Janettes’ passion has always been horses. As a nine year old girl the highlight of the young Janettes’ week was her Saturday afternoon riding lessons. Her other love is reading, and whenever she couldn’t be with horses, she was reading about them. She now has many decades of experience, starting, schooling and riding horses and of the camaraderie between riders as shown in Riding the Dale.

Janette now lives near the East Yorkshire coast with her family, horses and dog. She taught her husband and daughter to ride and is now enjoying watching her granddaughter learn.

This novel blends rural drama, romance, and mystery around Beckholme’s struggling stable. After finishing a successful wedding event, Adam and Jazz work to attract new liveries, but trouble quickly follows. A threatening client, romantic tensions, a damaging news article, and the chilling legend of a ghost at Beckholme create constant pressure. I appreciated how the story balances personal relationships with suspense, especially the subplot of the missing local woman. The setting feels vivid and the stakes feel real for the characters and their business. For readers writing reviews, it helps to mention the plot, characters, pacing, and how the story made you feel overall.

Love this series, and the 3rd book was a doozy, had a bit of everything.

Jazz was a a little annoying in this one, she was just so overawed about everything.

I hope there will be a 4th episode, ghere has to be, I need to know what Fiona does, and does Adam find about Mark’s secret?
