This book is so full of juicy bible goodness and the richness of Gods grace it naturally leads you to worship. Brilliant reminder to apply truth to our lives in a way that liberates us enjoy god and love genuinely. I found the parts about grace giving us a clear conscience so helpful - grace frees us to say no to filling our lives with good works fuelled by obligation or guilt and enables us to give ourselves generously to things that he has called us to. Would thoroughly recommend for anyone growing tired of faith or just wanting to understand what grace is all about.

According to CS Lewis the one unique thing about Christianity is 'grace', so perhaps there is nothing more important in living a Christ-like life than getting a really good firm grip on grace.

And Terry Virgo's God's Lavish Grace is one of the best books available on grace. If I can illustrate it this way, I think Philip Yancey's What's So Amazing about Grace? is the best book that illustrates grace, the stories demonstrate grace beautifully. Just a wonderful book.

Virgo's book on the other hand teaches you about grace, it equips you with a more thorough biblical grasp of grace in the life of a believer, the difference between grace and law, (the treatment of Romans 7 being first rate) and how to both give of ourselves fully without drifting back into a functional works based faith.

As a church we're going to spend the autumn looking at grace and this book provides a superb foundation. Highly recommended. Essential reading in fact.

THIS BOOK!!! EXCELLENT! I was so profoundly moved by this book that it makes me want to go out and purchase 100 copies to pass out to everyone I know! You must read this book. God’s LAVISH grace changes everything. Terry Virgo has written and explained the impact and outworking of the grace of God so powerfully and yet so simply. It has led to a true revelation and renewal of my mind. His breakdown of Romans 7 and 8 were immensely helpful and the best I’ve ever read! I almost couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Thank you, Terry Virgo!

This is an excellent study on God’s grace, and the many facets of how it affects our lives. Very solidly Biblically yet not dry or hard to read. Would make a good group discussion book.

I don’t know if I just loved it because I read it with a group a few chapters at a time, but this book has really resonated with me. I loved so many of his analogies, and learned a lot from him walking through some of Romans. Would definitely recommend!

Was given this book to read by a friend and didn't think I would take to it, after the first chapter, which I found it difficult to get into. however so glad I persevered. One of the best Christian books I've read. Like a love to God, So relevant and helpful, Some of the analogies like the baby eagles will stay with me for a long time. Cannot recommend this book highly enough

A powerful book on the freeing, overflowing grace of God! Terry talks about how grace frees us from law, and Jesus’ death on our behalf has caused us to die to the law and to now be in the law of the Spirit of life. This book is a fresh reminder of how wonderful the grace of God is.

One of the best books on the subject. Though I would have some quibbles over secondary issues, this book is excellent. I read it two years ago at an important time spiritually and I look forward to reading it again.

Eye opening and deeply impacting teaching of God’s love

Very clearly God gave Terry a special understanding of grace, to free today’s people from the misunderstanding and misrepresentation of God’s true love to the world.

They say you should only write if you have something to say, and boy does Terry Virgo have something important to say. A beautiful, inspirational and deeply challenging book. I would recommend it to anyone seeking to know more of Jesus and His infinite grace.

This a great book to read by yourself or with a group. It is also a good book to read every year or so. It teaches and reminds us of God's deep and abiding love for us as individuals. Full of truth about who God is that we need to immerse ourselves in over and over. Very special book!

Perhaps Terry Virgo had a different audience in mind than me. I read this because I wanted to grow in my understanding and appreciation of God’s infinite grace, but I couldn’t help but think that this book was was aimed at newer Christians. It was an okay book that did in fact speak to Christians who were tired or discouraged, and did have some helpful insights, but it just too often felt like the author was skimming the surface of this topic rather than plumbing its depths.
