So we continues Ada's story here in this book. So we know that Huxley and Noah want a relationship with Ada. Here is the thing though, Ada has an issue with Noah's age. I mean really you are in school Ada and not only that but you should know by now things are different for shifters. She is slowly coming around. Then there is Hux who has been in love with her since he was a freshman. Also Hux runs in a different pack. So this is a bit tricky. Then we have Saint who is fighting this pull to her with everything he has. Then we find out that he is hiding something. Now this brings up a lot of questions. I mean my brain was firing off questions left in right and we don't get much from that info. Ada is a curious girl. When she learns something new she wants to asks questions and when she is nervous, she just spouts random things. It is quite endearing. Everything seems to be going good and then everything hits the fan. So what happens? You need to check it out to see how it all falls apart. The way it ended had me shocked. I should have seen it coming but I did not. Now we have to wait to see what will happen next.

(hoopla) Wow, these guys. How frustrating for Ada! Ada is definitely ADHD and I kind of love it. She's completely ridiculous. And probably too good for all these silly boys! On to book 3.

It continues Ada's story and how her relationship with Noah, Huxley and Saint is progressing. Saint is still an ass, while Huxley has finally got the courage to speak with her and Noah is making Ada's change her mind about their 2-year age difference. It still narrated at the same time as Lexi's story, so many events overlap.

I absolutely loved this book! The characters are so well-written and relatable, and the plot had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I couldn't get enough of Lexi and her guys, and I'm so glad they were included in Ada's story. The emotions were so raw and real, from feeling bad for Noah to wanting to slap Saint silly for hurting Ada. And don't even get me started on Zayn - I can't wait to find out more about him in the next book! This is a must-read for anyone who loves romance, drama, and sizzling chemistry. Thank you for creating such an amazing story that kept me hooked until the very end!

Loved it so much but it was definitely too short. Also who the heck is Zayn? I need to know this! Did I miss something or was he really just introduced at the end and not any place else. Also Saint is an ass. I feel so bad for Noah but I did have to go back to the third book in Lexi’s story because from Ada’s point of view it sounded really bad but I remembered he felt bad I just couldn’t remember from where. Poor guy was upset because he didn’t realize that girl was flirting with him and what Ada saw was a complete misunderstanding. Kind of wondering why Lexi wasn’t a better friend to Ada and told her what happened instead of letting her feel like shit about it considering she knew both sides. Sometimes I do wish Ada and Lexi would talk more cause Lexi doesn’t even have a clue what really happened with Ada and Saint at the wedding.

I think this is a bit immature for me. This is a lot like book one where Ada is concerned. There is no conflict in this one. This whole book is "high school drama". It's terribly boring. " I like Noah, but he's so young"/ "I like His, but does he like me?" "I have had a huge crush on Saint forever, but I know he'll only break my heart." 😵 This whole book was about who likes Ada and who Ada likes and how Saint is! Utterly ridiculous and boring.
As usual, I'd suggest you read this and form your own opinion.

1 star because I could GAF about Lexi. Again. I was here for Ada, the FMC narrator.
5 Stars for Ada.
3 stars in total.

Not a true first in the series. This is a spin-off of the New Moon series to where it is beyond confusing to listen to the Full Moon series. I was so confused to where I had to check reviews to find out what I was missing, only to discover it was a must to read an entire trilogy beforehand.

I attempted to listen to Twice Bitten several times over in the past, finding the female narrator completely un-listen-able. This OTT seductive ridiculousness, breathy with vocal fry. One of the worst narrators I've encountered to where it was impossible to listen to one short novel let alone the entire trilogy... not that it mattered any.

The female narrator for this novel (and series) is pretty good. Just a few issues here or there, but I appreciate how she sounds close to the age of the character. The male narrator is amazing, to the point I'm going to go check out other novels he narrates. So I could not listen to the New Moon trilogy, but I am breezing my way through the Full Moon series due to the narrators. Had I read these novels, it would have been in reverse. Below I explain why...

There is something addictive to Ada's story, but the biggest issue is how it is truly just a rehash of Lexi's trilogy, to the point that Ada just takes a backseat even when she is narrating. This is basically a retelling of Lexi's story from Ada's POV. It's not about Ada or her mates. It's the same scenes from the first trilogy retold by Ada and her mates but still with Lexi, her mates, and the events that happen the total focal point. This is one of the worst retellings, since it is not fresh info, nor is it info from a differing perspective. It's a rehash, a retelling, as if everything that happened to Lexi was so fascinating that another 4 or 5 narrators just have to regurgitate it.

I am listening for the tiny seeds of what is truly happening to Ada and her mates.

If I were reading these trilogies versus listening, I believe Lexi's trilogy would have been the one to read, as it would have been a comprehensive showing of events by the person they were truly happening to. Whereas this is just a retelling of events from the POV of the person it is NOT happening to. What little crumbs we are given for Ada and her mates is overpowered by the chaotic nuggets barely puzzle-pieced together into a readable (listen-able) story. Even if I had read/listened to Lexi's story, the way this info is delivered would still be incomprehensible.

If I wasn't invested, if I didn't enjoy the narrators, I would 1 star all three novels in this trilogy.

Now that I know the events, I'll give it one more try on the original trilogy, listening at a faster speed and hoping the narrator burns herself out and begins to speak more normally, losing that ridiculous inflection that is at odds with the darker content, instead of some golden age Hollywood siren trying to seduce me in a black and white movie.

I had a few good chuckles of actual quotes, lines, and plot points "borrowed" from popular YA movies and books. I was waiting for a "Hang on, Spider Monkey" to drop. "Guess the wolf is out of the bag" makes an appearance, and I burst out laughing in the middle of the night while listening to the series.

I thought book 2 in this spinoff series was an improvement to book 1, we got more POVs and new material compared to book 1. I love these characters, the families this author has created, I just wish there wasn’t so much repetitive material in this series. I fell for Ada, Hux, and Noah and feel so bad for Saint despite what he keeps doing. The other side characters really make this shared world so spectacular. The different friends, family, loved ones. So good!

I liked seeing Ada come out of her shell and see her perspective. The word vomit and being so nervous reminded me of when I was in high school/beginning of college. I don’t usually read a ton of YA but this was adorable and I enjoyed it. I thought how Hux and Ada tiptoeing around each other, getting so nervous with each other was endearing. I am glad things finally happened though haha because they needed some encouragement! I felt bad for the situations Noah kept getting put into, I hope he steps up more in book 3 depending on how Ada and him handle the ending of this book.

Narration was good from these two, the confusion and heartache was palpable by them both, they brought these characters to life well and helped really stick the moments in my mind and made me instantly start book 3 haha.

Overall this one is more than 4 stars but because of how the author navigated this storyline (with mirroring and repeating a lot of things from the original series) I couldnt give it a 5 stars (it doesnt have a new storyline really but this one at least had more details and perspectives than book 1 so it felt more separation if that makes sense).

I enjoyed the book but I felt it was way too short. A lot of what we saw in this book is a bit of repeat of what we see in book 3 of Lexi’s story. Maybe that is what made the story seem shorter because it felt like there wasn’t enough new content. However it was really nice to see Ada/Huxley/Noah/Saint’s perspectives on those events and scenes. I am definitely eager for book3 (is it September yet?) and what will probably be all new content and storyline!

Noah was friggin’ adorable! I love him and I really hope we see how everything gets sorted out between him and Ada because they are just too cute! So excited to see Ada and Hux finally moving forward in their relationship. Saint…oh, Saint. I get he got scared after talking to Ada at the wedding but really? Really? That is what he decides to do!!! Like they had such a steamy and amazing moment and then he does that! I’m really going to need him to learn to communicate and also I wonder what the result was and if he ever did speak with Alaric.

Ok that ending! Can we talk about that ending! Total cliffhanger! I need answers now! If the character is who I think he is, I am really interested in finding out more and where they’ve been.

Looking forward to book 3!

This book continues Ada’s story as she begins to learn more about the world she is in/is surrounding her. We start off where book 1 ended, and it’s Ada and the boys’ point of views of the events from the New Moon series.

Like I said with book 1, you really need to read the New Moon series before you begin this series. It could be read as a stand-alone but a majority of this series (so far) is basically a recap of that series, told from Ada’s perspective. There isn’t a lot of in-depth explanations etc, just references and characters from the New Moon series.

I like Ada’s character, she is sweet, nervous and is trying her best to understand everything around her. Her boys range from sweet to less sweet, and they all interact with her, and each other, differently. It’s not insta-love and happily ever after, this is a very slow burn with a lot of what if’s, miscommunication, differences in personalities and an interesting surprise at the end. That last sentence left the perfect amount of excitement for book 3.

This book was short but a lot happened, even if a majority was kind of like a recap of the previous series. This has less action and mystery, it’s more about the romance with some behind-the-scenes point of views. Definite must read if you enjoyed the New Moon series.

I breezed through reading this book in one night so it was either a shorter read or its that i couldnt put it down? For me i think it was the latter

I genuinely felt sorry for Ada for the majority of this book. It seemed as if none of her guys could step up and claim her. Well except Huxley who was my favourite from the first book but i get things are more difficult for him being from another pack. Noah i just wanted to hug. Yes he was younger than Ada and hes a bit naive at times which was endearing but i really wanted him to step up. Im hoping that things work out for him though. As for Saint well hes more complicated. I dont like this will he, wont he game hes playing with Ada but i get why hes like how he is. I just hope we see a different side to him in the next book

It was a great ending and im dying to see what is going to happen next? Im loving this series as much as i loved Lexi's series too

Torn Mate is book two in the series Belle Harper. This one is a very emotional ride- a rollercoaster. So Ada is amazing she’s sweet - kinda nerdy- shy and it fits I really enjoy her character. Now there’s Noah- yes he’s in the younger side but that doesn’t change that he’s really sweet, good hearted and cute as hell. Huxley- he’s a little unsure of himself which is adorable- he’s a really good guy has some baggage but who doesn’t. Anywho, he’s from another pack so obstacles. Now Saint, well he’s the bad boy- but this hides his demons- there’s a secret he’s keeping and this makes things for him hard. He truly believes he’s unworthy- fool. He’s sexy as hell- and he’s only trying to protect- but he’s messing that up.
Ok now that I’ve explained some things know that - Noah and Saint messed up big time- poor guys. But Ada has a really big heart so there’s hope. Only things are going to get interesting there’s a new guy in town.
Enjoy!!

Poor Ada

Enjoyed the book poor Ada is so torn with what to do and how to act around these shifters. I will say that this book does feature characters with a younger mindset, so if that's not your jam might want to pass. I haven't read anything close to YA in quite a while so I found it refreshing to be inside the head of a 16yr old.

Cna we talk about Noah and Hux they are so freaking cute and I think they go great with Ada and all her rambling. Poor poor Saint....they guy obviously has some issues he has to workout and let's just say he may be fumbling the ball a bit.

I'm excited to see Ada and the guys relationship continue to grow. I'll definitely be looking for the next book

This was a much better 2nd book.
I found the writing of this one to be slightly less immature, although I didn’t notice multiple error and inconsistencies. I enjoyed the storyline of this book a lot more than the first one, and felt the plot jumped around a lot less - however my big criticism would be that a lot of things get brought up out of the blue without much lead up or context. Suddenly, we will be doing something or something will be happening and filling in the reader feels like an afterthought, rather than the whole point. I’m not sure if this was the authors intention when she wrote this, to be a very heavily POV book, but that’s definitely how it reads.

On the fence

I'm on the fence about this story. There was parts of it that I really liked. Ada was one thing but sometimes her innocence, excitement was a little too much. I loved Huxley but Noah was a little too naive sometimes especially since he was fifteen and turned sixteen. Saint was too wishy washy. He said one thing and did another. Something else that bothered me was the bits and pieces shared about Lexie's story that only left you confused. I will continue to see where the story goes and I'm also curious about Zayne.

This is the second in the series, and as such, it feels like it doesn't really go anywhere. All three of the books in this series could have been condensed into one decent novel instead of three separate books that don't really have an ending until the last book.
It was a fine story for what it is and yes I still read the third book to finally get closure on these characters but the only ones I'm left feeling anything for are Noah and Saint. The rest, including Ada are just one dimensional boring characters with little to no story arc.

Ada's story continues with plenty of twists (especially that ending!), emotions, a bit of angst and friendship. The storytelling is entertaining and is vivid. This does run parallel to Lexi's story with events from her book 3; and this is where reading Lexi's story first would be beneficial but is not necessary. This is very entertaining and has me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book.

A little confusing...

I'm happy top finally know Saints story though he said he was going to tell the alpha. I guess he didnt....
Galen was my favorite character of this story!
What happened to Noah going to prom? What's River's issue...
It was ,entitled that Callum is a Bardoul but I thought he was exiled???
There were a lot of inconsistencies someI could not make out.
I'm hoping the third book will explain?!.

Holy Wolf hotties, that ending

So this book gave me slot of feels. I'm so mad at Saint and disappointed with Noah. But oh so in love with His. But who's Zayn?! I love Ada so much and am digging seeing her come into her own self. She's beautiful inside and out, and I can't wait til she gets her wolves!!

I enjoyed this book from the moment that I started reading it. IT moves along at a great pace making for an easy read. The characters are awesome and you will fall in love with them and you want to know more about them. The story will grab you and keep you reading till the end and then you are needing more. This book needs to be on your TBR list no doubt about it.

Full moon 2

Ada is back, Saint is still a major jerk in pain. Huxley is coming out of his shell. The surprise is Noah, I NEVER thought he'd do something like that to push her away too. Now we have another guy? Goodness gracious. Ranger is still being Ranger, the one you want to junk punch for fighting. Nice catching up with everyone in this series.

I can't tell you how much I love Ada. She's brave, honest, loyal and so loveable. When I got to the end of this book I gasped out loud. I seriously couldn't put this book down. Every chapter got better with confused boys, bitchy class mates, and alot of haywire smells. It follows along lexi story so you get more of that too! Bonus.

I love Ada. She's so kind and needs to have kind men!

So Ada has had a crush on Hux sence they met in ninth grade. They were friends in school, and then stopped talking. Now it's senior year and prom. And sometimes you start to talk to that old friend and do some normal human things like go to prom!

Better than Book 1

I liked this better than the first book because it was more about Ada and the guys and felt less about syncing the books from Lexi’s series. I know it was important, but now I feel like I’m really getting to know Ada and her guys. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Okay so honestly I love Ada. Noah is the sweetest and the birthday dinner was so cute. Hux is sweet and I like that he and Noah are becoming friends. You learn more about Saint, but the Olivia thing will be hard to come back from. I’m a little sad she is mad at Noah but I know he will be back. I’m irritated with Saint but I also feel kinda bad for him. Who is Zayn!??

Eeek, I can't wait for next

I am loving reading about Ada. She is so sweet and funny with her word vomit she does. I love Hux for her. He's shy but totally likes her. Noah is a big teddy bear and love him. Saint, oh man, he really needs to figure his stuff out. Oh, and a possible other boy, squeal!
