I am Sitharaam Jayakumar and my friends call me Jai. I am an information technology professional having worked in the IT field for the past twenty-seven years. My foray into writing had an interesting beginning. A year and a half back we had the founding day function of the organization I work in. One of my friends suggested that I present a poem as part of the function. Frankly, I was slightly taken aback as I had never tried writing before.

The only writing I had ever done before was an Independence Day speech in my fifth grade and essays as part of my academic curriculum. Well to cut a long story short, I decided to give it a go just for the heck of it. I wrote a poem inspired by my mischievous twelve-year-old daughter. The poem was a big hit at the function and I started my blog and posted a few poems in it which had a very good reception. Soon poems gave way to articles and articles were followed by photography. After some time I took to writing fiction. And finally, my first thriller Eighty Hours To Save Karen was born.

This was followed by the book The Krishnapur Kidnappings. Then came a book on sportspersons. And I have now published my latest action, adventure novel set in a bygone era titled The Himadripuram Adventure.

The Himadripuram Adventure is an exemplary espionage novel that captivated me right from the start. With intense and unprecedented twists and turns, this book served as a palate cleanser for its unique storyline and unbridled anticipation while navigating a treacherous and indigenous plot.

The story takes place in the vast and bountiful kingdom of Himadripuram. The benevolent and just king Devdutt Narayan has always been there for the people of his kingdom. However, it is revealed that a conspiracy of deadly and treacherous plot is being brewed amidst the seemingly ordinary.

To subjugate matters, Jagan Mohan, the chief of the Himadripuram Khoofiya Vibhagh begins to gather intel and plans but soon enough two back - to - back murders occurred and both of them were valiant members of HKV. This conspiracy has now ranked itself as a high priority and sensitive mission, one that requires utmost well-calculated strategy and precise execution. There may be more than one traitor amongst them and trust becomes a liability. Jagan entrusts Vishnu Sarma, a sensible royal guard with the information and it is only a matter of time before the real culprits and colluders are brought to light.

This book is a riveting page-tuner. The story encapsulates political pursuits, treachery, false propaganda, betrayal blanketed in the form of allegiance, revolution, and unforeseen twists and turns. The author kept the stakes of curiosity and suspense high throughout the story. With an extraordinary propulsive plot execution I was absolutely surprised at the revelations at the end. The characters are well fleshed and the element of surprise was one of the strongest aspects of the storyline. I'm truly looking forward to reading the next book.

The Himadripuram Adventure is one of a kind, strikingly engaging book. I'd highly recommend this book.
