Rate this book
If you could find out exactly when you would meet the love of your life; would you want to know?Anya Lewis was so busy jumping from city to city that she never had time to develop a relationship of substance. So, when a friend asked her to accompany her to see Madame Laurent, a local fortune teller, Anya was a little skeptical but went along. She sat down with Madame Laurent and after answering a few questions, she gave Anya her timing device with the explicit warning that it would light up when she met her soul mate. Two years later, Anya had yet to meet her soul mate and thought the whole timer business was just a hoax. She was ready to tear the timer necklace off of her neck when it started to glow. Lo and behold, standing in front of her was Terrance, who came over and asked to sit next to her in the Seattle airport. She hit it off with him instantly as they waited for their plane back home to Atlanta and by the end of the flight, they were inseparable. Anya was falling for him but there was one problem; she was leaving back for Seattle in eight weeks.Terrance Thompson wasn’t looking for anything serious but when he met Anya at the airport; something was different about her. She was smart, funny and gorgeous; and Terrance was enjoying every minute with her. It didn’t help that he knew she was leaving in a few short months; making it the perfect situation. It was perfect because after being married and having children, Terrance was not looking for another Mrs. Thompson. As the time moves closer for her departure to Seattle, will Anya be able to leave? And can Terrance risk his heart on a woman who plans to leave him in Eight Weeks? The Love Timer Series can all be read as standalone novels.

I actually abandoned this book for a few weeks but I'm so glad I picked it back up and finished the story! At first I thought this was going to be a typical fairytale but I was really surprised how good this novel was! Anya and Terrance were soulmates and their story was so realistic. I loved how the story counted down the weeks until Anya's move and each week their love progressed. The character development was good and even though this story had a few errors I still really enjoyed it. Terrance & Anya's friends and family also made this story even more enjoyable. I like how the topic of expressing love, step-families, divorce, family competition, children, & emotional/physical abuse were covered. I would love to see a story with Pauline finding love because she totally deserves a win.

Cool read

I loved Anya and Terrence's story. They were meant to be together. Terrence should have cut Jasmine off right away. I couldn't believe he was naive to know that Jasmine was playing him. He and Anya should have had a conversation when she told him she loved him. I just glad they found their way back to each other.

This was such an enjoyable series I find that I wish a few of the others were given their own stories. The only negative for me is this author's obsession with letting the reader know this is a "light skin" woman. She didn't wash her skin, she washed her "light skin" - and on and on. Do better. It takes away from the story, but I didn't penalize her as it was a good story.

8 Weeks was enough

The hero and heroine in the story had to make a connection and fall in love in 8 weeks. Sounds like a task right? The mystic said they would find one another and live happily ever after. The couple found love in the nick of time. The story was nice.

Start of a great series

I enjoyed this book. Terrance was getting on my nerves in the beginning. Anya made the right decision for herself. It's hard to juggle to households.
