In the heart of the Caribbean, where the waves shimmer like molten gold and danger lurks beneath every horizon, pirate captain Jean Luc Boudreaux reigns as both legend and rogue. With his irresistible charm and devil-may-care swagger, Jean Luc plunders more than treasure—he steals hearts. From the sultry taverns of Havana to the windswept shores of Tortuga, his lovers are as scattered as the jewels in his coffers, each one holding a piece of his untamed soul.

But when Jean Luc crosses paths with Captain Eleanor “Hellfire” Drake—an infamous pirate queen with an all-female crew and a heart as fiery as her name—his world is turned upside down. What begins as a clash of wills and wits quickly ignites into a tempest of passion, betrayal, and undeniable desire. Together, they form a dangerous alliance to take on rival pirates, scheming empires, and their own guarded hearts.

As the two captains chart a course through peril and plunder, Jean Luc is faced with a will he continue his reckless pursuit of fleeting pleasures, or will he risk everything for the one woman who can match him wave for wave?

I was happy with this story being obviously about pirates and following around the Jamaican Islands Bahama Islands with the histories of course being known by many particularly if you live on the east coast it's a good story there were a lot of fights that went on and actually touched on some of the king's men's army that ended up began to pursue the pirates and that just turned into a majorly brutal situation if you are of course familiar with any of it. so much is being lost the pumps the use of today and even going several years back because of tried to push so many things to the forefront and hide valuable pieces of History be it not only from lessons learned to things that were not only accomplished but the past that these people took to try to make something better.

3.5 stars rounded up.

Rakish pirate decides it would be fun to plunder some Spanish galleons. But a rival captain shows up first. They fight. They duel. They fall in love. This is a fun, swashbuckling adventure that is reminiscent of the best parts of Pirates of the Caribbean. I enjoyed it immensely. The characters are fun. The stakes are high. And I cannot help but know in my heart the MMC has a girl at every port waiting for him.

I really love the premise of this story. I think it just needs to be fleshed out a little more. Everything happens pretty quickly, and it lacks a bit of world-building. However, it is short and sweet, so it is great for those who only have an hour or two to kill in reading a fantasy book. The writing is actually pretty good, and you can tell the author did editing – which is a must for any indie author. I think it has a lot of potential. I would love to see this one as a full legnth novel.
