** THIS BOOK CONTAINS BRAWLING, MAGIC, SHIFTERS, SWEARING, AND DECIDEDLY UNLADYLIKE BEHAVIOR. PROCEED WITH CAUTION. **
My name is Stacia Kane, and people keep screwing with the wrong damn woman.
They tried to kidnap me. Well, technically they actually did, and wrecked my bike Natasha in the process. Damn it. I let two of them walk away, but that was only because I wanted to send a message.
I was exonerated for everything that happened in Detroit. There was a press conference and everything. I know where I stand now, and who will stand with me. I’ve got friends in high and low places.
Go me.
So, they can keep coming for me, head-on or sideways, and I’ll be here to meet them. The Tribe will be here.
Bring it.
Children of an old team-mate reach out to Stacia for help, and she doesn't hesitate to step up. They're en route to Denver, to her, when things go sideways, landing them in danger.
Believing it's because of her, Stacia knocks the dust off of Captain Kane from the Combined Forces, and calls in all the favors she can.
K.L. Asmussen is a book-addicted, twister of tales, working in service to the voices in his head. He resides in rural Colorado with his wife and their horde of furry miscreants. When not working on the latest Faie Wars novel, he has his nose buried in a book. In between, he crafts delicious meals for friends and family while waging the never-ending war against cat hair. The two are not always mutually exclusive, so just spit that out and move on.
This book continued to be one that I was unable to put down! I loved being able to see growth in Stacia as this is something that pushed m to reflect in my life as well with some of the situations she found herself in. The story line continued to expand in a way I did not expect but loved….I can’t wait to tear into book 4!
