's writings always capture my interest, help me to focus on Scripture, and help me to consider how I can live in light of those verses. These devotions are fascinating, encouraging, and sometimes very funny. Highly recommended, and much loved!

Sweet Tea and Thee is a very Southern devotional book. Linda Kozar has written 90 devotionals that start with a southern expression, or a quote from a poet, book, or Bible verse.

Each day takes less than three minutes to read. This book is the perfect size to fit in your purse, dashboard, or wherever you want to keep it so you can grab it when you only have a few minutes to spare. The short antidotes are humorous and applicable.

One of my favorite quotes is: "When life gives you a dumpster fire, roast marshmallows."

Another one is: "Worry is like a rocking chair. It will give you something to do, but it won't get you anywhere."

I highly recommend this devotional book. It is sure to sweeten up your day.

Not being from the South, I found Sweet Tea and Thee to be delightful, uplifting, and educational. With 90 devotions written to “perk up your day,” it did just that! Each devotion gives the reader insight into the southern way of living, as well as a daily scripture reading, a word of wisdom from famous authors and speakers, and a sweet spoonful of inspiration. This book is wonderful to gift to yourself or someone special in your life.
