Consequences: I'm With the Band

Rate this book
Dylan, Andy, and Elliana (Ellie to her friends) have been passionate about their band, BlackStar, for as long as Ellie can remember. She loves the buzz of performing and the magical adulation from the crowd, and she counts the boys as her best friends, even if they do fight like cat and dog all the time. But Ellie’s feelings for Dylan have turned from platonic to something else, just lately, and that’s tricky, because Ellie is going out with Andy. It’s getting more difficult to cope with her feelings and with Dylan’s moody, self-destructive impulses, so when Ellie secretly auditions for a Pop Idol style talent show, she knows she’s going to have to make a decision about where her musical future lies—as a mass-market pop act or a credible indie singer with a cool and original band like Blackstar. Ellie sings a song written by Dylan for her final performance on the talent show and wins. The crowd can’t get enough of her, or the song it seems, and that’s when Ellie’s conscience kicks in. Can she really betray Dylan to serve her own needs? And does her heart really belong with Blackstar after all? As she stands to receive her winning ovation, Ellie makes a courageous decision.

Laurie Depp

7 books4 followers
Laurie Depp was born and brought up in the heart of the city in London, growing up amongst a varied mix of people - from market traders to city traders - and with nightlife to die for. She has been gathering material for her writing since her early teens.

It's rumored that Laurie is a distant cousin of that other famous Depp, Johnny, though Laurie will only say 'no comment' when asked.

Consequences is Laurie's first published sequence of books for the teen market, and though she is often reclusive and prone to agoraphobia, she is occasionally spotted dining around her 'manor', wearing dark glasses and a cute blonde wig.

All I can say is WOW!!

This book is absolutely amazing!

Its' all about a girl called Ellie who has just left a band called Blackstar. As she left the band though it meant leaving her boyfriend and best friends'. Ellie thinks' she has a good reason to leave as Blackstar isn't going anywhere and she has been offered a chance on a reality show called Pop World!

This book is all about Ellie finding out who she truely is and having to stand up for herself and make her own decisions'! && making the right ones'!

I think this book is totally perfect for any girls =).

Overall I think that this book is well worth the read as at the end there were quite a few shocks' ;)! Quite a few of which the reader isn't expecting =).

I would definately read this again and i'm thinking about going out later to see if they have the other 5 in the series in at the library! =)
