A sexy, marriage of convenience, one night stand, British hero romance from bestselling author, Chelle Sloan.
GUIDE TO LOVE RULE #50: Love isn't always convenient. Sometimes marriage is. My name is Maeve Banks—Type A single mom; oldest daughter; and renowned interior designer for millionaire bachelors. And the new Mrs. Logan Matthews. The latter title is not something I wanted, but something I was forced to do. And for good My adorable six-year old son. The guide for my perfectly controlled life was No dating or distractions. Focus on my son and my business. Everything was going to plan until the night Logan Matthews—one of the world's youngest, and most eligible billionaires—sits down next to me at an airport bar. He distracted me with his perfect smile and chiseled jaw line. His British accent didn’t hurt either. When he asked me to dance? I was a goner. But it was one night. No harm in a little fun, right? Wrong. Turns out my one-night of fun is now my newest client. Which is fine. I'm an adult. I can resist his charm. And that he's great with my son. Or when he calls me "love.” But as much as both of us make it look like we have our lives in order, they're anything but. So Logan offers me a proposal—the one where we get married as a temporary fix to both our problems. My ex-husband is fighting for custody of my son. And Logan needs a wife to give the media something to talk about. It's a marriage of convenience. Nothing more, nothing less. There's just one I think I'm falling in love with my husband. And there's no guide to love for that
Known for her witty sense of humor, Chelle Sloan is a former sports reporter who recently completed her master's degree in journalism, and is now putting that to good use — one happily ever after at a time.
An Ohio native, she’s fiercely loyal to Cleveland sports, is the owner of way too many — yet not enough — tumblers and will be a New Kids on the Block fan until the day she dies. She does her best writing at Panera, or any place that's not her office. Oh, and yes, you probably saw her on TikTok.
As for her own happily every after? Maybe one day...
I have only read a few one night stand books, but I liked the spin that Chelle put on this one. Not only was it a one night stand but now the MC is the FMC's client for work. Plot twist. This was a very enjoyable read for me. I liked the dynamic between Logan (MC) and Maeve (FMC). I liked how she was kind of a grump but around him she felt different. He helped calm her vibes and center her. I loved how strong Maeve was. She is superwoman- running her own business while being a single mom *check.* The chemistry between these two was wonderful. I like it when authors give you a glimpse of the characters together and then say nevermine- we're going to reel that back a bit! It added a playfulness to the book that I enjoyed. I liked the Logan was all in and was just waiting for Maeve to catch up. I also liked the added layer of a marriage of convenience because when the man says my wife- YUM!
Maeve likes being in control. She likes timelines and schedules. What she doesn't like are when things go unplanned. Like her plane being delayed. Like not being able to get a hotel room. But she isn't minding this hot man speaking to her at the bar with an English accent. She in fact minds it so little that she throws out all of her rules about men and gives in for the night. It's one night. It's amazing. But in the morning he leaves. She will never see him again. Until she does. On the plane and then as her new client. The client that could literally put her on the map and expand her dreams for her business. But there has to be a line drawn. They are a client and the employer. That is all. But then why can she not stop thinking about him? And why is it when life throws her a curveball she goes to him for a solution. And what a solution it is. She is now Mrs. Logan Matthews. Her and her son Jayce are moving in with him. She is living with a billionaire who is making her want to throw out all of her rules of client and employer. So she does. She goes for it. She doesn't want to have regrets. But then her past comes back to haunt her and she thinks the worst might be about to happen. She hopes that Logan will be there to catch her if she falls.
Logan is having "writer's block." He hasn't got a new game idea to save his life. Which is why his best friend and PR rep have been setting him up with fake dates for months. But now he is at a bar with a beautiful woman at his side. And can't help but feel this REAL connection between them. He pursues her and has the best night he has had in a long time. But then reality comes back in. She is gone. But fate seems to be on his side because not only is she on the plane next to him, she is also the interior designer that he wants to hire for his new house. He can't stop thinking about her and what they shared. It comes as no surprise though when lines are drawn. No funny business. Only work. That's fine- he is in it for the long haul. So when she needs help with the unexpected- her proposes. He drops everything to help her. He wants her to see how much she means to him and that he would do anything for her. He knows what he wants for the future- he just needs her to catch up. But then her past comes back to bite them. And he has this feeling that he will do literally anything to make her not hurt. Because even though this relationship started off fake- it is anything but now.
I liked the banter between these two. This is random but I liked the chapter titles- the rules of love. This was just an overall easy read for me! I would definitely recommend it and am intrigued enough to read the first book and future books.
Thank you to Valentine PR and Chelle for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
Aaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Ok. This book. I have not highlighted a book so much in a long time! This book was amazing!! I think it can be hard to go into a sequel book when the first book was so stellar, because you want the sequel to be equally stellar, and it can be hard to not hold it to those expectations. BUT this book lived up to those expectations EASILY!! I fully forgot a few times that this was a sequel! I just fell in love with these characters so quickly!! Maeve was such an amazing character, and getting to see such a strong, driven, and very real single mom like her was so beautiful and I felt like she was such a perfectly raw and wonderfully real character! I also loved getting glimpses of her mom intuition and how she fought so hard for her son and her family all throughout the story! And I really need to know where one can order a Logan?? Because he was everything you could possibly want in a nerdy, swoony, billionaire MMC!! These two had such a beautiful connection and seeing how they grew together and learned together was so wonderfully written, and I could not love this story any more!! I cannot wait for more of the Banks siblings!! Chelle could inject the series directly into my veins and I'd die a happy woman!!! 5 stars; 3.5 chili peppers
Tropes: - One Night Stand - Marriage of Convenience - "My Wife" - Single Mom - Reverse Age Gap - Black Cat x Golden Retriever
This book is perfect. If you want a book that feels like your favorite comfort movie, then read this one/ I absolutely love marriage of convenience but when you make him British, make him a Billionaire and make him a cute gamer in glasses... RIP me, I no longer. I am a puddle on the ground.
Maeve and Logan are the absolute best pairing and the tension between them is explosive from the minute they sit next to each other in an airport bar and he calls her "Love." Maeve is a type A single mom who has a one night stand with a hot man in an airport only to find out he is her newest interior design client, and a gamer billionaire.
Logan is smitten from the moment he meets Meave and is not afraid to show it, so when she needs a husband in order to keep her child, this man is EAGER to volunteer. I love a marriage of convenience where it's not fake for one of them at all, and Logan was all in whatever it took.
I loved them so much, the spice was timed perfectly and scorching hot, and honestly there is a office/phone call scene that is literally one of my favorite things ever.
I love this series, I love this family and I absolutely cannot wait for the next book.
As an eldest daughter, who has often prioritized other people‘s happiness over my own as I ensure everyone else is taken care of, that all of the family’s problems are handled, and my mildly bossy and very organized personality takes the wheel, I so relate to Maeve, which is probably why I couldn’t have loved this book more.
You can totally read this story as a standalone, but I cannot express strongly enough how good this series is, and if nothing else, promise me you’ll go back and read A Runaway Bride’s Guide to Love to get Maeve‘s sister. Stella‘s story. Pinky swear, ok?
Ok. Back to this book, which you’ll love if you love:
🩵Single mom 🩵Billionaire w/ a heart of gold (and a filthy mouth) 🩵Slow-burn after one-night of flaming heat 🩵Marriage of convenience 🩵MCs who will steal your heart in so many ways
In short:
Maeve meets Logan in an airport bar. Flights are grounded. They spend one hot night together and she sneaks out only to find him on her flight back to Nashville — and learns he’s a gaming billionaire who just moved there AND is her new interior design client. Though they agree to leave their past in the past, when drama crops up with her ex-husband and his new wife, Logan suggests getting married to help with his rep and her custody situation. As you do. 😉
My take:
I am new to Chelle’s work — this series is my first from her. But I have fallen for her characters and writing style fast and hard (that’s what she said). I adore this world she’s built and in this story especially, just adored the amazing combination of banter, spice, emotion and humor.
Can’t wait for what’s next and can’t thank Chelle and VPR enough for this arc!
Alright these two, their airport meet-cute! Man, that’s how I wish it’d happen for me. I loved the slight age gap and our MCs lust right from the start. The fact that he hid his billionaire status to create a sense of calm for them both was so priceless.
I thought book one was witty and engaging but this one had he hooked even more. I’m a sucker for the single parent trope and loved these two right from the start.
A very fun loving story with witty banter, sexy nerds and single parent tropes that give us all the cute unfiltered kid talk I adore.
A few of my favorite guide to love rules:
#3 Picking up a man from the bar is never a good idea. But a bar at the airport doesn’t count because airports are lawless societies.
#14 A man who is good with children is instantly hotter. Those are just the rules.
#90 Flowers are nice. Jewelry is fine. But a man who sends you dinner? He’s a keeper.
#101 If you want complete, brutal honesty about anything, ask a child. Even if it regards your love life.

Tropes: British Billionaire Reverse Age Gap Marriage of Convenience Single Mom He Falls First
Audiobook Review This was the adorable romcom I didn’t know I needed. I typically read dark romance but here recently I have tumbled pretty far into the darkness and needed to give my psyche a break. So I decided to apply for this ALC and when I got it, I jumped right in. Now normally, I find these lovey-dovey books kinda cheesy but this one hit perfectly. I giggled out loud… and don’t get me started on the swooning. Both narrators were new to me but they were perfect as Mav and Logan. This audio is told in Dual Style, which I’m trying to get more familiar with. I’m so glad I did because the voice actors did an amazing job and soon I forgot they voicing for each other.
This is my first Reverse Age Gap romance and let me just say, it’s the trope I never knew I wanted 😮💨🔥 For crying out loud, I have been missing out. I loved that our FMC Mav, was a black cat who was being adored by a hot British golden retriever. Everything about this book was cute and hot! But the most important thing, it was believable. The issues with the co-parenting and having a career block, everything. The banter with the siblings was pure 🤌✨
Do I recommend? YES!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Maeve is a caretaker, she puts everyone else's needs before her own and that is just how she is as the eldest daughter in her family. When this woman lets loose she really goes for it, but I don’t know if anyone could have resisted Logan. Logan is a self made billionaire, he created one of the most popular games in the world, but this man is so chill and laid back you wouldn’t it. I love him.
Logan and Maeve are perfect for each other. Logan knew what Maeve needed from the moment they met. Though it took Maeve a little longer to warm up to Logan she gave him something that really no one else ever had. These two have off the chart chemistry, great banter, and so much love for each other. I couldn’t get enough of them and I didn’t want their story to end.
Jayce…how can you not love the kid? He is just pure joy. I love how he just wants his mom to be happy and smile.
If you’re looking for a single mom, marriage of convenience, billionaire, age gap romance check this one out.
This was One.Hot.Read. Have a glass of ice water or a shot ready. And then throw.in all the fun characters we love and the sibling text banter is hilarious! We also get to meet some new characters that are so much fun.
Does the perfect man exist? If a book boyfriend counts, then Logan Matthews is certainly a contender.
Single mom and in-demand interior designer to Nashville’s d0uchebro bachelors, Maeve is hours from returning home to her son after a longer than planned work trip when weather thwarts her well laid plans. Stuck cooling her heels in a posh sky lounge, she’s entertaining long denied carnal thoughts as a Henry Cavill-esque hottie commands her attention.
After a too brief night spent with the most intriguing woman he’d ever met, video game creator Logan is certain he’s found the one he’s meant to be with, but the elusive beauty creeps out in the wee hours of their night together, only to be seated next to him on their flight home.
Maeve has spent years denying herself any kind of relationship with someone of the opposite sex, choosing to focus on her son and providing for him while coparenting with her ex husband.
Maeve is shocked to come face to face with her newest client - and her one night stand.
While Maeve tries desperately to keep things strictly business, a broadside from her ex has Logan offering to marry her to keep her custodial arrangements.
How long before she gives in to the temptation of a hot genius who happens to be wild about Maeve and her son?
Another wonderful romance from Chelle Sloan. Logan is beyond endearing, and Maeve deserves all the spoils of their relationship.
I was very fortunate to have received an advance reader copy from the author and Valentine PR, and I’m pleased to share my enthusiastic recommendation.
ARC REVIEW Thank you, Valentine PR and chelle solan for the arc copy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Mother Maeve Era Has Arrived
Chelle Sloan really delivered with Single Mom’s Guide to Love, and let me tell you—I have been waiting for Maeve’s story. As the eldest sibling, eldest grandchild, and certified queen of putting everyone else first, Maeve is so relatable. And as a fellow oldest daughter? This book hit home.
Maeve has spent her whole life taking care of others, especially her son Jayce, and never really putting herself first. Enter Logan, a gaming billionaire (yes, I judged him too, but stay with me) who comes in and is like “Hey bestie, you deserve nice things too.” I was skeptical because the billionaire trope is not my thing, but Chelle flipped the script on this one. Logan isn’t some cold, emotionally detached, money-throwing cliché—he’s actually perfect for Maeve. He sees how much she loves Jayce and respects it, rather than trying to bulldoze his way into their lives. And the way he protects their little world?? Sir, I’m free on Thursday.
The banter?? Top-tier. The pop culture references?? A+ (Dolly Parton and a sneaky Taylor Swift nod? Say less). And the cameos from past characters?? I squealed when Simon showed up, because that man is ICONIC.
You can totally read this book as a standalone, but once you get a taste of Chelle’s writing, you’re gonna wanna binge the whole interconnected universe. If you love: ✔️ Single Mom romance ✔️ Grumpy-but-soft billionaire love interests ✔️ Slow-burn tension that makes you feral ✔️ A main character who deserves the world and finally gets it
…then Single Mom’s Guide to Love is for you. Maeve, my beloved, you finally got the love story you deserve.
4.75⭐️ | 3🌶 this is one of those books you pick up on a whim and are pleasantly surprised by. i really liked this one. i see a a lot of myself in Maeve and I loved her strong personality. She's fierce, loyal, loving. And Logan. Sweet Logan. Now that is book husband. He was attentive, loving, protective despite his upbringing. His bond with Jayce was so sweet. Now, Josh and Vivian... them I have some words about. I detested Vivian from the start and while, i was indifferent to Josh at the beginning, that feeling fluctuated. It was difficult for me to actually like him despite what he's been through, but anyway. I LOVED the Banks family. Every one of them. I'll definitely be continuing the series. And Kat, i hope we see her get her own story. I love her! Thank you to valentine pr for this arc.
I absolutely Loved this . From beginning to end , we love a British man , and we love a Reverse Grumpy x sunshine it was absolutely perfect ! The banter ? Just comedic , I laughed so many times throughout this book , and the background characters are my absolute fave , they all play apart in the plot just by being individually themselves. I cannot wait to read the first book bc wow . I am genuinely pleased I have no doubt I'll love it just as much from already what I've been told . ✨⭐

4.5 ⭐️ Why you’ll love this book!! ♥️ Single Mom 💍 Billionaire Romance ♥️ Marriage Of Convenience 💍 Black Cat & Golden Retriever ♥️ He Falls First 💍 British Hero ♥️ Close Proximity 💍 Reverse Age Gap
Loved guide to love #3 was hooked from there!! Maeve is an amazing interior designer and single mom ..While traveling for job she meets a man at the airport bar.. When she hears his voice she is hooked I am mean who isn’t with a British accent I love what she calls her self when she hear British accents lol..When the flight gets cancelled they have a great time..I let you read the rest this book did not disappoint I am sucker for single parent at this point rooting for them!!
This book had me feeling a million things. From the dedication, I knew this book was going to be a good one. There was not a boring moment in this book! One minute I was cheesing so hard, and the next I was gasping out loud. There were quite a few twists that I didn't see coming. I had to run to my sister to tell her what was happening because I NEEDED to talk about the plot with someone. It was just that good! I binge read this book in one day, and I loved every second of it.
Maeve was a wonderful FMC. She had so many facets to her character, and I really loved her journey. She was such a strong, wonderful character. Maeve started out as a huge people pleaser, at times self-depcrecating. She really struggled with balancing all the aspects of her life while still taking time for herself and not feeling guilty about it. I loved watching her learn to take those moments for herself, go for her dreams, and fall in love.
And Logan?!! Omg, that man was so swoon-worthy. A billionaire, nerdy MMC that loves the FMC and her kid? Ahh! I loved how he took care of Maeve and Jayce. He was such a huge protector of both of them. Not only that, he also was a huge advocate for Maeve and her dreams. Ugh, I love that man so much.
Maeve and Logan had such a beautiful story. I loved them so much! This was actually my first book by Chelle Sloan, but it certainly won't be my last! Single Mom's Guide to Love is actually book 2 in the series, although it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I adored this book and the characters. I can't wait to read all the books in this series.
This book is perfect for you if you love:
Single Mom Age Gap Billionaire My Wife moments Marriage of Convenience
Tropes: single mom billionaire romance marriage of convivence He falls first reverse age gap Dual POV
I had the privilege of meeting Chelle Sloan last summer at an author event and so when she released Single Mom's Guide to Love, I knew I had to read it... and I'm so glad I did!
This book made me laugh at out, turned me on, pissed me off, and made my mom heart so happy! All the feelings! Maeve is a single mom, running her own interior design business, and the oldest daughter of 4 sisters (and an older brother, Simon would be mad if I didn't mention him). On a business trip, weather delaying her flight home, Maeve is approached by a James Bond looking stranger who ends up rocking her world that night. On getting home, Maeve is hit with her ex-husband asking for Primary custody and the stranger from the airport being her newest client. To things are complicated for Maeve is an understatement.
Logan is a billionaire who made his fortune on designing the #1 video game in the world. He finds Maeve absolutely beautiful and wishes their one night of passion wasn't the last time he would see her. Universe must be on his side because she drops Maeve into his lap as she's the designer his assistant has been contacting to decorate his new home. Logan is determined to play the long game and win Maeve's affections over.
I thought Logan and Maeve were fun! The banter between them was cute, the way Logan always had a diet coke ready for her... I'm glad there was not third act breakup. I'd been pissed. I also loved Maeve's sisters! Is there other Bank sibling books? I need to check that out......... but I think my favorite was how easy the relationship between Logan and Maeve's son was. As a mother/step mom myself, that was really the love story for me! *I hated Vivian- ready and find out who she is! lol
“we find each other and find the calm in the chaos.”
tropes📚 ~single mum ~marriage of convenience ~reverse age gap ~close proximity
plot💚 maeve and logan spend a night together, that’s all it was supposed to be… one night but now he’s her newest client. with an ex-husband wanting custody and the media causing problems, logan comes up with plan, get married. just one problem: is it still a marriage of convenience when you fall in love with your spouse?
thoughts💭 i absolutely love chelle’s work, her books are written with so many amazing quotes and swoon worthy moments that will have you giggling. i loved stella and emmett’s story (book 1) but there was just something about maeve and logan that was perfect. the instant connections, the way logan had fallen so fast and quick paired with the fact he would do anything to protect ‘his family’ made me fall in love with him. his character was really strong and i loved his protectiveness. i love how maeve slowly gave up her need for control and allowed herself to be open to loving logan for real. the connection logan had with little jayce as well was so adorable. i loved seeing them together, especially the last few chapters and epilogue. i liked the storyline with the custody battle and how that all played out and the small mysteries that the book had throughout. after reading this i’m excited for book 3, which i think will be quinn’s book 🤭
thank you so much chelle sloan and valentine PR for this amazing arc
After I read last year the 1st book of this series, ‘Runaway Bride's Guide to Love’, I needed to read this 2nd book😊. Thank you so, so much Chelle and Valentine Pr for accepting me for this early e-copy!
Maeve is a single mom, who founds herself trapped in an airport because of some delays caused by bad weather. There she was spotted by a younger man than her, who will sweep her off her feet. That man is Logan, a very successful game developer, who was entraced by Maeve’s beauty. From having a nice chat, they will end up having a one night stand, being sure that they won’t ever see each other again. Of course, that isn’t the case and soon Maeve will find out Logan had, in fact, omitted some things.
Because of some extremely sensitive situation, Maeve and Logan will end up planning a marriage of convenience, which will help Maeve with the case against her ex-husband, Josh, and also deflect a bit from Logan’s current blackout from work.
Logan had such a sweet relationship with Maeve’s kid, Jayce. They got along so well even from the beginning and that made Maeve’s heart explode with happiness. She was pretty afraid about how her kid will react to her sudden marriage but Logan was such a nice man, even Jayce couldn’t just love him too. Her whole family was super funny and I liked how they were always there for her but also making fun of each other. They really brought those good vibes feelings and tested Logan a bit!😅
An reversed age gap story which I really liked, having such a good time following this unexpected relationship and single mom story. Recommended as it was a super relaxing and fun read.
Mama Maeve was a great FMC. She was funny and real and I loved her POV. Logan was also fun. He had some great one liners. He was also gone from the first second her saw her. Oh! And he wears glasses!
Maeve needs a marriage to keep custody of her child and he wants her so he agrees and says it’s so he can distract the press. Their marriage is supposed to be for convenience only but Logan is ready and willing to also love her fully.
The extended epilogues in this series are all 10/10 But I would kill for a spin off series about the kids ! Like I was Jayce to have his own book and I want to see into the future that way ! Or you know. A book about Callum would be great too (this might exist and I’m just not paying attention)
The narrators on the audiobook were wonderful! I loved how well they got the sarcasm that both characters have down! It was great! It is a dual narration which I was very happy about! The woman who did Maeve I think is the same one that did Stella and she does a great southern accent!!
Quinn is still my favorite but I did love Maeve’s story!
Tropes: He fell first, touch her and d!e, marriage of convenience, single mom, billionaire MMC, nerdy MMC, one night stand turned into more, she works for him reluctantly, black cat/golden retriever, reverse age gap, “who did this”, “mine”
Here's a basic synopsis. Maeve and Logan meet at the airport bar, hit it off, and spend the night together. It was meant to be only one night, but fate had different intentions. I give you one ex-husband, one new client who happens to be your one-night stand, and a very beneficial pretend marriage, and the rest is history, as they say.
My internal thoughts loading in 1.2.3…… Okay, you know that feeling of excitement that you get when you continue reading a series because the first book was awesome. Yes, that is exactly what happened here. The second novel in the Single Moms series was equally fabulous as the first. Chelle Sloan is truly an amazing writer. She has incredible talent and is extremely funny. Single Mom’s Guide to Love was everything and more, just like the one before it, Runaway Brides Guide to Love.
One last thing: as the oldest daughter, this book stood out to me on so many levels, and the small blurb at the beginning was *chef's kiss, oldest daughters. I know you; I am you!
⚠️ I was gifted an ARC courtesy of ValentinePR and this is my honest review.
Maeve and Logan meet by chance at a hotel bar, expecting nothing more than a one night connection. But fate has other plans, soon they’re not only on the same flight but heading to the same destination. Things take an unexpected turn when Maeve discovers that Logan is actually her newest client. Though upset that he kept it from her, she agrees to take on the job, determined to keep things strictly professional. Logan, however, has no intention of sticking to business.
He quickly bonds with Maeve’s son and sets out to prove they could have something real. When a custody issue threatens Maeve’s stability, Logan proposes marriage to support her and show just how committed he is.
The narration by Amanda Stribling and Rupert Channing was spot on. Stribling perfectly captured Maeve’s strength and sweetness, while Channing brought Logan’s charm and flirtatious confidence to life.
This story is equal parts heartwarming and spicy, a great listen from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Thank you, Chelle Sloan and Valentine PR for the ALC.
Single Mom's Guide to Love follows Maeve, Stella's sister from book one and her marriage of convenience to British billionaire Logan. Maeve meets Logan on a business trip when all flights are cancelled due to weather. They spend the night together and she thinks that's it. She's surprised to see him on her flight back to Nashville. She learns the truth, that he's a tech billionaire that just moved to Nashville. She's even more surprised the next day when she shows up for a client consultation for her interior design company and learns that the new client is Logan himself. She decides to take him on as a client but they will not talk about their one night together and keep their relationship strictly professional. When some drama happens with her ex-husband and his new wife, Logan suggests getting married to help with his PR and her custody situation. Will their marriage turn out to be more than just a PR stunt?
I absolutely loved this book! I had such a hard time getting myself to stop reading at night because it was so good, and I just needed to know what happened next.
I really loved the main characters. As a mom, I relate to Maeve a lot. When Logan is purposely calling Maeve "Love", just to make her mad, he reminds me so much of my husband.
The book starts off with them being delayed at the airport because of a huge storm, and eventually having a one night stand, but after that it is a slow burn with a lot of tension.
It was a funny, serious, and sexy book. I had a lot of laughs because of the banter between the two main characters and Maeve's family group chats. There was also some drama that kept it interesting, and a few open door romance scenes that kept it spicy.
I really enjoyed everything about this book. I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series!
DnF for now. (So fucking wordy) Let me get this straight FmC meets MMC in an airplane bar they have a one night stand. The next morning, she sneaks out before he wakes. They somehow end up on the same flight, and she is snarky and rude. He realizes she is the interior designer he keeps blowing off, he secretly reschedules the appointment and gives her $50,000 for all the canceled appointments. At the appointments, she is snarky and judgemental while he says the sweetest things, apologized, and says he wanted to see her again. She declines the job and storms off because he lied. Soooo......Her and her sisters come up with a plan to milk him for as much money as possible, upcharging him, because he lied. (Wanting to see her again)😬😬 WTF
I’d love to this book. I’ve been with Chelle Sloan since the beginning and just love her writing. Logan and Maeve are amazing. A random meet turns into realizing they both are living in Nashville. She’s got this amazing family and Logan‘s just got a crazy past. I loved watching their relationship grow and slowly realizing that they really enjoyed each other than really needed each other. Maeve is just a mom trying to do what’s best for her son. Logan being the billionaire is struggling with his company and them wanting more out of him. He is so loyal and caring to her and her son. It was an amazing read!
Maeve is a single mom to her adorable little boy, oldest daughter, and a renowned interior designer, for billionaire bachelors. Fate destines Logan and Maeve to cross paths in an airport bar, only to find out he is her newest client. When Maeve’s ex-husband is fighting for custody of their son, Logan offers a mutually beneficial agreement. This is a well written easy to read, with family, friendships, emotions, marriage of convenience, close proximity, reverse age gap, humor, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, spicy, and sweet addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This book is amazing. Marriage of convenience is one of my favorite tropes and I adored this book. Maeve and Logan have the best chemistry and its present from the first interaction. I loved Logan and how he calls Maeve love. Also, him being British makes it ten times better. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more in this series. Thank you for my advance reader copy from the author and Valentine PR.
I had read book one in this series, and wanted to continue the series / stay in this world that Chelle has crafted.
Maeve's self-reliance and determination were qualities I appreciated. Her son was an adorable scene stealer, who was wise beyond his six year old self.
I appreciated that while Logan was a billionaire and could throw his money around to woo Maeve and solve her problems, that he didn't go crazy with it, and that his fame/money weren't a draw for Maeve in the relationship they built).
Super enjoyed her family and their text chats and just overall involvement (and meddling) this was one of my favorite elements in the story.
Great balance of storyline, steam, and conflict (outside sources) to keep this reader flipping the pages.
This was such a fun book! The rules were absolutely hilarious! This book was the prefect combination of sweet, hot and secrets. The banter was a great!
I loved Logan! So sweet and relaxed. He really was the best! The way he cared for Maeve was beyond great! Logan and Maeve were made for each other! Maeve deserved the very best!
I always love the billionaire/marriage of convenience/reverse age gap tropes and in this book they were executed fantastically!
