Jabari needed help, and Cassie needed therapy. This was silly because Jabari was crazy, like literally. I did love how he wasn't tolerating any B.S. when it came to Cassie and her baby, but his methods...nuts! I'm interested enough to check out the other stories for his brothers.

DNF
Cassie was kind of weak to me. Why didn’t she just break up with Sam? All that back and forth for what? To say you have a man? Jabari was straight up unhinged.
The prologue didn’t need to be italicized. The whole “no diddy” reference was kind of tasteless, especially since the main characters name was Cassie and was a victim of physical abuse and SA. That made me DNF.

Fun Ride with a Stalker MMC
I love these OTT jealous MMCs with slick mouths and unhinged tendencies , so of course, this one takes the cake. Jabari is all of those things. He has great dick, giving, funny with the slickness and a certified G. He had the craziest shenanigans but the biggest of all...this 🥷🏾 creeps into her house (he stole a key), finds her smex toy (🌹), licks it, sniffs it, jerks off, jizz all on it. Records the session and sends it to the woman he's stalking. Poor thing never stood a chance. What was meant as a jump off moment, turned into Jabari's sexy self completely stalking that woman. And when she says she's engaged this fool had the nerve to bring "what your man gotta do with me" energy into the convo. "You betta not give him my pussay" he rumbles in her ear..whewweeee. gotta love these stories. Cassie is no wilting flower. Her background is rough and it's why in my opinion these Urban Romances are like Dark Romance x Black authors and I gobble them up. These stories are gritty but I appreciate the strong storytelling and escapism. Cassie got her fairy tale in a way. Itbwas just with that crazy shenanigan having 🥷🏾

Like the drakos Mafia books, the weakest Mafia ever and very predictable. Jabari was an annoying weird oversized kid, very immature and his actions were unrealistic. They are always getting caught slipping for them to be so tough. But they all come off as only having reckless mouths but not really being about that life. Certain things didn't make sense, like Jabari pretending to date Sam's mother but nothing coming of it. Or the things with her cousins suddenly coming out of the blue, nothing happened what was the point? Didn't care for this.

not going to finish
I’m not gone finish this book. It’s 50% in and the two main characters are still not together, and not really showing signs of doing so anytime soon. This is one reason I hate when authors start the FMC is relationships they’re not supposed to be in, it takes entirely too long to make them leave. It’s irritating for the reader after while, because no matter what the boyfriend, significant other, etc does they never leave meanwhile the whole time they complain and really want to be with someone else. First off once you start yelling and showing signs of mistreatment to my child that SHOULD HAVE BEEN IT. Other than stupid Cassie I didn’t not like the MMC, he was super immature. There was nothing to make him desirable in my opinion. On top of that he was another man character denying he has feelings for a female, like are these authors wanting these men lowkey gay? I don’t understand if u like someone u like them tf are you in denial for? That has gotten real tired. Man we not even gone start in the errors in here. Other than not liking the characters this book had no real redeeming qualities. I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. And I really was trying to force myself to like the book because it has been a DROUGHT in good books lately. But I couldn’t force it. This was bad imo.

left a lot to be desired
I would have liked to see the storyline slow down and really build on the relationship between Jabari and Cassi. Felt rushed felt more like a recap vs a a story. I think the storyline had. A lot of potential just not executed as well as I would have liked.

Beware there are alot errors in this book but I think the storyline was good and worth the read. Jabari is simply the most unhinged and hilarious brother out of the whole family.

It was just okay,Jabari stalking this lady and ruining her relationship while not knowing what he wanted was the part that ruined this book for me. Like given all he knew about miss girl idk why he didn’t do the work to figure himself out before barging into her and her child’s life. While they eventually figured it out, the romance fell short for me cus his reasoning was childish AF “I never been in a relationship” okay well you knew that after this whole time and still did all you did to pursue her and ain’t have no plan …

All you can do is LOVE JABARI
There were some errors but despite them, this was an amazing read. Not only was it an amazing read, it was funny, because Jabari is a fool 🤣🤣!!!
Jabari being a person who talk bad about his brothers being whimps and whipped to only become the same way! This man played to much lol. The fact that he was spying on Cassie and causing havoc was beyond me. When this placed cameras in her house, then had a key to her without her knowing had me in tears! When I say he had no respect for Sam, I mean just that - no respect at all 🤣! Jabari was determined to get what was his! But let’s not forget about his tiger 🤣🤣🤣🤣 this man didn’t have no dang tiger but instead had a CAT and was done with him! He is the true definition of crashing out behind what’s his and he did just that until he got her!
Cassie, my girl had it rough when all she wanted and desired was to love, give love and be loved properly! She went mental, verbal and physical abuse until she finally accepted her feelings for Mr. Creed (Jabari). She didn’t know what to do because he was not letting up! I honestly didn’t think she wanted him too! Now as for her and Sam, that man was NOT for her! Like everyone keeps telling her, he was too soft for her - lol! But when that man yelled at Carlie, I was ready to fight him 😡!!! Regardless of Jabari behavior, she accepted it and allow their love to grow to what it ended up being! Oh almost forget, the way she put them hands on Tina was everything! She should’ve done the same thing for Cresha!
Carlie, I loved lil mama energy! At a young age, she knew Jabari didn’t play about her or her mama! She knew all she has to do was call him and he was coming hard behind her - and she did just that when Sam yelled at her! Her lil self had him rapped around her finger and I loved all of it.
This overall read was everything and I was so pleased with the outcome! Cassie was able to receive the love she needed and deserved! As Jabari, he was able to know that there was nothing wrong with loving one woman and allowing her to love him. What he did know was he has MEET HIS MATCH!!!

This was a new to me author and I like odd up the book as one of my book club reads and I am happy it was chosen.
When I got into this book I realized it was related to a previous book/series; however the way it was written it can be read as a stand alone which I appreciated. Jabari was a little touched and has drastic measures to get back into Cassie’s life but it worked for him especially after her boyfriend showed her true colors.
Cassie had been through a lot in her life with men and it took a turn of events for Jabari for him to realize that he wanted to be more for her than he thought he was capable of. While it was a little predictable who was behind his situation, I am glad everything worked out for Jabari and Cassie and I enjoyed them together.

The book was good! I’m not going to lie!
The plot was nice altho, I wished I got more details to the beginning of Cassie and Jabari story more but yeah.
Sam being killed in the book wasn’t enough for me. I got that Jabari wanted to kill him for almost getting him killed but he could have tortured him more instead of killing him tho but idk that’s just me.
And also, what happened to Sam’s mum. They just left her after me finding out that she was lowkey in the talking stage with Jabari. She thought that was her man and he was like using her tho. I believed it was for money.
Cassie getting her spa, new friends and family and a husband on the way ( Jabari) was good for her 🩷
Overall: The book was good and it has a nice plot to it as well.

This is my first Des’ book and it did not disappoint. Cassie had a hell of a time with men, an ex who abused her and a current fiance who was a terrible mama’s boy. Jabari and Cassie have a weekend romance after a wedding and then they went their separate ways. Jabari never forgot about her and started applying pressure. The way he beat Sam’s ass for yelling at Carlie had me in love with the man. I thought he was going to fuck it up when he told her he did not want a relationship, but he got it right. Carlie’s bitch ass cousin deserved the ass whooping she gave her. Jabari was a crazy man and I loved every second of it.

Good read, but flawed due to editing errors
First, I have to say I enjoyed reading Jabari’s story. What I didn’t enjoy was the many, many errors in the book, from missing words to doubled words in a sentence. It got so bad I had to play detective to figure out what the author was trying to say.
Jabari was a bit of a stalker , like this man put cameras throughout this woman house. That was not ok! Cassie was cool once she finally found some backbone and stopped letting everyone dictate her life! I still say it’s a solid read, just wish it was edited better. The ending was a bit abrupt, but such is life sometimes.

I really enjoyed this read! The playboy met his match and fell in love! Jabari tried so hard to fight the way Cassie made him feel. I’m glad he finally gave into them, because Sam was an awful boyfriend to Cassie and when he shouted at Carlie and made her cry , I wanted to leap in that book and yoke him up! However, Jabari handled him in true fashion! Cassie’s cousins were awful! Glad she handled them!

Quick and juicy read
The first page of this book wrapped me up. Cassie ends up in the er and with an unexpected pregnancy after being beat up by her boyfriend she can't escape. After being saved from one demon years later she finds herself in a mediocre engagement just to find out he's aggressive as well. She finds herself being protected and loved by the unhinged Jabari but will she allow him in her life????

So Jabari was slightly irritating when his hot & coldness but I understood. When you lose people that means the most, you wanna save yourself from hurt. In the process he almost lost Cassie. For Cassie to go through so much & still find her voice I was proud of her. Sam was a punk & that cousin Tina needed more done to her. Little Carlie was adorable & the rest of the gang have true family vibes. Still have a few questions but that’s just me.

Unhinged. The word that best described Jabari and his ways; there was no limit to what he’d do for his Cassie. This was a comical read with some emotional elements. I’m happy Cassie was able to blossom and Jabari was able to accept that he deserved a family outside of his own and that it was okay to trust and let someone in.

and I don’t like playboys
I did not like how Jabari was popping up on Cassie but at the same time didn’t want to commit..He did too much putting up cameras and stuff at her house but was not willing to settle down until he got robbed and Cassie ended up being there for him. But men be really weird like that in real life. This was a good read.
I did not like how Jabari was popping up on Cassie but at the same time didn’t want to commit..He did too much putting up cameras and stuff at her house but was not willing to settle down until he got robbed and Cassie ended up being there for him. But men be really weird like that in real life. This was a good read.

Jabari was definitely crazy and unhinged!
Cassie went thru a lot. She needed someone to truly love her.
This was a quick and straightforward story.
This was my first book by Des. I didn’t read the previous series where Jabari was introduced, it didn’t take away from knowing what’s going on in this book.
I do hope there is more of Jabari and Cassie.

hmm..
At some points Jabari did do too much! I’m glad Cassie didn’t get stuck with her child’s father or even Sam yeah but Jabari od sometimes lol but at the same time it was cute. I loved the fact Cassie never got pregnant by Jabari too soon! Yall know most these stories our girl be pregnant by the second month lol. But overall I enjoyed this book.
