Oooo was I looking forward to this book! This series has totally captured me. Here's this guy who has no idea who he is, he has "things" after him, there's a miracle performed, there's a woman who believes in him AND there's angels and demons? Yep, what's NOT captivating! After discovering some... unusual truths, Landon and Sarah set off to uncover the truth and good golly were they thwarted every step of the way! Exciting doesn't even begin to cover this book or series, exhilarating is more apt. And this book starts off on a high note for any adrenaline junkie, a plane is on it's way down... to crash.... Oh my word, I know I said adrenaline pumping but good golly, when THAT happened to Landon, I squealed, REALLY squealed! A good something happened, an awesome something happened.... and then it all unravelled....

This author has taken a thriller, a mystery, the Divine, good vs evil to a new height, not only in deeds, in faith itself, presenting a wonderful thrilling story to accompany the religious aspects. What is good? What is evil? Landon, not remembering a thing of who and what he is, goes by gut feels. The author showcases the conundrum to perfection, Landon's conflicting thoughts, Sarah's unfailing faith in God and Landon, Zacharias, a voice of reason and scripture offers sage advice. How true these words are "The enemy is cunning, he doesn't always appear with horns and a pitchfork. Sometimes he comes bearing gifts - fame, influence, adoration". Seeing Landon navigate these dangerous waters, or try to, was an incredible journey. His character resonated with realism, faith, doubt, uncertainty and Sarah, well, now she's the strongest of the strong, not only in her faith, in her conviction too. These two, met by chance, or was it divine intervention? These two, who develop strong feelings for one another, have grown throughout the series, steadily, magnificently, each action and thought bringing them more and more onto a path that's so convoluted. Yet one can't help but be aware, the hand of God is steering them, keeping them safe, keeping the evil at bay. And goodness me, one can't get more evil than Lucifer himself, who, for some reason, needs Sarah....

The author's storytelling and prose is amazingly vivid, extremely compelling and very proficiently penned. Even a simple interview with a journalist has strength, we all know how ruthless reporters can be, like this very apt phrase "she worked like an assassin, every lick of her mouth was like a knife, every subtle bat of the eye like poison" The action, the realness to the story is pulse racing, provocative and edge of seat dramatic. Shoo, at times I felt as though I was in a butter churn being mulled over and over again. But the thread of love is constant, one of hope, of God's blessings and I'm not ashamed to say I cried real tears whenever these scenes came about, the spark they caused grew into an inferno, the sheer emotional faith and hope resonated through every pore, seeping deeply into my bones. Tense, uplifting, dramatic, insightful, empowering, extremely powerful story that I sure as heck felt like bursting out in song by the end of this book, my own faith strengthened.

Where do I even begin with Mortal Coil? If you've been following Landon Walker's journey through The Unfallen series, then you already know he’s a man who constantly battles the odds. But in Mortal Coil, it’s not just survival he’s fighting for—it’s his very soul. And the stakes couldn’t be higher.

After surviving a catastrophic plane crash, Landon’s sudden rise to heroism is short-lived. The twist? It’s all been manipulated, and now he's being dragged through a media frenzy and a vicious game that threatens to ruin him. When he defends a flight attendant possessed by something dark, all hell breaks loose. Suddenly, he's labeled a murderer, a pawn in a much darker plot, and the very system that should protect him turns against him.

What really got me in this book was the way Landon is put under the microscope. The pressure, the accusations, the battle with his own identity—it’s raw and unflinching. He’s forced to navigate a world that’s fallen apart around him, where nothing is what it seems, and even the most trusted authorities are in on the deception. Mortal Coil is, without a doubt, a thriller that keeps you on your toes from page one, but it’s also a soul-searching journey for Landon. A fight for redemption in the midst of chaos.

The action in this one? Non-stop. But it’s the deeper, spiritual battle that really grabbed me. The more Landon digs into the mystery of what’s happening, the more he finds himself torn between doing the right thing and surviving the madness around him. His internal struggles, his faith, and his need to rise above the lies and deceit are what make this book so compelling.

Fans of Frank Peretti or Good Omens will absolutely appreciate the blend of suspense, supernatural elements, and that underlying tension between good and evil. The twists? Completely unexpected, and the pace doesn’t slow down for a second. There’s no shortage of dark forces at play, and the way Landon confronts them is nothing short of gripping.

This is one of those books that has you questioning everything you thought you knew about justice, redemption, and the nature of true heroism. Judah Lamb has delivered an explosive third book in the series, and I cannot wait to see where Landon’s story goes from here.

Landon and Sarah are on their way back to the US after battling demons in the Vatican, however it seems the demons' agenda was not yet complete. A darkness engulfs the plane they are on, as it starts to fall, Landon fears for Sarah, however when a voice tells him to save them all he realises he has to leave her side and try to stop the plane from crashing. He is called a hero, however when journalists try to make a big hit out of his story, Landon likes the popularity, and even when Sarah reminds him who the real hero of this tale is, he allows himself to seek the glory and fame until it all goes wrong. People are so fickle and the media so manipulative especially when the devil is pulling the strings. Landon is battling both light and dark forces within himself, he is still searching for who he really is and is full of doubts as to his goodness, yet Sarah never wavers. Her faith is steadfast, even when facing off with Lucifer himself. This dark christian thriller is full of excitement, which kept me turning the pages, fearing for both their lives as the devil knows how to use his words to make them bow to his will. Sarah seems to be the stronger of the two where their faith is concerned, however Landon is well on his way with her to support him!

Sarah and Landon are on a plane when it suddenly decides to take a nosedive. Chaos begins to set in. Landon, Sarah, and the other passengers think this is it. We are going to die. However, something urges Landon to get up and do something to save these people.

The pilot and co-pilot are dead when Landon arrives at the cockpit. He understands that flying the plane is their only chance to try to save everyone. Despite the fact that he is not a pilot, he currently has no other option. Landon takes over the controls, but is it truly him flying the plane, or is it the angel sharing his body or mind?

Despite being referred to as a hero, Landon does not think of himself as such. He tries to explain to them that God, not him, saved the aircraft. But not everyone is interested in hearing that. Was it God, or did Landon save the plane?

There's tons of action and suspense that makes you want to keep flipping the pages. I got hooked on Mortal Coil from the very first page, and whenever I found myself thinking about what I just read, I was instantly pulled back in. I couldn't look away; I just had to keep reading.

I highly recommend you grab a copy of Mortal Coil today!

"Mortal Coil" is a gripping thriller replete with action and suspense that compels readers to keep turning the pages. From the very first paragraph, I found myself fully immersed in the narrative, often pausing to reflect on the preceding content, which only deepened my engagement with the story. The novel offers a high-octane experience, enriched with emotional depth that left a lasting impression and sometimes sent chills down my spine.

This narrative skillfully examines themes of human frailty and temptation, poignantly reminding us of the importance of humility and the necessity of God's guidance in our daily lives. It underscores the significance of faith and trust and the enduring presence of God in all circumstances. As an outstanding series continuation, "Mortal Coil" consistently elevates the stakes and surpasses its predecessors. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone in search of an enthralling read.

I loved the part by the author in the back asking you am I? The whole book was good. This book drew me in and made me think, cheer and cry. While the drama was bigger in the book (Although I do have near death experiences) I could imagine myself in characters place. Thinking too highly of myself and giving into pride. Seeking fame over giving glory to God. Trusting in myself instead of giving my life and decisions to God. Good morals. I also liked character wasn't perfect. Even after becoming a Christian he made bad decisions. He was human relatable.

I also liked the bit about baptism and living water.

Love this series.

Oh boy Theo alias Judah Lamb does it again...another book that once you start reading you cant put it down. Full of action right from the opening page, the plane they are on going back to the USA suddenly starts a nose dive. Landon knows he has to do something or everyone on board is going to die. But what...he isnt a pilot, but then a voice speaks to him in his mind telling him what to do. He is hailed a hero, but it goes to his head even though Sarah has warned him. Then it all falls apart and he is accused of causing the crash. Full of epic struggles between good and evil, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page.

When the plane Landon and Sarah are on suddenly plunges violently, he knows something has gone wrong. Landon had just stood up to use the toilet when he was jolted off his feet, rolling through the cockpit door. Inside, he sees a flight attendant with black eyes and both pilots dead. The results of this stressful ordeal are quite riveting. This story has plenty of action and some romance, ending with a cliffhanger.

The plot becomes more complicated for Landon. He performs a heroic act—but is he a hero, and who orchestrated this?
Lots of action and introspective messages. In the prior two volumes, Sarah has become a friend, confidante, confessor, and the voice of reason (whether Landon listens or not). Here, she seems to be taking an even more prevalent role.
Love the characters, the message, and the thought-provoking nature of how do we do good—and what makes us good?
You don't need to be religious to understand and consider the core questions presented.

Such a grueling odyssey - a lot of action, a lot of suspense, a lot of wrong turns, a lot of angst, a lot of trials - to get to such a simple and profound discovery. Take the New Testament's fast in the desert and combine that with Robert Ludlum or Tom Clancy's brand of action and you might just end up with this. I found this as thought-provoking as breath-taking. I will definitely be looking for more by this author.

Received as an ARC, I am leaving my honest review. Incredible and gripping from the start, the battle continues. The plot is nail biting, the danger and suspense is high. The devotion of Sarah is unbreakable as the evil ways of Lucifer have Landon in his sites. The battle and conflicts rise quickly to a point where the story becomes unputdownable and the emotional turmoil tugs at your heart. The ending will have you getting your breath back, but will also have you waiting for the next episode!

No matter what is thrown at Sarah and Langdon, they always find themselves choosing the light. Even when temptation comes they find their way back to the light, back to where they belong. Not by themselves, but with the help of others. This is a unique way of helping us understand things that we question or just don’t believe. Well written in an easy flowing manner with great mastery of storytelling!

Landon and Sarah are in a plane crash. Landon prays for help and is told to be the help. When he is asked later to tell his story, his listeners want to hear that he was the one actually working, not Remiel through him. They want him to take the credit. How will Landon handle this?

Makes you think.
This is a story that brings out our human weakness and temptation. We need to be careful not to let things go to our head and hope and pray for guidance. Having faith in God however you call Him is so very important.

Feeling the Lord

This book brought Landon back to himself and I felt baptized once again. Very exciting things happened in this book of the series. Can’t wait to read what happens next in Landon’s and Sarah’s adventures.

A fast paced and action packed read. Landon and Sarah are in a plane crash and miracles seem to happen. Who saved them? Landon puts himself out there in the world and things go abruptly wrong. Will he be a hero or a terrorist? Can Sarah be a help mate to her friend?
