Warrior to warrior, being to being, entity to entity, the vastness of the cosmos is meaningless when everything’s connected. A strange force awakens inside Isha, sending her spiralling on wild journeys where she sees through the eyes of other beings. With experiences that are beyond comprehension, they make her question reality and drive her to the brink of madness. She may be a normal fourteen-year-old, but she is unwillingly thrust into a cosmic battle between good and evil. Her goal, to save the alien child and prevent a wider inter-stellar war.
Liam, a university student in a mundane existence, is suddenly manipulated by a mysterious entity within. It invades his very being, dwelling dark inside him. It tortures him into doing its terrible bidding. It tasks him with a mission that defies his morality—to find and kill that very same seemingly innocent child.
Hosted by powerful beings, a thrilling race across alien worlds begins. One fearsome warrior must face another, each with opposing goals, but for the sake of all beings in the galaxy, will the child live or die?

‘Once upon a time, there was a wizard and that wizard had a dream. His dream was to spark kid’s imagination through the telling of amazing tales. So, with his pointy hat on his head and his long and slender fingers, he picked up a pen and began to write. The candle flickered as the pages turned one after the other, night after night.
He journeyed long and journeyed far. He went all the way to the mountains, through the forests and valleys. He travelled through the mists of time and through the wonders of space. He met dragons and ghosts and a myriad of magic creatures along the way. And, he did it all without ever leaving his chair.
As the images ran wild through his mind, his pen scratched away on the paper. Then one day, after many years and much toil, he had done it. He had created wondrous books to ignite kid’s imagination and to help them to think and grow and dream.
And just in case you wondered, the wizard still journeys through story world and scribbles by candlelight to this day.’
When Barry Brunswick says Entities, he means Entities, and lots of them. Our primary focus is on Isha and Liam and the forces that visit them, ultimately whisking them away to distant realms. One for dark, one for light, there is a battle brewing that becomes everything you could ask for in this sci-fi/action/adventure with unique and original beings, otherworldly locales, creative tech and weaponry, friendships and enemies, and a storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Brunswick keeps the plot moving along quickly, throwing in some mystery and points that will have you guessing until the end. All in all, a very entertaining read. As with Brunswick’s other books that are rated for YA, I think Entities Connected is great for the big kids too. It’s fascinating and wondrous and a true literary escape.
This first book in a two part sci fi fantasy series was brilliant! Full of action, aliens and mind bending realities. The characters are extremely well written, full of depth and angst, and come to life off every page. The writing is vivid and imaginative, with a fast-paced plot that alternates between worlds, minds, and moral dilemmas. Get ready to step into a dream you can't quite control, but can't look away from either.
Action packed novel that you will not want to put down. From chapter to chapter, you have no idea what will happen next! An exciting read for young adults and older.
