MY PENANCE WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH The breathtaking conclusion to The BloodStone Legacy trilogy—a dark, seductive paranormal romance about forbidden love, impossible choices, and the price of redemption.

They think his love for her makes him weak. They're about to learn it makes him unstoppable.

For centuries, vampire commander Aden Westcott's reputation for brutality was legendary. Until her. When Ellie awakens feelings he thought long dead, their forbidden bond becomes both his salvation and his greatest vulnerability.

Perfect for fans of J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, Sarah J. Maas's Crescent City, Scarlett St. Clair's Adrian X Isolde, Karina Halle's The Dracula Duet, and readers who crave their romance dark, passionate, and unforgettable with brooding anti-heroes paired with resilient heroines.

Redemption is Book 3 of a trilogy. It ends with the HEA you've been waiting for.

Thanks to V.E. Huntley for providing the eARC. This is my honest opinion.

Redemption – The HEA Ellie & Aden Deserve

'Redemption' by V.E. Huntley brings together everything that makes this series so addictive: emotion, action, longing, and moral conflict woven seamlessly into a story that refuses to let go.

The chemistry between Aden and Ellie still burns fiercely. This book is filled with spice, intense and consuming, yet never meaningless. The passion is not there merely to ignite the pages, but to deepen the emotional stakes. Every intimate moment feels connected to their growth, their vulnerability, and the constant danger surrounding them. I could feel the tension in every glance, the weight of every choice, and the heat of every moment alongside them. Their journey toward a hard earned HEA is anything but simple, and that is precisely why it feels deserved.

The pace is high, the tension relentless. Threat lingers in the background, and confrontations unfold with gripping intensity. Yet the true strength of this story lies beneath the surface.

Between fiery scenes and explosive action, an uncomfortable truth quietly unfolds. Sometimes life demands choices no one truly wants to make. How do you keep your heart soft in a world that grows increasingly hard? What remains of you when the greater good requires sacrifices that weigh heavily on your conscience? These questions give the story emotional depth and elevate it beyond action and desire alone.

This is not a standalone. The emotional payoff and the full impact of the character arcs can only be felt when the previous books are known. As a series finale, however, it feels complete, powerful, and deeply satisfying.

By now one thing has become undeniable. Not a single book by V.E. Huntley has disappointed. Every new release is an automatic read because I want to experience every story she writes. There is a signature intensity in her writing, a way of blending darkness, passion, and emotional vulnerability that feels unmistakably hers. 'Redemption' once again proves why she remains a must read author.

A fierce, emotionally charged conclusion filled with action, moral tension, and enough spice to set the pages ablaze.

Forbidden love | Paranormal romance | Dark fantasy | Brooding anti-hero | Resilient heroine | High-stakes world conflict | Immortal/vampire society | Impossible choices | Price of redemption | Final trilogy confrontation | Romance overcoming danger | Moral ambiguity | Betrayal and loyalty | Eternal consequences | Emotional intensity | Steamy yet dark relationship | HEA conclusion

Whew (as I brush the sweat off my brow). Redemption by V E Huntley is the heart pounding conclusion of Aden and Ellie's story in the Bloodstone Legacy trilogy. Between the smoking hot sex (XXX Rated) and the bloody and savage battles, I can't think of one thing V E Huntley left out. I love her original interpretation of the vampire world.

We see the story from two points of view, Aden's and Ellie's. I love when I can see events unfold from different perspectives, delving into the minds of each character, allowing me to empathize with them, even when they are wrong.

I will keep this review short and sweet, seeing I really do not want to spoil anything for those who will begin the series with Damnation. I cannot recommend the Bloodstone Legacy enough. The vampires are unique and have the same issues as us humans, politics, communication, and kids. What will they turn out to be? Vampires? Half breed's? Humans?

What a fabulous happy ever after ending to a mind blowing conclusion of Aden and Ellie's story. Any time I see V E Huntley's name, I'm hoping she has come out with a new book. She is definitely hovering around the top of my must read author list.

My thanks go out to V E Huntley for the opportunity to read, review and share my thoughts for Redemption.

ARC REVIEW: Redemption: The Bloodstone Legacy, Book 3 by @vehuntley
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

V.E. Huntley’s The Bloodstone Legacy has come to its conclusion with Redemption. This Dark Vampire Romance is perfect for all the readers out there who want a complete series—no need to wait after the cliffhangers on this one. And it’s a hearty one too.

Have you ever seen the Lord of the Rings trilogy? Do you remember how, with each movie, the intensity ramps up exponentially? There was an entire war going on in one of them.

The Bloodstone Legacy is a unique Vampire Romance. It’s set in a dystopian, futuristic world. Think holograms and molecular engineering to enhance vampires. If Book 2 of V.E. Huntley’s Atonement wasn’t wildly intense enough, Redemption was heavier. There are action-packed combat scenes, angst between Aden and Ellie, battles for power, and some surprises, too.

Aden continues to want to keep Ellie safe; however, his efforts are often misconstrued as possessive. Ellie is not a weak person. She’s not someone who hides behind others; she’s at the frontline. And proves herself. But Aden is terrified of losing her. He’s carrying a lot of fear, which was shared in Atonement.

Redemption, as well as this entire trilogy, is not one you want to race through, though it is quite the page turner. It reads almost like a theatrical performance, with the visuals delivered so clearly through words alone. I also loved the author’s underlying message about power in the story. It was a great takeaway, one that I hope other readers will pick up on, too.

Thank you to Author V.E. Huntley for the gifted e-copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Note: These are not standalones. You must read Book 1 & 2 first.

Redemption: A Dark, Steamy Vampire Romance (The BloodStone Legacy Book 3) by V.E. Huntley delivers exactly what the series promises in its breathtaking finale, a high stakes, emotionally charged conclusion that ties together the dark, forbidden love story of vampire commander Aden Westcott and his human counterpart Ellie.

Set in a dystopian future where vampires dominate and humans are subjugated, the trilogy built a world of power imbalances, brutal hierarchies, and simmering tension.

By Book 3, Aden’s centuries long reputation as a ruthless, brutal leader has been irrevocably altered by his obsessive, redemptive love for Ellie. ❤️

The blurb captures it perfectly, his devotion isn’t a weakness, it’s the force that makes him an unstoppable force against mounting enemies.
The story dives deep into themes of sacrifice, impossible choices, and the true cost of redemption, all wrapped in intense passion and steamy encounters.

Aden’s brooding anti hero turmoil and Ellie’s resilient strength amid vulnerability. Made this book almost impossible to put down! The slow burn elements from earlier books explode here into full blown, dark sensuality, with possessive alpha energy, soulmate bonds (echoing past lives), and high angst moments that keep the pages turning.

The dark themes are prominent, violence, power dynamics, and potentially distressing scenes, so please heed the trigger warnings. This isn’t light paranormal romance, it’s gritty, seductive, and unapologetically intense, and I loved it all.

So, if you’ve invested in Aden and Ellie’s journey through the trilogy, this finale is a must read, and so worth the wait.

"They think his love for her makes him weak. They’re about to learn it makes him unstoppable."
^^^this gave me the chills.

Ohhh how I've been pretending to patiently wait for this 😂 with how book 2 ended I knew before even starting it was going to be utter chaos from the very beginning!!! This captivated me from page one and didn't let go.

This entire thing was so well executed. Everything coming together for a huge finale. The stakes are at an all time high in this. So much tension, destruction, devastation, and betrayal. Also filled with passion, devotion, loyalty.

The conclusion to Ellie and Adens story did not disappoint! Knowing that they finally get a HEA... Seeing how it all unfolded and the obstacles that had to be overcome was just absolute perfection.

There definitely wasn't a dull moment in this. It's filled with action and spice. Terrifying moments that make you gasp not knowing which direction the book is going to take. All while whispering awwww with tears in eyes as you see Aden unleash and burn the world for Ellie.

I loved loved loved the epilogue and even though Ellie and Adens story has concluded I absolutely cannot wait to see what's to come! Kane and Carrie let's gooooo!!!

Redemption picks up exactly where Atonement ended, with Ellie back in Matthias’ grasp. Trapped in his vault, she knows she just as to hang on long enough for Aden to come rescue her, but at what cost? Aden is known to be ruthless, but Matthais didn’t know what he was starting when he took Ellie from him, leaving devastation in his wake. Now Aden has everything to lose, and will stop at nothing to get her back.

I’m glad I read the first two books recently, because there was no way I could have waited longer after the cliffhanger ending. I received an early copy of this one from the author and I devoured all 644 pages in a single day! Ellie and Aden have a love story that spans centuries and lifetimes, and their connection is undeniable. In this book we got to see that love grow beyond passion into partnership, which is what many stories lack. Ellie truly finds her voice, not only speaking up for herself, but those she loves, and Aden comes into his own with controlled ruthlessness. I loved that we got to see more of the secondary characters, learning their vulnerabilities along with their strengths.

This book was more than a love story, with enough action to readers on the edge of their seats. The twists were many, and left me guessing at every turn. Every page of this story was absolute perfection, and I am in no way to say goodbye to these characters.

This was the final book in the trilogy about Aden and Ellie and what an epic, high-stakes ending to this unbelievably intense series! I devoured it in one sitting!
The main theme is the power of love and exactly how far we are willing to go to protect the ones we love, and Aden just proves that he is the king of “I will burn the world down for you”.
Aden and Ellie have grown so much on their journey together, and having to deal with deep-rooted betrayal, pain, and fear has really made them all reevaluate what they thought they knew about themselves and each other.
The showdown in this book had me at the edge of my seat with all of the tension and uncertainty, with the despicable antagonist finally getting what he deserves.

Family continues to play such an important role in this story, and I love how this book took us into the past with what had happened with some of the the characters previously and gave a much better understanding of what was at stake and why.
The spice and soul-level connection Aden and Ellie have are even more intense than in the previous book and the depths of feelings they have for one another is absolutely overwhelming. I simply adore these two!
I definitely recommend the series!

This is the final book of the Bloodstone Legacy Trilogy and it is full of all the tension, suspense, angst, sadness, anger, and elation we’ve come to expect from VE Huntley. This book shows how much Aden has grown and matured throughout the series. The bond between Aden and Ellie has grow beyond words. Together with their family, both blood and chosen, and with their alliances, they fight the ultimate battle of good vs evil, wrong vs right. They suffer heartbreaking loss in the struggle toward a better future. This book was the perfect ending to this story.

Book three and the final installment in the Bloodstone Legacy and the plot has officially hit its peak. The compulsion is real in this one, folks!

The vampires are at war, and one thing becomes clear..their leader, Matthias, has to go.

This book dives into the careful planning, sacrifices, and intense phases several key characters must move through to build a new world for all.

If you’re someone who loves longer books packed with detail, layered politics, and world-building this series is for you. It’s complex and takes its time developing but ended on a note that made it all worthwhile!

This was an amazing conclusion to an even more amazing trilogy. The action and danger. Chaos and darkness. This wrapped things up so nicely. This book grabbed me from the beginning and held on to be as things progressed. And I was more than happy to let it. This was so well written. The depth and description was mind blowing. I devoured this book. I am so thankful to have been a part of Huntley’s ARC team. It’s been one hell of a ride.

5/5 ⭐ Raw, Riveting, and Redemptive

This review is based on The BloodStone Legacy Trilogy by V.E. Huntley as a whole!

The BloodStone Legacy is the most complete full circle trilogy I have read in a while. I have never wanted to reread a story as soon as I finished it until now. The book covers and titles tell a story all on their own. The characters are fully fleshed out from beginning to end. Everything they say and do is consistent throughout all three books. I felt as if I was truly in an environment where Vampires rule and Humans are a means to an end. This is not a human redemption story where we defeat the Vampires. Is redemption only available to humans? Can Aden amend his past actions? Can the Vampire race be redeemed?

I will read anything by V.E. Huntley. Her writing is very balanced and meaningful. There is humor amongst the chaos and love in the dark. Also, there are still some unanswered questions that V.E. herself said will be answered in future stories. Why is Ellie so special? There has to be more to that. Even though this ends in an HEA the BloodStone world is not finished. I can’t wait for Carrie and Kane’s story

I received a digital arc copy of Redemption and I am sharing my opinion voluntarily.

Redemption is the 3rd book in The BloodStone Legacy Trilogy by V.E. Huntley. This is the stunning conclusion to this amazing Trilogy that has captured my heart and imagination since I first read the first book in this Trilogy Damnation.

Ever since I finished book 2 of this trilogy Atonement, I have been trying to figure out how V.E. Huntley was going to pull all the threads of this stunning storyline together that stood up to all the devastation that the first 2 books dealt out. But I have to say that having now finished this masterpiece, I was left completely stunned with my jaw on the floor and my heads still spinning from this absolute paragon of perfect conclusions. I found Redemption to be addictive, emotional, action packed, had longing with moral conflict knitted perfectly into this perfect story that refuses to let you go till you’ve read the last word.

V.E. gave us all the anger, angst, laughter, and tears, it was all here in this impressive conclusion to Aden and Ellie’s story and I can honestly say that this is a series that is going to be living rent-free in my head and on my trophy shelf for a long time and this series has earned it’s place as one of my top 5 Vampire/Dark Romance series and it will be one that I recommend for a long time.

Aden continues to work to become the best version of himself possible, but that resolve to be better than he was is suddenly shattered when he learns that Ellie has been taken by the ancient, evil vampire chancellor, Matthias.

Aden knows without a shadow of a doubt and with out an ounce of fear that he would burn down their world in order to save her. Matthias on the other hand knows that he would do anything in his power to ensure that he remains and is always the most powerful vampire in their world and he will have and keep everything and everyone under his thumb and under his control.

Now Ellie and Aden’s world is plunging towards war, will Aden and Ellie survive long enough to find their own HEA or are they going to lose each other and everyone they love as well?

Aden’s character arc was really quite stunning. In book 1 he was conceited, emotionally stunted, and he was still this very deeply wounded vampire after the lose of the love of his life and soulmate.

Ellie’s character arc is one who finds her own healing and finds a way to become a leader, one that Aden’s family desperately needed and more than that, one the entire world needed. Her character is full of this depth, nuance, and so much redemption.

We know that Aden’s always going to struggle, and he’s always going to see nothing but darkness around him and in him. But, with Ellie next to him, and the strength that she shows in that first book, and the way she maintains and reasserts her independence even while she’s being claimed by an OTT obsessive and possessive vampire mate, this honestly just made my heart melt. Ellie honestly is such a perfect fierce match for Aden and she is his perfect mate for this broody, dark, vampire commander.

The pacing is high and perfect for the tension that’s relentless. With the threat that lingers constantly in the background and confrontations unfolding with gripping intensity. And yet, we find the true strength of this story actually lies under the surface.

Between all the fiery scenes and all the explosive action, we find that there’s an uncomfortable truth that’s quietly unfolding. One that is not only true for this story, but one that can be true for our everyday lives. The truth is that sometimes life can demand a person to make a choice that they don’t really want to make.

And then you have to wonder how you manage to keep your heart soft in this world that is growing increasingly harder and harder? And what remains of you when the greater good requires this heart wrenching, heart shattering, life changing sacrifice that weighs heavily on your shoulders and your conscience?

These and other questions are the ones that give this trilogy the emotional depth and elevate it beyond just this action story or a story about romance and desire alone or a mix of the two. The questions add layers and depth to this trilogy.

This is a dark romantasy that is pure fiction, and yet at the same time V.E. Huntely has presented us with some very real world moral and philosophical questions. Questions like: How do you fight evil without becoming evil yourself? How do you make the decisions that are going to harm innocent people and yet you know will still serve the greater good?

As we read, we can feel all the angst and the full responsibility that comes with dealing with all these questions that are at the heart of this series, the questions also fuel the emotional rollercoaster ride this series is. V.E. Huntley knew what she was doing when she combined this dark romantasy with tropes like enemies-to-lovers, morally grey MMCs, a slow-burn, forbidden romance, the ultimate sexy vampire spice, and you are going to find that you have this stunning and ultimate vampire series. And the epilogue that V.E. included, that in and of itself is just priceless.

You do have to remember that these are NOT standalone books. You need to read each of these books in order. You do that and you’ll find that the emotional payoff, the full impact, the character arcs, they can only be fully felt and appreciated when the content from the previous books are known. And Redemption, as the trilogies conclusion, it makes it all feel complete, powerful, and so very deeply satisfying.

I can honestly say that one this is unquestionable. V.E. Huntley does not release a single book that disappoints. With every new release, I know I have to get my hands on it and for me at least, it is an automatic read. I know that I can’t miss a single story that she writes. V.E. has this intensity in her writing, this special way of blending darkness, spice, emotional vulnerability, with questions that we ask in our daily lives that feel unmistakably hers. ‘Redemption’ just proves once again with authority that is all V.E. Huntley’s why she is a must-read author.

Even though with Redemption we see the conclusion of Ellie and Aden's thrilling story. But this isn’t the end as I am so excited to read Kane and Carrie’s story. I can’t wait. I am so excited for the next story out of this amazing world.

My Favorite Quote from this book was:

My Thoughts:
Ellie is taken by an ancient and evil vampire named Matthais, who wants to be the most powerful vampire in existence. Matthais wanted to start a war between the humans and vampires so that vampires were in charge instead of the humans. He thought that vampires were far superior and should be at the top of the food chain, so to speak. Not only does Matthais have enhanced vampire soldiers at his disposal, he also has a weapon he can use against vampires that kills, even the oldest, strongest among them and Aden and his family have nothing to fight the effects of the weapon. Matthais wants Aden to pledge his loyalty to him in the coming war but Aden not only wants to save Ellie from Matthais but eliminate him too, for even touching her.. Along the way, Aden has to make some serious choices since his father was hurt and now Aden is in charge. His actions hurt a lot of people but even though he sent the actions in motion, it was Matthais that was truly responsible for the horrible outcome.Aden will stop at nothing in order to save her though, which I loved. While I haven't read the first two books and I have no idea what went on between Ellie and Aden, but that didn't take away from what I have read here.

REDEMPTION, The epic conclusion to The BloodStone Legacy Series by V.E. Huntley delivers an intense, all consuming, and emotionally layered finale. The final installment wraps up Aden and Ellie’s story with powerful character growth, high stakes that never seem to let up, and a love that never waivers.

From the very first page, the action and pacing are go, go, go. Battles are raging left and right and danger is never far behind. This story is truly elevated by the emotional core woven through every scene though. Huntley has a gift for balancing explosive moments with quiet, heavy truths. Beneath the violence and passion lies a deeper question: what does it cost to do what’s right, and how much of yourself can you sacrifice before there’s nothing left?

Aden and Ellie remain the heart of the series, and their chemistry is as fierce as ever. Their relationship is charged with intensity, equal parts devotion, conflict, and vulnerability. Readers are able to fully understand both of their fears and motivations, even when they clash. Aden’s desperate need to protect and Ellie’s refusal to stand in the background create a dynamic that feels raw and real. Their love is not easy, and that’s exactly what makes their eventual resolution so satisfying.

The world-building continues to stand out, offering a fresh, imaginative take on vampire lore within a dystopian, futuristic setting. Political tension, societal struggles, and questions of identity add layers to the story, making it feel expansive and immersive. It reads almost cinematically at times, with vivid, theatrical scenes that pull you completely into the chaos and beauty of this world.

This is not a story to jump into lightly or out of order, you MUST read the first two books in the series before diving into this one or it won’t make sense and you will not get the full emotional impact when you reach the end. For those who have followed Aden and Ellie from the beginning, Redemption delivers a conclusion that is both explosive and deeply fulfilling. It’s a hard won ending, filled with sacrifice, growth, and the kind of love that survives against all odds.

V.E. Huntley is one of my absolute go-to/must-read authors who blends darkness, passion, and emotional depth in a way that feels entirely her own. Redemption is a powerful, unforgettable finale that does not leave you. I know we’ve finished Aden and Ellie;s story but there are still more to tell in the BloodStone Legacy world and I can’t wait to read them!

I couldn’t see how the author was going to pull this series together in a way that stood up to the emotional wreckage book 1 and 2 dealt, but boy, did she! I was completely floored and am still reeling from this masterful conclusion to The Bloodstone Legacy trilogy. From anger and angst to laughter and tears, V.E. Huntley delivered it all with an epic conclusion to Aden and Ellie’s story creating a series that will continue to live rent free in my head and be at the top of my favorite vampire/dark romance recommendations.

My Synopsis:
As Aden works to become a better version of himself, his resolve is shattered when Ellie is taken by the ancient, evil vampire chancellor, Matthias. Aden will burn the world in order to save her, and Matthias will do anything to ensure he’s the most powerful vampire with everything and everyone under his control. With their world careening toward war, will Aden and Ellie survive long enough to find their HEA, or will they loose each other and all they love along the way?

My Thoughts:

The character ARC for Aden, from book 1 as a conceited, emotionally stunted and deeply wounded vampire to a MC, who slowly through the love of his soulmate, Ellie, finds healing and becomes the leader his family and the world needs was full of depth, nuance and yes, redemption—even if Aden will always struggle to see anything but his darkness. Ellie’s strength was evident from the first book, but the way she maintains and reasserts her independence while being claimed by an OTT obsessive and possessive vampire mate, made my heart swell. She becomes a fierce match and mate for our broody, dark vampire commander.

While a fictional, dark romantasy, this story deals with real world moral and philosophical questions such as how to fight evil without becoming evil yourself, and how do you make decisions that harm innocent people, but serve the greater good. The angst and responsibility that comes from dealing with these questions is at the heart of this series and helps fuel the emotional roller coaster ride it has been for me. Combine this dark romantasy series that includes tropes such as enemies to lovers, a morally grey MC, a slow burn, forbidden romance, and the ultimate type of sexy vampire spice, and you end up becoming one of my top vampire series! PS—the epilogue is priceless!!

This is the third book in the Bloodstone Legacie trilogy but it's the first book in the trilogy that I've read. That did not make this book any less enjoyable though. This book can be read as a standalone in my opinion.

Matthais wants Aden to pledge his loyalty to him in the coming war but Aden not only wants to save Ellie from Matthais but eliminate him too, for even touching her.

Along the way, Aden has to make some serious choices since his father was hurt and now Aden is in charge. His actions hurt a lot of people but even though he sent the actions in motion, it was Matthais that was truly responsible for the horrible outcome.

Aden will stop at nothing in order to save her though, which I loved. While I haven't read the first two books and I have no idea what went on between Ellie and Aden, but that didn't take away from what I have read here.

This book was so full of action, it really kept me engaged throughout the entire book. Plus, I loved the spice level between Ellie and Aden, something that I've come to expect in a vampire romance. The ending was everything that I could have hoped for.

Disclosure: I was given an e-ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Redemption, the final book in The BloodStone Legacy, was a powerful and emotional way to close the series. From the very beginning, I felt deeply invested in Aden and Ellie’s journey, and this final installment carried all the tension, heart, and hope that their story deserved.
What stood out most to me was the emotional weight of Aden’s character. He has lived for centuries carrying the burden of choices he cannot undo, and throughout this book you can feel his struggle between the darkness of his past and the man he hopes he can become. His desire for redemption feels genuine and hard-earned, which made his journey incredibly compelling.
Ellie continues to be a strong and grounding presence in the story. She brings a sense of humanity and compassion into a world that often feels brutal and unforgiving. Their relationship is intense and layered—it’s not an easy love story, but that’s what makes it meaningful. Watching them fight not only external enemies but also their own fears and doubts kept me fully engaged.
The world that V. E. Huntley created remains dark and atmospheric, with constant danger and tension between humans and vampires. Yet even within that darkness, this book carries an underlying theme of hope—that people can change, that forgiveness is possible, and that love can transform even the most hardened heart.
By the time I reached the final chapters, I felt both satisfied and a little sad to leave these characters behind. The ending felt earned and meaningful, bringing closure while honoring the long and difficult journey the characters endured.
For readers who enjoy dark paranormal romance with deep emotional stakes, Redemption delivers a memorable and satisfying conclusion.

V.E. Huntley’s Redemption is the breathtaking conclusion to The BloodStone Legacy trilogy, and it is every bit the wonderful finale I hoped for. Having followed Aden and Ellie’s journey from the very first page, I have been rooting for their happily-ever-after since the beginning. To see their story finally reach its end was a beautiful, emotional experience that left my heart pounding.

For centuries, the vampire commander Aden Westcott was known only for his brutality—until Ellie. She awakened feelings he thought were long dead, creating a forbidden bond that became both his salvation and his greatest vulnerability. In a society fractured by power and blood, his enemies believe this love makes him weak, but they are about to learn that it actually makes him unstoppable.

This dark and seductive paranormal romance is perfect for fans of J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood or Sarah J. Maas’s Crescent City. It masterfully balances high stakes and intense passion, pitting a brooding anti-hero against a resilient heroine in a world where love might just destroy everything. While the path to redemption demands the highest price, V.E. Huntley does not disappoint, delivering the deeply deserved HEA (happily-ever-after) that these characters so desperately fought for. It is a sad yet stunning farewell to a couple whose choices will truly echo through eternity.

Redemption, book three in the BloodStone Legacy, written by V.E. Huntley, is the conclusion of the trilogy. This dark paranormal romance explores forbidden love and impossible choices as a battle between two forces reaches an all-time high. The book is part of a trilogy and cannot be read as a standalone. Please read Damnation and Atonement first.

The book returns us to Aden Wescott, a vampire commander with a terrifying reputation who rules through fear and blood, and Ellie, his human thrall. With constant danger, the two have grown impossibly close. Without giving too much away, Ellie is captured and undergoes changes that change her forever. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with.

What I loved most was Ellie's growth. She really found her voice. As she transitions into this new phase of her life, I was awestruck!

With the stakes at an all-time high, VE delivers a tension-filled conclusion marred by destruction and betrayal, yet it also makes room for fiery spice and passion. She gives us the HEA we've been longing for! The book was fast-paced and action-packed. The spice sizzled, making me long for more!

Thanks to V.E. Huntley for gifting me an eARC of Redemption. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Redemption concludes the BloodStone Legacy saga, bringing to an end Ellie and Aden's story.

This book picks up right where book two left of, with high stakes, an uncertain present and dangerous future.

The author doesn't shy away from the atrocities of war, and a lot of the book deals with death, betrayal, and combat. We get to see a more harsh side of Ellie, and Aurik, the two characters which in past books were always against violence. And in contrast, Aden shows a softer, more human, side, a sign of growth from the hot-headed vampire we met in the past.

The more gritty parts of the story are balanced by the romance, and spicy scenes, giving both a slight relief from the plot, and keeping the love story interesting even after two books and an established relationship. The way Aden and Ellie keep growing into their relationship is grounding and fresh. There's no doubt they live each other, but love is not enough sometimes, and they both are learning to communicate and accept each other, even when it seems impossible.

Overall, this was a great book all on it's own, and a wonderful conclusion to the whole saga.

🩸 Redemption
(Book 3 in the The Bloodstone Legacy by V.E. Huntley)
ARC review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What if the monster still has a moral compass?
What if love is stronger than centuries of bloodshed?

Aden Westcott is ancient, violent, and wrapped in darkness - and yet his heart refuses to die. Loving Ellie doesn’t make him weaker. It makes him stronger. It makes him choose redemption.

This was my most anticipated book in the series, and it absolutely delivered.

Immersive world-building, epic battles, sharp political intrigue, and devastating emotional stakes. Aden stepping into a role he never wanted - hero to some, villain to others - all to protect his soulmate and family? Morally gray perfection.

I finished this book feeling empty and full at the same time.

This series reignited my love for vampire romance, and I’ll be comparing every future vampire story to The Bloodstone Series. The second generation moments? My heart. Kane forever has my soft spot. And that ending? IYKYK.

Dark. Romantic. Violent. Emotional. Redemptive.

✨ Proof that even monsters can choose love.

ARC REVIEW (4/5) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What if the monster has a hidden sense of right and wrong?
What if love can overcome years of fighting?

Meet Aden Westcott. He is ancient and dark but driven by a strong love for Ellie. His journey to find redemption is captivating.

This book went beyond what I expected with its detailed world, exciting battles, political twists, and deep emotions. Aden's character is both hero and villain, trying to protect his loved ones, which makes him imperfect yet compelling.

I finished the book feeling exhilarated but also empty, sparking my love for vampire romance. I will compare all future vampire stories to this one. Those second-generation moments are full of magic! And Kane? He has captured my heart. The ending is shocking—if you know, you know!

This story is dark, romantic, and ultimately hopeful. It shows that even the most monstrous characters can choose love.

My heartfelt thanks to @netgalley, the author, and the publishers for giving me the chance to read an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts!

"When you lose control, you lose the ability to protect the people you love."

When Eliana and Aden got together it was magical. Even I who hadn't read the first two books could see that. And then this, the third in the series finds Ellie in their enemy's hands as Matthias' girl is torturing Ellie.

After they rescue Ellie Aden breaks all sorts of vampiric laws to save both her and her father. He can't lose Ellie again. Working with the enclave he and the other gerents come together to fight their common enemy and his lackies.

Will they win? Will they defeat Matthias? What happens after the final battle?

Without having read the other two books I was able to slip into this story fairly quickly. I love the vampire genre but this was very dark and quite sexual but it was all part of the storyline. However, IMHO, it seemed a bit too long, hence the 4 star rating .

This is the final book of the BloodStone Legacy. The series is set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world where vampires rule, and humans serve as labor, food, or both. In the middle are the half-breeds. It also has elements of sci-fi. Redemption starts where Atonement left off. Mithias has kidnapped Ellie, and team members are injured or dead. Aden has to pull himself together to lead the revolution to overthrow Mithias. This was a nonstop ride with war, doublecrosses, fights, and heroics. Plus, an epic romance that is spicy and romantic. This series was so good, and Redemption was the best of the series. I especially liked that Ellie steps up and helps despite the odds against her. The epilogues are great, too.

If you like Vampires, a politically based war and steamy moments this covers it all. Following along with Aden trying to join forces with other gerents to finally put an end to Matthias. Aden discovers moles in their most trusted ranks and has to find a way to fight Matthias’s enhanced soldiers. Until he can put an end to Matthias he will not believe his mate Ellie will ever be safe and he wound burn the entire world to the ground for her.
This was very well written and a perfect end to the series. It gave just the right balance of plot and spicy and whew the spice was off the charts!!! Definitely a series to recommend!!

I hate to give spoilers, so instead I will just leave you with this. I have been so in love with Aden and Ellie’s story that now… I’m so sad it’s over. Now don’t get me wrong, the ending was everything I could’ve ever dreamed it to be, but I wish so much that I had more! This book had so much action, love, and unexpected surprises that made me turn the pages like crazy. And oh my gosh the Epilogue 🖤🖤🖤

Takeaways from this?
• Torture makes you stronger - even if you almost die first.
• Don’t trust your friends.
• Matthias sucks.

No more spoilers - 5⭐️
