4/5. Book 2 in the Grateful Hearts series. After reading Barren, my expectations were high, and while Broken is well written, it didn’t hit the same emotional notes for me. Phoebe is a tough character to connect with. Her rigid, workaholic nature made it hard to root for the romance with Kyrie, who was genuinely trying to pursue her. Though her heart eventually softens, it happens late in the story, so we don’t spend much time with the more open version of her. Still, Faith Arceneaux’s writing shines through. I’m especially looking forward to Burdened, Gabby’s character stood out to me in the first two books of the series, and I can’t wait for her story.
May I reiterate, the cover art for both “Barren” & “Broken” are spectacular🤩‼️With no preconceived knowledge of the Author Ms. Arceneaux I was intrigued by representation of the book’s jacket. Thereafter, WOW again 🥹😍…faith’s dynamic duo prayer & love prevails‼️“Broken (Grateful Hearts - Book 2)” is/was a beautifully written story of polar opposite entrepreneurs Phoebe & Kyrie (plus their village of prayer warrior family’s & friends) and how the journey of trials of life can usher us into a greater purpose: communion with our Creator, pray about everything & allow the brokenness of pridefulness to humble our character. …I highly recommend this series 😍‼️ Meanwhile, 1 Corinthians 13, "Three things will last forever — faith, hope & love — & the greatest of these is love." 💐🥰 ..Well done Ms. Arceneaux, well done👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿‼️Thank you for sharing your ministry & creativity in this literary platform. Our obedience is great than sacrifice‼️Can’t wait for book 3: “Burden”🤩‼️
This was a story about finding your peace in God Phoebe had to realize that God loved her and was wanting on her to come back to him and Kyrie had to realize how important faith and praying for the right reason was Together they found each other and the happiness they deserved The supporting characters gave more depth to the story line especially JR who provided some laughs and love Seeing Nia and Gabby was a plus Overall this was another great addition to the series and was well written Highly recommend it Faith you did an excellent job and continue to let your pen and imagination be led by the one who knows the end before the beginning.
Phoebe, the self contained nearly one woman act. Despite having a team around her, she really does almost everything alone. As a fashion designer, she’s feel the need for perfection. Phoebe has mastered keeping others away. She is a bit icy. Enters Kyrie, the timid young man biffing for her restoration project due to a flood in her building. He took an immediate attraction to her, but it took him some time to melt the Ice Princess’ heart.
What a page turner! I loved everything about this book! The mustard seed faith to the undoubtably faith! Love, connections, prayers, and the desire to succeed at all cost. But, there is so much beauty in trusting God and praying! Loved it!
This series is really good!! with prayers and faith ,all things are possible!! Tis book shows with patience and continue prayers ,and we need to have faith in our prayers we can bring people to Christ
While it was almost predictable near the end, the trail leading to it was wonderful. It kept me wanting to get to the next chapter, every chapter. Beautiful love story.
Faith, this read had such a great lesson. When you lose faith it will take something to bring you back to the Father. Always thinking you can n do it by yourself showed Phobe it was ok to let go and trust. It was good to see her finally believe again. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
