Heart of Saints

Summer

I’ve spent most of my life in fight-or-flight mode, doing whatever it takes to survive. But one reckless night with Knox Davenport changes everything. It was the first time I let myself want, the first time I let my guard down.

I had to leave. To protect myself… and my son.

When I came back, Knox was still as cocky, dangerous, and tempting as ever.

For the past fifteen years, we’ve stayed in each other’s lives—distant, cautious, walking a fine line between friendship and something neither of us dares to name. But now Knox is asking questions I can’t answer, dragging me deeper into the past I’ve fought to bury.

I can’t afford to let Knox in—but can I keep pushing him away?

Knox

As Vice President of the Sinners and Saints, people see the rough the reputation, the women, the easy charm. They don’t see the man underneath, the one who’s spent years searching for something real.

I thought I had something real with Summer Ivers—she was mysterious, quick-witted, impossible to resist. But just as fast as I found her, she was gone. She left town without a word, and when she came back, it was like that night together had never happened.

For fifteen years, I’ve never been able to shake the pull I feel toward her. The more time I spend with Summer—and the son she’s kept a secret from me—the harder it is to hold back.

Now, I’m done pretending. I want answers. I want her.

And this time, I'm not letting her go.

3.5 stars and rounding up to 4. I read the ARC. Started it this morning... Work interrupted my flow... But finished strong tonight.

That's right. So bingeable. Read it in a day.

We 🖤 Knox... My first motorcycle club cowboy! I'll need to read more of both.

I feel like I can't say much so I don't give away the plot. Check your triggers.

Now let's talk crumbs because Sloan is giving major FMC I wanna get to know vibes... Staying tuned.

That was a good fast paced book.
I signed up blind to this knowing these tropes would be it for me and I was right.
Knox was the definition of a hot biker, with his ways of handling business, and she was so broken and so wounded that absolutely broke my heart.

That man has the patience of a god because it took the slowest burn for them to be together and I loved it.

The only thing that was a bit strange was the gaps in the story, it made it a bit bland but other than that ‘Twas a good book.

Would def read the third.

Oh Knox, one of the few blonde MMCs I have learned to love, lol. In the first book, I loved him for his wit, but in the second, it was for his passion and loyalty. He has always done what's best for those around him, but now he embraces that if he doesn't do what's best for him, then he cannot be his best for them. He never wanted to be much of a playboy, but somehow earned that title. In the back of his mind, he always craved the woman who has kept him at arms length for 15 years.

Summer has hidden so much, and for a long time. She leads a life at the bar where she works, while keeping her personal life a couple of cities over. What happened one night 15 years ago is now in the spotlight. She is protective and guarded, having a hard time feeling safe, even with the whole of the Sinners and Saints club behind her. She can't outrun her past, especially the VP that is always on her mind.

These two got the love they needed. Although, it did take them some time to get there. It was sad to read the struggles Summer went through and why she has all of the walls built up around her. Knox, once he gets past his mind block, is a perfect fit for her life, and the secret she holds.

Thank you so much for the ARC! I received an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book! I am unfortunately in one of the worst reading slumps I’ve been in a long time, which is why I am not docking stars as it’s very possible it’s just my brain. But I struggled to connect with the characters in this book which honestly broke my heart cause I absolutely loved Knox in the first book.

Overall I did like the premise of the book, I absolutely love the MC romance with the cowboy side of it. Summer, the FMC, has truly went through so much and I did like reading her part of the story. Definitely on the slow burn side but the spice was very good regardless🌶️

ARC REVIEW

From the moment I picked up the first book in this series, I knew these talented authors would become auto-buy authors for me. Their fast-paced, engaging writing style delivers everything you could want in this genre—and does it exceptionally well.

I was utterly obsessed with Knox. His charm had me giggling, and the chemistry between the main characters made my heart soar. On top of that, Knox’s relationship with Levi was incredibly endearing, adding another layer of depth to the story.

This book is a must-read!

♱ heart of sin by danielle sarah and nouha jullienne ♱

The fact they pinned for each other for 15 years was SLOWLY BEAUTIFUL.

Since the first moment this book was amazing. The plot was intriguing, emotional and so engaging.

Knox and Summer love story wasn’t an easy one. Summer is a survivor that had endured so much pain and trauma. But she didn’t let that define her. She was a caring, sweet and strong woman that since the first moment she learned she was pregnant she did everything for her child.

Knox was the man Summer really needed. I loved how patient and passionate he was for her. He respected her and her space. Knox relationship with Summer’s child was beyond sweet.

Levi loved his mom so fiercely and he was so caring too. He was all a thirteen year old boy can be. He was struggling without a father figure in his life but Knox took him under his wing and made him see how much his mother adored him.

A special thanks to Luna Literary and the author for allowing me to be part of the Arc team.

ARC REVIEW:

RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

TROPES: Secret Baby(with a twist), One Night Stand, Cowboy, Motorcycle romance, BossxEmployee, Single mom, Reverse Grumpy x Sunshine, He falls first and harder, Pining, Second Chance, Boy Obsessed

TW: Sexual assault of a minor (MC), graphic violence, kidnapping (not MCs), torture (not MCs), physical abuse (MC), mention of domestic abuse, emotional and verbal abuse (MC), pregnancy

I'm a sucker for reverse grumpy x sunshine and pining, so this book was right up my alley

The MMC, Knox, definitely gave me Jax Teller vibes but make him really sweet. I loved Knox so much, he was kind and funny but also sexy and fiercely protective of the people he cares about

I'm also a sucker for nicknames, so I loved that he called her Sunshine and Darlin' and when she called him Cowboy and Lover Boy.

I like his friendships with Jax and Callan, as well as his friendship with Naya. I honestly would've liked even more scenes with them because I enjoyed their banter.

My heart broke for the FMC, Summer. She deserved so much better than what she had growing up but I'm so glad she's now surrounded by people who love her and will look out for her and her son, Levi.

I loved seeing Knox and Levi bonded through barrel racing. He was really great with Levi and I loved the bond they had. Knox was really the father Levi needed and deserved

I was heartbroken by what we learned at the end of the book, I felt so bad for Summer, Levi and Knox in that scene 💔

Though I really enjoyed the book, there were some things I didn't particularly like, which is why my rating wasn't higher.

I didn't necessarily agree with some of the FMCs actions, especially regarding Levi and his father. I just felt like she made some rash decisions, which led to so much heartbreak for everyone involved. But I also understand that she was ruled by her fear which led to these things happening.

There was also a specific kind of scene that I personally hate in MC romances (or other dark romances), which leads to somewhat of a 3rd act break up. They weren't officially broken up, but it definitely cause a fight between them.

Overall, I really liked this book. The characters were very endearing and I was invested in seeing them get their HEA.

Thank you to Luna Literary as well as Nouha Jullienne and Danielle Sarah for this ARC

OH. MY. SAINTS.

Y’all, this book had me gripping my ohone like it was my lifeline. I gasped. I cried. I screamed into the void (and by void, I mean my pillow at 2 AM). This book is like that one ex who keeps pulling you back in—but in a way that won’t emotionally destroy you. Okay, maybe it will. But it’s worth it.

Let’s talk tropes because WOW.

Single mom/secret baby with a twist – I live for a good secret baby reveal, and this one? CHEF’S KISS. The twist had my jaw on the floor.

Boss x Employee – The tension? The forbidden longing? The "we shouldn’t, but we will" energy? I ATE IT UP.

Second chance romance – There’s something about two people who’ve been through the wringer finding their way back to each other that just hits.

Unrequited love – My angsty little heart thrives on this. There’s something so delicious about the pining and the slow realization that maybe, just maybe, that love isn’t so unrequited after all.

Trauma healing – The emotional depth in this book? I was not prepared. But wow, did it wreck me in the best way possible.

Small town romance – Everyone knows everyone’s business, but that just makes the drama and the tension that much better.

And let’s talk about these CHARACTERS. The heroine? Strong, resilient, and a total queen. The hero? Broody, protective, and the kind of man who will make you want to throw your book across the room one moment and swoon the next.

But let me tell you, this book had me FEELING things. At one point, I was so overwhelmed I had to put my Kindle down, pace my living room, and take some deep breaths before diving back in. And that ending? If you need me, I’ll be in the corner, rereading it and ugly crying.

Final verdict? If you love your romance with tension, spice, heart, and a touch of emotional devastation (the best kind), Heart of Saints is a MUST-READ. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go emotionally recover and possibly re-read the best parts for the 100th time.

Remember years ago when i told you that if I had a cowboy hat, you'd be wearin' it?

This book is the second in the Sinners and Saints series and follows the VP of the club, Knox Davenport and a local bartender, Summer Ivers. Summer is a single mom that moves back near Nashville after she had her son 15 years ago. The problem is, that means being closer to the man that has always had a thing for her, and staying hidden from her past.

Summer survives in fight or flight mode. Her goal is to protect the life she's worked hard to build and most importantly, her son. She had one amazing night with Knox but she couldn't stay when she found out he was in the motorcycle club. The danger wasn't worth the risk. But when Knox comes back to the bar she works at and demands answers for where she went, she can't avoid the truth forever.

This book was honestly so hot and the tension was SO good. I will never not be feral for an MMC named Knox so this was honestly so good for me. I loved watching Summer's journey unravel and all the things she's gone through to build her into who she is today. I will always have a soft spot for single moms because I had one and I know how hard they work to provide.

I loved how Knox worked hard to gain the trust of Levi, even though he thought it might upset Summer. He knew that Levi needed another person in his corner and was willing to help in anyway that he could. And seeing both Knox and Summer go back to their roots and what they loved to do was so heartwarming. It's easy to lose sight of your favorite hobbies/activities and being able to share that with each other was so amazing.

*check TW before reading! There's some on page content that may trigger some readers*

tropes:
- single mom (to a teenager)
- he falls first & harder
- trauma healing
- small town tennessee
- grumpy x sunshine (she's the grumpy one)
- slow burn
- one night stand (turns into accidental pregnancy)
- second chance
- boss x employee

From the moment I met Dav "Knox Davenport " in book 1 of the Sinners and saints series I knew there was something deeper within his soul there was more to our Blonde Vice president that just his witty sense of humour and southern charm.

Our mmc Knox is known as Springfields resident playboy who has a different woman every week unable to commit and supposedly not the settling down type but he was the opposite in every way. In reality he is the biggest Hopeless Romantic I've ever read with his heart belonging to the sharp tongued bartender summer ivers.

I loved our FMC summer so much. I was so intrigued by summer from the moment we met briefly in book 1 and getting to know her on a deeper level was beautiful and it was also heartbreaking.

Summer is a survivor a woman who despite being the victim of Sexual abuse is someone who's strength is inspiring who in her hardest moments found the courage to begin again.

Summer didn't let her hardships define her she used them as her inspiration for a better life , she was tough with and sharp tongue to match but despite that she was also someone who behind it all had insecurities and deep down like the rest of us wished for a forever with a biker cowboy obvs

Summer and knoxs love Is one written in the stars it's a love that is complicated but it the best possible way. Knox saw straight into Summers soul one that deep down mirrored his, they brought out best parts of eachother.

This book shows that sometimes we aren't ready for that earth shattering love that we need time to grow , that what people perceive us to be isn't the only version of us ,that we are all worthy of love

Please give me a rough riding, dirty talking, bad boy biker MMC and I will eat that shit up and leave no crumbs. ⬅️This was my prayer before I read this book.

And he’s a cowboy?!? Don’t play with my heart. I did, in fact, eat this book up. I read it in 3 hours. You could not have paid me to stop reading. The flips and twists made my cold black heart flutter.

The chemistry between Knox and Summer was astounding and their spice was next level. Seriously scorching with plot you didn’t have to squint to see. I love a book with an appropriate amount of (high level) spice but that also has plot and twists. I feel that this book certainly delivered!

Thank you to Luna Literary and the authors for the ARC!

Read if you vibe with:
-Single Mom to a Teenager (secret baby with a twist)
-HEA (no third act breakup)
-Spicy (he has a filthy mouth, calls her good girl and gives her hand necklaces)
-Unrequited Love (he falls first and harder)
-Interracial Couple (black fmc + Viking-looking white mmc)
-Trauma healing (the fmc manages to heal from her childhood trauma)
-Small Town in Tennessee
-Grumpy x Sunshine (she’s the grumpy one, but he calls her Sunshine)
-Accidental Playboy x Ice Queen (but she calls him lover boy)
-Slow Burn (so much yearning)
-One Night Stand they both can’t seem to forget
-Second Chance (after 15 years)
-Boss x Employee (he owns the pub she works at)
-MC VP + Barrel Racer MMC (and he looks great in chaps)
-Bartender FMC

Right then, I know without a shadow of a doubt that, whether or not I like it, she’s been carrying around a piece of my heart for the last fifteen years.

“I’d go to hell and back for you.”

After the first book, I absolutely needed Knox’s story so bad and it didn’t disappoint!

Absolutely check TWs before reading this one because what Summer went through was absolutely awful. My heart absolutely broke for her!

Knox being low key down bad for after all these years… all the feels. I loved how he didn’t hesitate to be there for her and Levi.

Summer being so strong and overcoming everything she went through and letting Knox in 🥹

The chemistry between them is hotttttt!

ARC- Review

Firstly, I want to extend a huge thank you to the author and the PR team for allowing me to read an ARC of this book.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read, though it’s not my usual go-to. The beginning felt a little long, but I understand why—it was necessary to set the scene for the rest of the book. I loved reading about Knox and Summer, and while I enjoyed seeing their bond grow, I just wish we had more moments between them, I would have loved to have seen a few more scenes of them to show just how strong their bond actually becomes.

Levi completely stole my heart. He was such a sweet kid, always looking out for his mom despite the struggles he faced at school. I would have loved to see more scenes of him, Knox, and Summer together as their connection developed.
(I loved the epilogues at the end, I just wish we saw a little more of them together as a happy family towards the end)

If you love slow-burn romances, cowboy romance, and protective MMCs, this book is for you! Knox is the definition of an obsessed mana—he has been keeping Summer safe from a distance for over a decade and does everything in his power to help her overcome her trauma. He also builds a meaningful bond with Levi, spending time with him at the ranch and helping him through his struggles.

This book was sooooo good. I couldn’t put it down! I finished it in one day (and technically three sittings)

Knox is just… perfect. Accidentally a playboy, but underneath a sappy hopeless romantic.

“𝒟𝑜𝓃’𝓉 𝒽𝒾𝒹𝑒 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝓂𝑒. 𝐼 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉 𝒾𝓉 𝒶𝓁𝓁, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐼 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉 𝒾𝓉 𝓃𝑜𝓌.”

Summer is awe inspiring. Her trauma, her strength and her ability to learn to love freely just melted me.

“𝐼 𝒽𝒶𝓉𝑒 𝒽𝒾𝓂 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓂𝒶𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓂𝑒 𝒻𝑒𝑒𝓁 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔𝓈 𝐼 𝓉𝒽𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽𝓉 𝐼 𝒷𝓊𝓇𝒾𝑒𝒹.”

Their journey had me on the edge of my seat, there were a few times I was afraid we were going to have a third act break up, but instead Knox respected her boundaries and gave her space to work through things that happened. And that’s really special to me.

“𝑅𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓃, 𝐼 𝓀𝓃𝑜𝓌 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽𝑜𝓊𝓉 𝒶 𝓈𝒽𝑜𝓌𝒹𝑜𝓌𝓃 𝑜𝒻 𝒶 𝒹𝑜𝓊𝒷𝓉, 𝓌𝒽𝑒𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝑜𝓇 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝐼 𝓁𝒾𝓀𝑒 𝒾𝓉, 𝓈𝒽𝑒’𝓈 𝒷𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝒸𝒶𝓇𝓇𝓎𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒶𝓇𝑜𝓊𝓃𝒹 𝒶 𝓅𝒾𝑒𝒸𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝓂𝓎 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓁𝒶𝓈𝓉 𝒻𝒾𝒻𝓉𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝓎𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈.”

Her trauma has made her build up walls to protect herself (and Levi) and caused her to close herself off from everyone around her, save for her best friend and older female neighbor. Yet, he still calls her sunshine.
And I love that she calls him lover boy. That just made me giddy every time!

“𝐸𝓎𝑒𝓈 𝑜𝓃 𝓂𝑒, 𝒮𝓊𝓃𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑒. 𝐼 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉 𝓉𝑜 𝓈𝑒𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒻𝒶𝒸𝑒 𝓌𝒽𝑒𝓃 𝐼 𝓇𝓊𝒾𝓃 𝓎𝑜𝓊.”

Small town, second chance, cowboy/mc MMC and single mom/bartender FMC, he falls first and harder, and moderate slow burn.
Just everything about this novella was perfect.

ARC READER REVIEW!
3.75⭐️ 3.5🌶️

Knox is not your typical MC member. Yes he’s a blonde haired blue eyed hot as sin bike ride, he’s also a cowboy who competes in barrel racing and rodeo completions.
Biker mixed with cowboy!? Who also has so many hidden layers, like being loyal, golden retriever energy for his woman (he just wants to love and be loved like his parents relationship) while also being filthy in the bedroom and fierce protectiveness of those who are in his life.
Whereas, summer is his opposite. Shes been hurt so much in life and has so many scars, that she’s closed off towards most in life, due to trying to protect herself and her son. She is the definition of I’ve been through hell, but I’m still going. And she’ll do anything and everything to protect herself son from awful truths and having to go through things in life like she did.
Knox shows up and shows out everytime for her and Levi and slowly works his way back into her life and shows her how relationships our supposed to be. How families are supposed to be.
I loved the slow burn in this because they had a lot to work through, together and separately, in order to make things work.
If you like: MC, cowboys, insta attraction, ditty talking, slow burn (done right), emotional growth and intimacy, actions and words being matched and found family? This book is for you!

Barrel racer turned MC vice president? 15 years spent apart? FMC single mom? Color me intrigued.

I read the first book in this series, King of Sinners, when it first came out in 2023 so I already knew that I liked Jullienne's and Sarah's writing styles and how they wrote together. They do so well together that if you didn't know there were two authors, you probably wouldn't guess there two authors. Back to the series though... I vaguely remembered Knox, our MMC, from King of Sinners, but since it had been over a year, it felt a bit like walking in blind to his story - I wasn't disappointed.

He and Summer love each other so much and loved each other the 15 years they were apart (excuse me while I melt into the ground). When they finally meet again, Summer has her son, Levi, with her. Knox and Levi bonding over barrel racing? Precious. Not only did I love Knox and Summer's relationship, but I also loved Knox's relationship with Levi and how Knox put in the effort to really foster that relationship with Levi.

There are some darker parts to the book that do happen on page, not just referenced as prior events, so as always, check the trigger warnings. If you don't think it's for you, then it's not for you and that's okay!

I'm looking forward to where the authors go next for this series!

🌞 Second Chance

First and Foremost, check the TW before jumping into this book!

This book is full of so much emotion.

Knox is that fun loving egotistical biker, he is full of southern charm and has the body count to prove it. He doesn't want love because being in the MC he doesn't feel he deserves it or should have love.

Summer is a woman on the run, forced to grow up too quickly. She was forced into tough situations but doesn't stop moving forward to protect herself and her son. She has built up tall strong walls and doesn't let anyone pull them down. She is a warrior and will do what it takes to protect her and her son.

Knox and Summer meet at the bar she works at, the MC frequents it. After a while Summer decides to let loss and has a one-night stand with Knox. You can feel the instant connection between the two. But Summer keeps Knox at arm's length.

There is so much emotional baggage that is unpacked in this book, you get glimpses into Summer's past showing the trauma she went through and how she escaped it. You truly understand why Summer is doing what she is doing.

I have been waiting for Knox and Summer's story since I read book 1 of the Sinner & Saints series. I love Knox. He's quick-witted and sarcastic but responsible. My heart broke reading Summer's POV and everything she's been through. She's strong, works hard, and is a great mother. I appreciate that the authors alternated the first few chapters between the past and the present to show exactly where the characters are and how their decisions led them there. What happened to her has affected every decision she's made up to this point, still costing her peace years later.

14 years is such a long time to pretend you don't want to be with someone. This must be where the Saint part comes in because you'd have to have the patience of a saint to wait that long. Watching all of the pieces of Summer and Knox's story unfold was a treat. She's still healing, and he's learning all these new things at such a rapid pace, somehow taking it in stride. How could anyone resist Knox's southern cowboy biker charm? Summer tried, thinking it would protect the life she had struggled to build for herself--her safety. The ending is fulfilling and makes everything feel right in their biker gang ranch world. It's all worth it to see Callan giving Knox love advice.

This is the second book of the Sinners & Saints series. I have been waiting for Knox’s story and it did not disappoint. Nouha is an auto buy author for me and this book was just as good as the first book in the series!
I loved learning Knox in this book! He is so loyal but I was happy to see him put himself first during this book and get back into barrel racing after giving it up for years for the club.
Summer and Knox’s story was such an emotional roller coaster, I went from giggling to tearing up. But I loved their story. And the spice was everything!
The nicknames were the cutest! Sunshine and Cowboy!
Summer is so strong and after learning about her life and finding out how much she went through she deserved a HEA.
Summer and Knox are perfect for each other. Summer was such a great mom to Levi and I loved how Levi and Knox had an immediate bond.

Danielle & Nouha as authors alone are impeccable, amazing. but you bring them together & istg it’s the most immaculate thing. I fear the girls did their big one w/ this book. Callan & Naya will always have a place in my heart but SUMMER & KNOX oh baby they are living in my head rent free.

Having a character like Knox who is so use to being written off as this playboy & just having no depth outside of the MC & women, handle someone like Naya who is so closed off so guarded so full of trauma. The way he is so patient w/ her, so understanding.

At times I wanted to wring summers neck but as a mom I can completely understand her standpoint & why she guarded herself & her son. reading summers journey was so refreshing by the end. this is one character i truly loved from start to finish.

& when my girls said HEA guaranteed they meant HEA GUARANTEED 🤪

ARC Review

I absolutely loved Heart of Saints! This book was such a delightful surprise with its engaging pregnancy trope, and I was thrilled to see a main character who is both a biker and a barrel racer. It made for an exciting combination that I couldn't get enough of. I genuinely wish I could dive into the first book of this series right away!

Knox is everything I hoped he would be—sweet, captivating, and completely obsessed with Summer in the most caring way possible. Summer's journey through her struggles is intense, and I recommend reading the trigger warnings, although I dove right in without them.

I will say, I had a hunch about Levi's father early on. While the story keeps you guessing, there was an instinct in me that figured it out when the pieces started to align.

I'm definitely continuing with this series because I have a strong feeling that Callen's story will be just as fantastic as Knox’s. If you love a well-crafted romance with depth and twists, this book is a must-read!

Think Yellowstone meets Sons of Anarchy… and l was damn SOLD and I don’t regret one second of reading this book. I thought it was so clever to mix Cowboy and MC romance together and it was written so well.
Be aware though that it does have some really heavy/dark themes. I want to say it is a dark romance in my opinion. So just keep that in mind, the authors do have a written passage at the start of the book as a warning.
It’s not a long book and you could 100% read this in a day! It was such a page turner and I just loved all the twists and turns in the story.
The MMC Knox is the VP of the MC, bar owner and barrel racer. He lives on the ranch and is completely gone for after spending one night with the FMC. The FMC Summer is a mum, and bartender who is grumpy and I just love that he calls her Sunshine. She’s dealing with so much trauma and is on her healing journey trying to make a better life for herself and her so. There was so much yearning and angst between and the plot twists, it was a wild read. All pulled together with a HEA! Just the way I like it.

ARC Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the 2nd book in the Sinners and Saints series. Knox Davenport was introduced in the 1st book, and I couldn't wait for his story. One night him and Summer Ivers have a one night stand that changed everything. Flash forward 15 years later Knox returns to the bar, and Summer is there. When he figures out she has a kid, there are so many questions. I loved how Knox stepped up for Levi and wouldn't let it go that the kid looked very familiar. Summer tried to guard her heart, but she couldn't resist Knox with his whiskey smooth voice. He breaks down her walls a little at a time. When he figures out about her past, he wants nothing but to seek revenge.

“Remember years ago when I told you that if I had a cowboy hat, you’d be wearin’ it?"

“Take it easy, cowboy.”
“On you? Never. I’m gonna ride you like a rodeo. Now walk.”

“ You’re not just some fleetin’ thing to me, or a passin’ moment. You’re it. You’re everythin’ I’ve been searchin’ for, even when I didn’t realize I was lookin’.”

“The truth is that I don’t know if I want to strangle you or kiss you every time I see you."

“You’re gonna have to beg for it, Sunshine. I want to hear you say how much you need me to ruin you.”

4.5⭐️, near perfection! I LIKE THIS A LOT! What do you get when you mix Cowboy & MC romance started off with, an unforgettable one night stand between Boss & his bartender, then years later, she’s a single mum AND…. it’s an interracial couple, you get “Heart of Saints”, 2nd instalment of King of Sinners series. So good y’all😉

You might go, wait a minute…there’s so many tropes, isn’t it overwhelming? Let me tell you as a person who didn’t know tropes exist until i joined this Bookstgram universe, they managed to pull it off (🛎️ ding-ding)

Mind you, please check the TWs ‼️cos it’s on page! This book gave so much emotions to unpacked, you definitely get caught in it.

Summer & Knox are polar opposites of each other but their connection is intense ⚡️ & there’s an undeniable pining, folks 🫠.

💖 Summer & Knox were written for each other perfectly, especially with the baggage that Summer carried while loverboy, Knox with his playboy Southern charm was fighting this unrequited love for her at the same time trying patiently be there for her while busy being a VP of a MC club & barrel racer. Yup, Knox can do anything, 🙃, in & out of 🛏️!

It was an exciting read & that plotttt, woahhhhhhh, TBH, i did not see that coming & that epilogue, couldn’t ask for a better ending for Summer, what a journey for her! ✨

Did i read book 1? no, but the blurb sold me off that i totally ignore everything including the TWs, but i recommend you read TWs first!

This is my first book from Nouha Jullienne & Danielle Sarah, if you enjoy MC/Cowboy romance, you get to have both in this with a 🥨 this 28/3/25! Thanks for the arc Luna literary.management, so glad i requested this~

Running from the past and learning to let go

Rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice: 🌶🌶 (it was good spice overall honestly)

Summer bolted from home right after turning 18, escaping a rough situation where her mom didn't have her back. She landed in Nashville, met Knox, but then discovered she was pregnant and took off.

About a year later, she circled back, keeping her kid under wraps. Summer brought Levi to a ranch to help him blow off steam after getting bullied about not having a dad (something that worked for her after losing her own father). That's how Knox first met Levi. The two started getting close, and Summer eventually opened up to Knox, spilling all the details about her past and why she ran.

She was totally scared to believe things could work out and kept getting hung up on her past. Summer knew she needed to let go and stop letting old wounds mess with her life.

I loved Knox as the MMC. He's the perfect mix of fun and charming with an alpha man, intense protective strike and dirty talk to make you giddy. And do I need to add that he's a biker and a cowboy, and quickly became a loving family man? I mean, you can't go wrong with that!
Summer is a fiercely protective single mom, who's been through hell but only came out stronger (mostly for Levi, her son).
Add to that a touch of suspense and a bit of spice and you get yourself a great read.
The one thing missing for me, was more of the past relationship between Summer and Knox. It just didn't fully feel like a second chance romance with years of pining with only the prologue showing us their common past.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

“Remember years ago when I told you that if I had a cowboy hat, you’d be wearin’ it?” *immediately swoons & wishes for a cowboy*

Take Sons of Anarchy, but make it country. I know I said this about book one in the series, but it only magnified with Heart of Saints. I loved the tropes for this one right off the bat: second chance romance, single mom, motorcycle crew, small town, “touch her and you 😵”. The list goes on and on. The tension between Knox & Summer immediately grabbed me and held on tight. You could feel it bleeding off of the pages. I loved how hard Knox worked to gain the trust of both Summer and Levi, even when he was met with such resistance on Summer’s end. The relationship that he built with Levi really tugged on my heart strings. The drama had me turning pages at lightning speed and the spice was *chef’s kiss* (I need a moment like the riding competition … IYKYK 😏). I really enjoyed how the book wrapped up and NEED to know if there is going to be any more! (AHEM … JACKSON!)

A HUGE thank you to Nouha, Danielle, and Luna Literary for this e-arc. Check out Heart of Saints out TODAY!

If you love a protective, “who did this to you?” cowboy-biker MMC and a broken yet resilient FMC, this book delivers all the feels. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he knew she was it for him—even if life had other plans.

This story is packed with tension, heartache, and delicious undeniable chemistry. With a secret pregnancy, a single mom doing everything she can to protect her heart, and a hero who refuses to let her go, the emotional rollercoaster is real. Add in the rugged charm of cowboys, the edge of biker culture, some spice, and you’ve got a must read book!

Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️

Tropes: Who did this to you?, secret pregnancy, single mom, cowboy-biker, protective alpha, I’ve loved you forever

If you’re in the mood for a book that hits you in the heart (and maybe a little lower), pick this up immediately!

Between you and me… I might be buying my partner a motorcycle. You know, for the ✨experience.✨

"I left my hat at home, but if I had it, I’d make sure you were wearin’ it."

And just like that, I’m grabbing a hat too. 🤠🔥

Summer, our fierce FMC, has endured more tragedy than anyone should. But through all the pain, she’s become a fearless, resilient woman and an incredible mother. Her past is filled with heartbreak, but she’s spent the last 14 years building a safe life for her and Levi. Then there’s Knox. Our cowboy MC, “Vice,” has been drawn to her since that night 15 years ago. And when a man like Knox knows what he wants… well, who are we to stand in his way?

Heartfelt, emotional, and sizzling with tension, Heart of Saints is a must-read. Thank you for the opportunity to read a mesh of two of my favorite tropes, Motorcycle and cowboy romance.

🌶️🌶️.5

I loved this book. I really liked book 1 but I loved this one!!! There is so much to love. I read it within 24 hours.

The main characters are brilliant. Knox as the MMC is sooo good. VP of a motorcycle club and he is a cowboy too. He is morally grey but loves so hard, is patient with a filthy mouth - he just ticks so many boxes!!! The FMC, Summer is amazing too. She has so much trauma but is battling through, is committed to being the best mum possible and her son is her main focus.

Some amazing tropes in this book and they are done really well. They are well written and fresh. We love a second chance romance and this one is sooo good!

Released on the 28th March. Preorder now - you won’t regret it and while you are there get book 1 too!!
