It's 1930s Nantucket, a time of prohibition, jazzy tunes, and swinging golf clubs under the summer sun. Looking for a bit of light-hearted fun, Dot O'Gorman, a young schoolteacher, decides to visit her twin brothers, who have summer jobs in the village of 'Sconset. She takes along her friend, Jane, hoping for madcap adventures and romance. Before the week is out, Dot finds herself serenaded by handsome but perhaps untrustworthy suitors, who may have more pressing business on their minds than love.
Will Dot's 'Sconset serenade be her saving grace or will it be her elegy?
Brings back memories of my mom's era, with jazzy tunes, outfits of the time, delicious cuisine, and 1930's slang, accompanied by a fun, romantic, mystery. An awesome addition to the first Tale of Nantucket; l hope the saga of Nantucket continues.
