Knot that Simple

Rate this book
"You're an Omega..."

Even as I say the words it doesn’t feel true. My hand tightens around Alice’s tiny fingers and I consider running, but there’s something deep inside that tells me to listen. There’s something better for my daughter than the life I’ve been able to give her.

When we move to the omega village I think I’ve lost my mind, but it’s the people around me who are willing to supply us with everything we need. It feels too good to be true, and when I’m handed two one way tickets to Ireland, I realize it’s time to pay up.

What would three men want with me when the father of my child didn’t even want us?

Tadgh is the first to make me feel at home, Osian is the calm I’ve needed after so many storms, but Lorcan? He’s the one I’m struggling to crack but want to call Daddy.

Can three fisherman and a remote Irish village really equal happy ever after for two girls no one has ever loved?

I was craving some Omegaverse and this gave me just what I needed. I had a good time and hope there’s a third book.

I am happy to have read this as an ARC copy, this is the second book in the Lost omegas series.
It was a quick read for me, entertaining and what I was expecting from the first book. Gabriella was a sweet FMC and the mens devotion towards her is lovely to read. This book is like a omegaverse snack!

Can we talk about how BADASS I feel like Gabriella is!? Because wow!

I am all about an Omegaverse novel or novella, and the various ways that they’re written and how different polycules are formed. This one however, felt more like an arranged marriage to me than anything else. Gabriela is located after someone figured out that she’s an Omega and removed from her home to live in some kind of Omega community with her daughter. They send off her blood to some kind of database where they work their science magic to determine who she’s mated to when compared to different packs blood. Gabriela is informed that they’ve found her mates using this database and that they’re in Ireland. So she and her daughter are moved again to a remote part of Ireland to start their new lives with these strangers. While they’re very nice strangers, this is the whole thing that felt mail order bride to me.
Because once in Ireland, the group is just lowkey waiting for Gabriela’s heat to start. They’ve just met each other and casually start talking about banging right off the rip. There’s very little lead up time from introductions to talking about orgasms.

I appreciate that this book is pretty to the point and it’s concise. The author knows that the reader came to read some group sex, and she does not beat around the bush. Gabriela goes into heat pretty quickly and the author spends a lot of time describing how things go down. Turns out, the stoic leader of the pack has a Daddy kink and the whole group is on board. Though there’s no sword crossing, which is kind of a bummer. The epilogue showed us years into the future where their blended family has grown even more.

While the spice was decent enough, the way the short story was written felt a little clunky and whiny. The FMC has way too much self doubt and it felt like her priorities were in the wrong place. And the author chooses for the heat to be broken up into sections. Like, the FMC’s heat starts, but she can take a break to get ice cream with her daughter less than 24 hours later before another wave hits? It just didn’t feel like an authentic Omegaverse story. So I just felt like this story was OK and not anything to write home about.

3.5 Stars.

This was too much and too little all at the same time. It didn't have the depth of book 1, it had more human worries/feelings to deal with and we get to the epilogue and I'm like that was such a time jump.

I appreciate that it was short. Personally it lost some stars because of the whole Gabriela being a single mum aspect. She moved across the world with her school going child (which btw wasn't addressed, imagine moving from your given home structure to an island, with seemingly no kids because there are no Omegas and we have no mention of if she's being home schooled) to live with 3 guys (again, more like recreational fishermen than this-supports-our-livelihood fishermen), on an island where you have no friends and the greatest thing she had no source of income.

Like if this was the real world, these are so many red flags, yet the setting of the book is here and now, just that their designation is hidden from normal human. We are to believe in all this based on the fact that they are Alphas and will always protect and provide for their Omega. Ai no. Independent women, whether by choice or circumstance, but especially by circumstance, always have a plan B in their back pocket but even Gabriela's plan B, (returning where she was from) was hinged on the guys.

I loved that Gabriela and Alice aren't white and their physical descriptions take that into account. It's a welcome break from blue-green eyes to read about brown eyes.

“She was apologetic as she walked, apologetic as she stood there. It was breaking my fucking heart. A woman like her should never feel this way. I wanted her to laugh big and be as loud as she liked. I wanted her to dare to be herself with us.”

This novella was a sweet and spicy why choose.
The men; sour, sweet, stay and rub your feet. I loved the fast paced read of this book and how fast I was invested in the characters. If you want heavy spice and little plot dive on in.

As a mother of three I can relate to our MFC being curvy and unsure in her own skin. It’s incredible how Amy shows how the right man (men in this case 😉) can make any woman realize their beauty.

I think I have to admit that omegaverse is not for me. There were a lot of things I liked about Amy Oliveira’s Knot that Simple, and that helped me realize that the element I didn’t love was the omegaverse part. Let me clarify here that just because omegaverse isn’t my cup of tea, doesn’t mean I think there’s anything wrong with liking it. I took a chance on Knot that Simple because I’ve enjoyed Amy Oliveira’s social media posts. I can tell that the smart, funny, and empathetic person
I see on social media wrote this book that is sweetly funny, achingly emotional, and blisteringly spicy.

Gabriela is a single mom who has struggled to survive and raise her daughter without passing on generational trauma. A few months before the story opens, Gabriela is approached by a woman who tells her that she is an omega and is offered a free place to live while they look for her pack (of husbands). After a few months of not living hand to mouth in a village in Bolivia, her pack is found in Ireland and she, with much trepidation, agrees to pack up her daughter and go meet them. The three Irish fishermen, Lorcan, Tadgh, and Osian, formed a pack with no real hope that they would ever find an Omega.

Gabriela is willing to take leaps of faith in order to provide a safe, happy and stable life for her daughter. She accepts the concept of being an Omega because she’s about to be evicted and some weird story about being an Omega is a small price to pay for not being homeless. She takes the chance that these three unknown men in Ireland are her fated mates because it promises a future for her daughter. She doesn’t entirely trust that they won’t be disappointed in her, because she hasn’t had much unconditional love and support in her life. Oliveira grounds Knot that Simple in the emotional journey the characters take. All four of the adults struggle with some disbelief that they will be loved and accepted for who they are and not just what they are. Those were the moments I liked best.

To a degree, though, they also reinforced where I don’t connect with omegaverse. Fated mates isn’t my favorite trope in romance. On the one hand, it was lovely to read about people who will make sure their community and family are cared for at a time when I’m reading about the social safety nets in my country being dismantled. For me, as a reader, I find less satisfaction in “we belong together because our biochemistry is compatible” than I do in “ we belong together because we choose each other.” Oliveira gave me every opportunity and reason to embrace omegaverse, and it’s just not my thing.

If you are looking for a short read with lovely characters, lovely emotions, and high spice (with some daddy kink and bondage), Knot that Simple is a good read.

I received this as an advance reader copy from the author. My opinions are my own, freely and honestly given.

This was a nice refreshing take on fated mates and omegaverses. I wish I had read the previous book only because I think it would have given a little background on the world, but it wasn’t required. I was easily able to get what was going on. It’s a world where most people are betas and don’t really have any knowledge that there are any designations. The omega in this story has found her way to a village of different designations and sent her blood off in order to find her mates. She finds that her mates are three Irish fishermen and goes to be with them, not knowing anything about them. She has with her daughter, Alice. She is thrust into a completely different world, being Brazilian and her daughter only speaking Portuguese. But she finds that she is fated to three of the kindest alphas on the planet.

Gabriella has never felt wanted. Her father left and her mother was a drug addict. The father of her daughter wanted nothing to do with them. She is a curvy woman and has very low self-esteem. She is worried that these alphas will reject her just like everyone else. But the three alphas have been dreaming of their omega and are so happy that they matched with someone who they find to be gorgeous. The alphas are the sweetest guys. They are the best with Alice and treat her as if she is their own daughter. My favorite was Lorcan. He seems like a super grump and makes Gabi so self-conscious, but he is just not good with his emotions. He is so attracted to Gabi that he is super awkward. The other guys are adorable and Tadgh is the best with Alice. I loved all three of the alphas and everyone in their village.

This was a short novella that was mostly about this pack coming together. My biggest issue was that I wanted more of this pack because I really loved them. It takes a little bit but there is definitely spice towards the end of the story. But this is mostly about this pack learning to trust each other and forming their pack. It was a great short read.

I picked this up because of social media. I was intrigued because I love books about Ireland and this seemed interesting. This is such a well written book. Don’t get me wrong, it was easy to read and kept my attention. However. I don’t think omega verse is for me. That being said, this is a me problem. I wanted to try the book and I did. I found out it’s not for me.

Gabriella is an omega who has found her pack. She moves to Ireland with her daughter and they have a family and everything they could hope for. The three men all want her, and she has to learn to open up. She connects with each in a different way and then they all knot her. That’s the book. Which is great. It was enjoyable because I knew what to expect. Each man was written well and added to the story. They made Gabriella feel wanted and beautiful. I adored that part. What I think my problem was that I wanted it to be longer. I think I would have liked this if it was a longer story. Like two books to get their story fully fleshed out.

Olivera is an amazing author. I would read more of her works. Definitely pick this up if you enjoy omega verse and fated mates.

A Heartfelt, Irish Sea-Swept Why Choose Omegaverse Romance ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amy Oliveira has done it again! Knot That Simple is an Omegaverse masterpiece that blends found family, single mom resilience, and three devoted Irish Alphas into one stunningly emotional romance. Gabriela a curvy newly realized Omega (I love the midsize representation) and her daughter Alice's journey from survival mode to truly being seen and cared for is so powerful. Gabriela's moment of realization— "I trust the three of you. I know you're not going anywhere, and I'm not either. I can't. There's no one in the world who takes care of me like you do. No one sees me like you do. I can't go back to being invisible. I won't."—absolutely wrecked me.

Tadgh, Oisin, and Lorcan each bring something special—warmth, steadiness, and daddy kink with a touch of delicious grumpiness—but together, they give Gabriela and Alice the unconditional love they’ve never known.

Sexy, emotional, and deeply healing, this book is everything. Thank you, Amy Oliveira, for the ARC—this one’s anchored in my heart forever. ⛵❤️

Knot that Simple
A heartfelt quick read. Gabriela's story will have you reacting to all of the characters and feeling an emotional connection to each. I love that her character description was that of a mother who wanted to provide the best life for her daughter. She was not the typical size of a leading female character in most books as well and that was refreshing to read. She doesn't know her worth at the beginning but her Irish Men help her find that she is worth everything and then more.
If you are into fated mates and a easy read this is the book for you. The book was not very long which I found myself wanting more and wanting to get into the stories of the individual characters a little more. When I say easy read I mean the length of the book but also the way the author wrote the story as well. The words and formatting of the book made it easy for me to just curl up and read and found myself lost in the story continuing on.

Gabriela is a single mother, who also had a rough childhood. With a single mother who didn't care to know her as a child, Gabriela knows that she has to be a much better provider and support for her own child.

When the opportunity arrises to be an Omega in a pack of mismatched men that never thought they would find an omega. Lorcan, Tadgh, and Osian some beautiful Irish fishermen that had given up hope on what their future would bring. There is a lot of trepidation. From Gabriela moving to a new place and finding a new way of living. Trusting that these men will not only love her but also love and care for her daughter. The men not knowing what direction was next.

The love I have for the way that Amy put this together is so much. Her words and the flow of this story. Amazing. This quick, easy read, brings you so much turmoil and happiness all in one. Anxiety over if they will all find their happily ever after.

This one just didn’t have quite the same charm as the first. I feel like I really didn’t get a chance to know the characters. Gabriela I learned the most about but honestly, I know next to nothing about the three men. And I wanted to. I WANTED to learn about them.

I also felt like their romance was so rushed. Gabriela talks about not wanting to be wanted only for her smell but truthfully, I feel like that’s exactly what happened. They’d known each other a DAY and while I understand that the last book also happened in roughly that amount of time, their relationship was much more organic.

The dirty talk in this one was good and top tier but the actual spice was “meh”. Which is disappointing since I know she can write good smut.

It wasn’t badly written, I just wish there had been more. It needed just a little more substance for me to really enjoy it.

the way i absolutely devoured this book in one setting. three Irish men alphas? yes please.

“Come and then beg for my cock, mo chroí. Beg pretty, and I might give it to you.”

our fmc gabriela is a single mom who would do anything for her girl, and isn’t used to be taken care of (very relatable) until tadgh, oisin and lorcan came along. every single POV touched my heart in a different way, and i loved every single character. (lorcan may have been my favorite though, don’t tell the others)

the boat scene had me WEAK in my knees. and the car?? ugh the way these men all groveled for her was absolute perfection.

“Show Daddy how you take that knot.”
SPLASHHH.

plus we get the sweetest epilogue at the end they left me teary eyed for these four. Amy never fails me!!

This was a quick spicy and low drama read. I really loved how the author used real life emotions to tell this story. We all know what it is like to feel unloved and unwanted. We have all experience situations where we did not know how to navigate relationships and our feelings. I loved that the guys in this story were just as worried about her feelings as she was. They had emotional baggage to overcome. They all found something in each other that they could not get from another person. The way they loved Gabriella and her daughter was so sweet. They made sure to let her know that they were just as committed to the union as she was in having one with them. I loved that the story was low drama and that they all got what they needed in the end.

Thinking Thoughts

It’s easy to love an OV story. The scent matching, the mating, the knotting. So I definitely liked the book, but it could have used more dialogue and less internal monologue. If there were going to be able to tell what she was thinking and feeling, why not just have the conversation? And so much time was spent on her doubts and one of the guys that by the time the heat hits it feels like everyone is just riding that wave. Basically the progression of things could have been smoother. I did enjoy the way her body was described and the love and appreciation for it. I also enjoyed that her daughter wasn’t an afterthought. It was a solid read just needed some ironing out.

This was a lovely, short omegaverse that was refreshing from some of my darker books that I've been reading! The shortness of the book doesn't take away from the character development nor the relationship dynamics between them. Gabriela and her daughter Alice are both so sweet, used to relying on each other only in life. Tadgh being the heart of the trio was my favourite, I liked their little bonding moment. Lorcan is the leader, protector and silent one of the three but learns to voice his love to Gabriela. Lastly, Oisin was the mature, reliable one of the three who knew what to do or what was needed.

It was a great, little read and do recommend it if you're after a cosy read!

I loved Gabriela's story!
The plot and the main characters were perfect.
Oh my goodness. I wanted to hug each of them. They all had their own worries or insecurities. They way the men showed Gabriela and Alice how much they cared was everything.
Of course this book gave me so many feels, but it also had all the spicy goodness too! We also got a bit of dirty talk and daddy kink. 😉

Lorcan is Daddy, Tadgh is the heart, and
Oisin is calm and patient. These men were perfect for Gabriela. Always loving and reassuring.

What a fantastic read! I loved everything about it. From the beginning to their deserved HEA!

Ending generational trauma

Gabriela grew up never knowing her father and with a mother who wasn't interested in her child. So when she ended up a single mother she knew she had to do better.

After finding out she was an Omega she was given a place to live and some stability. However, at 26 she was matched with her pack and had to move again she was prepared for more heartbreak.

This was a very sweet book about men who had given up the hope of finding their Omega. The oldest member was already 47. So they were excited but also terrified. This is people coming together to build their family after giving up hope of having their dreams.

I absolutely loved this book. It was very sweet, and captured how protective a single mother can truly be. Loved the pack, even though our Alpha Lorcan has absolutely no game in the beginning. You'll understand when you read. I also enjoyed how our little Alice picked her own favourite Alpha and bonded with them herself, not through her mom. I think it helped our little omega accept that she could be happy.

My only regret about this book, is that I absolutely could not remember how to properly say their names, so our Alphas had some nicknames in their place. Sorry Amy, I tried, and still love this book so very much.

This was a short and sweet omegaverse novel. The main character Gabriela is a newly discovered omega who has only known neglect her whole life. She does everything in her power to prevent her daughter from experiencing the same thing, so she takes a risk to follow a new friend across the world. She ends up scent matching a pack in Ireland and takes yet another risk to improve her and her daughter’s lives. Once there, the 3 Irish fishermen do everything in their power to convince Gabriela she is safe and wanted. I do love a good happily ever after.

I know that a lot of people don’t like the pregnancy trope and it is included in the epilogue.

A cute short novella with spice and a cultural essence to it. I enjoyed this novella. It is very different to what I am used to with multiple mates but that is what made it so special & unique. It takes you on a journey with Gabriela. An omega looking for her alpha. She is matched with not one but three alpha males. How will this single mom who has lived with rejection her whole life cope with three mates who want nothing more than to love and care for her and her child? This novella is a different take on fated mates but it is an enjoyable read. Brazilian FMC and three Irish MMC with daddy kinks. A recipe for spice.

For anyone who has ever felt unwanted. For those who have felt unloved. Truly, this book is for us all.

A gorgeous short read, Knot That Simple had me hooked from the very start! With a strong FMC who doesn’t know her worth but is willing to put it all on the line to give her daughter a better life, to the men who give them both what they deserve, this book had me absolutely swooning. The setting is absolutely awesome, the characters are multi-dimensional and beautifully written, and the story was so, so sweet! BRB booking a ticket to Ireland…

Gabriela, a Brazilian single mom gets matched with Tadgh, Oisin, and Lorcan- three Irish Alphas. They accept Gabriela and her daughter, Alice to give them a family they have never had. Each of the men are attached to Gabriela in different ways and they all heal parts of themselves together. This book pulls at your heart and gives you just the right amount of spice. I got this book as an e-ARC without realizing it was the second in the series, but I’ve loved all of the Amy Oliveira books I’ve previously read so when I saw the request for ARC readers it was a no-brained! I did enjoy Knotting Before Them a little better, however, the setting of Knot That Simple is so much more beautiful and descriptive (no hate to Switzerland), likely because Amy is lucky enough to call Ireland her real life home!! I highly recommend this series. They are quick read and her take on the Omegaverse is uniquely her own in ALL the best ways. I can’t wait for the next book!!!

Hot damn, love for oneself, acceptance of yourself and others in your life, knowing your not alone when truly loved and cared for, breaking generational curses, allowing others to love you the way that you need to be loved. And again I repeat accepting one another in every way possible. The spice was super spicing, the way that the MEN loved their omega, in their nest and home 🥹🥹🥵🥵. Sweet and spicy novella, prefect for St. Patrick's day, and the way that the country's beauty was showed throughout, I want to go even more now

I felt so bad for Gabriela finding out about her past. I was so happy by the end Gabriela finally got what she wanted. I couldn't wait to see who she would match with after she found out what she truly was. It was funny when they walked in on Lorcan and Gabriela together and they told her he finally got her to call him Daddy. It was sweet that they liked her daughter right from the start of meeting her. It was so sweet that Gabrielas daughter loved whales and Lorcan, Tadgh and Oisin take her to see whales. I loved the ending. If you liked the first book you will definitely enjoy this one.

Thank you so much for this ARC, and I'm sorry I didn't realize I hadn't shared it 🤣🖤

You guys should know by now that anything Amy writes, I'm reading. She truly has a gift of making me tear up on the spiciest of her books, and this novella was no exception. I'm not a single mom, but this book healed some fear inside of me when the guys accepted Gabriela's daughter as their own. They showed both of them what a home is, and that's what made me cry 🤣 it was beautiful and spicy in the best ways!
