Once upon a time, I killed the man I loved. Now, I have a single chance to bring him back. But to do so, I must go through Hell - literally. I’ll face its horrors, fight its monsters, and defy its very laws. For him, I would sacrifice everything. Even my own life.
He is my soulmate, bound to me by a force more powerful than even the gods themselves.
Except, Nick doesn’t remember any of it. He doesn’t remember us. His memories have been stolen, and in their place, a new identity is The Devil. The merciless King of Hell, cruel and unrelenting, with no trace of the man I once knew.
I should be terrified of the monster he’s become. Instead, I’m willing to do whatever it takes to bring him back to me. Come Hell or high water, I’ll make the Devil tremble before me, or I’ll burn this place to the ground.
As time runs out, the clock ticks down to our eternal damnation. For in Hell, the monsters that lurk in the shadows want nothing more than for us to stay, trapped for eternity.
But they have no idea what I’m capable of. They have no idea I harbor a monster of my own. And they have no idea just how viciousIcan be.
Nicole Rubino is a lover of fantasy, though she loves a steamy contemporary romance for good measure. Monstrous is her debut adult novel, and is the first of a three-book series. Morticia Addams is her role model, and you will often find Nicole belting out the tunes to any Stevie Nicks or Fleetwood Mac song (alas, not well). The mother of four young dragons (children), Nicole manages the beautiful chaos of her home by channeling it into her poor characters instead. Nicole lives in New York with her 100% Aries of a husband and said dragons.

Hmmm… where do I start? I was expecting more from this last book, and I’ll be honest...I'm a little disappointed.
Judging by the epilogue, I feel like there will be a spin-off series...

⁀➷𝓹𝓻𝓮-𝓻𝓮𝓿𝓲𝓮𝔀: IM CRYING, IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS Since book 2 ending, I've been DYING TO READ MORE
This is the third book in the series and it was somehow even better than the last two. It was to me, more emotional and then took a turn at extra spicy land as well. I loved it. Nick is now off being the King of Hell (yay extra snarky banter) and Rhiannon has to battle so many things including herself to get him back. Both of our main characters had so much growth in this book. I loved that Rhi had to actually stand on her own to do this. As much as I loved her with her friends in past books, it felt like she did hold herself back for them, although it wasn't because she thought they would judge her. It was because she was worried they would get hurt. She will always put others first to her own detriment, even if she is supposed to be the monster. Meanwhile, I liked Nick best in this book. He finally embraces everything about himself, even the things he was too afraid to let go of which kept him somewhat pushing Rhi away previously. Since things are not how they seem in Hell, we get some nice plot twists and maneuvers to wrap everything up. I am not actually ready to leave this world behind though.
I did not think it was possible to top the other two books but this is the PERFECT finale to the series!! Rhi is on a mission to get back her soulmate and will stop at absolutely nothing to do so while being an absolute badass girlboss who takes no shit from anyone- very feminine rage, very demure🙂↕️ meanwhile Nick may have lost his memories but the tension and pining for a woman he “doesn’t know” is beyond swoon worthy (I loved his POV)
The emotional rollercoaster is one you’re NOT prepared for. The tension, banter, and spice was top tier this book btw 😮💨
If you’re looking for: 🖤Dual POV 🖤Banter 🖤SPICE (involving blood, knives, claws, mirrors and more!) 🖤Literally in Hell 🖤Monsters x Demons 🖤Labyrinth x Dante’s Inferno vibes 🖤Badass FMC 🖤Possessive MMC who will destroy both Heaven and Hell if you touch what’s his 🖤Memory loss 🖤HEA
As someone who has ARC read every single one of these and absolutely fallen in love with this series and its characters, I can say without any doubt I’m sad this is over.
Rhi, Nick, the girls… I love them all. And this book was by far my favorite out of the three. I love them all, don’t get me wrong, but this one? This one was… 😮💨😮💨 spice galore. This was absolutely the spiciest of all of them and I’m here for it 👏🏻
This book had me giggling, shouting, and crying all within the span of a few chapters, and I’m sure my neighbors loved that.
As always, Nicole M. Rubino delivers. The way she pulls at your heartstrings while simultaneously making you blush and gasp is pure talent.
I loved the way she made Hell unlike what you hear from Christian ideology. It was something you don’t see often and it was a nice change from your typical fire and brimstone.
Her writing was once again flawless and left nothing to be desired. Her descriptions and imagery were powerful and beautiful.
This book releases October 29th, and I cannot recommend it enough. If you haven’t read the first two (Monstrous, Venomous), please DO IT!
Well, that was intense and hot hahaha. A great conclusion to this series and the opening of several storylines for the near future! I absolutely loved the concept of the story (I'm a sucker for Greek mythology anything... mix some Dante inferno references with Hell daddies and I'm a total goner).
I have enjoyed following Rhi and Nick's story for the past couple of years and it's such a bittersweet feeling to reach the conclusion of this series. I'll miss my girl gang the most 🖤 Hopefully we'll get some side stories and novellas in the future with the back stories of some of the characters (cough cough Circe, cough cough Baal/Hecate, cough cough both epilogues).
This third book was interesting, spicy and sweet (gotta say the last 50% may be prone to give some cavities, tho). Although this is the end of the series, it felt a bit disconnected from the previous two. Yes, there were lots of mentions of previous book scenes, but there was plenty of context for anyone picking this as a standalone. Also, there were a couple of things that either were left inconclusive for plot lines for future books OR where dropped completely as plot along the way (side eyeing the whole time crunch to get Nick back because *reasons*)
Huge thanks to the author for the ARC. All comments are my own.
Oh my god Nicole!!! Literally each book in this series got better than the already perfect previous one and this was no exception!!! I hope whatever muses you are possessed by never leave you and you keep blessing us with these wonderful stories. The author has a wonderful writing style that mesmerizes her readers until the final page. Her characters are alive and the love interests have such wonderful chemistry that regardless what they go through its delicious to consume. (And spicy)
The first half was ABSOLUTELY scrumptious to read, and I loved both POVs. The world Rhi visits is awesome and love how Nicole captures it and I hope the author revisits it in (hopefully nicole crossing my fingers 🥺🥺🫶) future story concepts!! And the second half waaaaaa I think it was wrapped up nicely for the characters while also leaving things open for the future 👀👀.
Consider me sat for any future Nicole book she ever writes. Thanks for the ARC 🫶🫶
I’ve heard there are those who worship the Devil, but you will be the first to say, that the Devil worships you.”
Finally! I am so obsessed with this series—it has me by the throat in the best way possible. We follow Rhi as she literally fights her way through Hell for her man. Small detail: said man is now the King of Hell and has zero memories of his prior life or of her.
But what kills me (in the best way, definitely not a pomegranate eating way) is how Raphael still feels her. He doesn’t know why, doesn’t remember her, yet every part of him is drawn to her. And the fact that he’s jealous of her lover,, The irony? He’s jealous of himself. The devil undone by his own heart. This little fact had me kicking my feet. 🥹😂
Nick’s dark, commanding energy this time around is pure sin and I was living for it. And Rhi, the queen that she is, can be inches from death, survive the hellish trials, slay a damn leviathan, and still have the audacity to want to be ravaged by the devil. Iconic 😈
Every twist had me gripping my Kindle like it owed me answers (I may or may not have left dents 🫨). Just when I thought they’d finally get the hell out of Hell, the universe throws another punch. But that ending… ugh. My heart is full, aching, and absolutely wrecked in the best way.
This was the perfect finale to a series that’s owned my entire dark-romantasy heart. Vicious dives straight into the chaos I’ve been missing, wrapping up every thread while leaving just enough temptation for the spin-off(s?maybe???) — and yes, I’m already feral for it.
What I love most about Nicole M. Rubino’s writing is how cinematic it feels. The world of Hell, the tension between the FMC and Nick, the emotional push and pull — it’s all intense but deeply human. You can feel every ounce of love, rage, and desperation driving these characters. With every book her stories become more and more emotional and engaging, the writing dragging you into the story more and more.
The pacing hit exactly right for a final book: dark, fast, and heartbreakingly satisfying. I closed it already wanting to reread the whole series just to live in that world again.
First off I want to say, thank you so much to Nicole for allowing me the honor of arc reading this whole series!
Now into the review, This book was the last in this series, for it being the last in a series I was expecting more. My expectations are always high for final books in series, it’s like a final send off and I always expect more. But I digress, we got to see the true love and connection between Rhi and Nick, I will say that the YEARNING in this book had me in the biggest chokehold!!! I love Nick and I love Rhi and of course the whole gang, but we really didn’t see much of the gang in this book but when they did show up, I BAWLED my eyes out!
In this book we have Rhi, entering into hell to get her man back, he has no memory of her but that does not stop Rhi from fighting to help Nick remember her and their love, it was so beautiful. I love how equally in love and obsessed they both are with each other, I love them!
There was a lot of action and a trial in this book and it was so good, I was literally on my toes rooting for my girl Rhi the whole time. The last 100 pages was such a rollercoaster and I kind of wish those things were paced better throughout the book because with so much happening in the end, I was kind of emotionally exhausted I felt like I couldn’t appreciate it as much as I wanted to.
We got 2 epilogues at the end of this book in 2 different realms and that’s leading me to realize that we will get more books in this world but different characters, which I am so excited for! But Nick’s and Rhi’s epilogue was a bit rushed and left on a cliffhanger, I would have loved to read about their happily ever after since this is their last book.
Other than that, I really enjoyed this book, I devoured this book up, the spice was great (per usual) and I loved being back in this world with Rhi, Nick, and the gang. I can’t wait to read future books by Nicole, I love her writing, I love how easy it is to get into her books, and just the emotions she pulls out of me while reading! Great job Nicole!
Thank you Nicole M. Rubino for providing me with an advanced reader copy of Vicious in exchange for my honest and unbiased review!
Omg… I don’t even know what to say. Vicious was everything I wanted and even more in the final book of the Monstrous series. Nicole gave us a whole new world in Hell and built an incredible finish for our favorite characters. I couldn’t even believe some of the twists that came in this book, and I was literally biting my nails throughout most of the read. The suspense was so real! There were some points I had to stop and take a breath to relax myself because I was so invested 😂
The LONGING! THE ABSOLUTE LONGING BETWEEN RHI AND NICK as his memories remain hidden from him is so gut wrenching and sweet, it genuinely made me cry. There were many tears shed, but also tons of heat!! The spicy scenes had me on the floor, like wow 😮💨 Every emotion throughout this read was so intense for me, which is something I absolutely cannot live without in a good book.
One of my favorite things about this book (and this entire series) is the commitment and love between Rhi and her girls. These girl bonds are the ones we crave as women, and seeing Rhi have the unstoppable force of her friends’ love and support guiding her through some of her most difficult challenges has been so beautiful to read.
The ending wrapped this book up perfectly, and even though Rhi and Nick’s trilogy is finished, there’s room for so much more in the Monstrous universe 👀 I would give Vicious ten stars if I could! A beautiful ending to one of my favorite series!
I absolutely loved this. Nic delivered perfectly. The emotions, the spice, the gory stuff! I enjoyed every second of it and I honestly want more! That ending had me hopeful more books on more then one spin off. Rhi has grown, matured, she is fierce, unhinged and amazing. Nick/Raph, oh god so hot. I missed the girls though, and would like to read more about them, and also about things in Hell. Azrael too, there's more to it? Too bad Rhi only eats one guy 😂
First of all I’m so sad this series is over!! It’s one of my favorites!!! It’s such a bittersweet ending for Rhi and Nick. I don’t want to spoil anything so I won’t say a lot about to plot. This storyline didn’t go where I thought it was going. This whole book was such a surprise for me. I loved how it took place in H3ll. And the epilogues were some of my favorite chapters from the book. I literally cannot wait to see what else Nicole has in store for her readers.
This is the final book in the series and I tried to pace myself as much as I could
Nick lost his dang mind I tell you. In book 2 he ends up with ____ and I swear I lost it. If you read books 1 & 2 you would understand my frustrations with Nick at the end
And Atropos. I’m sick of her and her riddles. I mean I guess this time she meant well in a sense. And things ended up how they should’ve but still
Rhi. What do you do when your man or er uh the love of your life gets taken? You go to hell and bring em back. She went thru hell and back literally to bring Nick back. ( you’ll find out why im saying Nick and not the other name) and you know what? She did it
Now they have a HEA but Nicole you can’t leave me hanging like that!! I have questions and need answers!! Not just about the mysterious bitey visitors but isa and her story and her new man.
I highly recommend a binge of this series! It’s soooo good and each book doesn’t disappoint
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
WOW. I absolutely love Nicole’s writing and the way it consumes me. I mean, I’ve been YEARNING for this book ever since finishing book 2 and it did not disappoint. I genuinely think I could have inhaled this book in a few hours
The level of spice was sublime and not overdone like some books.
So, Nick gets his memories back and I look down at my Kindle percentage which is only around halfway and I’m like oh shit, somethings gonna go down. And go down it did😭
Loved the girl gang making an appearance and how Rhi will forever be a girls girl
And the epilogues?!?!? Nicole knows how to leave a girl wanting more😭
OH MY GOSH, the ending, the beginning along with the twists and turns, I was over the moon for Vicious. This takes place right after Venomous ends and the beginning where Rhi is determined to bring Nick back to her. Rhi's has been through so much that I felt everything she was feeling. The throne scene was by far one of my favorites (IYKYK).
I was so excited for this that I could barley contain my excitement. I am sad that this is the end of the series but will continue recommending it.
What a perfect ending to the series! 🥹❤️ It had everything — action, love, friendship, and so many plot twists that kept me glued to the pages. I honestly couldn’t put it down!
The banter was top-tier and totally fit the characters. “Is that a dagger in your pants, or are you just happy to see me?” had me laughing way too hard 😂
And omg the spice?? The throne chapter alone… absolutely delivering 🔥 The chemistry between the two main characters was unreal 😍 ❤️ “My soul knows him, in whatever realm, whatever body he inhabits.” ❤️
I’m sad it’s the end of the trilogy, but I loved how it wrapped up — and the potential hint at future stories in the epilogue?? 👀
Because it has her fighting to find a way to get to hell and then when she gets there she has to fight to get him back and be something to him that she doesn't want to be.
But after she gets his memories back it gets emotional cause they are so scared of losing one another.
In the end, they get the life they deserve with each other and he gets free of hell.

"The Devil was never supposed to fall in love." "And yet, he did," she says with a smile. "He did, and the realms should tremble with fear at the lengths he would go for her."
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 🌶🌶🌶.5
What you'll find in this book: ● Dark Romantasy ● Fated Mates ● Searing Tension ● Labyrinth x Dante's Inferno ● Dual POV ● More Cannabilism ● Amnesia ● "Crawl to Me" ● Telepathic Connection ● Court Intrigue ● Knife to Throat
Hot damn, what a sizzling final installment in this trilogy! This series is one of my absolute favourites, and Nicole did not dissapoint when it came to an action packed and heart wrenching conclusion to this story. I love that this series blends together dark academia with Greek mythology influences to form a story that is dark, romantic and absolutely soaked in blood. When I say this conclusion to Rhi and Nicks story was everything I wanted and so much more I mean that, there was love, loss, monsters, deadly trials, demons and the devil himself. The romance is searing and all consuming in the best way, a kind of love that withstands everything that is thrown at it.
Rhi is heartbroken, she has lost her soul mate to hell and to get him back she must go and get him. However, the road to hell was never going to be easy, but Rhi is not one to give up without a fight. With the help of people she has met along they way, Rhi must help Nick remember who he is, and who she is to him even if thay means facing hell in all its forms and the monsters that lurk round every corner and the pageantry that everyone seems happy to abide by. Bound together by a force more powerful than even the gods, there is nothing Rhi won't sacrifice for Nick even if that is her own life. With Nicks memories stolen away, he has fully stepped into his role as the Devil, absolutely merciless with no trace of the man Rhi once new and loved. Rhi should be terrified of who he is and what he has become but she will do nothing to bring him back, even if she has to bring the Devil to his knees in order to do it. With time running out before they both become trapped forever, Rhi must race against the time and all the odds to get Nick back and return home, whatever it takes.
Rhi is such an amazing FMC, she has come such a long way from the girl we met at the start of the trilogy. She has become so confident in herself and her abilities, I love watching her lean into her monstrous side as time goes on, recognising that those around her accept everyhting that she is, both human and monster. Her logical brain shines through in this story, as it has within the previous books and her absolute desire to not give up is inspiring. I am obsessed with Nick and his obsession with Rhi, he is absolutely carnal in his desire for her and everyone deserves to be loved in the same way that Nick loves Rhi. We get to see Nick as a character lean into his darker side within his role as the devil as well as being that man will stop at nothing to protect his family and the woman he loves. There is this balance between his darker side and his softer underbelly which we get to as this story goes on. Alongside the two main characters, we get to meet a whole new group of characters within this book as well as keeping the core characters we have met in the previous books in the series. I particularly loved Baal and his sassy and teasing demeanor and Isadora and her strength that we grow to understand and respect despite her circumstances. I love that Nicole doesn't shy away from her characters darker side and she fully embraces them, which makes this series so unique and perfectly monstrous.
This story kept me guessing in the best possible way, I loved the intensity of the story from both a romance and high stakes perspective. Nicole has crafted a story that is a stunning as it is dark, with characters that you'll fall in love with despite their people eating proclivities. In every way this story provides, whether this is in the form of deadly trials that you're not sure if the characters will make it out of, or when it comes to court politics and then a romance that is nothing short of searing. There are a few mic drop moments that had me literally squealing with delight, as well as moments that had me sobbing and grinning from ear to ear. The pacing was fast but fit with the story where time is literally running out for the characters, I wouldn't have had it any other way. We get to discover more of Hell and is environment within its story, and it all lends to the tale being sold to utter perfection. Nicole has teased up in the most beautiful ways at the end if this book, and it has me so dang excited to see what she is going to create next!
Thank you so much to the author for sending me an e-ARC to read and review early.

Guys I could literally post quotes as my entire review LOL I could not. stop. highlighting. this book!!! I have so many emotions in finishing this series.... first I am so grateful this series lead me to meeting Nicole through instagram I JUST LOVE HER!!!!! Nicole is seriously such the biggest girls' girl and I see so much of her in Rhi (the main character) that it's so hard for me to differentiate them
I fell in love with Monstrous on a total whim (book one!) and I’ve been hooked ever since. The monster college. The girl gang. The enemies to lovers tensionn I AM SO OBSESSED WITH RHI AND NICK!!!!
Watching Rhi grow into the woman she is now was so satisfying Seeing her and Nick evolve into this absolute power couple that could literally dominate any realm? just perfection I want more and more and more It honestly felt like watching friends grow into themselves... I’m just so proud of Rhi and who she becomes by the end of this series. They fought for each other, and this ending gave me everything I hoped for... and then some
ALSO the spice in this book??? DAMMMNNN GIRL Nicole did not disappoint with this I absolutely loved the recovering memeories plot and going into hell itself who knew hell is a setting I want to dwell in more? I THRIVED IN HELL hehehehe
I just love this trilogy This trilogy has been such a wild, emotional, fun ride for me I’m in awe of Nicole’s growth as a writer and of how beautifully she closed this story. I'm just so sad but also so happy for the conlusion of all of this BRAVO NICOLE!!!!
It has been less than 24 hours since I finished my arc but I still don't have the words to describe everything Nicole did in one final book. If you haven't read books 1 and 2 I recommend not reading the rest of the review!
It almost felt like we get even more than we paid for. Rhi, Nick, and the Court he reigns over all go on so many journeys of different forms of growth and wars it feels like multiple stories all happening concurrently. This may be the last book in the trilogy but I love that it comes completely full circle from the first and second book, too.
The soul searing love between Rhi & Nick takes entirely new levels in both yearning and tension. THE THINGS THIS MAN... DEVIL... MMC SAYS TO HER... I am forever changed. Rhi is a far stronger woman than me because I would've been crawling, begging, READY ifyouknowhatImean.
One of my absolute favorite parts of Nicole's writing is beautiful and honest girl friendships. We build a found family in books 1 & 2 and while circumstances are obviously very, very different in book 3, Nicole STILL manages to instill women empowering and protecting women. And she had me absolutely sobbing in ch. 31. Don't @ me if you read it and sob, too!!! I warned you!!! But it's so, so beautiful.
The ending had me an emotional puddle. I adored this world Nicole created. I would be happy to never ever leave it. Demons, monsters, and bad men included. This will satiate your need for feminine rage, fated soulmates, Greek mythology monster retelling, and Demon court intrigue.
Thank you Nicole M. Rubino for my advance reader copy! This is my honest and unbiased review.
I have waited for this book for a year and it was nothing but amazing! I couldn’t wait to be back in this world! In a world of monsters, devils, demons, girlhood - love!
This book picks off where book 2 ends and when I tell you I cried, fell in love, rooted for my girl, cried, was seriously HOT lmfao - it was all ! All of it!
The love between Rhi & Nick, I swear I felt it! Our girl RHI made sure she was going to try everything to get her man. I love the way Nicole writes their story - you feel everything, how they describe their feelings for each other I was eating every crumb from their fingers.
So yeah this book picks up from where the second one ends and we are hell, going to get our man and hope that because we are soulmates he remembers who we are even a little. Knowing that there is no way back if he doesn’t we’re in it forever! It’s that love you want to fight for, as readers you root for, you’re yelling and talking to your book and the characters like they really gonna talk back to you or listen lol
This book was so good, like even the side characters had me falling for them, wanting to know about their story.
The way I wished I was living this book like a movie or a tv series because I was seeing it play out like that in my head.
This series is Greek mythology meets The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and if you haven’t read it please read it! It’s a series you really can’t put down because it consumes you and you want to know what happens next.
Forewarning: light spoilers ahead if you haven’t read Monstrous or Venomous, but nothing too wild.
I loved this shift in scenery. Instead of returning to Alystair University, we descend straight into the underworld, and honestly, it’s the perfect move since, well, Nick is the Prince of Hell. Or should I say… by another, darker name? 👀
When that reveal dropped, I was shook. I suspected Nick was more than a monster, maybe even god-tier, but I didn’t expect this. A literal god of darkness? Yes, please.
Now, Rhi is on a mission, bring Nick back to the mortal realm and restore his lost memories. He doesn’t remember her, but she refuses to give up. Their love is the definition of eternal: two souls fighting demons, trials, and fate itself to find their way back to each other.
It’s not easy. The trial Rhi faces is brutal, one no one survives, and it tests everything she is. But the payoff? Absolutely worth every heart-pounding, tear-filled page. That near-ending scene broke me (fine, I cried), and the final chapters built me right back up again.
Even though the girl gang takes a step back, they still matter, showing up exactly when it counts, closing the story full circle.
And that epilogue? Nicole, are we getting a spin-off? Because that tease at the end feels like a promise, and I’m so here for it.

“That’s it. Make me bleed while I make you come.”
“The taste of her lingers on my tongue like an intoxicating poison, a toxin with the most addicting flavor that has me begging for another taste, even if it kills me.”
“The whimper that escapes her lips should be bottled and sold as an intoxicating elixir.”
“The Devil was never supposed to fall in love.”
“I am the fucking Devil, and it’s about time I raise Hell for the woman I love.”
What a conclusion to this trilogy - my blood pressure went up and down, up and down. It was full of sadness/grief, intrigue, helping to remind someone, trials, more trials and then the end… which I will say nothing about! Only that it was satisfying, after all the unnerving emotions I felt during the rest of the book.
It screams “Love Conquers All” - relating to both Rhi’s beau and her besties. Every turn it takes, someone is there for Rhiannon (FMC). I LOVE the support that she has! Anything is truly possible! Just saying…
Nicole took a chance on me not only reading her other two books, but also this ARC, by the deadline - and I DID IT! LOVED every second of it! I was late to the party, but now I’m caught-up and SO READY for her WIP! Street Team Member and Nicole M. Rubino FANATIC! Auto-buy!
Great 3rd book in the Monstrous series, continues right where the second book, Venomous ended.
This series is amazing! Every book just keeps getting better and better. And I think this book was the perfect ending for Nick & Rhi’s story.
Again this book was full of action. The found family aspect between Rhi and her girl group continued to be amazing. The relationship and relationship development between Rhi and Nick has been great throughout the series, their story hasn’t been an easy one but I’m happy they got the ending they deserved.
Isa was an interesting character and I would love to learn more about her. And that ending!! I can’t wait to read more!
“I love you all too. See you in Hell.” “Beautiful and deadly. Sounds like quite a woman.” “Do you know what it means to dance with the Devil?” “There are no gods here, sorceress, only the Devil. Now, come for me.” “I’d face all the dangers of Hell to find you before I’d choose peace in Heaven without you.” “If I was sucking your dick, I’m sure you’d find an excuse to keep me around too.”
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
I’m at a loss for words…I became obsessed with this series when I got to ARC read the first two thanks to Good Girls PR, and needless to say Nicole got a reader/fan for life! I’ve been (patiently) waiting (dying) for this book since I finished Venomous!
I had high expectations for this book because of my love for the first 2 books, and it lived up to the hype!! It’s better than I could’ve asked for!! I’m so invested in Rhi and Nick, but I feel like Rhi came into her own so much more in this book and I’m OBSESSED with her!!
The emotional rollercoaster had me wanting to throw my kindle (kindle is safe) it’s so worth the ride!! I don’t even know how to review this book without spoiling it but this series?! It’s amazing and I’m in love!!
I straight up messaged the author asking if she writes with crack because of how much I devoured and am obsessed with this book!!

I’m so extremely grateful to the author for sending me this arc!!
First of all, I want to thank the author for providing me with an arc in exchange for my honest opinion. I couldn't finish the book before release but I didn't want to not leave a quick review.
Starting off, I thought this book would be a hard read, given the events in the previous books and how they ended. I liked however how we're jumping straight into the plot, no waiting around, no dragging the chapters. As for the plot, I enjoyed it. I would've liked to suffer more, tho. I wanted the stakes to be HIGH. And like, sure, they were. But I wanted MORE. More suffering, more longing. As a standalone, this book is great. When you stop to take into consideration the past two books, you kind of miss the girl gang and this third one feels disconnected, even.
Either way I can say I have had a fun time reading this book and the series as a whole. Plus, this third book opens the way for new characters and new stories, which is very interesting and I'll be very excited to read the author's next books!
OH. MY. GOD. This was the book I was most excited for this year; and it did not disappoint. This trilogy has absolutely consumed me. It made me laugh, cry, and fan myself because, let’s be honest, the spice? Whew. 🔥 I feel so lucky to have received an ARC of this book, and I devoured it (okay, maybe not as fast as Rhi, iykyk). Nicole’s writing is seamless, with transitions that flow effortlessly and a story that grips you from the first page. I’m trying to keep this spoiler-free, so bear with me; but the longing, the banter, the emotional rollercoaster that Nick/Raphael and Rhi go through? I was hooked. Completely and utterly hooked. Even though I just finished the third book, I already know I’m going to reread the entire trilogy. It’s that good. The story, the inspiration, the depth, it all stayed with me. Thank you, Nicole, for the chance to read this masterpiece. I cannot wait to see what you write next.
Thank you for the arc. I appreciate it as always. I would say this is almost a four star for me. There is I believe a curse placed on that book three in a trilogy or series is never ever as good as book one or two to me. It’s tragic I know I guess going into this I was expecting the storyline to go differently and I was very excited for that and to no fault of the book. It was too much sex for me and that’s because of the state that I am in. I’m not looking for that as much as I’m looking for yearning. So that is no fault to the book. I have a lot of feelings I think with book 3 in any series things are always tied up so neatly and that neatness always like drives me a little crazy. I will say the pregnancy and children thing was not my jam. Normally I don’t mind a pregnancy trope or like even the conversation of it, but it was just Not great to me. I just wasn’t into it. I still enjoyed it, but I will say I love book one the most still.
