Logan and Ember's story was a nice holiday read. This was a quick little read that had some humor, arguing, a bit of drama and a little holiday spice.

Logan is an urban developer. His mission is to turn around the wrongs his father did with his company and help towns become updated and self sustaining instead.
Ember (December) runs the bookstore/bakery. She knows of Logan's father's way of business but not Logan's and will do whatever she can to get rid of Logan and keep her town the same.

Ember is relentless in trying to stop Logan from changing her beloved town. She doesn't even listen or trust Logan when he tries to explain his plan is not to change the town but to update it and help with his changes so that everyone can maintain and make a profit. They both get into a few situations and one ends up trusting while the other doesn't. Ember's ideas of getting Logan to leave the town alone goes a bit too far. Will the town get the help? Will Logan leave? You have to read to find out!

This was a good, short read. I've like the books so far in this holiday series which are complete standalones so far. I could have gone for less arguments and more happy but it all works for this book!
