As God brought me to this Bible study I was walking in a very low place in my life. We all as Christians go through the process of valleys and mountains in our walk of faith over the years. But this particular valley was very grievous for me. I had likened it to coming out of Egypt prior to the Bible study. So the study was God timed for me.
I needed training to come out of familiarity and to truth. And how to find away in my confusion and darkness even as I was a Christian for years. This study gave me time with God daily. That was just what God wanted for my heart that day. In a way that my mind, heart and emotions could understand at the time. Pointing to scriptures of truth were I knew where my truth lived. It helped me grasp hold of my faith in a way that I could rely on because it was based in scripture.
This Bible study was rich in explaining the importance of God's redeeming love depicted in the Old Testament, and especially in the final book of the Torah - Deuteronomy. Through Moses, God continually pursued His chosen people even though they repeatedly struggled to follow Him. God's consistent, faithful siren-call of love never gave up on the Israelites through their failures and triumphs, and ultimately grew this nation into victors ready to trust and believe in Almighty God. In short, they grew to know, love, believe, trust, and obey the LORD. And we can too. This Bible study also delivered a great promise to me, from the very Promise Keeper Himself. Thank you, Monica, for teaching with clarity and truth!
