GEMMA RULES contains a series of three novelettes in Mel Curtis' Hollywood Rules VALENTINE RULES, WEDDING RULES, and BRIDE RULES.

VALENTINE RULES Gemma Kent has become famous as a sexy mystery woman with the Twitter handle @GlitterfrostGem. Randy Farrell, the man Gemma can’t get out of her head, wants a date with @GlitterfrostGem, but the real Gemma is nothing like her twitter alter-ego.

WEDDING RULES Gemma Kent Rule's and Randy Farrell’s romance has moved beyond the Twittersphere into real world Hollywood. Can their budding relationship survive Hollywood gossip, out of control starlets and big time dreams?

BRIDE RULES Randy loves Gemma. Gemma loves Randy. That should be enough to guarantee a happily-ever-after, but Gemma has experience being the roadblock to someone's dreams and it's not a role she's eager to reprise. She won't stand in the way of Randy’s NBA dreams, even if it means setting him free on the side of L.A.’s busiest freeway.

Although Mel (who also writes as Melinda Curtis) has lived in Georgia and Texas, she's a California girl at heart. Her earliest memories are of life on an isolated 50-acre sheep ranch in rural Sonoma County, California. Picture rolling hills covered in brown grass, a eucalyptus forest, a long gravel driveway lined with plump sheep and no sidewalks. It was a big deal to drive into town on a one-lane road in a ramshackle, bubble-fendered pickup for an ice cream.

Flash forward to this century. Melinda lives in California's hot central valley with her husband - her basketball playing college sweetheart. With three kids the couple has done the soccer thing, the karate thing, the dance thing, the Little League thing and, of course, the basketball thing.

Melinda writes sweet to medium heat contemporary romances as Melinda Curtis and red hot reads as Mel Curtis. She loves writing romances about women who don't realize how strong they are until a hero comes along to show them, while capturing the wry humorous power struggle of falling in love - because, really, who lets the man have the last word?

I purchased a copy of the short novel Breaking The Rules book 4 : All My Love by Mel Curtis and this review was given freely.
A rocky, virgin, basketball based romance with family drama and multiple weddings. College student and The Dooley Foundation receptionist aka actress MiMi's best friend Gemma Kent aka Rules half sibling number 4 gets life and love advice from her half sister Cora which places her in a dating competition on her brother Blue's matchmaking reality show featuring her secret crush NBA coach Randy Farrell on Valentines Day.

This was a sweet and run read that kept me laughing. The author has out done herself giving you real emotion and drama that keeps you turning the pages. Gemma really struggles dealing with people, she just wants to be left alone behind closed doors to do her job. Her friends and family are always trying to bring her out dressing her up when she is more comfy in her boots and jeans. When Randy comes on the scene they get involved. He is trying to make a place for his self on the team. Gemma sees herself as keeping him from reaching his goal because he is trying to give both her and his game attention. One must be given up for him to make his way on the team it looks like she will be making that choice for him. When they both go to the same wedding things really heat up. Will they give in to the need for each other or will this be the end for them.

I really enjoyed this addition to this series it was fun to read. I got lost in the pages couldn’t put it down. I could really relate to them and what they were going through at time they really pulled on my heartstrings. It was wonderful to see Gemma come out of her shell and learn to trust. The author really did a wonderful job pulling me in with a believable read. It was well written with wonderful characters. Humor is always a BIG plus for me there is nothing like being taken away laughing and really enjoying what you are reading. This has been a wonderful series I can’t wait for the next one.

This is a three part story about Gemma. She's struggling with her job within the family business because she doesn't feel comfortable working with people. She just wants to work behind closed doors crunching numbers.
Her half sister and friend keep trying to change her appearance when all Gemma wants to do is be her combat boot wearing self.
She meets and get's involved with Randy an assistant coach for a basketball team who is trying to make his way as a player on the team. Gemma see's herself as the reason that he is struggling with being his best because his attention is divided. Even though she loves him she walks away from the relationship.
They find themselves in Vegas for a family wedding and can't ignore their feelings any longer.
This was the first book that I've read in this series and I'm looking forward to reading more.

I was given a copy of this story for an honest review. Any and all conclusions are mine and mine alone.

I absolutely loved Gemma and Randy's story. I have loved reading about Gemma in all the previous Rule books. To finally see Gemma get her happy ending was great. This was such a sweet romance between the 2. For anyone who enjoys the Rule books this is a must read. I can't wait to see if there is another Rule story to explore!
