With a new title and new dragons, Warren has a sorceress to hunt and a good friend to rescue from her grasp. To do so, he has to leave his dragon farm behind enemy lines, and go on a journey with a seductive blood mage and a suspicious foreign noblewoman. Together, they head to the island kingdom of Kiloba—where his greatest enemy is lying in wait.
On the way, Warren will have to unlock new powers in his dragons, and in himself. He’ll have to overcome a mystery force that’s weakening his bond to the Demon Ignace and unearth ancient boons beyond his wildest imaginings. While new enemies close in and evil dragons loom, Warren must meet every challenge and grow stronger for it.
And once Warren gathers the power needed to do the unthinkable, he can rise up against the king of Parshil himself.
Pretty much all of the strengths and weaknesses of the first were prevalent here. Not bad by any stretch, just maybe not for me. I tapped out here and am unsure if I'll revisit the series in the future.
Superb continuation! I was living for every minute of it. The authors really know how to tell a good story and how to keep you guessing, because man was I guessing lol. I’m not going to lie but I’ve never seen a main character with so much plot armor. He can do no wrong and I love that. Harem fantasies aren’t usually my thing because the women usually annoy me but so far there has been no stupid women that get on my nerves. Every woman that has been mentioned whether in the first book or this one have made me proud. I’m really glad the author didn’t turn them into complaining, annoying heffas. But my all-time favorite thing about the series is the dragons. I’m glad each and everyone of them have their own personality and you can kind of get their perspective on things. They’re not just a part of the background to build the story. They are at the forefront and you get the chance to care for them as if you were a part of the story itself. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be moving onto the next one with utmost anticipation.
I love the dragon lore, all the information about fantasy Dragons.
I have to admit though, I skipped the erotic chapters/scenes. I'm not a prude! But, I suppose that's the point, those scenes are definitely written by males! Who don't really have any concept of what reality of females want! Those scenes depict the ideals that some males have in regard to females. And I'm not talking about dragons here I'm talking about people. So these books in this series would appeal greatly to men and not so much to women.
I like the works building and the interesting setting. Very enjoyable. The characters are interesting and not stock - everyone has their motivations, which is nice. The only thing I don't like is the lack of foreshadowing. Sverige a dragon's abilities are revealed, and it is done to abscess the plot. If the abilities had been foreshadowed, it wouldn't have had to be a surprise and it would have been a lot more effective as a story device.
So I was looking for a new series to start reading and I happened on this series. Honest opionion I was skeptical when I started because it was kinda slow moving at first...but by the middle to the end of the first book and now thrpigh the second book all I can say is Wow this series is fantastic. It does a good job developing characters you fall in love with...Great read highly recommend
If you are a fan of well written and entertaining fantasy adventure stories, you are doing yourself a huge disservice by not reading this series!!! I personally have enjoyed everything this author has written but this series has surpassed their others!!!
Never a dull moment. Kidnaps, fighting, chases and plenty of intrigue making a very fun role through the incredible world full of dragons, trolls, goblins and other creatures.
Not enough sex in the first book for you?! Then you're in luck! There's MORE! Also some new dragons, a new setting, homie collecting more girlfriends at a rate of knots, absolutely ATROCIOUS sounding outfits (pants and jacket, come on. Maybe a waistcoat), BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES, (unfortunately for some) pregnancy, conniving, and a bunch of other stuff I'm probably forgetting from a book I finished a dozen books ago.
But mostly, if you enjoyed the first one this is more of the same and it's a fun read.
