In Happily Single, I delve into what it truly means to embrace singleness, not as a waiting period but as a time to thrive, heal, and grow. With 13 practical keys, this book empowers readers to rewrite societal narratives around singlehood and discover happiness on their terms. Whether you’re single by choice, circumstance, or transition, this book offers actionable insights and heartfelt encouragement to help you live fully and unapologetically.
This book screamed at me because I am very happily single. The beginning had me laughing, but the content is very serious. I could relate to some points, but this book is written by a devout Christian and doesn't reflect all my views, but I can understand why the author has made the decisions she has. It's a book that can be eye-opening for singles who haven't yet found peace & happiness in their singledom. It's a personal journey, and not every key may apply or appeal to you, but I think most women could resonate or gain from at least one point/key in this book. Single or not.
leaving a positive rating for this author in anticipation of this book! congrats on your art, and may it be received well! i look forward to reading it when it is released.
"Can you sit in a room full of people without your people and still be glad? Are you happy with your own company?"
The book resonated with me on so many levels. Over the past few years, I've stepped out of my comfort zone and done things to get to know myself better by understanding what makes me happy and what I truly want from life.
I've always enjoyed my own company, but at one point, I would have never dreamed of doing anything 'outside' alone. However, solo coffee dates, holidays, and eating at restaurants are some of my favourite things to do 💚
The book encompasses my thoughts on being single and on dating:
"Is this person that's coming into me making my life better or worse?"
I believe that someone new coming in should enhance one another's lives, and if not, then there's a point continuing.
I think Zipporah really encapsulates the full feeling of how it feels to truly be happily single. It was such a great thought-provoking read that was very relatable and made me laugh at points throughout the book.
The book is written by Zipporah Kuteesa, a devout, single Christian, however I feel the book would resonate with all women in some aspect, whether single, in a relationship or married or whether religious or not.
