What an insult, both an insult to Efteling and to the readers who've probably spent money on this novella.
I don't think this author has ever been to Efteling. The book is part text and part illustrations.
The illustrations are all very bad AI illustrations.
The story should be about a little hippo and her zebra aunt who spend a day at Efteling theme park.
In that day, their outfit, eye color, length, and fur changes on every page. That's just stupid. None of the illustrations of the park look like Efteling. Wtf is that entrance? And dream flight? And those hideous looking buildings in the background?
The whole story was about the hippo asking the zebra how a ride works, and the answers are: "tracks and pulleys, that's why."
Any normal kid would enjoy the park, the rides, the music, the fairy tales forest, the magical feeling all day long. But this kid thanks her aunt for two pages long, for the lessons, that was the best part of the day.
So, you've clearly never been to Efteling.
If you consider yourself an author you could have just made up a theme park instead of using the name of a park that exists and then add all these horrible AI illustrations of a non existing place.

Voor alle Efteling fans: dit boekje slaat echt nergens op.
