This book was kind of annoying to me. It had some good helpful recipes, and maybe a little bit of good advice, but not much. It bothered me how she talked so much about junk food, and how if you must buy it, at least buy stuff that has redeeming value. I was hoping it would just be a book with good suggestions on eating healthy. It was like she assumed my kid was a sugar addict! Ok, so I guess that's what the title implies. Anyway, like all the other books I've read like it, it basically told me that picky toddlers are normal, and as much as I worry, studies show they really are getting the nutrition they need, and I should just keep trying.

Although this book has a few good pointers, it doesn't have any wonderful information. I checked it out from the library hoping to find some good healthy recipes, but wasn't impressed. (Do people seriously think we need a recipe for grilled cheese sandwiches?) Most snack recipes contain a lot of sugar and/or nuts.

I picked this up to rummage through the recipes in the back...I love trying new healthy foods for the kids. It was written in the late 70s and yet it still holds true today...eat less garbage food that are advertised relentlessly.

Companion to Lansky's popular Feed Me I'm Your's. The focus here is specifically on snack foods and lightening the sugar-load.

Nothing new in this book. She stress not using sugar in recipes, then included sugar in the recipes she provided. :(

My mom used this when I was a kid. I'd like to look through it and see if I can find any of my childhood favorites.
