Liam Miller has left his turbulent past in the Army behind to work at Blackhawk Security, returning to his hometown of ShadowBrooke. Vance Blackhawk, one of the brothers at the helm, personally recruits Liam, recognizing his invaluable skills honed from a decade of deployments.
When Liam returns to find Sierra, the girl he never had the courage to ask out, single… he makes it his mission to get his chance.
Sierra Underwood, a lifelong resident of ShadowBrooke, operates Savage Pages, the town's beloved romance bookstore, pouring her heart into making it a success, not leaving much time for relationships.
When a break-in at the bookstore leaves Sierra hospitalized, Liam springs into action. He vows to uncover the culprit and ensure her safety, his protective instincts heightened by the tender feelings he has long harbored.
Sierra owns a bookstore in ShadowBrooke and her store specializes in romance books. She keeps an eye for a boy now a man (and what a man) she knew in high school. She should approach him but balks each time. Liam works for Blackhawk Security. He was in their unit and they took him into their firm when he got out of the military. He heads to lunch and is looking out the cafe window when he sees her---Sierra. He wants her but feels he's broken and she deserves someone whole. He makes a plan to go to her book club meeting and reads the book. But when he sees the club is all women he backs out. But the next day he meets up with her when she bumps into him and knocks his coffee into him. The next day he goes to the bookstore with the excuse he's looking for something to read. He overhears her partner Oakley talking with her about him. Then he buys a book and leaves. Meanwhile Oakley is trying to get Sierra to take a chance. She knocks every reason why she can't want Liam. It makes her think if she can. Then someone breaks into the store while she's there. Oakley sends a text to her and waits..she sends another..and waits. This isn't like Sierra. So she goes to the store to see the window broken. She goes in and finds Sierra on the floor unconscious. She calls 911 and then Blackhawk Security. Liam gets a call from his boss and told about the breakin and Sierra being hurt. He rushes to get there to find her still unconscious. He is going to make sure no one hurts her again. Is this the push he needs to claim what he knows is his? Will Sierra be ok? A lovely story in this series.

Liam is Book 1 of the Blackhawk Security Series. It’s a steamy, opposites-attract, friends -to-lovers, second-chance, small-town romantic suspense. Liam is a hunky ex-military man who has returned home. He is recruited to work at Blackhawk Security. Sierra is a sweet girl who owns a romance bookstore. Liam always liked her but never had the courage to ask her out. When he finds out she's single, he's not letting her get away again. When her bookstore is broken into and she's injured, Liam steps in. He's determined to keep her safe, make her his girl, and find out who is threatening her. These two had wonderful chemistry, and the ending was happy after all the mystery and drama. This was my first book by this author but not the last. I loved it.

Liam is the first book in the new Blackhawk Security series. This is a delicious start to a new series that I think I am going to enjoy a lot. The story is about Sierra Underwood and Liam Miller. They went to school together but there was no love match at the time. Liam went off and joined the Army but now he is back home after being gone for ten years. Sierra owns the local bookstore and has worked hard to make it successful. Both have not been in serious relationship before but Liam is determined to be her last and forever.
A new series that brings former ex-military men from the same unit together in their small town of ShadowBrook. Liam returns home to civilian life after years in the service. Not only returning to work with his friends, but to finally go after the girl he left behind. Sierra spends too much time staring out the window of her bookstore for a glimpse of her high school crush, Liam. A frightening event forces them to finally express their feelings. Great read.

Absolutely loved it. A short, packed story. I was So impressed with the author and the secondary characters I've already purchased the more books by this author. Great read and great start to a new series. Excited to check out more by this author. Happy reading

Liam and Sierra have a chance to explore a relationship together. However, the mystery of the break-in heats up, leading to Liam keeping her close and protected. It was an entertaining read!.

I can't keep a secret from any romance reader out there. You need to read this book about Sierra and Liam immediately. Truth be told Kaci has a best seller romance book right here and I will admit that I had this book finished in a day all because it is very hard to put down.
A second chance with your school age crush evolves into a suspenseful romance. Witty banter, good friends, tender moments, spice and a little intrigue make this a delightful read that can be consumed in about two hours.
