I’m a woman who is just so mad at the world right now that I want to scream and break shit so a rage anthology felt very fitting. However, I struggled to get into the majority of the stories and the one I came here for just made me angry because I’m actively trying to avoid the fucked up news coming out of my country unless it’s on my terms so to pick this up and be bombarded with the kind of shit I want away from sucked. So, I’m going to review the 2 I read and not rate this to be fair to the other authors but these 2 stories deserve about 1 star each for not giving me proper karma or revenge.
-MM-Sins Of The Father by Rebecca Rathe
I came here for Rebecca Rathe but her story was about a religious Republican senator 💀🔪 who, surprise, fucking surprise, is a corrupt, murdering, cheating bastard who fucked over the sister of our MC Levi to the point she’s on life support so in order to get revenge Levi tries to seduce his son, Adam. Adam is gay and has had to hide it his whole life but falls head over heels for Levi. There were references to a person I won’t name because he makes me sick with his inhumane policies and absolutely abhorrent administration. It’s bad enough he exists in real life let alone the book world. Fuck that. If I’m forced into reading a book about a corrupt Republican senator this is NOT the outcome I’m looking for in a dark story. Fuck a home search & arrest, this fucker should have been taken care of behind the barn.
-MMF-Son of Sin by MM Riott
This one made me super ragey for a whole other reason. Sin is some creepy dude who stalks couples, learns all their info then kidnaps them. He becomes obsessed with Kieran and Noah so he installs cameras in their house and learns they both have hidden dark desires. He then breaks in one night when the husband isn’t home and drugs the wife and rapes her after replacing her birth control with a placebo. The FMC never wanted to be a mom due to some dark shit in her past. About 2 months later, Sin kidnaps this couple and makes the FMC take a pregnancy test which reads pregnant 🙄 and then convinces her she really does want to be a mom and suddenly it’s happy families between the 3 of them. 💀 Ummmm so in feminine rage anthology I’m supposed to be ok with this absolute dickhead forcing this chick to get pregnant and then instead of her getting revenge, they become happy together and raise this baby??? WTF No. The husband should have chopped off Sin’s dick or the wife should have when they finally bested him and tied him to a chair but no somehow he gets free and they all suck and fuck and are excited to raise this baby together. 💀
So in summary the two stories I read in this anthology just put me into a deeper slump for a few weeks. I wanted vengeance not whatever the fuck this was. 💀

Blood and knife play? I am listening, Rianne Burnett. Batya is smooth with her sword! Her sword skills are her main focus until Castille. Batya the Bloody and Castille the Butcher had my attention for the full short story.
A River Red - O’Junea Brown ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ross was suspicious to me right away and I didn't like him. Everyone's parents are worried about Mavis having kids, but what about the way Ross is behaving?? Why did this intruder/stalker intrigue me? Well it's because I agree with him. "See you soon", he's coming back?! 👀😭

Add an extra star or more, because of the worthy cause this book is highlighting! An extremely important sexist & misogynistic issue!
Unfortunately, all are a little too short to have a satisfying romance &/or an involved storyline. Most writers have used these short stories/novellas as prequels to other books or series. - which can be helpful to readers when choosing a series (or author) to pursue or not to bother with.
● I Hope They Serve Dick In Hell by Jo Brenner 3? stars /5; Prologue + 6 chapts, pgs 10 - 37 FMC = Emma; MMC = Owen, Alec & Liam;
A dark MMFM omegaverse story, set in a dystopia omniverse prison. Most of story is setting the scene. Would probably read more with these characters.
● Savage Thieves by Poppy Jacobson 2 stars /5; 3 chapts, pgs 41-52. FMC = Keri; MMC = Daniel Elias & Akinade; MMFM. A short teaser for continuation of narrative + Savage series.
FMC, to avoid a heist in progress, finds 3 more people in her chosen hiding place, & she has history with 2 out of the 3 of them.
● Summoned by MT Addams 1½ stars /5 MFMMM - no sword crossing. 5 chapts pgs 58 - 100. FMC = Daisy Murray, vigilante leader; MMMMMC = Owen Woodlock, Drake Miller, Kingston Winslow & Wyatt Challahan.
*Need to have read Summon Us by M.T Addams first.
This is bonus content with characters from MT Addams’ standalone story Summon Us. 1st Person, Multiple POVs Friends-to-Lovers Possessive/Obsessive MMCs Second Chance Romance, Psycho characters, Masked characters.
It’s been eleven years since (Summon Us events) & they all left their hometown Briar Glen - so MC’s are now 36yo or 35yo. Don't know why they can’t give the police an anonymous tip-off, & just back them up if need be. Although I can understand their mistrust of authorities - they could possibly take out the bad-guys & the corrupt cops in one hit.
Or, it could have all been an elaborate undercover operation & they attacked the good guys - they wouldn’t have known until it was too late.
Can’t believe they are OK killing innocents, it”s hypocritical, & makes them no better than the villains they are disposing the world of. Very disappointing. Definitely didn't like some of the terminology used ie "mess between her legs" - to describe arousal juices of Daisy or Daisy & 1 or more of the MMC cum. Also, describing scars as "nasty", both are demeaning & can cause self-consciousness to women especially.

I'm more of a dark monster romance, this anthology had dark romance in every iteration (billionaire, Mafia, monster, mc, etc) with various tropes and all of all the types of love pairings you could ever want. Are you looking for single couplings, why choose, or maybe LGBTQIA friendly? No matter your preference, you'll probably find it here. What better way to support those in need and get access to a slew of authors.

This short story may only be 74 pages, but it packs a punch! From the moment Levi and Adam met, I was hooked—and now I just want MORE of them!
🖤 Adam: shy, devout, and caught between his faith and the undeniable pull toward the new guy at church.
🔥 Levi: confident, charming, and on a mission to expose a corrupt senator… even if it means using his son to do it.
The tension? 🔥 The chemistry? Off the charts. And when everything explodes (because of course it does), their bond only gets stronger. I loved how perfect they were for each other, how supportive they stayed even when things got messy.
Rebecca Rathe has a way of pulling you right into her stories and making you devour them at lightning speed. But seriously… can we please get more of Levi and Adam? Because I need to know what happens next! 👀💙

Flustered she realizes she doesn’t have her drivers license and doesn’t even know what a registration card looks like. To top it off, she’s wearing nothing but skimpy sleep attire. She tries to explain and stay calm but when she’s forcefully taken from the car and cuffed fear truly sets in.
That’s until the one person she never expects shows up to the scene. Her husband is back after two years and claiming what’s his. Emmett Carter may have stayed away but it wasn’t due to dislike or displeasure. He wanted a wife who had a moment to live. A wife who knew her own self not a robot trained to be his betrothed. And in this short little slice of life he owns her body in all the best ways. Too bad we couldn’t have a longer story for these two because they’d scorch the pages.

Flustered she realizes she doesn’t have her drivers license and doesn’t even know what a registration card looks like. To top it off, she’s wearing nothing but skimpy sleep attire. She tries to explain and stay calm but when she’s forcefully taken from the car and cuffed fear truly sets in.
That’s until the one person she never expects shows up to the scene. Her husband is back after two years and claiming what’s his. Emmett Carter may have stayed away but it wasn’t due to dislike or displeasure. He wanted a wife who had a moment to live. A wife who knew her own self not a robot trained to be his betrothed. And in this short little slice of life he owns her body in all the best ways. Too bad we couldn’t have a longer story for these two because they’d scorch the pages.

Not all of the stories were for me, but please read it if you can and like dark, fcked up romance. Definitely check the trigger warnings though!

I loved being able to read this, knowing that the proceeds are going towards a worthy cause AND it’s written by a bunch of kick a*s authors.
Take the time to read it, the feminine rage is justified in each story and absolutely stunning.

Overall, I think the concept is great and I love that the proceeds do go to the Chicago Abortion Fund (CAF).
Personally, a lot of stories were hit or miss for me. But for a reader of dark romance, there are many stories to choose from.
