When she was just sixteen, Chrissy Anderson made a life list…
…It’s been long forgotten and replaced by one filled with hope. But with all of Chrissy’s lies, a lover she’s horribly betrayed, and an ex-husband with secrets of his own; it might be too late to rely on her new list for happiness. In fact, it might be too late for Chrissy to ever have the truly, madly, deeply love she has always craved. Follow Chrissy as she hits rock bottom, dusts herself off, and fights harder than ever to finally have her wedding cake and eat it too.
In book THREE of The List Trilogy, Chrissy Anderson is confronted with her worst fears; a fatherless child, the pointless “death” of another friend, and a bump in the road at her beloved business that could destroy all of her hard work. Unlike Chrissy’s challenges in the past, there’s no longer a choice between love and obligation. It’s too late for that. In The Hope List, the only thing that can put Chrissy on the right path is honesty.
Everyone makes mistakes, but all will pause as they follow along on Chrissy Anderson’s new journey to ask, “Is she worthy of forgiveness?”
The Hope List picks up where book TWO, The Unexpected List left us hanging on the edge of our seats. The long-awaited conclusion finally reveals the outcome of a married woman’s chance encounter with her soul mate that took place many years ago in book ONE of Anderson’s romantic saga, The Life List.
CHRISSY ANDERSON spends her life doing exactly what she always wanted: doting on those she loves. A former fashion executive, she is a writer, wife, and mother whose own life events inspired The Life List. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with the love of her life and her beautiful daughter.
Who is Chrissy? Does it even matter really? I guess it would matter to the real Chrissy if she wrote The Life List for fortune and fame. But she didn’t. She did it all for you. Hold on, scratch that. Of course there were some self-indulgent components to the whole shootin’ match, but at the end of the day, she sees bits and pieces of her checkered past in almost every woman she encounters and she wants to help them, tell them they’re NOT crazy.
Women of all kinds- twenty-somethings, housewives and superwomen wanna-bes- will all be able to relate to the same pressures Chrissy felt of constructing the ideal life, only to fall short. And I suspect there will be a lot of exhaling going on as those women read The Life List. I certainly don’t expect everyone to agree with Chrissy Anderson’s decisions, but all will pause as they follow along on her journey to ask, “What would I do if I were her?”
I waited months for it, and it was worth every second. I do wish I hadn't started it late at night, and that I hadn't cried quite so hard, because, well, it's embarrassing. Thank you for sharing your story.
I'm not even sure if I can put into words how happy I was to see this book listed live on Amazon. I first came across this series as a suggestion from a book friend. I threw caution to the wind and said why not and let me tell you this has been one of my favorite series by far. After reading The Unexpected List and having a serious ugly cry I couldn't wait to get my hands on The Hope List I just had to know how it all ended what felt like years on top of years I finally got my hands on it and let me tell you I was just fabulous.
The Hope List starts off with Chrissy and her family in 2013 getting ready for her anniversary and you know without a doubt that she is beyond happy but you still don't know which man was the one to win her heart. As Chrissy is reflecting on how she could have lost it all that is when we as a reader to get read what all took place in 2003 and it picks up right where Unexpected List leaves off. I was on the edge of my seat at times because I just had to know how it all was going to go down. And that damn Chrissy made me want to just shake her and tell her shut up and listen for once. But sadly she couldn't hear me there for she kept frustrating me. There are no lose ends left with The Hope List I didn't ugly cry like I did in Unexpected List (and I ugly cried) but I did feel sad when it came down to Kurt. The moments that Chrissy and Kurt share became my favorites parts to read. Now I'm not saying what she and Leo share or shared isn't beautiful it just different with Kurt. This was someone that she once shared a life with and they had been through so much. It was just beyond wonderful to get read their moments together.
This is a series that I would without a doubt recommend. There is not one person in this series that doesn't have a flaw and I for one love to read about the characters that have flaws. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from Chrissy Anderson. And I couldn't help but wonder once I got to the last chapter would history repeat itself.
This conclusion to Chrissy's story was beautiful and funny, maybe somewhat unexpected and then again somewhat hopefully expected too. I really loved this trilogy. It was more real than most stories out there (maybe because it was part true story). Throughout the trilogy, I was yelling at Chrissy to stop Fucking things up, but know that I've made similar mistakes through my path.
you absolutely cannot go wrong with this series. wonderfully developed and fully rounded characters, real life and love issues, and you will see a little of yourself in one of her characters, guaranteed! Chrissy does not skimp on details and you will be so satisfied with this read! Definitely one of those books that you are sad to see end. Don't miss out on this series!
I absolutely loved this trilogy! I have laughed and cried throughout the trilogy but have to say it was worth it. It is not often you find an author who writes real life issues that other can relate to. A must read!
For once you discover your worth you will never settle for less then you deserve. Chrissy just released this amazing 3rd book in her series and I was one of many you instantly picked it up to quickly devour. The Hope List is the perfect compliment to book one and book two. It is the story all the things that can go wrong before they begin to go right. It's not always a pretty story, but it's raw and it's real which makes it worth so much more then I can describe.
In the Hope List, Chrissy bounces between the very late stages of her pregnancy and to 10 years later and how everything comes full circle in her life. As always she is brutally honest in her take on life and all of those that she allows into it and how she creates her second family (extended included).
What I think I love most about all three of these books is the amazing growth you see from the very beginning to the end, it is so very easy to relate and honestly helps me create a few of my own ah-ha moments.
I love love loved this book! I look forward to see what Chrissy Anderson creates next!
This book & the whole series for that matter is PERFECTION. Chrissy is hilariously funny, but in the same manner she is serious and very likable as her life takes her on paths that she never thought she would be one.
You will laugh and the next moment you will be crying your eyes out. Chrissy gave me everything I wanted and more, now I just have to go mourn that this series is over and anxiously await her next release.
Waited forever to the conclusion of Chrissy's story and it was worth the wait. I read several books a week and they all start to run together honestly. I will never ever forget Chrissy's story and I want to be her best friend! I refuse to provide any details about this story but I can guarantee that every single woman who reads it will relate in one way or another. Go click this bitch ladies... You won't be sorry.
The Hope List did not disappoint! I have loved Chrissy's story from page one of The Life List. I've enjoyed watching Chrissy grow throughout the years.... Her story has made me laugh out loud, cringe and cry a few tears (out of happiness and sorrow). If your looking for a weekend read this is the perfect book... Just know it will draw you in and you won't want to put it down.
I was so excited to finally get the end of Chrissy's trilogy. I said from the very first book that I too was in a lot of the situations that Chrissy found herself in. I'm just thrilled that she got her HEA, and without any spoilers I was VERY excited who she got to spend that HEA with. love ya Chrissy!!
I waited all most a year for it,( read the first two books last May) and it was worth every second. Amazing end to a beautiful trilogy. I laughed and cried throughout this series. If I could give this trilogy more than 5 stars I would. I'm so sad that this is the last book of the List Trilogy. It is a must read trilogy. One of my top five favorites out there.
I LOVED this series!!! So real and refreshing and relatable! Chrissy's story is emotional and heartbreaking at times but she figures it all out in the end with some reflection and clarity. I can't recommend this series enough.
This was the perfect conclusion. I loved every minute of this book/series. I highly recommend it. It is an inspiration and very relatable! I will forever remember this series and often revisit it. It is a true gem!
I cannot write enough positive points about this book. What's beautiful is that over the course of three books, there is a maturity in the writing that's true to the growth of the character. Not to be cliché, but I laughed, I cried, and I most definitely loved!
I really enjoyed the third installment to the trilogy - I waited with bated breath for it to arrive, and the story did not disappoint. What did was the amount of typos, which is something I found to be the case with her 2 early books as well. It detracted from the enjoyment of the story. Since I know Chrissy usually reads these reviews and had asked me to detail errors in her earlier books, I kept track of where they were in this book. They are small; "of" instead of "off", "tapper" instead of "taper", etc. So Chrissy, if you are reading (and I hope you do!) - I love your story, I'm glad you are happy in life, and I can't wait to read the next book you write. I know you were rushing to get it out to all of us who were waiting so expectantly. I'm happy to read an advance copy and help with the editing!! But here are the "locations" where there are typos - I read this on Kindle and it did not have page numbers. Location numbers: 2134, 2151, 2338, 2820, 3697, 3986, 4085.
Oh Molly-God, I made it through the Life List reading marathon, and I'm so glad I did. First, Chrissy the author kicked some serious butt with this entire series, and Chrissy the heroine finally redeemed herself with me. I've had a love/hate relationship (well mostly hate) with her behavior throughout the series; but in this final installment, the truth set her free and I was proud and happy for her growth. We did however stay on that crazy rollercoaster for the first half of the read, and Chrissy the author was clever in how she set the scene, keeping the reader enough in the dark, that you weren't quite sure how it was all going to play out. In the end, I was extremely satisfied with how Chrissy's life and family came together. What an amazing journey and what an eye opening and enjoyable series. Thanks Chrissy for sharing your story with us.
So i don't even know where to begin with this book. First i want to say i absolutely loved it. I could not wait for this book to come out. It turned into a beautiful, wonderful, comical, and emotional book. The way it starts with Chrissy talking about her husband and kids you get to see how happy they are as a family. But she doesn't tell you who the husband is. It starts back right where the second book ended. right back in the yoga studio with Kurt and Leo there. The things that happen in this book once everything is exposed is wonderful. Its the real truly, madly, deeply that everyone dreams about. It was the perfect way to end this trilogy. It amazing and wonderful. I am so happy that i got to experience this series.
Wow. The progress we see in this book versus the last two books in amazing. I expecting another storm of bad mistakes and poor life choices but this book was my favorite out of the three. We jump back into Chrissy's life basically where we left off at in the second book. A refreshing read and so nice to see that Chrissy's life is actually normal for the first time in her life. I'm so glad that Chrissy chose the book to go into this direction. If you've read the first two books you need to read this one to finally get some closure. A lot of questions are answered and the puzzle is all put together.
I didn't realize this book had been released and was psyched to find it since I thoroughly enjoyed books 1 and 2. It was great to get closure on this story, since the author left us hanging at the end of book 2. As with the first two books, I love Chrissy Anderson's humor and wit - love the way she narrates the story. I liked this book a tiny bit less than the other two and would actually give it 4.5 stars if I could; it seemed like the story started winding down too soon before the end of the book. But all in all, I would absolutely recommend this trilogy, especially since you can now devour all three books, one after the other.
Omg..I'm so excited that I have finally been able to read this book!! I have been waiting for a while to get my hands on it, and dive right in! I loved book 1 and 2 from this trilogy and Book 3 did not disappoint! I cried while reading this story just like I have while reading the previous stories! I loved it! I seriously forgot how funny the dialogue is!! I still love all characters, and lived the nick names for everyone! Leo still has, and will continue to have, my heart! I highly recommend this trilogy to everyone! Such an amazing story!
What do I think? Amazing..I laughed..louder, cried...harder. This story will wake all you emotions.."all truly, madly, deeply". Chrissy Anderson, Thank you so much so for a wonderful, heartfelt story, I can not express how deeply it moved me... This book has a message for everyone who reads it...Im so happy you found your grain of sand. Can I say "FOC" (fan of Chrissy), yes I can...
This was a truly amazing ending to a wonderful series. As Barnana, or was it Dr. Maria?, said... just about anyone can relate to some aspect of Chrissy's story. Anyways...she was right. It's refreshing to read things like this and know that through such tragedy and heartache, people can come out on the other side.
