I literally loved everything about this novella! I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions as J.R. Mason made references to things we can all relate to, social media viral moments and some of our favorite TV shows.
Meet Linda, the neighbor that everyone despises. Nosey, entitled, bossy, overbearing, a complete tyrant. Any negative adjective you can think of, it’s probably Linda. Neighbors are finally fed up with her antics, but what will they do? Well.. the title tells a good tale, but read to find out how these neighbors get creative!
J.R. Mason’s writing style is impeccable and this short story is a must read! Highly highly recommend as this was such a fun one, with not a dull moment.

Every neighborhood has that one who acts like the HOA police, like they own the block, in this book it’s Linda. Mine is Charles Smith (he ain’t my facebook friend so he won’t see this LOL). This book is the reason I bought a corner house, so I only have one neighbor next to me.
It’s also why I mind my business.
Grass not cut: not my concern.
Numbers on your mailbox the wrong color and size: not my concern.
Trash cans taken out an hour too early: not my concern.
Car parked in front of my house that’s not mine: not my concern… but I do hate that! That spot is for my house. Yes I own that spot, LOL.
As always, and just like her others, I enjoyed this book written by JR “Mfkn” Mason. I especially love the humor, dark and in appropriate at times, but just how I like it. I wish this was a full novel, or at least give us a book 2… hint hint. 😀

I cannot believe it took me this long to pick up How to Kill Your Neighbors!
Dark, wickedly funny, and packed with sharp satire, this book had me laughing from start to finish.
J.R. Mason created characters I couldn’t get enough of—especially the wonderfully obnoxious neighbor, Linda. Watching everyone completely spiral was pure entertainment.
Honestly, it felt a little too relatable to real life (no names mentioned, but if you know, you know!). 👀🤐
The story was so twisted and addictive I couldn’t put it down. If the rest of this series is even half as entertaining as the first book, I’m ALL IN!

I should be ashamed of myself the way I hollered throughout this entire read. The characters that lived on this street were a mess, but that damn Linda! 😤 She needed to sat down somewhere and get her some business! 👀 The citations, critiquing and calling out behaviors in a newsletter was bold as hell! Yeah, she needs to go. 🤷🏿♀️ When details began to emerge about what happened, I was stunned a lil' bit. Miss Raya is bout that life, but why did they get Gabby's scary ass involved? Well......

LOVED this little novella so much! It’s got humor, spice and suspense. You cannot go wrong with this one. I’ll be patiently waiting for this to be turned into a TV series. Bravo JR Mason!!

J.R. Mason knew exactly what they were doing with How to Kill Your Neighbors (and Get Away with It) because this novella was pure entertainment from beginning to end.
If you’re looking for a thriller that’s dark, witty, fast-paced, and doesn’t take itself too seriously, this is it.
The humor caught me off guard in the best way. I found myself laughing one minute and wondering, “What is this woman about to do next?” the next. The main character’s narration kept me completely invested, and the audiobook elevated the experience even more.
One of my favorite things about this novella is that it never overstays its welcome. At just over 100 pages, it’s the perfect palate cleanser between heavier reads or the ideal book to knock out in one sitting.
The pacing is quick, the neighborhood drama is completely over the top, and the ending left me hoping this isn’t the last time we visit these characters.

This short thriller was entertaining, and funny. We follow the FMC who’s a writer living in a messy, chaotic neighborhood, complete with an irritating neighbor who gets on everyone’s last nerve.
The audiobook was amazing. J. R. Mason narrates it herself, and she absolutely did an amazing job. The different character voices, the background sound effects, just added so much to the experience and made the story even more immersive.

The fact that I just learned about this author is INSANE!!!! This book was AMAZING!! AND THE AUDIOOOO?!?!?!? PHENOMENAL!! I found out this author did her own audio for this series and I was here for it all! The sound effects made me feel like I was actually there with the characters. It was so realistic that I genuinely felt like I was a neighbor myself watching it all unfold. Like “Why ain’t nobody tell me when I live right across the street?!” LOL. Very steady paced book with such fast paced action. I will be continuing this series!

Lindaaaaaaaaa😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 When I say Linda had bars for DAYS! A dark comedy mystery indeed. This book had me ctfu the entire time. I loved the snark that Linda bought to the story although I wouldn’t want to be her neighbor.

This novella was everything I needed. A whodunnit blended with humor, and crazy twists?! I was hooked from the very first sentence. This took a turn I wasn’t expecting, but it made me love this even more. Since this is a novella, I don’t want to say too much, but I highly recommend if you’re looking for something fast paced and laugh out loud funny.

Not Toni LaRue being a police chief in this book lol. This was a crazy ride on having pesky neighbors. The way the person got away with it was cool to read. A few more needed to go in my opinion but that’s neither here nor there.

Haven’t we all fantasized about killing the neighbor from hell? No? Just me and JR Mason, okay that’s fine. This story is cute (if murder can be cute) funny and thoroughly entertaining. Miss Mason does a good job with the narration as well.

The acknowledgements made me write this review lol. This book was short and sweet. If you enjoy the show Desperate Housewives, this one gives off those vibes. A fun read for sure. I’ll definitely be reading the next two books in this series.

How to Kill Your Neighbor was a fast-paced, entertaining thriller that kept me hooked from beginning to end. The story was packed with twists, dark humor, and plenty of suspense, making it hard to put down. The characters were well-developed, and the author did a great job building tension while keeping the plot engaging and unpredictable. If you enjoy thrillers with clever storytelling and unexpected surprises, this is definitely a book worth adding to your reading list.

Let’s just be honest, I was looking for a foolproof way to get a neighbor or two off my hands prior to reading this book anyway. Book 1 of the 3 within the series did not disappoint with the delivery. I cannot wait to dive into the next two books just to see what’s new.
