This is a very entertaining and addictive read, and it's better when you read in order.

Dani has been struggling with her gift all series long. Unfortunately things aren't settling down, if anything, it's becoming more dangerous.
The Retirees are helping out as much as possible, but Dani's life seems to be out of control. When a young woman helping out at the B and B is the next to lose her life in this small town, Dani's gifts compel her to investigate.

These characters are easy to connect with, and enjoy. The mystery of who committed the crime kept me very invested and the pages turned themselves. There are many layers to this one, and even though Dani is getting significantly better using her magic to help her with investigations, things surrounding Grace, Meredith, and the long-standing curse are becoming dangerous.

I absolutely recommend this author, story, and series. It's imperative to read in order so events and details align. The next part of the storyline cannot come soon enough!

I was fortunate to receive a complimentary ARC of this one from Booksirens (thank you) and happily leave my review.

Grimoires and Ghostly Guests is the sixth book in the 'A Williams Witch Mystery' series, although the mysteries are stand alone, there is an overarching story and references made to previous books that would be missed.

The story picks up shortly after the events of the last book, poor Dani, she's had so much change in such a short amount of time. Grace is still acting weird, Chris just asked for space, and now another murder has happened in Point Pleasant - one she finds that she can't ignore, literally.

I love this series so much, the overarching plot is enticing and the individual mysteries are puzzling and engaging. The characters are all individual and have their own voices. Highly recommend as a quick cozy mysteries read.

Thank you to Eloise Everhart and BookSirens for the advance copy. I'm exited to see what happens in book 7!

Wow just wow! So many things are happening at once it’s hard for Dani to prioritize and figure out how which to help with/fix first. A murder of a sweet young woman, her daughter’s strange behavior, the curse, Chris. What’s a girl to do? One task at a time that’s what.
Great story but oh that ending why do you leave us ah going like this?! I can’t wait to find out what’s next!! I’m loving each story as we learn more magic, more about the past and help do right in the present. Fabulous story in a fabulous series!!

Thanks to Eloise Everhart and BookSirens for this free Arc.

Grimoires and the Ghostly Guest is the sixth book in the series and things are starting to become more serious than before for the witches of Point Pleasant.

✍🏽📖 The Reading Experience

As with the previous books, the progression of the mystery plots and the pacing strike a well-done balance. The various plotlines merging together seamlessly.

📚 The Story

The story begins where we left off in Spells and the Suspiciously Silent, with Dani worried about her daughter Grace who seems to be pulled towards the house of the late Meredith Walker— which they learnt previously is off limits and steeped in dangerous magic and housing a malevolent spirit.

Then, Dani gets a text from her friend Heather: a guest at her Bed and Breakfast has been murdered. This time, however, her visions become much potent, almost debilitating. While fending off an increasing hostile Sheriff and dealing with relationship problems with her boyfriend, Chris, Dani must find out what all this has to do with the curse and the town.

🪄 The Magic System

We get to see more of the negative aspects of magic in this book, specifically the affect the curse has on the witches of the town. We also expand on the supernatural world beyond witches, with the introduction of the Fae, as well as more about ghosts.

👥 Characters

Dani: She does not get an easier job of it this time around. Her visions are more volatile and painful than ever, leading her to doubt whether she should continue investigating. She also faces a dilemma with Chris, wondering if she's brave enough to tell him the truth about her magic and trust in their relationship.

Grace: She's going through her own trouble with her magic, which is more potent than Dani's and her increasingly strange behavior.

Izzy, Heather & Abby: Great to have Izzy back after being absent from the last book! She grows closer to Dani and her friends, while staying at Heather's B&B. It was also nice to see Abby moving on from what happened in the last book.

Megan: We finally find out what's up with the Millers. In the previous books, Chris had been sent out to the out-of-the-way Millers' Farm to patrol the rarely used intersection as punishment for Chris's friendship with Dani. The Miller's having a bad reputation in town, but once the cause was revealed, I felt for Megan and her family.

✔️ Final Thoughts
Six books and counting of wonderfully fun, witchy, cozy mystery. Can't wait to read the next one! 😊

“Grimoires and the Ghostly Quest”, the sixth installment in Eloise Everhart’s “Williams Witch Mysteries” delivers another captivating and immersive story that kept me hooked from start to finish. Everhart masterfully weaves together dual plotlines with interconnecting elements, a technique that adds depth and intrigue to the narrative—one of the many reasons I love this series.

Once again, the story unfolds through Dani Williams’ first-person perspective, allowing readers to witness her growing mastery of her powers. Her personal evolution makes her involvement in a local murder investigation feel not just compelling, but inevitable. Defying the sheriff’s warnings and without Chris’s support, Dani must rely on her own instincts and magic to uncover the truth.

Meanwhile, a sinister threat looms over her daughter, Grace, heightening the tension and stakes dramatically. Everhart excels at character development, and with each book, familiar faces like Heather, Izzy, and Chris become even more richly layered. New additions, such as the intriguing Megan, bring fresh dynamics to the story, keeping the series feeling vibrant and unpredictable.

I devoured this book in just a few sittings—it was impossible to put down! Now, I’m eagerly anticipating the next installment, especially with the impending arrival of the Wardens and the looming danger they pose to Grace. Bring on the magic, the mystery, and the mayhem!

In this sixth installment of the Williams Witch Mystery series, Dani Williams finds herself tangled in a web of supernatural visions and suspicious guests after a maid turns up dead at Bee’s Bed and Breakfast. Her psychic powers are going haywire, her love life is on the rocks, and her best friend Grace is acting seriously off. Basically, Dani’s juggling more chaos than a witch at a broom convention.

The mystery is cozy but compelling, with just enough paranormal spice to keep things interesting. The suspects are delightfully shady, and the B&B setting adds a charming, slightly eerie backdrop. Eloise Everhart knows how to blend witchcraft, sleuthing, and emotional drama without ever losing the cozy vibe.

If you’re into amateur sleuths, witchy twists, and stories that don’t take themselves too seriously, this one’s a fun ride. Just make sure you’ve read the earlier books—this series builds on itself like a spellbook full of secrets.

Can Dani solve a murder and help Grace?

Lately, Dani has noticed that Grace’s behavior has become more and more erratic and eventually she goes to a different witch Dani hasn’t met yet for help. Meanwhile, there is a murder at Heather’s B&B and Dani is compelled to solve it by the headaches she gets whenever she decides not to investigate. These stories are just so good. There is nothing in them not to like. Not only has Dani become more and more accepted on Whidbey Island, well, except maybe by the sheriff, but she’s managed to make some really good friends too. The plots are always tight and move along at a good pace and I just love the Retirees! They are the best. I am really glad Charlie is her familiar too. And…the best part is that there is more than just a murder to solve in all of the stories in this series.

Grimoires And The Ghostly Guest is A Williams Witch Mystery Book 6. Like the previous books, it is an enjoyable, fast-paced cozy murder mystery with paranormal elements. While part of a series, each book stands alone and gives necessary backstory without major spoilers. The mystery is the main focus, with side plots suggesting future books. I love the whole series, but the current book is my favorite as Dani’s growing witch powers almost force her to solve the murder while putting her romantic and family relationships at risk. Her struggle feels painfully real. I readily recommend this book to fans of engaging and entertaining paranormal mysteries. I really enjoyed reading Grimoires and the Ghostly Guest. I know and love the characters in the Williams Witch Mystery series, and the stories continue to be engrossing. The author does an excellent job of balancing a complete mystery in each book with unravelling the overall mystery of the curse on the witches. This book was a roller coaster as Dani tries to juggle the demands on her as an investigator, friend, girlfriend, witch, and especially a mom, and the book ends with a bombshell. This series keeps pulling me in even deeper, and I can't wait to read the next book. I'm almost sad that we're almost at the end, but I'm so excited to see how everything resolves. I highly recommend this series.

This was extremely sad to have a joyful young life cut short for greed!! From everyone's accounts that knew Linda, she was selfless, but evil greed took that all away. Despite crabby nasty Bob, Dani found out who the killer was and while the confrontation went on lives were in peril. How fortunate that the one person Dani avoided had the answers she needed! I liked that Dani finally came clean with Chris about being a witch. How did he take it?? Dani gets some helpful clues about what's wrong with Grace , to be continued… I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest opinion.

Every book I have read in this series draws me in more. I finish each book by looking to see when the next one is expected and looking forward to the day I can find out more about the coven and the family’s story. This one was no exception. I love the characters (especially the retirees), thy mystery is interesting, and the story keeps my attention (maybe too much - I forgo sleep to read!). But to be perfectly honest, it isn’t the mystery in this cozy novel that makes me enjoy it, but the story of the family, the coven, and the town. I can’t wait to read the next one!!

This has been a fun series. Dani returns home only to find that she is a witch. Not only is she a witch, but a cursed one. Her curse gives her sight that she cannot ignore. Should she try she is beset by blinding painful headaches. So when yet another murder occurs, Dani, with the help of the retirees (a coven of older cursed witches), go about using what power they can to solve the case. Again. There is also an introduction to a new character, another cursed witch who may prove to be very interesting indeed. was a good little read.

I continue to enjoy this series and the characters. The mystery was well-plotted and it was very fun with the red herring of the green eyes. I didn't figure it out until Dani did, and I like that in a mystery. The clues were there, and the story made sense. There was a satisfying advancement of the overall cursed coven plot, with a cliffhanger at the end. The relationship between Dani and Chris was also advanced in a believable way, and I really resonated with the Truly, Madly, Deeply song by Savage Garden that was referenced. There was less focus on Dani's insurance adjuster job, which I missed. I look forward to the next book in the series.

There was no way Dani was going to be able to step away from this latest murder investigation, even with Sheriff Bob being such a total jerk about it. Her sight curse made sure of it! To make things even worse, Grace is showing signs of strange behavior that have Dani and the retirees worried. Add in Chris still not talking to her and it’s surprising Dani can even function! Then things start to get better, but then we get to the ending and WHAM! Things start to make sense in a twisted way. My jaw hit the floor with what was discovered! I can hardly wait for the next book!

This series just keeps getting better and better. The characters are well rounded, very interesting and really make up a big part of the book. There's mystery, paranormal issues, family issues, romance - basically a little bit of everything. It's a great setting in a town you learn more and more about with each book. This history really draws me in, you learn more about the town, the people and the magic in each book. I can't wait to read the next one!

We got left on one heck of a cliffhanger here! I've been enjoying this series this year, and now I'm anxious for April to arrive for the next installment. It was wonderful to see everyone coming together for Dani when she got in trouble, and I will be thrilled for the day when Bob either gets his head out of his butt or gets his come upping. He went way too far in this one. I'm also terrified for Grace, but I'll have to wait for the next installment to find out what happens to her.

Dani has a lot on her mind. Her daughter is acting odd with no reasonable explanation and there is a murder to solve. The investigation would be easier if she weren't in the crosshairs of the local police. Not to mention it is hard to narrow down the suspect list. With lots of twists and turns this is an enjoyable cozy mystery. I would read the entire series although technically it can be enjoyed as a standalone. It sets up the start of the next book which we have to wait until spring to read.

I love this series and every book just increases my excitement towards where the story is going.

It's not just about writing, it's also about how the book paces itself along with how the author always brings out the importance of friendship and relationships along with trust and of course magic.

I think the next few installments of the series will be mind blowing considering the way the curse is going. Eagerly waiting for the next book.

Dani still has a lot on her mind. Of course she's sticking her nose in the new case, where it doesn't belong. A suspenseful read that ends with a mystery. I hope we won't have to wait long for the next book to be published. This series is so good.

Ooooh! Craziness abounds in this book! I am not what is going on with Grace but I am a bit worried. I am happy that Dani has so many good friends that care for her. I am happy for her. I hope that Megan can help her break the curse as well as the curse on her own family. This was such a fun book to read and I can’t wait for the next one!
