The Original Silver Screen Superman

Rate this book
Complete review with a collection of images dedicated to the first live-action incarnation of Superman on the silver screen. Veteran serial actor, Kirk Alyn, gave movie goers an outstanding performance as both Clark Kent and Superman in spite of the low budget production values, and although he did not continue the work on the television series of the 1950s, he will always hold a respectable place in the evolution of America's favorite action hero.

The television adventures of Superman

Okay. There is no index and I wish the writers, directors and actors had been listed in the rear of each episode. But, this is the best darned book on the George Reeves Superman character available, ever published… I mean this book is good!

The book is hugely illustrated with photos and recurring characters are cited for additional episode. Actually, an index would have taken Bifulco’s book to a new level.
