This series keeps getting better and better, I absolutely LOVED Connor and Ronni's story!

I have to stress that this series overlaps and must be read in the order of release in order to understand what is going on and WOW now that I know what was happening with Connor and Ronni during the first two books things become so much clearer.

In Ty's book Ronni played his fake girlfriend but it seemed a little strange that an A-list actress would play the part of a "beard" but oh my gosh my eyes are WIDE OPEN now and I totally get it all! Well done Kaylene Winter, you are totally rocking it with this series!

If you have the option to listen to the audiobook I highly recommend it, Richard Sawyer and Rose Dioro did a phenomenal job with bringing Connor and Ronni's story to life.

I would recommend this to those that enjoy Steamy Contemporary New Adult Romances or Rockstar Romances.

Happy Reading!!!

Kaylene Winter has been knocking me out with her debut rockstar romance series featuring the band she and her childhood bff's themselves would have been dying to fangirl over- a Seattle standout of course, Less Than Zero- also known as LTZ.  Two books and a prequel later, I'm forever hooked, having met and swooned all over this irresistibly hot band of friends that feel more like brothers. Connor and Jace are the heart of their rhythmic beat while Ty and Zane are the melodic soul.  Together they make the magic happen.

"Four distinct personalities.  One perfect puzzle."

After learning more about the level headed, honest to a fault bassist, Connor McGloughlin- I thought to myself, what's not to love about this gorgeous, confident, sexy man???  You can't read his story and not fall hard for him!  From the start, he cast a spell on me with his charming Irish wit and there was no turning back from there.  He's a towering protector, the responsible oldest son in his big, loving family with a bucket full of life experiences that have made him wiser than his years.  Connor's had plenty of practice holding things together in tough times but family always comes first with him, even if it was slowly killing his dreams.  After years of putting himself last...he makes the hard choice to pursue a life in music.  Connor's path winds and turns, taking him to the top but what he least expects to find there is a fiery, red headed temptress that leaves his heart pounding like crazy. Connor will have his own world rocked when the woman of his dreams slowly shows him why she is truly Fearless!

The first time they met, Connor didn't know who she was, but he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Even with all that chemistry and heat burning around them, he blew his chance before the night had barely begun. The stunning green eyed beauty he'd wanted to know better thought he was an asshole and let him walk away.  The air was crackling and sparks were flying when the rockstar met his match with this strong, determined woman!

As an aspiring teen actress, Ronni's joyful spirit had been hollowed out by a system that allowed men in power to humiliate and degrade the bright young hopefuls looking for their big break. Often as not, their spotlights were dimmed, sometimes burned out forever in the darkness that lurked behind the scenes.  When her dreams turned into nightmares, Ronni always fell back on these self assuring words as she went from powerless to unstoppable!

"Deep Breath,
Suck it up,
Be FEARLESS..."

Years and much heartbreak later, Ronnie's quest to right the wrongs she and others endured had already been put into motion and nothing would stand in her way, not even her own hearts desire.

The theme for Connor and Ronni's steamy attraction should have been 'If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!'
As much as she wanted a chance at forever with a certain caring, sexy Irish giant, exposing the men who got off on exploiting and ruining young lives was consuming her thoughts. Secrets and lies are running in a silent, continuous loop in her mind, getting in the way of what else is essential to her happiness...and that would be Connor. He's a proud protector of those he loves and love her he surely does.

"It blew my mind how much I was drawn to her.  Almost like her soul was singing a secret song that only mine could hear."

Well, if that doesn't melt your heart into a mushy puddle, I don't know what will!  Connor has the soul of poet! Sigh...

His instincts are sharp, there's more to her story than meets the eye but when limits are pushed and trust is broken, then patience slowly flys out the window. How much longer will Connor have to wait for the love of his life- his kind, beautiful, stubborn, warrior princess, to see the light??

Fearless is the epitome of Connor and Ronni's very similar personalitie- both having that instinct to protect at all costs, brave in every way with their underlying goodness shining brightly no matter what. They give us their emotionally charged, intense and compelling, rollercoaster of a story, one I guarantee you won't forget after reading. It's frustrating, heartbreaking but also fun and loving at times too. You'll no doubt want to fling your Kindle across the room more times than you can count, I know I did!  Balance that out with Connor's sexy alpha hotness, plenty of Irish wit everywhere you look and Ronni's rise from powerless to determined. This, the supportive friendships and irreverent humor of these men who love so hard and you've found the essence of Less Than Zero.  The epilogue blew me away with its fun surprises and pure, genuine love. It had me wishing for extra chapters as their journey into what was meant to be just gets sweeter and juicier!  Once again, Kaylene Winter pleasantly surprises me with another phenomenal addition to her bingeable LTZ rockstar romance series.

More is what I want and more is what I'll get when Zane's story, up next, adds its own layers, contributing new depth to this ever changing LTZ narrative.  I'm beyond excited to find out if this talented wild child could be the one to finally break me! I've come awfully close already!!!

My thanks to the author for sharing this  early version of Fearless.  I throughly enjoyed reading it and this is my honest review.

Couldn’t Put Down!!

Fearless is part of a mantra that Ronnie had to keep repeating to herself in order to be an actress at a young age. Thank God for her mom who kept close tabs on her daughter at all the casting calls and while on set. The author took us to the seedy side of this career and how the exploitation of so many boys/girls and men/women have to deal with. It was so sad to see how many were broken or cast aside if they wouldn’t put up with these people in higher places.

Connor was an honorable man who had to change his life plans after his dad had an accident. He had to give up a football scholarship and most importantly his love of music in order to take over his family’s construction business. It took years before he finally allowed himself to get on that music train and never look back. Now he was the bass player to one of the biggest rock bands around. After having his heart broken by a girl he left behind Ronnie walked into his life and it took quite some time to actually see what they had because their careers were moving in so many different directions…Ronnie the talented actress and Connor the rock star.

I have to thank this author for opening my eyes to how the acting system worked for so many. It broke my heart to hear of how it truly affected so many. The love story between Connor and Ronnie/Mae was amazing and their ride to get their HEA was full of twists and turns with the ending answering so many questions I had throughout the book. For me it was one of those books that I couldn’t put down and read into the early morning hours. Loved it!!

Fearless tells the story of Connor and Ronni. Like the previous book in the Less than Zero series that I have read, this book takes place over a long period of time, with the timeline flitting backwards and forwards as we learn more about their story. Although this is part of a series, you don't have to have read the others, although the characters do reappear and feature in each of the stories.
I really enjoyed this story. The connection between Ronni and Connor is strong and deep, even if it isn't always easy or straightforward, when is love ever? It also is much more than this. With elements of #metoo and some of the awful things that stars and want to be stars are sometimes subjected to in order to achieve their dreams. Ronni is an incredibly strong and determined character, and you can't help but cheer her on, even when it's at the expense of the sweethearted Connor.
This was a fantastic read and I'd love to read more in this gripping series.

Stunning!!! Pure raw emotion and endless goosies for Fearless by Kaylene Winter!!!! This novel will dig deep into your soul and make you fall endlessly in love with the Hero and Heroine. This book was so much more enlightening and bare it transcends your typical love story. I can truly say that this books is one of my Top 5 reads so far in 2021!!!! You did a wonderful job in honing your craft, KW!!!!

This is Connors story in the Less than Zero rock and roll band. This story touches on so many raw subjects that need proper introduction and for them to continue to be told. These stories are real and they need to be discussed. Our society needs it when we are addressing so many other issues in the world. Celebrities are not exempt from heartache, pain, extortion and plain old satan with his tricks. Being targeted is no different and they too can be fully exposed if not represented carefully and creatively.

I will also say that both Connor and Ronni had backbones of strength and longevity. These two were both motivated and heartfelt in their pursuits. It was breathtaking and magical to follow along in their journey and path to happiness.

Excellent accomplishment, Kaylene!

10 STAR'S if possible 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This author knocks it out of the park with this hot, emotional, and thought-provoking rockstar romance! As in, I was so immersed in the story and so invested in the characters that I ignored those not-so-important things such as eating and sleeping. This author has fast become one of my favorites and I will say it again that I am still in amazed at how flawless her writing is, especially as she is still a relatively new author. Her masterful storytelling, well flushed out plots, and admirable characters consistently lead to very entertaining novels.

Less The Zero is back and this book features the deliciously tempting bass player, Connor McGloughlin. This mountain of a man with a sexy Irish lilt had me swooning repeatedly throughout the book. His huge heart and protective instincts completely endeared himself to me. Can you say book boyfriend? For all of his strengths, this delectable rocker was selfless almost to the extent of always putting everyone’s needs before his own. Who will look out for this gentle giant?

If you have read the previous books, then you’ve met the infamous actress, Ronni Miller. This author dives deep in creating a heroine that both vulnerable and strong. Her backstory will leave you reeling, tearing your heart to pieces. Don’t fear though, this woman possesses a clever mind, a beautiful soul, and is stubborn to a fault. At times I was annoyed by some of her actions even though I understood why and other times I wanted to give her a big hug.

Now these two together are dynamite! Their relationship spans several years but they are never far from each other’s minds. That magnetic connection tethering them together leads to a love so strong that one cannot help but want them to overcome their obstacles. A relationship between the two of them isn’t easy. There are several speed bumps that stack the odds against them. Some of their own making and others that cannot be controlled. What will happen when secrets are revealed and physical distance threatens their HEA? Given the nature of the characters and the story, the author just proves how apt the title of this book is - Fearless.

As with this author’s previous works, she drops the reader into the rockstar world and illustrates that it isn’t always glitz and glamor. With Ronni’s character, she tackles some sensitive subject matter that she clearly researched and addresses it with great sensitivity and respect. Fearless is a standalone novel in this author’s LTZ series but I do recommend the early book because they are fantastic and will greatly enrich your reading experience. If you happened to have read the previous books, then you will be thrilled to see all of our favorite bandmates and their significant others. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this rockstar romance with it’s original storyline and well developed characters. I cannot wait for the author’s next book!

I voluntarily read an early version of this novel. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

Jay-sus I feckin loved this book! Usually I can read a book in one day but I didn’t want to end this book, I read it really slow. I didn’t want to miss a single morsel of this tasty story. It’s funny because I never thought much about Connor, in the first two books he wasn’t mentioned much. Oh I knew from book two he had a thing for Ronni but that’s all. But I must say that Connor and Ronni’s story took my breath away. The story had love, romance, pain and so much more. I don’t usually like romance stories with too much reality but in this book it was so well done.
So the next and finally the last member of LTZ is Zane and I can’t even imagine how the author can possibly top this story because Zane had loving rich parents who adored him. But I will be patiently waiting for my copy, even if Ms Winter keeps torturing me with Ty and Zoey. In this book I was still feeling their pain, and actually loved the intricate way she added their timeline and connected everyone’s story.
I gave this book five stars which is something I only do when the story is perfect. I recommend this book highly and recommend you start with book one. You don’t have to but it’s easier to recognize all the players in the story.

“Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.”

Jay-sus Fearless by Kaylene Winter is an emotional rockstar romance story that is real, raw, heart-wrenching, steamy, sweet, and so fecking important in the message and subject matter it sensitively and respectfully brings to light, sexual harassment, particularly in Hollywood.
Connor and Ronni are both strong, loyal, protective, sweet, and wholeheartedly loveable characters. The rollercoaster of a relationship between them spans over several heart tugging years. It's riddled with heartache, secrets, determination, distance, love, and family, and takes you on an emotional and empowering journey about survival, redemption, and fighting for those you love.
As I devoured their story in one sitting I laughed, I smiled, I swooned, I got frustrated and angry and wanted to throw my Kindle on more than one occasion, I needed a cold shower, I cheered, and my heart which ached throughout was left truly warmed with the beautiful Epilogue.

Once again Kaylene Winter has absolutely nailed it and I can't wait for more of the LTZ series. I'm already thinking next generation because I will always want more. hehe..
Soooo...
Do you need to read this book? "Aye" (Said in Connor's sexy Irish accent)
and in the words of Ronni

"Deep Breath, Suck it up, Be Fearless (and dive head first into this book)"

Fearless by Kaylene Winter is the first book by the author that I read and I was attracted towards it because of the blurb that intrigued me. I love reading about characters that are fighters willing to fight against their circumstances and demons. Connor and Ronni proved to be fighters and made a permanent place in my heart. These are realistic characters facing life’s injustices, challenges, and traumas but never bowing down.

Though part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone and after reading this book, I am so eager to read the previous books.

The plot is beautifully brought to light, the emotional play hauntingly enchanting, and the romance heartbreakingly raw and memorable.

I loved reading this book and Njkinny recommends Fearless by Kaylene Winter to all romance lovers above the age of eighteen. If you love rakish rick stars and strong heroines, then this book is for you. 5 super shiny stars out of 5 to it.

Intense, emotional and so fecking important, Fearless is a phenomenal read.

Bringing light to sensitive subject matter that usually gets discounted, and focusing on being not just a victim but a survivor, this book is a wonderful example of equality, of holding each other up and standing together.

5 stars and a secret.

Kaylene sends us on another supercharged intense rollercoaster ride with her third book in the LTZ series. Here we meet hot and sexy Connor the level headed, confident down to earth bass player for the band and Ronni the famous actress who is on a mission. Connor is the Irish (I swear I could hear his accent in his dialogue) gentle giant who wants to put family above all else but still has issues with them. Ronni has been around Hollywood since she was a teenager and her early experiences devastated her but also made her into a strong woman (BE FEARLESS) able to take on the world and determined to right some of the wrongs she has seen in Hollywood. Their pasts have shaped both of them them into the people they are today and their stories are told in flashbacks to their pasts and scenes in the present.

To say fireworks exploded in showers of sparkles when Connor and Ronni met would be an understatement, right from the start it was obvious that this was going to be one of the hottest love stories ever. But they were like ships passing in the night hardly ever in the same place at the same time. Their connection was incredibly strong but sadly their love would never run smoothly. Connor had commitments to LTZ and Ronni stubbornly refused to stop the wheels that she put in motion until the journey's end, no matter the cost even if it was losing Connor.

Kaylene has been able to weave together a series of credible and realistic stories around the rock band LTZ. As with the previous books you are pulled into her writing right from page 1 and if you are like me you are unable to put this heartbreaking but uplifting book down until the last page is read. In Fearless the ending was way beyond anything I could have imagined. We are shown the sordid side of Hollywood and how those higher up the ladder can control and prey on newcomers for their own ends.

This is a memorable story in an unforgettable series, definitely one of the best rock star romance series out there.

In the third book of the Less Than Zero series, we are going on a heart-wrenching journey. I was on a roller coaster of emotions, multi-level complications, and a poignant love story. Yes, Connor is rockstar and Ronnie is an actress, but that is not their story. Navigating life can be difficult. They are in the public eye, and the author exposes the crazy life behind the scenes and how it affects your mental health. Ronnie and Conner hold each other's hearts, but life, distance, and secrets strain their relationship.

I received an advanced copy from the Author; this is my voluntary review.

With her Less Than Zero Rockstar Romance series, Kaylene Winter has created a world in which I have become completely immersed. It's real, raw, and so authentic that it's sometimes easy to forget these are fictional characters. I love the depth of emotion, the sizzling chemistry, the evolution of the flawed, complex characters, and the fact that the journeys the author puts them on play out over a course of years, rather than a few weeks or months. By the end of the books, I've seen them through highs and lows, triumphs and tragedies, and I'm confident that the relationships they've formed will stand the test of fame and time.

Though I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books of the series, Ronni and Connor are my favorite couple so far. Both of them have faced heart-wrenching issues in their lives. I appreciate that Winter didn't downplay the gravity of what either experienced but used it as a catalyst to propel them forward in the choices they each made in their lives. I loved Connor's good heart, his loyalty, his patience, and his protective nature. He's the gentle (sexy) giant I would happily take into my life. I would love to be Ronni's friend. I so admired her strength, courage, and commitment. Even when her choices regarding Connor frustrated me, I understood why she did what she felt she had to, why she put others before herself. I loved the chemistry between these two - so hot - but also the quiet times and the sweetness. They were so real to me. I still half expect to hear about them on entertainment shows/social media. I'm confident they're together, devoted to one another, and living their best lives, both professionally and personally.

The books in this series all intertwine and though you could read FEARLESS on its own, for maximum enjoyment and understanding of the characters I strongly recommend beginning with ENDLESS, then LIMITLESS, before continuing with Connor and Ronni's story in FEARLESS. There's one more band member waiting for his story and I can't wait to find out what Winter has in store for Zane. Wherever she leads him, it's sure to be another emotional, sizzling, deeply immersive, reading experience.

Ronnie & Connor’s love story was filled, and I mean filled with drama, suspense, twists and turns. It was original and interesting. It was a little confusing because of the past/present but it was worth the read! I was sent a copy of this book and i am choosing to leave my honest review.

Book 3 in the Less than Zero series. Connor the rock star and Ronni the actress. The chemistry is definitely hot. But it’s the story behind the chemistry that makes this worth the read. Two people try to fight for time to spend quality time together. Two people in a crazy Hollywood world trying to do what they do best and be a normal couple. Then you have real ugly part of Hollywood people never talked about until recently. This is a up and down rollercoaster emotional read that is worth the journey.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. At the time of accepting a copy of the Fearless (The Conner and Ronni duet) for review, I was unaware that it was part of a series named Less than Zero. On learning this, I feared I would have trouble following the story. A fear further fueled by reviews which stated the need to read the previous books as it would not work as a stand-alone. Nevertheless, I took a leap of faith and dive into the story. I am glad I did, and my fears were for naught. Fearless proved to be an entertaining, emotional and well-written story.

It surprised me to discover that the Fearless is not your typical romance novel. I say this as it featured a married couple (Ronni and Connor). Now their story is not about separation and finding their way back to each other. It’s a lot more complex than that. I will not go into much details where this is concerned as to do so will lead to spoilers.

Now, even though our couple were already married, readers are treated to the backstory of their initial meeting and the development of their relationship from that point. However, there was more to the story than romance which developed between the characters. We see the challenges the characters faced while pursuing their dreams. Readers also receive a firsthand look into their lives before and after they both became celebrities.

I admired both of them for their strong sense of morals while in an industry that promotes promiscuity and a host of other immoral behaviours. They are both fighters in a world designed to tear one down. Ronnie’s introduction to the world of Hollywood pushed her down a road of revenge, which threatened to destroy all she held dear. Now, while I understood her need for revenge, I did not agree with her keeping secrets from Connor. He knew she kept secrets from him, but the strength of his love for her helped him to deal. Even though some of her actions didn’t sit well with him, he stood by her through it all.

Winter provided an interesting peak into the workings of both the movie and music industry. Readers learn of the degrading things up-and-coming stars have to face and do to get ahead in the industry. Clearly, a lot of research went into this aspect of the story. The Fearless delivered a story that’s raw, authentic and gut wrenching.

I had the pleasure of listening to the first part of the duet on audio and found the narration to be remarkable. The narrators, Richard Sawyer and Rose Dioro, did an excellent job in bringing the characters and the story to life.

Overall, a wonderful and eye-opening story. I do plan to go back and read the other books in the series. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading

Connor McLaughlin is tired of pretending, he wants his wife actress Ronnie Miller by his side. Ronnie though is pretending to be dating someone else. Secrets have been a foundation of their relationship, will their relationship be able to stand once all is revealed?

You get the back story of how Connor and Ronnie came together. There is a lot that goes on in this story from Ronnie becoming an actress and the unbelievable treatment to her as she rises up. Drama filled romance. I have not read the previous books and I do think it would have helped clarify a couple of things for me. Otherwise well written and the chemistry is off the charts with these two. Connor is intense, really liked his character.

“Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.”

Fearless is another heartwrenching, all-consuming, and emotional story in the Less than Zero series. This time we focus on Connor and Ronnie. Their story is so layered and complex and will take the reader on a rollercoaster of emotions.

Connor has a huge heart and I absolutely loved him. He’s lived the rockstar lifestyle, but when he finds his soulmate, he will do anything to be with her. He sacrifices time and time again in order to support Ronnie and his family.

Ronnie’s past has left her broken and she’s determined to fight injustices in Hollywood even if it destroys her and her relationships. She loves Connor fiercely, but in order for her to move on from her past, she has to expose the secrets and lies that have held her hostage.

The journey these two travel is not an easy one. It’s rife with deception and fighting for just a moment of togetherness, but when they are together, it’s explosive. They calm each other and give one another a sense of peace and belonging.

All of the angst and longing in this book tortured my heart in the best way. I love how Kaylene Winter’s effortlessly blends the timelines between the books in this series and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Zane.

The story was entertaining but a slow read until the end. I loved the storyline itself; however, the back and forth between past and present at the beginning irritated me. Once we start focusing on the past and moved forward to the present, I began to enjoy the story. Connor and Ronni I couldn’t get behind. I just couldn’t relate to them. There was chemistry but didn’t blow me away. I do plan to go back and read the rest of the LTZ series.

Fearless
Less Than Zero, Book 3
By: Kaylene Winter
Narrated by: Richard Sawyer, Rose Dioro

Another incredible book in the Less Than Zero series, Kaylene Winter brings us Ronni and Connor's story. Ronni broke into acting at a young age, and was exposed to the worst of Hollywood. Now famous in her own right, she has met the love of her life. Connor, the bass player for Less Than Zero has enjoyed his raise to the top, but he is done with the one night groupie stands. When he meets Ronni, both their lives change. But Ronni is on a mission, and it may just destroy what these two have built together. Will they survive the battle and win the war? This is a phenomenal listen. Winter has crafted a romance around a relevant issue that is no longer able to be ignored. I Give kudos to Ronni's perseverance to find justice and closure. She has been through a lot. But at times, I felt Connor's pain too. Was she selfish? At times I felt that way, but I also found Connor to be too understanding without knowing the whole story! It was frustrating from both sides. Excellent writing, wonderful to enjoy the band as we have gotten to know the members and a great new song!

Narrated by Rose Dioro and Richard Sawyer, this book was an enjoyable treat. Dioro dives into Ronni, letting us feel her fast pace childhood, need to find closure and true love for Connor. Sawyer is fantastic as Connor. He gives him infinite patience, until he doesn't, let's his frustration and love show and has us falling in love. This is a fabulous team and wonderful listen.

Connor is all about family first, so when tragedy struck, he put his dreams on the backburner to take care of his family. He finally decides to finally follow his dreams even if it's a hard decision, and despite everything before it, his new path takes him to the top. Ronni is an actress with a very mean backstory that seriously brought me to my knees as I felt everything that she's been through. Nowadays, she's out to expose things that shouldn't be happening on the Hollywood scene no matter the cost. Connor & Ronni are perfect for each other as every interaction shoots sparks everywhere, but this isn't a quick developing relationship as it spans more than a few years. Here's the craziest part about it, she's the one who makes the frustrating decisions that seriously got on my nerves from time to time. Fearless is a story that will drag every last emotion out of you like it did me, so make sure you have some reading time carved out because it's impossible to put down until every last page is devoured! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This is the third book in this series by this author but the first one that I've read. This is a hot, emotional Rockstar romance read. This is the intense and sexy story of Connor and Ronni. These two characters are just perfect for each other. This book has well developed characters and an original story line. This is a emotional, romantic, raw, heart wrenching, steamy sweet and so much more. There is a lot packed into the pages of this story. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

I was given an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my honest review

*I was kindly sent this in exchange for an honest review via Xpresso Book Tours*

This was clearly not it for me, but I will start with the things I liked so we start on a positive note.

Things I liked...
RONNIE - i liked her most of the time. Well, let's say 75% of the time. She was fun and I loved her determination. Yes she was a pain in the ass occasionally and did some questionable things to further the plot rather than actually just talking but overall I didn't hate her.

Things I didn't like...
THE WRITING - it was all tell and no show. Everything was told and told again to hammer it home to the reader. It was so repetitive. I just wish it showed their feelings and the development of their relationships and the plot more. It felt like someone was reciting a story rather than you experiencing it with them.
I also was not a fan of the Irish idioms. There was also a lot of times that it leant into Scottish terms and I don't know if this was just bad research on the authors part into the difference between or if these are genuinely terms shared amongst both and I didn't know but it was very odd to read. Especially when certain words were spelled out in his accent like Jay-sus. This could be very confusing for non-native english speakers or even people who struggle with dyslexia to read. It would be far better to just write in normal english with the descriptor of an accent to make it easier on the reader.
THE TIMELINE/ORDER - there was literally no reason for the order this book happened in to happen. It could have been chronological. It would have been far better and easier to understand that way. By starting the way it did, it took all the interest out of the romance because you knew how things ended.
THE ROMANCE - it felt so insta-love it was painful. Not only that but it was toxic as hell. They both fully acknowledge that they use sex to avoid their problems. How are you meant to root for that? Coupled with the interest in their relationship being stolen by the crazy chapter order made it feel like the author didn't have to put effort into making them fall in love or showing the reader their romantic development because they already knew how it ended. You never saw them bonding. Instead you got lines that told you they bonded. It ties back into what I said about the writing and how it was all tell and no show. You need a balance and this had none.
THE PLOT - this may lead off the timeline issue but there was no intrigue to the plot. The big reveal at the end about Ronnie having gone through something the reader wasn't expecting was a bust because the reader guessed it and it was a let down. After all the horrors of what is going on in this book, to then have that be her story (as horrific as it was) just seemed weak in comparison to the build up it received. Also the issues in their relationship that was meant to help drive the plot felt quite circular and like there was no development.
CONNOR - this was a shock to me because normally I am a sucker for book boys, but connor made me feel quite uncomfortable. He was really quite controlling and possesive and not in a loving way. He needed to know everything and be part of everything and it just felt very red flag to me. Paired with the fact their relationship was toxic just meant he was a no go character for me.

So as you can see this was definitely not high on my enjoyment list. I wanted to like this since anyone who knows me knows I adore a rock band romance. But this just missed the mark. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend.

This series just keeps getting better!
Fearless *Less Than Zero* book 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I would highly recommend reading this series in order. It will help with getting to know the members of the band and the important people in their lives and some events overlap in each book.

This story features Connor and Ronni aka Mae. Connor is everything you want in a book boyfriend. Big guy that's larger than life with a gentle soul, heart of gold, and loyal to family and anyone he cares about, sometimes when he probably shouldn't be. He's a natural caretaker. Ronni, an actress, grew up fast but missed a lot along the way. She learns some of life's hardest lessons early in life. She may seem naive, but it's more like she's just unaware by her lack of experience. She learns quickly and wants to right the many wrongs she has witnessed during her time in Hollywood.
When they meet, sparks fly, but but they both have baggage and both are famous in different industries. There are many ups, downs, trials and triumphs before they get their happily ever after. You will love their journey. Once again, Kaylene Winter has written well thought out complex characters that you can relate to. Her stories don't just happen in a short period of time, but rather years, making the story feel all the more real to the reader. Even if the rock star trope isn't at the top of your favorites, I think this book, this series would still be a great read because despite them being a world famous band, the focus is on their relationships and them as sons, friends, normal guys who just happen to be famous for the music they make. So take a deep breath, suck it up and be Fearless!

An amazing love story set against adversity

The third book in the LTZ series is as amazing as the first two. Connor and Ronni's journey towards love is rocky ro say the least. The story is well written and the characters as always are written with great thought and care.

The story covers difficult issues in a sensitive and considered way, and is sensitive to those issues.

All in all a fantastic read.

Connor and Ronni are one of those couples who just can’t seem to get their timing right. Lots of will they won’t they drama. It was funny to watch them hide their relationship from the band and the paparazzi. Connor is a big growly teddy bear who loves his Mae to bits. He’s very protective and has been hurt badly in the past by lies and omissions. Ronni found a creative way to purge her demons and get her vengeance. LTZ rules! Great story with lots of angst.
