My coven doesn't care if I live or die, but they would kill me themselves rather than let these bear shifters near me.
Aurelia–When I refused to fall in line and follow my coven’s plan for me–sell my virginity to the highest bidder, then accept my life as the coven whore–I found myself out in the cold and trying to fend for myself. My family doesn’t care if I live or die, and I will die if I can’t find blood to drink and shelter from the sun. Just when I’m sure it’s over, someone carries me to safety. But now that I’ve been saved, I’m realizing that my savior might actually be a lot more than I bargained for. Not only is the gentle giant who carried me to safety and fed me from his own veins a bear shifter, but it turns out there are two more bear shifters on this mountain.
Bernard–I wasn’t thinking when I saved the woman I found in the snow. I wasn’t thinking when I let her drink from me. I definitely wasn’t thinking when I held her in my arms and allowed myself to hope that maybe I could make her happy.
Bryce–Someone on this ranch has to keep things moving, and despite what Barrett would tell you, it isn’t him. I’m hard at work trying to keep our business afloat when a bombshell in the form of the sexiest vampire I’ve ever seen explodes all over my life. I know the right thing to do is leave her alone and let nature take its course, but I’ve never been very good at doing the right thing.
Barrett–It’s bad enough that I’ve been running this ranch basically on my own since Bernard's parents died. It’s bad enough that I’m the only one I can count on around here to get anything done. What’s even worse? When the two guys I’m supposed to be able to count on decide that rescuing a sick vampire and then fighting over that vampire’s affections is more important than doing their jobs. So help me, if this place falls apart because of some worthless bloodsucker, I will make sure that Bryce and Bernard pay.
Saved By My Three Bears is a steamy, vampiric reimagining of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It is a novella length first in a series with a HFN ending.
Aurelia, a vampire exiled from her coven and left to die in the snow, expects the sun or deep hibernation to claim her—until Bernard, a reclusive bear shifter who's never seen a female before, finds her barely alive. Drawn to protect her, he offers his blood when she begs for it, and their tender connection begins.
Enter Bryce, Bernard’s fellow shifter, who sets out to find his missing friend but instead finds a vampire female in heat. Sparks fly fast, but when Bernard returns, Bryce realizes he may have crossed a line. Barrett, the third shifter, is less than thrilled about the distraction Aurelia brings, preferring to focus on their mysterious ranch duties—though his resistance is clearly set up for future unraveling.
This short story is a quadruple POV paranormal romance and the start of a contemporary bear shifter/vampire serial (something I didn’t realize going in). I really enjoyed Aurelia’s character development and the gentle start of her relationship with Bernard. The intimacy between Aurelia, Bernard, and Bryce was also well done, though I found Barrett’s aloofness a bit frustrating—hopefully his character arc deepens in the next installment.
The pacing is quick—maybe a little too quick at times—and I do wish we had more background on the male leads. Still, the setup is intriguing, the chemistry works, and I’m confident the author has more in store for us. The fated mate connection between Aurelia and the shifters comes with high stakes, especially since vampire and shifter worlds don’t mix... and the risk of discovery looms large.
This is an easy, enjoyable one-sitting read that ends on a mild cliffhanger but with a satisfying Happy For Now. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for the next installment.
3.25 stars. Aurelia, the female vampire lead, has been exiled from her coven and left to die. Slogging through the snow, she knows she’s either going to die in the sun or go into a hibernation so deep she expects to never wake.
Bernard, one male bear shifter lead, has never left his mountain. Born and raised on it, he’s never seen a female but, when he finds Aurelia buried in the snow, he feels drawn to protect her and feed her his blood when she pleads for it.
Bryce, the second male bear shifter lead, went looking for Bernard when he’d been missing for a while. He didn’t expect to find a female in heat but he’s more than willing to help her! Then Bernard returns and he sees he’s overstepped.
Barrett, the third male bear shifter lead, has no interest in the female who has distracted his coworkers and he wishes they’d get back on task…
This short story is quadruple POV, and the beginning of a contemporary, bear shifter/vampire romance serial (which I did not realise when I started). I enjoyed Aurelia’s character development, and the sweetness of Aurelia and Bernard’s initial relationship development. I enjoyed the intimacy between Aurelia, Bernard, and Bryce. I felt that there wasn’t a lot of helpful background provided for the male characters. I also wasn’t thrilled with the level of disengagement from Barrett, which I assume will be addressed in future episodes.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
Saved By My Three Bears (Bear Mountain Men #1) by Kayla Brooks is a steamy paranormal romance novella. The book follows Aurelia, a vampire who has been ostracized by her coven and left for dead, until she is rescued by the ruggedly handsome Bernard, a bear shifter who is instantly drawn to her. As Aurelia recovers under Bernard's tender care, their mutual attraction grows, leading to sizzling intimate encounters. However, the arrival of Bryce, another bear shifter, throws a wrench into their budding relationship. Bryce is also irresistibly attracted to Aurelia, leading to a complicated love triangle and scorching MFM scenes. While the erotic elements are well-written and titillating, some readers may find them too explicit. The paranormal world-building is intriguing but light, leaving many questions about the vampire and shifter societies unanswered. Although the novella tells a complete story, the ending feels somewhat abrupt, and most readers will likely be left wanting more. Hopefully the next instalment in the Bear Mountain Men series will pick up where this one leaves off and further develop the compelling characters and their relationships. Overall, Saved By My Three Bears is an enjoyable, quick read for fans of red-hot paranormal ménage romances featuring sexy bear shifters.
I think this has the potential to be a great series. This is a very quick read and it seems to set the stage for much more in upcoming books (not sure how many books this author is planning). It was a bit rushed and I think the author could have expanded on it some more but I am going to give the author the benefit of the doubt at this point. I am sure that there is much more of a background on each of the characters that still needs to be told.
Two of the three bear shifters realize that vampire Aurelia is their fated mate and soon start building a connection/relationship with her. That fated mate connection comes with huge problems because shifter and vampires do not mix. So far the third shifter is not happy to even know about her. He worries that if the vampires know she is at their ranch, they will come prepared for battle - a battle that the bear shifters can not win. I am sure that as the story develops that will be much more to the relationship between the four of them. Time will tell. But for what I read so far, this is an enjoyable story and easy to read in one sitting. Be aware that it does end on a mild cliffhanger, but the author does tell the reader that it does end on a Happy For Now.
Abandoned to the wilderness, vampire Aurelia is rescued by a bear shifter. Bernie brings her to his spare cabin, where he feeds and warms her up. Aurelia feels something for the burly man, but her thoughts are cut short when he suddenly leaves. Another man, Bryce, appears and comforts Aurelia as her body betrays her to a feverish craving. Bernie comes back, bringing Barrett with him, and the latter is not pleased over Aurelia's presence. After realizing Aurelia is going into heat like a shifter, Bernie and Barrett bring her back to their actual cabin and have a fun little bonding experience, much to Barrett's dislike.
It was 96 pages, and most of it was Aurelia's feelings of wanting and craving, but not having a goal in mind or an idea of what she actually wants. There is no explanation of why she was abandoned to the wild, nor any exploration of the bond she, Bryce, and Bernie are feeling. Barrett barely makes an appearance, let alone do anything productive, so the title is woefully inaccurate. It should be: Saved by My Bear and Seduced by Him and His Brother. I'd read the next one if only to get some answers. Definitely not in this for the lackluster spice. I only gave it so many peppers because of quantity over quality, plus one unfiltered group scene.
This is a novella length steamy vampire reimagining of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. There is a fair amount of spice so please review content warnings. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own.
Tropes and themes include: ✨Why choose ✨Bear shifters ✨Vampire's ✨Isolated mountain men ✨Fated mates
Rating: 4/5 Stars 3/5 Flames
The Lovely: I really enjoyed how two of the three shifters jumped right in to take care of the FMC, especially the first one she meets. He may not know what he’s doing but you can tell he’s trying his best. And the FMC appreciates it.
Recommendation: I think this has the potential to be a fantastic story and I am definitely interested in reading more books in this series as they released. I also enjoyed this as a quick and steamy read.
I never thought there would be a time in my life where a book called Saved By My Three Bears would make me emotional, but here we are. All I could think was, Poor Bernard! Barrett was absolutely awful toward him, like borderline emotionally abusive (especially considering his role in Bernard’s life) and that moment of defeat for Bernard, after the fight with Bryce and Barrett? Heartbreaking! The title and description of the book are slightly misleading, because only two bears saved and had anything to do with Aurelia. Barrett literally only gave her nasty looks twice, and that was the extent of their interaction. This book definitely would have benefited from being a bit longer. I know it’s a novella, but I would’ve liked a bit more, all around.

This was a decent opening to what seems will be a series full of spice and a little bit of conversation. A sexy, paranormal take on goldilocks and the the bears.
Aurelia is running for her life, from her abusive coven, and finds herself lost in the woods, starving, and mostly likely dying.
Rescued by Bernard, the youngest bear, they form an instant connection. In comes Bryce, also forming an instant connection with Aurelia. Sexy times ensue…
The only relationship not really explored was with Barrett, but maybe that will come in subsequent books.
I am not a huge fan of the "Im a virgin, but instinctively know what to do" thing with Aurelia. It's ok to be messy and unsure. At least we get that with Barnard.
The story ended on a happy and satisfied note.

I just finished this book, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. I say this because I'm never sure if I will end up liking something written by an author that I haven't read from before. I was given an ARC of this book, and am leaving my honest review and opinions of it. The story was well written and easy to follow, but it was too short. I would have loved for the story to be a bit more developed. (If that is the right word?). I wanted to learn more about why Aurelia was running from her coven and her past, or to know more backstory about the brothers. I plan on continuing to read the next books in this series, and am eager to see where it goes from here. Keep up the good work. I know writing and publishing must be challenging.
It was a great read and I wish I had more! Can't wait until the series is out.
If you are looking for something with paranormal fated-mates with high levels of steam, this is it. It's a quick read that will have you flipping through all of the pages in one sitting. Though the introductions of our main characters are short and to the point, you get to see their personalities develop on the page. Between have one grumpy bear, one innocent bear, and one lusty bear, our vampire doesn't stand a chance of being left alone. You are thrown into the unknown, the impossible, the heat, the naivety, and the potential happy-ever-after. I highly recommend.

Aurelia, a vampire, banished from her people, is dying. With no food source, and in the sunlight, it drains her quickly.
Bernard scouting the edge of his territory, smells a scent that draws him. When he sees Aurelia, he quickly takes her back to a remote cabin on their property.
Barrett sends Bryce to find Bernard who hasn't returned, when he finds Aurelia in the cabin. He realises what is happening to her and tries to help. But when Bernard returns they soon realise they may need to do more to help her.
Bernard feels an immediate connection to Aurelia and so does Bryce. These men will protect and cherish Aurelia, something she never felt when she was with her family.

This story offers an exciting mix of vampire drama, bear shifter romance, and survival tension. Aurelia’s struggle for independence from her oppressive coven is compelling, and her unexpected entanglement with the three bear shifters brings plenty of heat and emotional stakes. The ranch setting adds a fresh backdrop for this paranormal tale, though the pacing occasionally feels rushed as the relationships develop. Fans of steamy, unconventional romance will enjoy this whirlwind of passion, danger, and redemption. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is a very steamy story with a lot of heat. It is about a vampire who is kicked out of her group in the hot sun, she is hungry and it is snowing like a blizzard. She is also going into heat. I loved this story and can not wait to read more from Kayla Brooks. This story is fast-paced and a page-turner. I highly recommend this book, so if you like bear shifters I think you will love this story too. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is a very quick, spicy, instalove read. It's a novella length story and moves pretty quickly. We don't get a ton of details on anyone. We know a little bit about Aureila & Bernard's pasts but not much about Bryce or Barrett. Hopefully we'll find out more in the next installment. I would've loved a little more to this story. It kind of felt more like an extended prologue. Despite the short length I think it was an excellent read and will definitely check out the next book.

Aurelia accepts she is dieing and sits to accept her fate. But what she didn't expect was to be rescued.
This is a fast paced steamy novel of a female vampire that meets three very large bear shifters. Just when she thought she was at the end of her life she is given a second chance that she doesn't feel she deserves. But these bear shifters are willing to show her that she is worth saving and so much more.

Well the title said Saved By My Three Bears and bear three is missing. Barrett is so far an unpleasant creature so hopefully the next book whips him in line. Aurelia is a different vampire then I’ve read before so I’m excited to see what she becomes. I feel for Bernard he should not have been trapped on the mountain for so many years and at least Bryce seems to want him to have more than just Barrett telling him what to do. I hope the next book ties the story together a bit more

The story felt a bit rushed and left me feeling confused. With a little background on the characters, we quickly dive into the more explicit scenes, which made it difficult to connect. I would have appreciated more depth and context about the characters and the world they inhabit, as it would allow for a richer and more engaging experience.
New author for me this was a wonderful fast paced quick read with a unique storyline where a vampire female is dying and saved by a bear shifter plus his brother. An impossible event happens which the bears have to fix. 2 of the 3 bears save her life while the Thurs bear wants no part of things.
A spicy fun story with interesting details and good description of the event the plot is based on. Can't wait for part 2i received an arc copy from book sirens and this is my honest voluntary review.
This book is great for a quick and easy read. I wish the three male characters were less defined. Each had a very clear and stated personality, and I wish more was left to be assumed. Other than that it was a well-written, short, and easy read. Books in this genre tend to be drawn out and get boring, but this was the exact opposite. I am excited for the next book to get a conclusion to the story and to see Aurelia's and Barrett's story.
I loved this delightful story, filled with amazing characters, extraordinary stories, thrilling, beautiful and delicious romantic adventures and a heartwarming ending. I love vampire Aurelia and bear shifters Bernard and Bryce, they have beautiful chemistry and so wonderful together. Fated mates and start of a great series. I can’t wait for next book 🥰

i enjoyed reading this book primarily because it was an unusual pairing. well not exactly pairing, as pairs mean just 2, but you know what i mean. i like that beyond the obvious heat found in reverse harem books, there was a lot of emotion in it too. i would have preferred the story to have a more compelling draw but it was good overall.
This was not what I was expecting. It was interesting. I'm still trying to figure out what the heck happened to Aurelia and how she ended up on that mountain. It ends in a bit of an awkward way, but I'm guessing that means there's more to come. Lots of steam… I'm not sure if there is a real base to this tale.

I received an advanced review copy of this book, and I provide this review voluntarily. If you are looking for a quick (and naughty) read, give Saved by My Three Bears a try. This down and dirty vampire meets shape shifting bear story is entertaining and engaging. I’m sure we’ll see more fantasy romance from Kayla Brooks in the near future.
Look, I do realize that a reverse harem bear shifter story inspired by Goldilocks and the Three Bears is extremely silly and self-indulgent. I don't care. I love this book. I loved it while I was writing it, and I love it now that it's out in the world. I hope I still love it ten years from now when I've finished telling the whole story of Aurelia and her bear saviors.
The plot was interesting and the story spicy, but I felt the ending was a bit abrupt and left alot of unanswered questions. There is a book 2 though, so the story looks like it'll continue. I'm loving Bernard so far, he's so adorably awkward.

Aurelia is a vampire that has been turned away by her coven. She is left outside in the cold and is dying. Bernard is a bear shifter and he is checking the fences in his territory when he comes upon Aurelia dying. He takes her to a shack and warms her up and feeds her. When his brothers find out they are discussing what to do with her. Bernard knows that she is his mate.
Lots of twist and turns throughout the story to keep me glued to the pages. Characters were relatable, their story was interesting, and I enjoyed following along. Detailed, fast pace, lots of drama and banter in this book. Highly recommend this hot and steamy story!!!!
