Exceptional. Despite the occasional typo and a few character switches, this book had a great storyline. I was impressed with the tone of the dialogue…it took a different approach to a post apocalyptic event. The characters were diversified, but blended very well as everything evolved.
Disappointed that after 1300 pages, the conclusion of this harrowing journey ended in a DINER! I truly hope that the author is going to give us a sequel!

A good plot and good characters. There were some very glaring editing mistakes which really messed up the flow. Lori's late husband was Jesse but in one of the books he was called Steve. Really very disappointed in the ending. It finishes very abruptly in a diner still nowhere near Seattle or not having searched for Lindsay's father. No mention of further books. No consideration for the reader at all. If I'd realised how it ended I would never have bought it.

the ending of last part of series

Awesome series. One of the best I’ve read, but I would really like for there to be an ending to the last part. It was an abrupt ending at the diner without knowing whether they made it to the sanctuary or not. Please Mr. Wise give us an ending book. Thank you

Sadly, there is no resolution to the story after reading over 1300 pages. As mentioned by other readers there is some issue with consistency throughout the books with names. Many characters injuries are ignored after the event as though it never occurred. However, I became very invested in the characters and enjoyed the book(s) immensely.

Loved the books but there’s NO ENDING! The last book I read they are eating in a diner and it just ends! With nothing saying there are more books to come or if that’s it. Wouldn’t have read the first three books if I’d known it would end like that. There’s absolutely no resolution to the series or the characters stories. Very disappointing

I never expected to be so disappointed for the book to end. Every stop they made was a new adventure. I felt like I was one of the pack. Now let’s see if I can find another series to better this one. Not very likely. Great job Clay Wise. I loved the stories.

Excellent book which has great characters and plot. A scary representation of what can happen to us at any moment and why we should prepare ourselves. I hope the ending means that there is more to come in this series soon, it left me hanging and wanting more.

Good read

I liked the story very much the confirmation that there can still be good people willing to help mothers in need. I did not like how it ends without telling if they find Heathers father or reach Seatle.

Okay

Grammar/punctuation issues and a few oops in the story, a big one in final book that has a person with one arm suddenly putting one hand flat over the other? It started okay, but the ending isn't great.

I wanted to really like this series, but unfortunately the narrator started name changing a character and later began mispronouncing another character’s name. Near the end, the author messed up by briefly forgetting what had happened to another character. SIGH! AND it ends with a cliffhanger.

Is there an ending?

An engaging story, but it just stopped! Nothing was resolved, and there are many questions left unanswered. I assume there are more books coming in the series,but there is no mention of that.

Sleepless nights!

Great story! Good character development. Reading every spare minute I had and some I didn't have. Lost sleep but worth it. Nice to read about strong women.
Just start reading and you will be taken away from your worries.
