The blood of a princess
and the heart of valkyrie

Sigrid may be the last surviving royal of Vanaheim, but she’s more warrior than princess. Even astride Sleipnir, her legendary eight-legged horse, Sigrid can’t fight the darkness unleashed by the Night Elves. And at any moment, the god Loki could unleash chaos upon them all...

With the fate of nine worlds perilously close to breaking, there’s only one way to restore the by restoring Vanaheim’s gods-given magic. But doing so means undertaking a journey that’s not only treacherous but nearly impossible.

With her beloved Mariam by her side, Sigrid must find a way to unite all the worlds…including Helheim.

It will take courage.

It will take strength.

Most of all, it will tempt Sigrid to draw upon the thing she fears most: the darkness inside her own heart. Because the only way to take on a god—and win—will be to raise an army from the most fearsome corners of the nine worlds.

The Sigrid and The Valkyries series is best enjoyed in order.

The Valkyries Legacy by Tiana Warner is the third book in the Sigrid and The Valkyries series. This series has been blowing my mind, so I am happy to be back in the saddle again with Sigrid.

We open with immediate action and I love it. Will I get a chance to catch my breath along the way? No, I won’t. The action and danger are intense and non stop. The vivid descriptions of Sigrid’s fantastical world draw me in, deeper and deeper.

Loki is creating havoc across the nine worlds.

I love that Sigrid is more warrior than princess. A badass female main character is always at the top of my list of desirable characters, especially when there will be many battles fought. Sigrid would rather everyone learn to work together, but sometimes others refuse. I also love that we have a lesbian heroine and I love an author that is not afraid to share diverse characters.

I love all the creatures.

The nine worlds are in danger and Sigrid has tasked herself with the dangerous journey to the Norns in the hopes of creating a new Eye of Hnitbjorg, thus restoring Vanaheim’s gods given magic.

In Chapter 27, Tiana may have thought she could sneak one by me, but I am on my toes. I love what she did and I read even faster to find out the end result.

Sigrid and the Valkyrie’s series is amazing. Each and every book kept me enthralled, waiting for the next book to be available, having to know the story. I raced through the pages, heart in my throat, a white knuckled grasp on my ereader. I am sad to see the series end, but Tiana Warner wrapped it up in a spectacular fashion.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of The Valkyrie’s Legacy by Tiana Warner.

The storyline for this book gives me a fellowship of the ring and the Two Towers vibe. A band of companions traveling together and being joined by others along the way going to a mountain to recreate their destroyed crystal ball and ending with a monumentus battle with all worlds at the end of it all.

Mariam's protectiveness is so cute and Aesa's filly is just too cute and adorable. I feel the author overdid it with Sigrid's uncertainties, doubts and insecurities. It was just getting tiring and annoying.

All the three books of the Helheim Prophecy were truly a great and wonderful read though regardless of some minor hiccups.

The Valkyrie’s Legacy is the final part in The Helheim Prophecy series by Tiana Warner. I really enjoyed the first books in this trilogy and couldn’t wait to dive into this last part. I looked forward to diving into an epic adventure with Sigrid, but where will the adventure take me?

Tiana Warner’s The Valkyrie’s Legacy is a sweeping, action-packed Norse mythology-inspired fantasy that blends high-stakes battles, emotional depth, and a richly imagined world. This thrilling tale of gods, magic, and courage is a must-read for fans of epic fantasy with strong, complex heroines.

Sigrid is a powerful and deeply compelling protagonist. As the last surviving royal of Vanaheim, her struggle to balance her role as a warrior with the weight of her heritage feels raw and authentic. Her journey is as much about external battles as it is about confronting her own inner darkness, and Warner handles this duality with nuance and care.

The relationships in this book are a highlight, especially the bond between Sigrid and Mariam. Their love is tender and unwavering, providing a much-needed light amid the story’s darker themes. Their dynamic is beautifully written and adds an emotional core that grounds the larger narrative of gods and war.

The world-building is stellar, bringing the nine realms of Norse mythology to life with vivid detail and imagination. From the chaos unleashed by Loki to the eerie darkness of Helheim, Warner creates a richly textured universe that feels both magical and dangerous. Sleipnir, Sigrid’s legendary eight-legged horse, is a standout element, adding a layer of mythological grandeur to the story.

The plot is fast-paced and filled with thrilling twists, but it occasionally feels overwhelming with the sheer scope of the challenges Sigrid faces. Some moments of world-building and character development could have been given more space to breathe, which would have elevated the story further.

Despite this, The Valkyrie’s Legacy is an engrossing read that captures the spirit of Norse mythology while weaving in themes of courage, love, and self-discovery. Tiana Warner has crafted a tale that feels both epic and intimate, leaving readers eager to see what comes next in Sigrid’s journey. A fantastic choice for anyone who loves mythology-inspired fantasy with a strong, determined heroine!

I received the eARC for my honest opinion.

This is the third book of the Valkyries series, and I love that this author keeps making the next book better and better each time. This is the last book of the trilogy, it’s so bittersweet that these amazing women of the Valkyrie have come to an end, but at the same time I love how it was wrapped up.

It’s been a year since the attack from the Night Elves, the Valkyries are no closer to winning this battle, Sigrid knows what she must do. She doesn’t want to have to do it but having to go to the Norns and make a new Eye of Hnitbjorg, but there is one catch she must bring one spirit from the check realm with her. Sigrid, Mariam and their friends go on a journey through the realms knowing their last destination, and that the balance of the nine worlds is all in their hands

I loved the plot and how it came to an end, I found that this trio was wrapped up nicely. I loved the action that happened (and it starts right off the bat), the romance that really got to blossom between Sigrid and Mariam, but it was the character development throughout the trio that really shone a light on these books, you will see some badas$ females being repped, I loved the mythology wrapped throughout this book and I had a fun time seeing the Norse gods come back to life. I found the author's attention to details with the battles, the realms, the people, and everything to have been great. However, for me though it was the character development that really shined.

Sigrid in this book comes back with of course doubt, but when push comes to shovel Sigrid always comes through. I really enjoyed getting to see her growth in this book, she was a stable worker, Princess, and now a warrior. You will see that she will do whatever it takes to help her homeland, she knows that not every choice will be the right one, but she didn’t give up. I loved getting to see how she reacted to seeing each realm and getting to talk to the leaders to show them what they’re all up against, and that would be the menacing god named Loki. I loved getting to see her really open up to Mariam and seeing their moment of happiness was wonderful. You can see the love that Sigrid has for everyone, and understands that we cannot all be the same, but we can all work together when we need to.

If you want a well-built world, great characters, great lore/mythology, with action and romance. You need to read these books.

I want to thank NetGalley and Entangled for the opportunity to review this book.

It's been a year since the Night Elves have attacked Vanaheim and it's clear that Sigrid and her valkyries are losing. With hope failing and more losses happening everyday Sigrid is left with one option, she needs to go to the Norns and get a new Eye of Hnitbjorg. In order to do that she must go before them with a being from every realm. So alongside Mariam and all her friends she sets off on a new quest in which the fate of Vanaheim and balance of the nine worlds is at stake.

It was bittersweet reading this book, knowing it was the end of this series. And having watched Sigrid grow from stablehand to warrior princess was gratifying. If anyone deserves their HEA it is definitely Sigrid and Mariam after the hell Loki put them through. I also enjoyed that this book took us through different realms and we were able to see the other races more. Sigrid’s maturity and plans for reconciliation with the other worlds were probably amongst my favorite scenes of the book. Accepting her role as future Queen whilst also acknowledging wrongs her family had done, it was just so well written. I also enjoyed that this book took us through different realms and we were able to see the other races and realms more. One thing that kind of rubbed me the wrong way was how all the Gods they met said they couldn't interfere but sat back knowing all the shit-stirring Loki was doing. It all worked out in the end but still. All in all I very much enjoyed this book and this series and am sad to see it end.

Never have I ever been the first review on a book, this feels like an honor!

I wanted to read this so bad that I requested a copy from Entangled Teen, and then further down they had already sent me an advance copy. Thank you Entangled for letting me read this, I was so excited to see where the story would go!

This book really picks up where the last left off, and it wraps up everything beautifully in the end. We get more world building, more adventures around the Yggdrasil tree, and a lot of action sequences. Some wrongs from book one have been righted, some relationships get developed, and even some losses occurred.

I loved seeing Sigrid develop throughout this series, I feel so proud of her and how far she has come. She went from a princess to a warrior and stopped at nothing to help her homeland, and made a ton of tough decisions along the way. She recognized the faults of the last few generations, and had a legit plan in place to fix it. Even when she was given the short end of the stick, she still tried to find a way to make peace with others along the tree.

Overall, I really enjoyed this series and I loved diving back in one more time. There is so much mythology throughout these three books, and such a unique take on it as well. Warner packs these books full of action scenes and characters you cannot help but root for, and it is overall just a great trilogy to add to your shelves.

This is the final book in the trilogy and epic conclusion to the Sigrid and the Valkyries series. It picks up from book two where Sigrid, Miriam, Fisk, and what is left of the valkyries in Vanaheim are struggling to defend themselves from the ever increasing attacks of the Night Elves. With Vanaheim's utter destruction inevitable and Yggdrasil in chaos, Sigrid must make the journey through the nine worlds, on her way to Mount Hnitbjorg, to procure souls in an attempt to create a new Eye of Hnitbjorg and try to restore balance back into the worlds that Loki has wrought chaos throughout.

Sigrid is struggling with her new leadership role with the valkyries and as the last remaining royal of Vanaheim. She continues to question her own decisions, but with the help of her friends, she begins to gain more confidence. She has also progressed in her relationship with Miriam, but there is conflict with saying they love each other.

New friendships are made, and new battles are fought as they travel through the different worlds. There is plenty of tragedy, conflict, and action that drives the plot all the way to the ending. I really enjoyed this series and feel the author did this final book justice with the conclusion.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily posting a review. All opinions are my own.
The Sigrid and the Valkyries trilogy (previously called The Helheim Prophecy) comes to an epic finale with The Valkyrie’s Legacy. It’s great to see not just how the characters have grown, but how the overarching plot elements have paid off over the course of the trilogy. The way it pays homage to Norse mythology also continues to be a highlight, especially with the prominence of Loki in this installment in particular.
Sigrid’s character arc has always been a draw for me with this series, as she’s really come into her own as a warrior and sacrificed a lot to protect her homeland, while also trying to work to rectify the mistakes of the past generations and make peace with her country’s enemies.
The romance with Mariam has also been a consistent highlight. While not the central focus, especially this time around, the slow burning chemistry plus the stakes they’re up against make them easy to root for.
This is a solid conclusion to a great trilogy, and I’d recommend it to readers looking for YA fantasy that takes inspiration from Norse mythology.

I have enjoyed this series so much, and this felt like such a perfect ending. It starts off right where the previous novel left off, keeping the story moving. Sigrid is back to working toward setting the chaos that has broken out between the worlds. This time she must assemble a group that has one person from each of the nine realms to show the realms have united against Loki. I really enjoyed seeing Sigrid’s old friends again, and the new friends that she picked up along the way in this story were just as likeable and compelling as the ones that we’ve known for the past 2 books. I think the way the story wrapped up was a great way to bring all the threads of the story together without leaving any lingering questions. The series was such a great read, I’ve always been a huge fan of Norse mythology and I think this series really presented the mythology in a way that made it understandable for those who aren’t familiar with it, and wasn’t boring for those who were. I would absolutely read more books set in this world, it was such a cleverly crafted well-built world that really absorbed the reader.

ARC review from Netgallery

💙 The Valkyrie's legacy by Tiana Warner💙

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.5/5)

Publication date: 27th of January 2025

The novel The Valkyrie's legacy is the third book in the series, which combines a captivating blend of magic, romance, and self-discovery.

The story continues to follow Sigrid, who must navigate the complex world of gods, monsters, and destiny. Warner does a fantastic job of weaving together rich world building with relatable character struggles, creating a world that's as enchanting as it is dangerous.
One of the standout elements of the book is the strong character development of the protagonist as the series progresses. Sigrid is both relatable and strong, with an inner conflict that drives the plot forward and keeps readers invested.

While I thoroughly enjoyed how this novel was written, I found the pacing in some parts a bit slow as with most books. However, it does pick right back up. Despite this, the story is engaging and filled with twists that will keep you hooked until the last page.

I recommend this book 1000% as it's such a unique and interesting story that will keep you on the edge of your seat

Like the first two books in this trilogy, this is a novel based on Norse mythology, centered on Sigrid, the heir of Sleipner, who is attempting to unite the 9 worlds that exist on Yggdrasil, the world tree, to stop Loki's current attempt to add yet more chaos to the universe. This is an epic type story, with a heroine and a quest, that travels across the 9 worlds as Sigrid seeks support in the battle against Loki, and at least one soul from every world, so she can petition the Norns to recreate the Eye of Hnitbjorg, lost in a previous volume.

There's a lot going on in this novel: heroism, a quest, a wonderful romance between Sigrid and Mariam, and all of it contained in a fast-paced novel. Like many sequels, it suffers a bit from following the same basic plotline as the previous volumes, but it's different enough from the other two that it's well worth reading - and anyone who has read the previous volumes will enjoy seeing this next step in Sigrid's adventure.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a wonderful way to bring the three books in this series together and to a resounding successful conclusion. I could not put this book down and quickly read it in a few hours. Each step of the journey Sigrid, Marium, and the others take on their quest was filled with danger, comradery, choice, and uncertainty.
I cheered on Sigrid as she made difficult choices that would lead to her fulfilling her destiny. I cried a little as she struggles and loses things she didn't even know she held dear. I love the slow burn of Sigrid and Marium's relationship. The cast of side characters, including the animals, lends a lot to the story and the way the mythology is woven into each part is done very well.

If you want a young adult fantasy that has a touch of romance, a whole lot of coming of age and finding where the characters truly belong then go out and get Tiana Warner's Sigrid and the Valkyries books!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an eARC of this work in exchange for my honest review.

It is a strong ending to the Sigrid and the Valkyries trilogy. The tension starts on page one and doesn't let up. Warner packs in a lot of action and still manages to wrap it up completely in a satisfying way.
Sigrid, Mariam, and the gang didn't get much of a rest from Bk. 2 and things with the Night Elves are Bad. The prissy Valkyries are still mean to Sigrid and Mariam's parents too. Luckily, Mariam is trying to work through her issues, and the two share a few sweet moments as a couple. We already know a slew of interesting characters of various fantasy races and we get to meet more. The world-building is as fascinating as ever and we get to see a couple of new worlds This is a double-edged sword. Wagner paints an exquisite backdrop for these amazing characters, but you want to know more. With new characters added, we lose time with old favorites, such as Fisk. There's quantity and quality, but we're missing more depth.
If you like Books One or Two (or both), you should be happy with this wrap-up. I'm sorry to see them go.

Norse fantasy: quest, battle, balance
The big finale of the trilogy starts in Sigrid‘s home Vanaheim where the ongoing war between the valkyries and the dark elves looks dire and bleak. The fights, the despair, the loss of life are devastating. The only light: Mariam‘s winged mare gives birth to a cute foal. The only hope: a quest to the Norns.
Sigrid, the heir of Odin‘s steed Sleipnir, leads once again her motley crew of outcasts on a dangerous journey from Hell to Fire and Ice. To do battle with Loki, the God of mischief, and his mighty army.
Tiana Warner again breathes life into this Norse fantasy setting: the world-building is superb, the battle descriptions are fierce and grim, the story is at times breathtaking, never a dull moment. I loved all those detailed descriptions of landscape, the different worlds, the people, the horses. The message is clear among all the mayhem and evil there is always hope, a choice for good and a place for love. What a grand finale!

I received an ARC via netgalley. The review is left voluntarily.

This series was such a new experience for me and I’m not mad about it. I’ll definitely be seeking out more Asgardian fantasy books, especially because I just love how different the lore is when adding in Thor, Loki, Odin and their stories because I feel like they are the most unique in terms of European fantasies.

Sigrid’s journey, while a bit repetitive across the series, felt empowering, but i love the focus on learning how to balance both the darkness and the light within society and yourself. It’s an important message that all people need to learn, but it’s great for kids who are worried about their internal darkness, to see a character learn how to grow and understand every part of her.

The romance between Mariam and Sigrid is just so sweet! It’s definitely more emotional and complex this book and I love to see the growth as Sigrid learns how to balance her love for Mariam and her country’s needs at the same time!

Overall this series was so good and it was so entertaining that I’ll definitely continue to read more books by this author!

An epic conclusion to what is an YA fantasy epic. The gods come even more into play in this one, as Loki's schemes come to fruition, and things are tough for Sigrid and her companions. A journey to gather a soul from each of the realms, in order to restore the eye, but of course, nothing is going to go to plan (even before they start on the quest). I was happy to see more development of Miriam and Sigrid's relationship, and we got additional details on a number of other characters as well, as well as finally exploring more of the realms. Lots of battles, stress, some tender moments, and a conclusion that was worthy of the series. All up, a well done and easy to recommend YA series, and as I said in my first review, full of the expected tropes (enemies to lovers, chosen one, save the world, found family etc). Which, honestly, for this type of story, is a good thing.

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. This book is a great conclusion to the series. Sigrid’s character development through the course of the trilogy is so well done. For fans of destiny, found family with a twist, and the true inner workings of relationships and how to navigate them both romantically as well as platonically. Fisk is my favorite character by far lol. I think this is a triumph as a YA novel and conclusion to this compelling trilogy of destiny, Norse mythology, and overcoming prejudices in all forms. There are themes that feel repetitive across the trilogy but overall it’s a great story with a great storyline. If you are a fan of Norse mythology this books is for you.

This is a powerful conclusion to "The Valkyries" trilogy. Sigrid’s journey from stable worker to warrior princess peaks as she fights to save the nine worlds from chaos. With Mariam by her side, she must restore Vanaheim’s magic, unite the realms, and face her darkest fears. The action is intense, the romance is beautifully developed, and the Norse mythology adds rich depth. I loved seeing Sigrid’s growth; her courage, doubt, and determination make her an unforgettable heroine. The world-building is immersive, and the ending ties everything together perfectly. A must-read for fans of mythology, strong female leads, and epic adventure!

“The Valkyrie’s Legacy” was a fitting conclusion to the series. I liked that Sigrid and her friends had to journey to the other worlds to recruit allies; a task that fared better in some worlds than others. The final battle against Loki was well-crafted; I enjoyed how he was finally defeated. An important aspect of the story is Sigrid eventually recognizing that both good and evil are necessary in the world to maintain balance, and that just because there is evil in her, it doesn’t have to control her or define her. She can choose to pursue a path of goodness and peace (which does mean she will always succeed).

I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Tiana Warner, but Sigrid and her merry band of misfits hold a special place in my heart. There are so many wonderful things about The Helheim Prophecy series from the incredible world building, the fierce battles, the humor, and the romance, every bit of it made for such an amazing trilogy, I’m sad it is over. By far what will stick with me the most are the characters. I grew to really love all of them, human and animal alike. I have a feeling this will be one of the few series I can’t let go of, so I’ll be forced to re-read it several times over just to experience it all again.

Thank you Entangled for this eARC!

What a great way to wrap up this series. While book 3 was a little repetitive with plot at times, it was action packed and there was no rest on the third leg of this adventure. I have loved this series and it is great for anyone who is looking for a true YA trilogy.

I will say the romance did come a bit more to the forefront in this one, but it didn’t take away from the plot. It was great to see the characters come into their own while figuring out their problems. It has been a journey with these characters and Tiana Warner did not disappoint at all. Highly recommend if you are looking for an action-packed norse mythology based story!

This was such a great end to the trilogy. Sigrid is continuing her search to unite the nine realms and face Loki in order to establish peace once again. But of course, Loki is...well, Loki, and pure chaos ensues. Dealing with the mischief of the trickster god himself doesn't prove simple at all for Sigrid and her people.

Of course, uniting people against Loki isn't simple, either. But Sigrid has people in her corner and is able to find allies in unlikely places. This one was fast paced and had a lot of closure to cover for our characters.

an interesting conclusion for a trilogy

Okay, this was a fascinating look into the idea of evil within a person, while also being a story of gods, war, and a quest to save the worlds from the chaos.

Very interesting conclusion with Sigrid and Mariam as they face Night Elves, Fire and Ice giants, and traveling through the worlds to make a new Eye after the loss of the original. Now they have to face more than just destruction of Vanaheim.

Recommend for the Nordic mythos lovers.

A nice end to a very enjoyable series! I liked the growth of Sigrid from the beginning to the end of the series, the development of Sigrid, her relationship with Mariam, and the bonds of friendship that she shared with many characters in the book. Sigrid learns to accept the responsibilities of her royal position and really grows into a responsible leader.
All in all, a very good book and series! Happy reading!

Wow! I absolutely loved this trilogy. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.

This is the most dangerous and very hard mission that Sigrid had to take. It feels nearly impossible, but she’s determined as always. I was very pleased with this trilogy. I couldn’t put it down.

Overall I loved this trilogy very much. If you’re looking for a FF, YA, sapphic fantasy then you’re going to love it.

**The Valkyrie’s Legacy** is an action-packed, emotional finale to Sigrid’s journey. With high stakes, rich Norse mythology, and a compelling sapphic romance, it delivers epic battles and deep character growth. Sigrid’s struggle with darkness adds depth, making this a satisfying, bittersweet conclusion to the trilogy. A must-read for fantasy lovers!

Loved the journey in this final book! Like in the other books, sometimes I just wanted to shake the MC as she would get stuck on certain things or be a little naive, but overall it worked well and always had meaning behind it, giving the reader a lesson etc. Very YA friendly but this one had a lot more action and some scary emotional bits towards the end that I was not ready for!
