Have Your Cake and Lose Weight Too!: Slim Down & Heal Your Body While Eating Delicious Fats, Carbs, & Real Whole Food!

Rate this book
What if you could lose weight without dieting? Lose weight without excessive exercise, diet pills, or counting calories? What if you didn’t have to go low-carb, low-fat, or low-protein either? Think it’s just a crazy fantasy? Think again! Author DaNelle Wolford is here to share the secret of how she lost 35 pounds and healed her chronic illness in her new book, Have Your Cake and Lose Weight Too! The title says it Yes, you can still eat dessert (every day, if you want!) and lose weight naturally, without restriction or sacrifice. The answer lies in revisiting traditional foods that are far more delicious and nutritious than their mass-produced, modern counterparts.

Everyone these days seems to be talking about “plant-based diets,” but are they really as healthy as they’re claimed to be? Wolford looks to the real evidence to find out, instead of relying on hype and hearsay from those with animal rights agendas. You’ll learn the story of the real China Study and why it has nothing to do with the popular - and oft-quoted - book. Find out the truth of whether veganism supports super-wellness…or actually promotes certain types of cancers. Read up on vital nutrients contained only in animal foods and why their plant-based counterparts aren’t ideal for human absorption.

Are all carbs created equal? Is soy really a health food? Which fats should you be eating and why? ( Lard and butter are on the list.) Have Your Cake and Lose Weight Too! is a real food manifesto brought down to earth. Even if you have little experience in the kitchen, this book serves up the most important points of real food, leaving you knowledgeable enough to feel confident without being overwhelmed. With easy-to-read charts and lists, Wolford makes it simple to see which foods are good, better, and best. Finally figure out which fruits and vegetables you need to buy organic and which are okay when conventional. Discover the biggest mistake most people make when transitioning to a real food diet and what you should do instead. You’ll be cooking up real food in no time…and losing weight and feeling healthier by the day!

Information GOLD MINE and the recipes are DELICIOUS. Danelle teaches with skill the harmful effects of canola, sunflower, cottonseed, and many other vegetable oils while enforcing the benefits of coconut, lard, and butter. I found it empowering to learn that many of our common diseases, obesity included, began around the time we walked away from the natural oils and fats. This book deserves at least a billion stars.

Seriously one of the best nutrition books I have read. Balanced, informative without being too cluttered with science for the everyday reader, and well-researched. This book is dripping with truth. Since I've followed her principles, my health has improved so much! And I've done the whole crash diet rounds - low fat, vegetarian and paleo/low-carb. Amazing how much better we feel when we eat it all.

Quick, light, and informative read!

This book is not overwhelmingly long or hard to comprehend, simply a good solid dose of common sense! I would recommend this book to anyone interested in a real food lifestyle!

Interesting book

Can't wait to try some of the recipes but they are in small boxes that I can't seem to enlarge enough to read on the Kindle. the recipes do not let you pinch to enlarge nor does enlarging the text help much.
