Ayla has always lived in the shadows—of her confident best friends, her insecurities, and the relentless bullying she endures at school. When her mother is sent away for work, Ayla is forced to live with the enigmatic Darkwood twins, Adris and Reed, who also happen to be best friends with her tormentor, Rina.

Rina’s threats are clear: stay away from the twins, or the bullying will only get worse. Ayla has always obeyed—especially when it comes to Adris, whose sharp edges and sharp words have made him easy to dislike. But as their paths collide, she begins to see a different side of him, one that challenges everything she thought she knew.

Life in the sprawling Darkwood estate forces Ayla to confront her fears and make impossible choices. Will she protect herself by staying in the shadows, or risk everything to stand up to Rina and claim her place in the light?

With themes of self-discovery, resilience, and the power of unexpected friendships, Nothing and Everything is a heartfelt story about finding your voice, even when the odds seem stacked against you.

First of all, A big thank you to the author for giving me an ARC copy.

I would like to start with how beautifully written this book was, I enjoyed all the thoughtful words and the writing style.

The characters!! So complex, each of them with a personal struggle, each of them with a personal story. I loved that. I don't even know how to write this review without giving a spoiler.

I loved the story. I loved Ayla's journey. I love that it was HER journey, that she found herself on her own pace. Yes, she recieved help from Adris, Veronica, Keith and all but, I love that the author didn't make Adris her reason.

And Keith!! OMG I love Keith

Overall, amazing book, 5☆ Thank you for such a great book.

First let's talk about author i read her first book by chance and totally loved it and this book us even better her writing style is what i like and i love the way she describes a scene in detail. Now i can say that i will read everybook written by her, she is one of the best muslim authors I've ever read.

This book is about a girl name Ayla who gets bullied in school. She is enduring the bullying and only her two friends knows this. But when her mom had to go to a business trip she is forced to live with the Darkwoods her mother employers.
There are darkwood twins Adris and Reed. Ayla thinks they are obnoxious and arrogant and don't like to befriend people lower than their class.

But will her misconception about them can change after living in the same house? Get the novel and find out i will not spoil the fun for you😅😂.

This novel is so emotional i didn't think that i will cry while reading the starting chapters but i was in tears during the first 6 chapters. I really like the way the bullying is described with so much detail and pain and how ayla suffered pain and the way she gained courage to stand up for herself.
One thing that i really like that there are a few chapters that are the pov of other characters which give us outlook on their side of story.

This book can be life changing for those who suffer from bullying or abuse and want to stand up for themselves.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

i am not usually into YA books. i don’t really care to read about high school and prom and all that. but i truly could not put this one down, y’all!

the complexity of all of the characters and the absolutely devastating storyline really had me in a chokehold. there were characters i hated, characters i loved, scenes that broke my heart, and scenes that healed me a little. this book was such a sad and heavy story.

ayla was such a beautifully tragic soul. i wanted to heal her and hug her and wrap her in bubble wrap. she was so well written as a character and everything in my heart reached out to hers as well. the things she went through, thought, and felt had me wanting to cry for her.

i am not a forgiving person so reading about rina and everything that happened with her was not a fun ride for me. it’s hard for me to move past things and this was no exception.

alden and adris were such good friends to ayla and as the story progressed there was obviously one i was rotting for the most. i loved both of these boys because they both had their own stories and baggage to drag along with them. again, the complexity and dimensions these literal teenagers had is so crazy and well written.

all in all, i really liked this book. it was sad and heavy but the ending made it all worth it. it is free on KU and please check the trigger warnings before reading!

This was such a wonderful read! It took on the elements of grief and overcoming it. It also showed the importance of forgiveness for yourself. I absolutely adored reading this! I just wish we had more scenes with the main leads so we could see more buildup.
