The only fault I found reading Hold Me Closer was that is was too short. I love Holden the oldest brother of Talon and Taron. He owns he own security company and is also security for the band. He gets set up on a blind date by his sister in law. Love the banter between Eaven and Holden. Lyndsey doesn't want to go on a date her recent dates have been losers, but she is friends with Eaven so she decides to go, buts set out to sabotage the date.
There was a lot of chemistry between Holden and Lyndsey. The brothers were all in this book and lots of talk as to where is Luke. Can't wait for Luke's book so excited Aiden is getting a book too.

I'm not to proud to say that when I started reading this series I wanted to beg Hilary Storm for Holden Walker's story. But all I had to do was ask and she assured me Holden was getting his own book. And boy did she deliver!

The cover model for Holden, Nathaniel Latham gives the perfect visual for the character.
Although it's hard for Holden and Lyndsey to see at first they are perfect for each other. Even though they plan to crash the blind date, it quickly turns into the "longest first date in history".

The Rebel Walking Series is one of my favorites and Hilary Storm delivers another, extremely hot, well written story.

This series is a good read but are very short. Several should of been put together to make one great book. The length of the books are the only problem I have with this series. The stories are great. They would of gotten a better rating if the length of the book was better. 100 pages or less are installment books to me and are my personal pet pev. Rated good

Book 4 in the Rebel Walking Series. You need to read the books in order to understand the back story.

Holden is definitely the protector of this group so I was not disappointed or surprised with his story. I wish it was longer. Certain situations felt a little rushed, but the story kept my attention. I really like Lindsay and I think they work really well together.

I was really disappointed with this book. It had so much potential, but it was so short that the author never really delved too deeply into any of the many opportunities to dig out a deeper connection to the characters.

So this was Holden's story. Brother to twins Talon and Taron, he has served as the big brother protector even into his brothers' music careers. Now he is working on being there for them while also starting his own security company. His life has been so consumed with work, he hasn't had a date in years. When Eaven approaches him about a blind date, he is anything but enthusiastic. That is until he meets the girl. Lyndsey is just as stubborn about wanting this date to be a one time thing as him. After both trying to sabotage the date a little, they end up forging a connection that works out in their favor when they return to Lyndsey's house to realize it's been broken into. Holden's protective instincts kick in and he has her stay with him and starts getting her house made more secure. As time wears on, they end up really sparking things off with each other, but then secrets get brought into the mix. Holden is tasked with becoming her security detail, but can't tell her. Which inevitably will cause a problem when she has to question if his feelings were from his heart the whole time or if he was just trying to keep her safe. However, they just have the opportunity to be together if the threat hanging over her life doesn't get to her first.

I just want to say that I love the premise of this novel. It's not very original, so it doesn't get a ton of bonus points, but it had so much potential. However, I firmly believe that for such a complicated storyline, you need to have a strong build up and solid story-telling. This book didn't really have those. It was like a small effort was made but not quite accomplished. I don't know if Hilary Storm was trying to shove this story into the shortest narrative possible or if she just didn't take the time to really do more than scratch the surface. This book was just too shallow overall.

There were a few plot holes and grammatical errors scattered throughout the story, and would normally be my biggest complaint. However, I had more problems with how rushed this story was. At times I didn't realize that we had skipped minutes ahead in the time. It was poorly timed and just poorly written.

I also didn't like Lyndsey. The author seemed to want her to be this strong character, but she was a bit too eager to go spend a weekend with some guy she's known for a matter of days. She more or less just goes along with everything with just a little resistance to give an illusion of stubbornness/strength (depending on how you look at it).

I could really complain about this book for hours on end, but I wanted to keep this pretty simple. The reason it didn't get a 1-star was because, as always with series, the previous books gave this a boost because I already liked the characters. Like I mentioned before, I also liked the premise this book presented, so it got a few points for that, despite if it missed the mark in delivery.

If this were the first book in the series, I wouldn't read more, but as it is, I'm hoping this was just a fluke. I don't love any of the books of this series, but I usually at least enjoy them. So hopefully, the next one will be better.

Holdon..."The Protector" of The Rebel Walking

Meet Holdon Walker. The oldest of the Walker boys. If you haven't read the complete series thus far, this may seem confusing. It's best to read them in order... In A Heartbeat, Heaven Sent, Banded Together, No Strings Attached, and then Hold Me Closer; to understand all the character backgrounds.

Holdon is a busy man. He not only keeps tabs on the band Rebel Walking but he is also trying to build his own security business. He doesn't have time for women or love. Lyndsey is trying to live her brother's dream. His death left her to run his sports bar. Her brother Kayden was all she ever had so she feels this is the only way to repay him for all he had done for her. When these two are brought together compliments of a blind date each one tries to make it so there will not be a possibility of a second date.

The date turns out better than either of them believe. When the evening ends to a possible intruder at her home everything changes! This is Holdon's life...to protect people. What happens when Lyndsey is no longer just his date, but is now his job? What will be of them when Lyndsey discovers Holdon has been keeping a big secret from her? Will they be forced to go their separate ways or will forgiveness and love prevail?

In this fifth installment Hilary Storm will have you excited, laughing, crying, and jumping for joy. It's packed with action and suspense, there's teasing and there's guilt; you'll experience a roller coaster of emotions! If you haven't read this series....I HIGHLY recommend it!! If you have read it....you HAVE TO grab Holdon's story to stay up with the latest of the Rebel Walking!!

Finally Holden's story! I was always curious about the older Walker brother, and he did not disappoint! With everything that happened at the end of Fighting the Odds, the band is now on a break and Holden and Aiden are working on creating their own security company. Everything is going great until Eaven sets Holden up on a blind date with one of her friends.

Lyndsey is fierce and done with men. I loved how she tried to turn Holden off with her amazing outfit on their date, but things quickly backfired, and the chemistry between these two is HOT!

I loved the back and forth with these characters, and their chemistry. Lyndsey reminds me of a mix between Eaven and Ivy. She's sassy, yet a little reserved. Holden is nothing like his crazy brothers, and I loved him. These two are put to the test, and the never ending first date, and I loved how fast their relationship comes together and then falls apart.

This book in the series, is amazing, and I loved these two characters. We didn't get to see much of the other characters in the series as we have in other books, but Holden's story needed to be told the way it did. It allowed you to see who he really was outside of being security for Rebel Walking.

I loved Lyndsey's character and hope we get to see some more of her in future books. I think she will fit in beautifully with this group of characters.

I've quickly become addicted to this series and can't wait for more!

Holden Walker is the the quintessential big brother. His need to control and dominate ooze from his very self with everything that he does. Whether it is him working as Head of security for Rebel Walking or protecting someone he just met.

Lainey Douglas has horrible luck with men. o seriously she keeps picking the worst guys. When her friend Eaven sets her up on a blind date with Holden she expects it to go the same way, so what does she do... she tries to sabotage it from the beginning.

What she doesn't realize is that Holden knows her game and is intrigued and decides to play the game too.

Will they put all pretenses aside and will she allow Holden to help her in her time of need or will they both let past experiences and fear keep them from what they both need and desire.

This was by far the best book so far in the Rebel Walking Series. Now don't get me wrong I loved the other books in this series but Ms. Storm did a fabulous job stepping out of the world of Sexy Rockers to the Sexy Security who keep them safe.

It didn't take me long to finish this book but that was be cause I couldn't put it down. Going through the emotional roller coaster was as amazing as it was exhausting.

I am not sure where the Ms. Storm will go next but if it continues in the direction of this book then I'm am ready and waiting!

Another Amazing story

I can't say enough about this Author and this Series (REBEL WALKING SERIES). This is big Brother Holden's story. He doesn't have time for a relationship, and it sure doesnt help that all his younger Brothers have found their soul mates. So of course Eaven wants to be a match maker fixing a blind date with her friend Lyndsey with Holden. Lyndsey just can't seem to pick the right guy. So she agrees to the blind date only to satisfy her friend. Holden does it so Eaven can drop it once it is over with. What these two didn't count on is getting along and having a lot to talk about. Something from Lyndsey's past ( something she has no idea about ) comes after her to get to someone that she hold close to her heart. One blind date leads to the longest first date anyone can have, but with Holden into security as his profession he is determined to keep Lyndsey safe but he has to keep a secret can she forgive him when it all comes out. Will they admit that in this short time they come to have strong feeling and can they build the trust back up. Man this was a good book. I would recommend it to all. Can not wait for more of Luke's story coming soon.

Hilary Storm has done it again!!! This was yet again another amazing story by Hilary. She has away of making you fall in love with each character she writes about.

Holden Walker is the brother Taron and Talon Walker and security guy for Rebel Walking. While the band is taking some time off to rebuild and deal with the tragic loss of their bandmate. Holden decides to take this opportunity to help further his security business. When he gets set up on a blind date with Lyndsey his life takes a turn he didn't see coming.

As soon as Lyndsey is introduced in this story I immediately connected with her. Dealing with her own loss she has sworn off men for awhile. That is until Holden Walker walks into her life. Will Lyndsey see that he is different from all the guts from her past and be able to give him a chance to see his is different from every other guy she has dated?

Thanks again Hilary for yet another great book. I have loved each book and cant wait to read more!!!!

Holden, the big brother to them all. The protector of the ladies we love of Rebel Walking. He is the serious one, Mr. Business. He can't help but fall victim to a little match making can he? Lyndsey is picking up the pieces of her life since losing her brother. Working to keep his dream alive by running his bar. Eaven is working her skills on her too. Holden and Lyndsey give in to just one date to keep their friend happy, well at least quiet. It may be the best thing they have ever done if they live long enough to realize it. Secrets, bad guys, and threats to loved ones keep them running around each other in circles. Throw in scenes hot enough to burn up the sheets and this read is great! Don't miss the next book in the Rebel Walking series. Hilary did it again!

Can he stay close enough?

Now it is Holden's turn to be in the spotlight and not just the hero in the background. He gets to put his protective instincts to use, a little more than he would have liked. And now a bit about the story...

Tired of seeing Holden alone all the time, Eaven decides to set him up on a blind date. He resists and do does his "date", but Eaven can be persistent. Lyndsey answers her door in a long flowing hippie skirt and an ugly sweater she got as a gag gift. But his sees her eyes first and decides to overlook the sweater. Will their opposite personalities be a match made in heaven?

Favorite passage: She's full of contradictions and it's comical to me. Her games are obvious and I have full intentions of playing along with her.

The latest addition to the Rebel Walking series doesn't disappoint.
Holden and Lindsey's story is another well written, grab you by the balls and keep you hooked until the very end, sexy Walker brothers story.
We love our alpha males an Holden has to be one of my favorites because it's not shut up an do what I say, he's the ease you into doing what he wants alpha, just the kind a strong female lead needs. I'm thrilled with Lindsey, she needs protection but she's not a whiny lead, she's strong and smart and knows when to pick her battles. Love love love this book and the characters. Now as is everyone else I'm sure, back to impatiently awaiting Luke's story.

Holden & Lindsey are set up by Eaven (the h of book 1 in this series) on a blind date. Set up might not be the correct term, more like nagged into it. *laugh* They both agree, just to get her off their backs (she's quite stubborn, that's why we love her!), but are determined to wreck the date. And then they meet, and sparks fly.

Holden is a super protective guy, a security expert, and some stuff goes down at the end of their date, causing him to go into alpha-protector mode.

This story is super fast, with some adventuresome elements, and of course sweet & spicy moments. I know it's short, but I think it might be my favorite of the series so far. : )

I think I'm in the minority when I say I didn't much care for this book. It was way too short (just about 100 pages) and there was no buildup to it at all, just several big moments strung together. I felt no connection at all with the characters and couldn't understand why they moved as quickly as they did with each other.
I will admit that this is the first "Rebel Walking" book I've read. I gave book #1 a shot by reading the sample but the dialog was so stilted and awkward I knew I wouldn't make it through the whole book. It was better in this book but I can safely say I doubt I'll be reading another in this series.

More....more....more...I loved Holden's story although it was short, it was easy to fall more in love with Holden then I already was from the other books. Holden, the protector. I loved how he put her needs above his and protected her even though she was very angry when she found it. I loved how he realized he was "in trouble!" I highly recommend this entire series. Although you can read this as a stand alone I recommend you read the entire series so you get the feel for all the characters and their bond with each other. Well done Hil! Bring on Luke part 2

Wow! What can I say? Definitely a whirlwind and roller coaster romance for this couple! If you've read the rest of the Rebel Walking Series you'll know some drama is bound to happen in every book to have you on the edge of your seat but this one? Just wow. Loved it, Holden's hot! Can't wait for more Luke and then my new baby Aiden later this year. This series and it's characters will make you feel like they're a part of your family, however dysfunctional it may be. Five stars of course, what else could there be? ❤️ Kellie

I was so excited when I got the book in the mail that I immediately started reading. I am glad that Holden got his own book but it was way too long for my liking. Eaven hooks Holden and Lyndsey up on a blind date that neither one of them wants. Of course things go all kinds of crazy because well what is a Rebel Walking book without chaos. Hilary can write an intense and exciting book and this one is no different. I already ordered the next book in the series from Amazon and can't wait to get it. I love this group and can't wait to read the rest of Luke's story and Aidan's story as well.

There are seriously no words that I have not said already about this fabulous series. I can not recommend this series enough or praise Hilary enough for giving her readers the greatest stories. Holden might not be a rocker, but he is the older brother to the twins and runs security for the band and he is just as hot. He met his match in Lyndsey! He isn't looking for a relationship nor does he want one and Lyndsey is pretty much the same way, but with some convincing by Eaven, they go on a date. It is funny how love knows when to come looking for you. When you least expect it.

What can I say Hilary Storm knocked it out of the park again with this book about Holden Walker. Oldest brother of the Walker brothers. Still single and sexy but goes out on a blind date and gets his hands full. Lainey Douglas is single and has rotten luck picking men, she is alone in the world after her brother dies too. Holden and Lainey go out for a date with crazy luck and unfortunate things happening so give this book a try you will love it like me!

I enjoy this series tremendously. Lyndsey and Holden are a great couple that tried to not be. I also enjoy when characters overlap from one book to another you just get so much of who they are and why. I can't wait for the next installment of this series mostly to see what Luke has been up to. Great read!

Love Holden!

So glad Holden got his own story! I love his protective personality for his family and in this story he extends it to Lyndsey. Eaven convinces him to go on a blind date with Lyndsey. Boy the sparks take off from there! Then suspense and danger shows up! Great story!

This is the fourth in the Rebel Walking series. I love all of them. This one is about Holden, who is the more intense of the brothers. So it makes since that this is an intense book. It starts out innocent enough, but goes a totally different direction than you would think. Thanks Hilary, for another great book.

HOLDEN AND LYNDSEY

This was a good mystery story that I wish had been longer with more details to the plot. Holden was just as sexy as I knew he would be, I just needed more to their life and future. If this hadn't been about Holden it would have only been 3 stars.
