Oakley is co owner of the bookstore. She is taken with a man who reads romance. Maybe just maybe he can help change her mind about happilyever afters.
Byron is a colleague of Liam’s at Blackhawk. He reads romance trying to figure out if happilyever afters are real. He also rides a bike.
Byron worked with the Blackhawk brothers in the military. He is happy to get a position with them. He is trying to recover from the betrayal of his ex wife. He's kept himself to himself. His preferred relaxation is reading. He avoids any relationships until his friend, Liam and his fiancee sets him up with a blind date with Oakley. He agrees to one. To both their surprise, they seem to bond over the fact that they were both in the foster system. It seems the two are drawn to each other but Byron has a past that has his head a tad screwed up. Can he get past that to go for happiness?
Another lovely story in this series.

Sparking off the pages fun
Byron is the second book in the Blackhawk Security series. After reading the first book, Liam, I dove into this book and was not disappointed at all. The story is about Oakley and Byron. She is co-owner of the local bookstore with Sierra and they have worked hard to make it successful. He has gotten out of the Army and is now part of the Blackhawk Security company. Byron is closed off after being scarred emotionally from growing up in foster care and then also a betrayal by his ex. Oakley is a sweetheart where Byron is hard edges...but boy is that man "sex on a stick" licking good. Together they find a way to come together, with a lot of naughty sparks flying off the pages.

Byron and Oakley share similar upbringings coming from the foster system including abandonment issues. When they are set up on a date sparks ignite leading to new possibilities for the two. Can two broken individuals with abandonment issues mend their broken hearts and get their second chance for happiness. This heartfelt story is well written with inspiring characters that draws you in and had me connecting with them.

couldn't ask for a better romance book to read than this one right here by Kaci. Byron and Oakley are two characters that deserve not only happiness but second chances in love and this book delivers just that. So, get this entertaining romance book into your kindle right this very minute and let the storyline tug at your heartstrings and the romance make you smile. It's a 5-star read.

Great short steamy read. Oakley and Byron are both facing demons in their past. Together they find that love truly conquers all.
