“The kind of book that stays with you.”—KIM KARDASHIAN “A reminder [that] you’re never walking alone.”—JAY SHETTY “Imbued with both spiritual insight and emotional clarity.”—GWYNETH PALTROW
The renowned psychic medium and New York Times bestselling author of Signs explains how our loved ones who have passed continue to communicate with us, steering us to discover our purpose and create lives of meaning, connection, and love.
Who am I, really? Why am I here? How can I more fully understand my connections to others and the world around me? And how does that understanding reveal the magic the universe has to offer?
According to Laura Lynne Jackson, to answer these questions is to live an illuminated life.
Jackson knows that her psychic gifts are not unique to her. She believes that everyone is capable of perceiving energy and identifying and interpreting messages sent to us by the Other Side. In Guided, Jackson shows that our loved ones who have passed form our own Team of Light, and that they never stop sharing their wisdom with us. By embracing the connections they reveal, we are put on a path to our best life—a life that Jackson calls illuminated.
An illuminated life is one characterized by connectedness and creativity. It is one of alignment with purpose. It is a life of peace and confidence. And it is a life every one of us can discover for ourselves, if only we are open to the guidance that is sent our way.
In Guided, Jackson shares the unforgettable and moving experiences of regular people who have learned how to respond to the messages sent to them by their Teams of Light in order to discover their higher paths. Offering solace and comfort though times of grief, and full of inspiring, motivating stories, Guided points the way toward an illuminated life for us all.
I didn't like it as much as I liked her other books. This one felt more like medical research type of writing, but perhaps that was the goal for it. I just see a Laura book and I'm reading without seeing what it's about. I still love the way Laura's books leave me feeling. There were aspects of "Signs" in the book and that really was my favorite part. These books just leave me feeling so happy and at peace with my grief. I recommend them to everyone experiencing loss. I've learned so much and, because of Laura, I now can still have a strong (if not stronger) connection with my passed loved ones.
I’m not sure why but I didn’t like this book as much as her other two. Packed full of stories, and she is a beautiful story teller. I just felt like the weaving the stories together to tie back to her main point was not as strong. I got kind of burnt out with the story after story. I felt it weakened her arguments in a way, almost like an attempt to present data point after data point to prove a thesis, but since it was all anecdotal and there was discussion/analysis missing, it just didn’t feel as impactful. I felt her other books had more to offer by way of helpful mindset shifts. There’s also the fact that I’m in a different place with my grief than when I read her other books, so I just may not find her messages as resonant at this time.
Laura Lynne Jackson has written a book that can help you heal in a different way. By using different signs you can see that you are not alone and your loved ones are watching over you.

This felt like a warm, reassuring nudge from the universe. Laura Lynne Jackson takes big, spiritual concepts and makes them feel accessible, comforting, and full of hope. Her stories about connecting with our “Teams of Light” are both emotional and grounding, offering the kind of peace you can actually carry with you.
This book reminded me how supported and connected we really are, and how signs and synchronicities can shape our lives in the most meaningful ways. A beautiful, uplifting read for anyone craving clarity, comfort, or a deeper sense of purpose.
This was my first introduction to Laura Lynne Jackson’s works and I look forward to reading more! For some reason, I get the impression that I would like her other books more than this one, but this was a great read! Big concepts made to feel accessible and tugging at the heartstrings in ways that make the synchronicities unforgettable. A good deal of this book references the author’s previous work, Signs, which may be why I think that one could hold some value. The anecdotal style was fun and accessible, keeping things interesting. I could tell the author knew a lot about their field and at times it was beyond me, but made me interested to read more.
I feel like so neutral on this, and probably just because I’m not the audience. I already believe in the woo woo so the stories aren’t blowing my mind or convincing me of anything
Like her previous works, Laura Lynne Jackson has a beautiful gift for creating books that are inspiring, enlightening, and deeply comforting. Each page feels like a safe space, offering reassurance and calm. It’s the perfect gentle introduction to spirituality for anyone beginning to explore their own beliefs.
I love LLJ and really wanted to love this book like her others, but it was just missing her usual moving stories! Every story in this book ended with a promotion of someone’s podcast, workshop, social media, or artwork. It made the stories less impactful & powerful. I was really disappointed by that and the constant mention of her workshops at the Omega Institute. It all just felt a little insincere, unfortunately.
I really loved this book. After reading all three of Laura Lynne Jackson’s works, I continue to be amazed by the steadiness and compassion she brings to conversations about grief, connection, and the unseen threads that bind us. Guided reminded me in many ways of her first book, Signs, with its focus on personal stories of people reconnecting with loved ones who have crossed over. The inclusion of stories about animals who had passed surprised me in the best way, adding a beautiful tenderness and dimension to the idea that love exists across every form of life.
What I appreciate most about Jackson is her ability to write with warmth and presence. Her voice feels like a hand on your shoulder, reminding you to look for meaning in small moments, to trust your intuition, and to stay open to the invisible support around you. While I still feel most drawn to her second book, The Light Between Us, because it offers such an intimate look into her own psychic process, this book carries its own powerful sense of reassurance. It focuses more on the experiences of others and the many ways signs show up in their lives, which gives the book a spacious, community feel.
All of Jackson’s books offer comfort, but each one holds a different kind of solace. If I were ranking them, it would be by how soothed I felt in the reading rather than how much I enjoyed them, and Guided certainly brought a deep sense of peace. It is a hopeful, gentle, and heart-expanding read for anyone curious about the continued presence of loved ones, or anyone searching for meaning in their own moments of connection.
This is a great book, bringing new knowledge about the reality we live in. Laura skillfully combines science and spirituality to bring the most multi-dimensional perspectives to the reader. I highly recommend it.
Laura Lynne Jackson has written a beautifully insightful book about how we are guided by light and energy on the other side. Not so much a “how-to” but more a “be aware” message, this collection of information, stories, and insight leaves you feeling hopeful about that which we cannot always see. Thank you to NetGalley and The Dial Press for the digital ARC.
If I had money I would be purchasing this book and gifting to everyone I know. I’m looking forward to reading it over and over again diving deeper each time. Thank you ✨
Beautiful, simple, fairly basic, but a good gift for a loved one struggling with loss/in the grieving process, or for yourself if grieving. Great reminders about our interconnectedness to nature and the mysteries of the universe that surround us, if only we stay open to our inner voice and second sight, along with the urging and assistance of the cosmos.
Laura Lynne Jackson, author of “Signs” and “The Light Between Us” has produced a comprehensive guide with tips on healing the body, support with grief and living a fulfilling life. She touches on various topics including: numerology, dreams, environmental influences, empaths, importance of art, nature, science and the power of thoughts.
She is a psychic medium and it would be like winning the lottery to get a reading with her. Yet, she offers readers an unconventional approach to healthy living with her personal thoughts backed up with true stories and reports. The book also includes quotes and poems between chapters – many you’ll want to highlight.
Some of the chapters are a reminder with much we know already: to eat healthy, get a good night sleep and watch for messages sent by a loved one that has passed. However, this is a well-written resource that reconnects us to what’s important in our life for our health and spiritual growth.
People need a great deal of support to get through these complex times and this has pages of inspiration not found in other places. It would also make a great gift.
My thanks to The Dial Press and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book with an expected release date of November 11, 2025.
Thank you to Dial Press/Random House and NetGalley for a digital ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review.
This gorgeous cover is only exceeded by the words within. I was drawn right into the book, and I loved the quotes between the chapters. Some I'd heard, some I hadn't, but they touched me.
I realized, a bit into the book, that I'd read The Light Between Us, and loved that as well.
This book makes you think about your place in the world, and it's the perfect time in this world of turmoil.
I've put this on my order list, to get a final copy upon publication. I want to give a few to my children.
Guided: The Secret Path To An Illuminated Life ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book has been one of most enjoyable reads of 2025... I've read other books by this author but by far this is my favourite so far.
The story's told in this book are beautifully told and moving, you can't help but feel a sense of love and light. Thank you to everyone who allowed Laura to share there story's with the readers, you definitely made this book very special.
I couldn't help but notice more things around me whilst reading this book and I would say nearly every chapter had something mentioned that meant something to me which I found extremely spooky but in a really good way, it made me smile alot.
I think everyone should read this book to just feel that the world and spirits around you are out there to help you on the paths your currently taking, thinking of taking and maybe not sure if it's the right thing... you'll soon find light in the messages that are being sent to you.
I feel so much lighter and aware after finishing this book, I've definitely noticed more people around me not being present in the moment and just letting there busy life take over.... there is so much more to see and feel if your open to it!
Just a truly eye opening read that will stay with you for a long time. My heart, mind and eyes will forever be open to the signs being sent by my loved ones and light givers ✨️
The other side isn't as far away as many think. Our loved ones who've crossed, including our beloved pets, can send us signs that they are around us. But how can we perceive and receive these signs?
This book helps answer that. It contains stories of people who've received signs from the other side, and it helps us become more open to receiving them as well. We can learn to notice what we get.
I read her book Signs shortly after my dad passed. Ever since, I ask off and on for signs from the other side. I experience so much joy when I receive one (like a cloud in the exact shape of a dolphin, a damselfly in my favorite shade of purple, and more). This book is a companion to that one, and it brings me so much hope.
I read it slowly, to savor it. I will be re-reading it.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC!
I loved reading the experiences people have felt & learning how to be open to experience it myself! It isn’t even that I am more open now than before but that I am more aware. This awareness has led me to notice things that were there all along. I was just not noticing them! Like when I pray at 11:11 I frequently stop at 11:22 which is my mother’s birthdate. I remember noticing the time & even commenting to my friend about how I pray for 11 minutes a lot but totally didn’t think about it being my mom’s birthday even though I had been asking over & over for a sign. I know, very obtuse. lol There have been other things as well that have happened recently & that I remember happening. Now I pay more attention!
I will forever feel somewhat indebted to this author and the impact she has had on my spirituality. She taught me how to listen to angels. She taught me how to connect with my spirit guides. I read her book Signs years ago and Im still carrying that magic through my life.
This book Guided feels very similar to Signs. I'm not sure if it taught me anything new, but it definitely cemented my approach to spirituality.
A very beautiful, and hope inspiring book about spirituality. I read this book at night as a bedtime story and it was a perfect, peaceful way to end the day.
Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to arc read Guided in exchange for my honest feedback.
Thank you NetGalley and Random House for this ARC. I’m grateful for the opportunity to read this inspiring book shortly after its release and share my thoughts.
Guided by Laura Lynne Jackson is a warm, deeply comforting, and spiritually optimistic book. Through a rich tapestry of real-life stories, Jackson shows how signs can appear in our lives, how creativity, gratitude, and openness help us tune in, and how this connection can guide us toward a more “illuminated life.” Her practical advice and heartfelt examples make it an uplifting read. For those grieving or seeking deeper meaning, Guided offers solace, inspiration, and a gentle reminder that we are not alone.
This book is a gift to your soul, written for anyone who has lost a loved one. 🥹 The personal stories are so touching and heartwarming. This book teaches you to look for the signs sent by your loved ones. The ones who are watching over you and guiding you. Since my sister passed, I have received some unbelievable signs. I truly believe this is her way of saying “I’m always with you and I’m okay.”
Guided by Laura Lynne Jackson is an incredible and uplifting read. While I already understood the concept of signs and guidance from the universe, this book was such a refreshing reminder, and I began noticing more signs right away. It flows beautifully, blending Laura’s wisdom with heartfelt, real-life examples that make the ideas come alive. A perfect balance of inspiration and practicality. Highly recommend, and I’m so excited for its release so more people can experience it!
I first read Signs and loved it, it is still my favorite LLJ book! I read the Light between Us after that and also enjoyed it so when guided came out I knew I had to read this one as well. I liked it but it felt a little bit more clinical than the others. I did enjoy reading the true accounts and it just affirms what I have learned. Signs really set the bar high and since that was my first book I sort of hold any other book up to that. Having said that, this one is definitely worth the read.
I love LLJ, but this book did not land as strongly for me as her others. Although I wholeheartedly believe in signs, too many of these stories felt more like meaning shaped by grief than powerful experiences of signs that will touch other readers. While I do not discount their value or impact for the individuals involved, the stories did not connect with me as inspiringly as her other books.
