Rate this book
Graham Sadler prefers to keep his circle small and enjoys the quieter side of life. When an invitation arrives for his ex-girlfriend’s wedding, the only person he can see being his date is the vibrant woman he hasn’t stopped thinking about since their first meeting. The only problem? He doesn’t know how anyone will believe they’re together. Or how he can fake anything around her.

Quinn Jackson hasn’t had it easy, but that doesn’t stop her positive outlook on life and constant smile. After years on the move, she has finally opened her dream bakery and is starting to feel settled in the quaint fishing town of Sutton Bay. All is going well, until it isn’t, and she’s too independent to ask for help. Enter the shy, sweet man who’s intrigued her for months and makes an offer she can’t refuse.

The line between real and fake starts to blur when they realize opposites absolutely attract. Their lives quickly intertwine, and two very different people bring out the best in each other. But will those differences and the people from their past stand in the way of the beautiful life they both desperately deserve?

Okay, Just One Moment had its cute moments, but it wasn’t exactly the "OMG, I’m obsessed!" vibe I was hoping for. It’s giving "right book, wrong time," or maybe just "meh, I’ll probably forget it by tomorrow." 💬

Graham is this shy, glasses-wearing, cinnamon-roll of a guy who got his confidence wrecked by his ex. Honestly, his introverted, awkward energy in the beginning? LOVED IT. Quinn, on the other hand, is a human ray of sunshine who’s been through it but still radiates positive vibes. She’s unapologetically herself, and I loved how she balanced Graham out. Opposites attracting? Classic. But some parts felt a little too insta-everything for my taste.

Okay, let’s talk tropes because this book is serving:
✧ Small Town Romance 🏡
✧ Shy MMC x Sunshine FMC ☀️
✧ Fake Dating
(because what else?) 💘
✧ Forced Proximity 💗
✧ He Falls First 🥺
✧ Found Family
(LOVE this trope!) 💕

But here’s the thing: Graham’s shy, awkward charm didn’t last long enough, and when he suddenly turned into Mr. Dirty-Talk Extraordinaire, I was like, "Who is this man??" 👀 It didn’t feel true to the personality we were set up with, you know? Also, the pacing was... off. Some moments dragged while others felt rushed, like they skipped the build-up entirely.

Quinn was fun, though! Her bakery dreams, her independence, her whole vibe? Loved it. But I wish their chemistry had a slower burn instead of speeding to the finish line. And Graham’s journal entries? 🥹 HEARTBREAKING in the best way. I wanted more of that guy!

Overall, this wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either. A cute story with some missed opportunities. Will I keep reading the series? Maybe. Do I remember the dog’s name more than key plot points? Also yes. 🐶

Rating: 3.25 stars
CW: Past trauma, self-esteem struggles, and mentions of a toxic ex.

"If love had a sound. It would be your sweet laughter. Long after it ends."

Last month, a friend of mine asked for some childhood friends-to-lovers book recommendations, and I suggested Those Two Words (the first book of this series), even though I hadn’t read it yet. To my surprise, she loved it! So when I saw the opportunity to apply for the ARC of the second book, I jumped at the chance, and let me tell you, it was the best decision ever! This book has officially become my new obsession! It has exceeded all my expectations and is now my first Infinity Star book. I adored everything about it!

Graham—oh my gosh, where do I even begin? He is not perfect, but honestly, his imperfections make him perfect in my eyes. Normally, I relate more to the FMC, but this time, I felt a stronger connection with Graham. He is an introvert, a bit shy, and sometimes struggles to express his feelings. After a rough breakup, his confidence took a hit, and he often feels like he is not good enough.

"You were made to shine only, just as you are now. The world isn't right when you're sad, honey. It's like an eclipse. And you're the sun."

Quinn has had a tough childhood. At eighteen, she ran away from home to carve out her path. Even though she’s always been independent, when she moved to Sutton Bay, she finally found friends who supported her. I love how, despite her challenges, Quinn remains cheerful and spreads happiness to those around her.

The relationship between Graham and Quinn is just so sweet and heartfelt. I swooned over how Graham treats Quinn; the little things he does are unbelievably thoughtful. Even though he finds it hard to express his feelings, his love shines through in his actions. And Quinn? She’s so understanding—she knows it’s tough for him to open up, so she gives him the space he needs while always reminding him what an incredible guy he is, just as he is. At the same time, Graham makes sure she doesn’t feel alone, always supporting her and being the rock she can lean on.

"Just one moment is all it took. And every single moment after that has helped me realize I don't have to be someone different."

Their journey together is truly beautiful and touching. I cherished every moment! They complement each other so well. The journal entries, poems, and letters added such a lovely touch, and I got emotional reading them. The side characters are fantastic, and I’m excited to read their stories. Huge thanks to Ronnie Mathews and Love Note PR for this beautiful eARC! These characters and their story have found a special place in my heart, and I know I’ll be thinking about them for a long time.

"It's after meeting Quinn Jackson that I know why gray clouds and sunshine work so well together. When done right, they make something beautiful and rare. A rainbow."

Graham Sadler has my whole damn heart. As someone who is also an introvert and struggles to start conversations with new people, I could relate to his character and struggles so much. All that overthinking or coming off as uninterested when in truth he was just trying to figure out how to keep the conversation going. The way he was treated by his ex and the way their relationship ended had left a deep impact on Graham, which made him question everything about himself. Watching him constantly feel like he wasn't good enough for someone like Quinn broke my heart.

After being in such a toxic environment for years with her abusive mom, Quinn never had anyone in her corner. She'd done her best to come out of the shitty situation she was in and work on herself and her dreams. After being on the move for close to a decade, Sutton Bay felt like the place where she could finally find a sense of belonging. But there were times when the doubts would creep in, and she didn't have anyone to lean on. Despite being belittled for her appearances for so long, Quinn had taken years to learn to love her body the way it was, which was so admirable.

I truly loved the growth in Graham and Quinn's relationship from being fake to turning very real. Graham was a man of few words, but he said the sweetest things. Also, his actions. The flowers he got her, the date he planned, the birthday party, and every thoughtful little thing he did for her made me love him even more. Graham became her constant, her home, her rock. His words, actions, steady presence, and never-ending faith in her were the push she needed to take a chance on herself to dream bigger.

I loved how patient Quinn was with Graham, never rushing him, knowing that he sometimes needed his time to collect his thoughts before expressing himself. She gave him the space to slowly start being himself again without judgment or feeling like he was weird. This helped Graham start finding his confidence and hope again. The way Quinn was quick to defend and put people in their place for being bitchy to him was so satisfying to read. Quinn just knew exactly what Graham needed, even when he wasn't able to express it sometimes.

There was great growth in both characters as individuals, which was reflected in their relationship. They supported each other through everything but were also aware that they can't fix certain issues for the other, but that's a journey they'd have to be willing to take to figure out on their own. I liked that they had the conversation and took the difficult step so they could work on themselves and their trauma so they could do right by each other.

There's something about the quiet ones taking control in bed. 'Cause boy did Graham take control. Being with each other brought out something new and feral in Graham that he hadn't even realized he was into, spurred on by how responsive Quinn was. I liked that they both encouraged each other through some insecurities even when it came to intimacy.

The side characters were amazing, and watching the family get together was truly heartwarming. The way they also brought Quinn into their fold so seamlessly was so endearing, especially knowing how much that meant to her. I'm looking forward to the other siblings' books now.

Thank you to Ronnie Mathews and Love Notes PR for providing me with the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

this is the month of 3 star ratings i think

no one is surprised that i’m reading another random small town romance on kindle unlimited. this one is not as good as the first in the series but i still had a good time because the romance was pretty sweet.

quinn is very bubbly and i appreciated her character so much, happy characters make me feel like i should be happier. graham was very sweet also which is just amazing. i like when men also feel self doubt in books because it’s not realistic when women are the only characters to have insecurity’s. this book did go on for too long and that was my biggest problem with it. aside from the romance there wasn’t so huge plot to get to so the ending kinda dragged.

this series is really adorable and i love all the siblings so i am excited for florence and booth to get books. i’m totally just assuming they will, there’s been no announcements but i feel like we’re building up to that.

booth better be with this mystery owner btw…
and florence better be with dex…

THIS BOOK! I loved it so much. It was so good, omg. It was such a heartwarming, good for the soul, romance. It was low angst, high swoon and full of emotion and heartfelt moments.

Graham and Quinn’s love story, though unlikely, was perfect for them. They are exactly who they need and their journey was so beautiful. Ronnie had me tearing up on a Monday at lunch time. She has a special way with words; just like our Graham. He was such a wonderful man, thoughtful and kind with his gestures, working to better himself for Quinn. I loved her too; slowly but surely she accepted Graham’s help and it was lovely to see. She too helped Graham, broke down his walls, showing him that he has nothing to fear and she loved him, for him. They thrived together.

As always, a few memorable moments:
- Curly. I loved it when a pet is “grumpy” but almost immediately warms to the other character 😂
- The flowers 🥹🥹🥹
- His journaling. I loved the addition of the journal entries and wee poems. Such a special touch to show a piece of Graham’s personality and deliver is inner monologue.

Add to your tbr if you like:
- small town romance
- Shy MMC x sunshine FMC
- Small age gap (F26 / M33)
- Fake dating
- Forced proximity
- Opposites attract

Thank you to Ronnie and Love Notes PR for the opportunity to read and review early 🧡

from the second i was introduced to quinn and graham in those two words i knew i would love them as side characters then finding out that they would be each others love interest, i was SUPER excited because i love the shy guy and the complete opposite fmc and this book did not disappoint.

first of all, graham i would give you the world. would truly die for him and curly, i would sell my soul for him and quinn. this book took me THROUGH IT, Cried multiple times, losing my absolute mind over how adorable they were, how FREAKY they were 👀 listen its always the shy guys IM TELLING YOU.

just everything about this book was perfect. the way this was made for them to fake date but they ended up healing each other and their past traumas, loved each other genuinely in the most authentic and healthiest way. the way he wrote about her and described her??? I WANT A GRAHAM. when is it my turn.

one of my favorite books i’ve ever read.

i wanna reread for the first time all over again.

📖 Just One Moment by Ronnie Mathews
📚 book 2 • Sutton Bay series

⭐️: 5/5
🌶️: open door, several descriptive scenes

💭 overall thoughts:
Graham Sadler 😭 protect this man 😭- I love how Ronnie wrote him so much.

He’s a shy man, full of self doubt (thanks to an awful ex), and just a genuinely amazing guy (but don’t worry, he turns it on in the bedroom 😉).

Quinn is this sweet, bubbly baker, who’s had a ton of bad things happen in her life, yet somehow always finds the bright side.

They’re opposites in many ways, yet so well suited, bringing out the best in each other 🥰

Graham reminds me a lot of Jacob from Yours Truly (my favorite Abby Jimenez book) - he journals as well to express his emotions.

I loved seeing Patrick + Jo again (book 1), getting to know Booth (Graham’s brother), and meeting Florence (their sister). Definitely seeing some future pairings for the rest of the series, and I can’t wait!

I am an emotional wreck. Graham and Quinn’s story was so beautiful, all I want to do is be able to read it for the first time all over again.

Graham is the sweetest man alive, but him being so unsure of himself broke my heart. He couldn’t understand how anyone was capable of loving him. Clearly me crying and telling him I loved him just wasn’t enough 🤷‍♀️ I wanted to wrap him in bubble wrap so no one could ever hurt him again. I loved reading his journal entries, it made me fall more and more in love with him (which wasn’t exactly difficult considering he was already perfect).

From the moment he saw Quinn that man was a goner. He fell and he fell hard. To watch their relationship flourish was something truly amazing. When they say opposites attract THIS is what they mean. ‘Sunshine and rain clouds’ ☀️🌧️

Quinn was bright and bubbly and I want to be her best friend. After reading about her childhood there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that she had finally found the place she was meant to be.

I love a small town romance and I think Sutton bay is my new favourite place to call home. I can’t put into words how much I adore this book. I don’t normally cry at books but this one, god this one made me a blubbering mess one that I would gladly relive forever.

ARC review. I ate this book right up, I couldn’t stop reading it! It’s a beautiful story and the writing honestly blew me away. Ronnie- you got me good with this one since I rarely cry when reading books unless they emotionally get to me like this one did.

Nothing I can say would give this book justice. Graham is literally one of the sweetest MMCs I’ve ever read. Who knew a shy, caring and loyal man could be so damn hot and talk dirty. His confidence in the bedroom was hot and the way Quinn encouraged him was even better. They are so good together, they love hard and it wasn’t always a smooth ride but they ended up where they were suppose to be. Quinn struggled with her body image a bit because of her childhood, her mom was awful and Graham made her feel beautiful and desired and it warmed my heart so much.

Graham is shy and introverted and doubted and was hard on himself a lot through this book because of his terrible EX who did a number on him. Quinn saw him for the special man he is and made him feel like it. Their love story is one for the books! They both grew together and it was a sight to see. The spice was spicing and that desk scene…. Yassssss girl get it! They both certainly did.

I loved this book so much and now I’m sad that it’s over and I have to wait again for the next book in the series.

Ronnie- you fucking killed it! 😮‍💨🫡

Please protect Graham and Quinn at all costs.
These characters are so real, so raw, so relatable.

Graham is that shy, nerdy guy who struggles to express his emotions. So he writes. And damn if his thoughts aren’t beautiful. He doesn't think anyone can love him after his last relationship.

Quinn is that friendly, sunshine girl who wants to be appreciated by everyone. So she gives. And damn if her selfless heart isn’t beautiful. She never been loved and wants nothing more.

I loved the first book, but this one particularly touched me. I absolutely adored the communication between the characters, the way they gradually discover each other, the way their love language completes each other. They found in each other their missing half.

This read was so cozy. In Sutton Bay, I found the kind of character I love, and a new comfort place.

I think 2025 is my small town era and I’m here for it!

First things first Ronnie crushed it as expected!!!

I usually never relate to the mmc for many reasons but as the resident introvert who would blend into the wall if she could, I LOVED Grant!

From their initial interaction in the bar I just knew Graham and Quinn were going to steal my heart. When Graham first met Quinn he fell……..and fell hard! It’s very rare that the mmc is the vulnerable one and I loved that Quinn little by little broke down Grahams walls and get him to open up about his past and help him move forward in trusting people and letting his guard down.

I cannot get enough of the two of them, they each have their own issues and they still work towards helping the other resolve their issues. Quinn is such a ball of sunshine you would never know how much she struggles with body issues and issues from her past and Graham makes it his goal to show her how important and worthy she is.

I truly loved this book, I laughed, I cried, I clutched my pearls. Be prepared because the healing in this book will have you in tears!

Thank you Love Notes PR for a chance to review this book for my honest opinion!

*4.5

This was just so sweet. Graham was so obsessed with Quinn and he had no idea how to show it. It was cute that he walked away from their interactions thinking that he had messed it up. The little poems that he wrote for her every night since they met!!!!! The fake dating was so dumb but it was the only way these two were ever going to admit their feelings.

I received an arc from love notes pr.

What can I say, I absolutely LOVED this book! ❤️

Apart from the fact that this is a perfect, swoon-worthy small town romance, the story of Graham and Quinn also shows the path to loving yourself as you are while letting go of ‘demons’ of the past. The way Ronnie wrote their stories with such respect and care, it was just perfect.

I love how Quinn accepts herself and shows everyone around her that they are perfect just the way they are. I love how introverted and shy Graham is (and there were definitely parts of him I recognize in myself).

This was such a fun, heartwarming read. I enjoyed myself so much and I am sad I’ve finished it and have to wait for the next one. Which I’m already excited for!!

Here’s what you get in Just One Moment:

✨ Small Town
✨ Fake Dating
✨ Shy MMC x Sunshine FMC
✨ He Falls First
✨ Forced Proximity
✨ Found Family
✨ Spice > 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

Some of my favorite parts:
“Find the people who love you for exactly who you are. And remember to love yourself.” > love this dedication!

“You must be Graham. Jo said you weren’t much of a talker. And well, I am. Sorry not sorry.” She shrugs, her smile not faltering. “I’m Quinn.”
The angel has a name. Quinn.

She wasn’t wrong - she loves to talk and I’m a little lost, but it simply adds to her charm. I could listen to her all night.

Brushing my free hand on my apron, I nod toward the dog. “What’s your wiener caller?” Our eyes widen at the same time, because I absolutely hear how that sounds. “What’s your sausage called? Oh my god, that’s worse. Your dog.”

I’m a people pleaser down to my core and I desperately want everyone to like me. > girl, I can relate.

“I think you’re full of shit.”
“That’s not how a gentleman talks.”
“Never claimed to be one.”

“It’s your body and you’re allowed to make whatever comments you want about it. But for what it’s worth… I think you’re fucking perfect.”

I don’t think that man knows what a snack he is, which is a crime.

“Just one moment, Quinn. That’s all it took for me to know that I want to spend the rest of my days showing you how beautiful we can be.”

I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Ronnie, for giving me this opportunity, I’m so grateful!

I fell in love in love with Patrick when I read book 1 of the Sutton Bay books, but Graham Cracker, you destroyed everything I knew and believed. Ronnie, where do you come up with these wonderful characters? I cried for, I think the last few chapters!

Graham and Quinn's story is not just a love story. It's a story of self-discovery and healing from deep wounds that have been left by people that were supposed to love you and have left deep scars. They started to fake date for an event, but the way this fake relationship turned into something more and helped heal one other was really something else to witness. And boy, I did not expect Graham to be so vocal about his... needs.

Graham is such a sweet man, and his confidence was destroyed by his ex girlfriend. And to see him so broken and unsure towards the smallest things, made my heart ache. Every doubt, every second thought, gives you a really good idea that people can be so reckless with words and can hurt with the smallest comment.
Quinn is his polar opposite, always so shiny and bubbly and seeing them interact the first time at the bar was panfully obvious they were going to be so good together. Graham fell in love right away. You could have noticed the moment you read this part in Those Two Words, even if we saw the scene the first time through Patrick's eyes.

Overall, this is one of the best novel I've read in a while. Ronnie Matthews is able to depict the most crippling feelings - I'm thinking about Johanna in book 1 - and make you feel like you were living them yourself. But also, the way she writes her characters journey to healing and getting better is one of the best written I have ever read.

I am so so happy I decided to ask for an ARC of this novel, I couldn't have discovered a more interesting and beautifully written book. The lives and stories and characters who live in Sutton Bay are wonderful, and you finish each book thinking you need to be part of their family because they are such close knit and loving and supporting of one another.

Ronnie, the woman you are.

“Those Two Words”, the first book in this series, touched a part of my soul I didn’t even know existed. I truly believed nothing could top that — until I read “Just One Moment.”

This book healed a piece of me I didn’t realize needed healing. It felt like a warm, comforting hug at exactly the moment I needed it most.

Quinn is me, and I am her. Her insecurities, her fears, the way she handles life — seriously, could I relate more? I don’t think so. She’s the kind of character that feels so real it’s hard to accept she doesn’t actually exist. Her sunshine spirit wrapped around a wounded soul was everything. I’m still overwhelmed with emotion thinking about how she finally found not just love, but a family — one that shows her what she’s always deserved: to be loved unconditionally.

And if Quinn was everything, Graham was her perfect counterpart. I adore him. He is the boyfriend. His shy, introverted nature was such a refreshing take on a male main character. And his mouth? That dirty talk?? Sir, please — I am deceased. His anxiety, his point of view, his every scene was beautifully written. Poetic, even. Absolutely mesmerizing.

The writing? Phenomenal. It’s hard to believe this is only Ronnie’s second book. The people in this story feel so real, I could swear I was reading about someone I know — a best friend, even.

Quinn and Graham will stay with me always. Finishing their story felt like saying goodbye to someone I love deeply. I already know this series will be one of the hardest farewells I’ll ever have to make when the time comes.

✨Just One Moment by Ronnie Matthews is a stunning, emotionally charged novel that captures the beauty and fragility of life’s fleeting moments. Matthews delivers a deeply moving story with relatable characters, heartfelt emotions, and a message that stays with you long after you turn the final page.🫶🏽

🤭Graham being super introverted and very shy and Quinn being a bundle of sunshine ☀️both of them are beautifully written with their vulnerabilities and triumphs creating a journey that feels personal and profound. I absolutely loved them together! The chemistry they both had was fire!🔥 Shy Graham with a dirty mouth 🥵

Their growth throughout the story is both inspiring and authentic, making it impossible not to root for them. 🥹With Graham UGH I deeply resonated with him when it came to emotions and keeping to ones self. I couldn’t help but want to just hug him. ❤️‍🩹It warmed my heart! Both of them went through so much I appreciated them being there for each other.

💕This novel is amazingly crafted that’s equal parts heartwarming and heartrending—a must-read for fans of emotional, character-driven fiction.🙌🏽

i honestly didn’t think i was going to love this book as much as i did but omggg!! Graham and Quinn are my favorite couple so far this year!!

i know i say “___ is THE book boyfriend” but GRAHAM THE REAL REAL DREAM BOYFRIEND !! he was really quiet and reserved but he BLOOMED with Quinn!! His love language being gift giving too??? 😚👌🏻👌🏻 ugh i love graham. he was the sweetest MMC ever! it was so great seeing a different kind of MMC from the normal alpha male stereotype. if he was REAL REAL, idk what or who i have to do to get an appointment to talk to him but i NEED HIM TO KNOW HOW MUCH HE IS LOVED!! 😭 i criED FOR HIM 😭 mY BABY

and Quinn. the actual definition of sunshine! i love her so much and despite everything she went through, she still radiates so much positivity!! she was so funny! i loved her flirty bantering and with Graham being SOOO SHY made it all the better 🤣😭

Award to the first author to make me cry happy tears or tears of cuteness - it goes to you friend 🤣

Words can’t describe how much I love this book. It is the sweetest book I’ve ever read. And one of the most emotional? Maybe cuz certain boxes hit home but dangggg girl, what’s in this one?!

Graham is the most adorable and perfect little cutie bean there ever was. That cpa certified, fogged up glasses, wrapped in a wool sweater, dog daddy, hottie stole my heart. We meet him as he just went through/goes through a hash breakup with she who shall not be named. This left him feeling unsteady and rocked his confidence.

We meet Quinn, who is a quirky ball of absolute sunshine, as she is running her bakery in town and staying in her van.

Fate intervenes and these two decide they can help each other. Quinn needs a place to stay after rats invade her van and some accounting help while Graham needs a date to his ex’s wedding to… here’s the kicker… his mf cousin. (I’d go as his date, to fulll blown red wedding this b i t c h 🙄

Fake dating. A tale as old as time 🥹

UGH it was so good. It was sweet and hot and emotional. Each of these characters have such depth to them.

Ronnie, I love you and your characters and this series. I could not be more proud of you friend! 🥹

Counting down the seconds till you give us the next one 😚 I’m (im)patiently waiting for you know whooooo 😏

I started this yesterday and completely devoured it—I could not put it down. Everything about this book made me feel so many things on such a visceral level. I haven’t connected with an FMC like Quinn in such a long time, and Graham? 🥹 Let’s just say I want to give them both the biggest hugs. The way he writes about Quinn in his journal… ugh, my heart is still recovering. 💔💖

Just One Moment is book 2 in the small-town standalone interconnected Sutton Bay Series by Ronnie Mathews — and let me tell you, this series is peak autumn cozy romance energy. I have zero regrets about finishing it so quickly.

And can we take one quiet moment to appreciate THAT DESK SCENE… iykyk 😏🔥

Everything about this book wrecked me in the best possible way. Every single page delivered!

✨ fake dating
🏡 small town
💘 he falls first
🛏 forced proximity
🖤 found family

If you love these tropes then run to Sutton Bay. I’m already loading up book 3 because the side characters are elite and I refuse to rest until every single one gets their HEA.

This book has so much crack in it, it's unbelievable. It's addicting for two main reasons. One- the perfect book boyfriend and Two - the perfect romance. Graham is one of a kind, his social anxiety stops him from being outgoing and talkative but when he does speak his words are so thoughtful and romantic. Even though he doesn't say a lot of his words, his actions speak so loudly. He listens intently to Quinn and finds ways to make her life better/easier and to put a smile on her face. He's also a gentleman who is masculine; she shuts off her mind around him and just talks or admire her surroundings and trust him to guide her. And did I mention he was perfect? But sadly, you can't have beauty without pain. One of the main reasons for his social anxiety and self - doubt is his ex-girlfriend. It is so beautiful seeing him become a more confident man with Quinn's love. In return he pushes Quinn to accept love and help and that she's worthy of it. My favorite thing about their love story is that it pushes them to learn how to love themselves. It's so beautiful that someone can see the beauty in you even if you don't see it.

Thank you luna loves notes pr and Ronnie Mathews for this Arc.

This is the second book I read by Ronnie, which means that at this point I’ve read all her books, and I have to say I’m damn proud of that! I love her style of writing and I love how she makes her characters look so realistic and natural.
This book in particular follows the story between Graham and Quinn, and I think that these two are soo great together. I love how the story goes on from start to finish. I love how Graham is portrayed and I have to say that he surprised me good. As for Quinn, firstly she is a great friend for Graham and secondly she knows exactly how to support him and lift him up as he needs it. This is a small town romance and obviously this is my favorite trope so far! 😻 Go and grab this book if you like what I’m saying so far!😊
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and hopefully it will be even greater than this one, because so far Ronnie has written only great books! ❤️🤩

4.5 ⭐️

This is the second book in the Sutton Bay series, but you do not need to read in order to follow along. But I enjoyed Ronnie's debut romance so much!

In 2025, I want to read more books with men who yearn, and Graham Sadler is a man who YEARNED. This man took one look at Quinn, and immediately had love at first sight. But the shuttle mmc trope was used so well here, that even though he was immediately infatuated, this book is not instalove. There is almost a year from when Graham first meets Quinn till the day he proposes they fake date. And even though he claims it's to show his ex girlfriend he is truly over her, it's really just a chance for him to have a chance to get to know her better, and have her fall in love with him.

Quinn, the sunshine fmc who has had such a hard life, but doesn't let it dampen her shine. The way Ronnie wrote the found family trope had me in tears, because Quinn deserves every good thing in life, and I loved that in the entire Sadler family, she found a family that would love and support her.

While the third act breakup caused me physical heartbreak, I feel like this was one of those instances where the third act breakup was needed and brought so much growth and character development.
It was beautifully done.

I can't wait for the next book in this series!

6 stars ✨

I don’t even know where to start. Just one moment was so beautifully written. Ronnie has taken such care writing these characters and made me love them.
Graham: New fave book boyfriend alert! He is so sweet and loving but doesn’t understand how he could be loved back. Reading his pov broke my heart at times but seeing his journal entries where he slowly starts to find himself again is beautiful.
Quinn is the total opposite of Graham with a bubbly sunshine personality but is his perfect partner. The way they understood and loved each other was beautiful. Quinn’s love allowed Graham to heal from his previous relationship (horrible ex) and learn to love himself the way she does.
Grahams dirty mouth was surprising from the shy MMC but it made the spicy scenes top tier.
Graham’s actions showed his love for Quinn but his letters 🥺 let her see he fell at first sight.

Some favourite quotes:
“The angel has a name. Quinn”
“Okay, let’s do this. Woo me.” “Now?”
“You remembered my favourite color?” “I did. Are these flowers okay? I can get you others if you don’t like them.”
“There was no planning for Quinn Jackson.
“Have you ever seen anything like this?” “Never” Only, he isn’t looking at the view. He’s looking at me.
“I think you’re fucking perfect.”
“Just one moment is all it took”

Those two words was a 5 star book for me, I loved Johanna and Patrick (& Lottie ofc) but just one moment has to be my favourite of the series so far. I’m very excited to read Ronnie’s future work and the rest of this series.

Go read if you like small town, fake dating, he falls first, forced proximity, found family!

Graham Sadler owned my heart. He was so shy, unsure, and broken. And Quinn was so sunshiny and pure. Their draw to one another was so relatable. I loved the angst and the slow burn! I’ve always been drawn to quiet and reserved men (hellllo husband!) so this man was everything to me. I loved their relationship and how they balanced each other in the sweetest way. Quinn saw past the hurt he carried and drew him out of his self-made protective shell. And his utter devotion to her was swoon-worthy! Not to mention his dirty mouth was so unexpected and so so hot! He was bossy and totally in control in the bedroom. I loved seeing that side of him!

Just One Moment is a small-town must read!

Ronnie! You had me crying like a baby! Just One Moment is so beautiful, I wish I could spend more time with these characters.

Graham and Quinn were wonderful MCs. Each with their our traumas and insecurities, but both with so much love to give. On the surface, they seem like polar opposites (and in a lot of ways they are) but we all know there is some truth to the saying opposites attract 😏

This book has it all - tension, humor, tender moments, spicy scenes, mental health representation, loss and love. 💕

This is book 2 in the Sutton Bay series and I would highly recommend this, as well as book 1, Those Two Words. I will be (impatiently) waiting on the edge of my seat for book 3.

‘Sometimes, words don’t come as easy to me, but if you give me a moment, I’ll get there.’

I was really hoping for Graham and Quinn’s story when I read Those Two Words so was delighted when Ronnie announced they would be next!

Quinn is such a fabulous character, pure sunshine and hope despite a horrific childhood.

Graham is much quieter, more reserved and introverted. He has been deeply hurt by his ex and this has massively impacted his confidence. It takes him a while, but his growth at the end of the book is beautiful to watch. He noticed Quinn as soon as she moved to Sutton Bay and opened her bakery, but was too nervous to approach her. When he needs a fake girlfriend to attend his ex’s wedding with, he plucks up the courage to ask Quinn. But the lines between fake and real start to blur very quickly.

Special mention must go to one of my favourite side characters in this story- Curly, Graham’s dog.
‘Most people make rash decisions post-breakup; mine was adopting a wiener dog.’

I had lots of highlights in this book, so many beautiful quotes. Ronnie is such a fantastic writer, there is a real depth to her storytelling that feels like someone who has written many more books and I can’t wait to see what she brings us next!

Huge thanks to the author and Love Notes PR for this ARC.

Just One Moment ARC

Quinn and Graham

These two are so cute together! I was giggling a couple of times during their first interactions. They both had difficult pasts. That first kiss was everything. He calls her "Honey." I love nicknames! I laughed and cried. They were both learning to grow from their past, but they are perfect for each other. Ooohhh, and I cried a lot of times. I loved this book.

Thank you Love Notes PR and Ronnie Mathews for the ARC.
