This anthology gives a longer, sexier look at the trusty deputies of the first three towns in the Cowboy Justice series and their very different romantic foibles. Despite misgivings, Hank gives his marriage a second chance; Sam meets a woman that loves and appreciates the same things in life he does and; Drake learns sometimes the first love is the best love.
Unlike the novels, these shorts focus only on the romantic slice of the lawmen's lives. Other than the sheriff and his mate the self contained tales didn't venture into town or danger. This reader missed it... quite a bit.
Deputy Hank Dixon - Harper, Montana 3.5stars
Hank's looking forward to the end of his shift. His son, Luke, will be there visiting and he won't have to spend much time with his soon to be ex-wife, Alyssa though he knew they needed to start talking about the divorce. But when Hank arrives at the house, he's surprised to learn Alyssa faults herself for their problems and has moved herself and Luke back home to they can try again. Hank's not having it!
Deputy Sam Taylor - Springwood, Montana 4stars
Luckily Deputy Sam was on duty when Tabby Bartlett gets injured after she crashes her car in a snowstorm. Sam realizes how lonely he is but doesn't have a solution as he tries to talk himself out of getting involved with Tabby. But helping her check out a ghost story in a cemetery at midnight might keep things in perspective. This couple had great chemistry and more of a tale to tell than this short allowed.
Deputy Drake James - Corville, Montana 3.75stars
Tori Saunders has been in love with Drake James since they were 13. Afterwards she moved to New York and he moved to women with questionable morals and more questionable brains. Now she's back, to open her own bakery and impress upon Drake playtime with bimbos is over and it's time to claim what's always been his. The question is if he's grown to want one woman instead of all the women.
Overall rating: 3.75stars

These three novellas were a fabulous read, telling the stories of the deputies who are so often left in the background, yet play such a prominent part in each of their towns. I read these after the first three books in the series, and felt like they completed what had occurred so far.
Hank Dixon - Harper, Montana
There was absolutely nothing not to love about Hank. He personifies, loyalty, integrity and is a genuine all round good guy. So the rescue of Tabby in the line of duty, is just another day at the office, until the easy going ghost hunter strokes the fire f his desire.
Sam Taylor - Springwood, Montana
Protecting your heart is never easy, and knowing that you were not enough for the woman who was meant to be your forever is bittersweet.
So when a year passes and Alyssa returns claiming that she’s home to stay, Sam has to ensure that the walls around his heart are high and the barriers are strong, so that when she leaves again he doesn’t tumble into the abyss.
Drake James - Corville, Montana
A womanising reputation has not stopped Tori from wanting to live her childhood fantasy of forever after with this sexy deputy; but he has to notice her first.
But can a severe case of hero worship transform into the forever kind of love, or will lust be the winner when this serial romeo turns on his charm?

Three deputies find their soul mates in this box set. One is a wife, ne os a brand new love and one is a teenage crush. Very different stories and three romances. My favorite is Deputy Sam Taylor's story, who works in Strongwood for Sheriff Tanner Marks. Sheriff Marks and Dr. Madison have a role in helping Sam and the young lady who comes to town discover each other.
Deputy Hank Dixon and his wife are separated, and Hank sees no chance for reconciliation. His wife has changed, however, and he begins to see her differently. Then a serious accident happens and......
Deputy Drake has known Victoria Saunders since school days and she has had a crush on him all that time. This girlhood crush becomes sort of a contrivance for the story, but it works out well.

This is a group of 3 novellas about the deputies that are a part of the stories in the Cowboy Justice Association series. There is deputy Hank Dixon from Harper Montana, deputy Sam Taylor from Springwood Montana and deputy Drake James from Corville Montana. They are all characters from The Cowboy Justice Association series. And theses are just as fantastic and well written as the series!!!! The 3 novellas tell about how they meet and fall for the special one and how they love with all their hearts!!!! Would recommend everyone to read the series!!!!

What a brilliant collection!, the deputies stories, Hank, Sam & Drake, they are novellas but they don't feel rushed, original stories, likeable characters and loads of steam!. I thought Hank & Sam's stories were the best and their ladies were perfect for them, also great to hear about the sheriffs and their partners from the original books, this is a great series with more stories are to follow, looking forward to reading them.

The Deputies by Olivia Jaymes is a fantastic read. This is 3 complete stories in one package. Ms Jaymes has delivered well written books with three suspense filled stories. The characters in all 3 books are great. There isn't anything about this set that I don't like. Be prepared for humor, sizzle and drama. These 3 books are complete stories, no cliff hangers. I enjoyed The Deputies and look forward to reading more from Olivia Jaymes in the future.

Great addition to the Cowboy Justice series by featuring short novellas about the sexy deputies we've watched on the sidelines. All 3 stories were different, but all well written and I recommend these as a part of the fantastic world that Olivia Jaymes has created.

Three novellas that allow a bit of a catch up with the sheriffs of the town. Stories related three deputies looking for love. Strong men and hot sex. I hope that we hear more from this author.

I loved The Deputies!! Three stories on some of our favorite deputies from the Cowboy Justice series.
First up is Deputy Hank Dixon from Cowboy Command-Hank and Alyssa gets a second chance on their marriage, their story is 5 stars!
Second is Deputy Sam Taylor from Justice Healed-Tabby ventures into Sam's territory, she needs to interview a client for an upcoming paranormal show and ends up in a ditch from a snowstorm, Sam comes to her rescue and a instant attraction begins, one hot sexy read!!
Third is Deputy Drake James from Cowboy Truth-Tori has had a major crush on Drake since they was teenagers and played 7 minutes in heaven at her best friends birthday party, years past Tori comes home to open her bakery and stake a claim on Drake.
All 3 reads are great and steamy hot!! I hope Olivia James gives us more deputies from her Cowboy Justice series!!

So... this is a group of 3 novellas about the deputies that are a part of the stories in the Cowboy Justice Association series. What I am doing is reading one of the books, then following up with the novella about the deputy mentioned in the book (before I move on to something else and totally forget who these guys are). I didn't see this boxed set until I had read Book 2 (about Sheriff Tanner), so I was intrigued about Sam from the book descriptions of him. That's the novella I have read in this volume so far. I would give it a 3.25 star rating.
The first novella about Henry just doesn't sound that interesting, so I might not read it... not sure yet. I haven't read the main novel featuring the third deputy yet, so I will expand upon this when I do.

Good read
I read the other 6 books first and this one was good (3 novellas), but not up to the depth and quality of the full books. And what happened to Dare and Evan? Thought maybe they would be in this book. Three deputies that fall in love and fight it most of the way, but not too long because the stories are short. Recommend if you like short and fast. More sex than feelings.
