She was off-limits. He was too old for her. But in the Wild West, rules are meant to be broken.

When Cole Hayes, a rugged cowboy with a dark past, hires Hannah Blake to work at Whispering Pines Ranch, he knows one thing—she’s too young, too tempting, and too off-limits. But out here, where the nights are long and the rules don’t apply, forbidden desire turns into something unstoppable.

Hannah came to the ranch to prove herself—not to fall for her brooding, dangerously handsome boss. But the way he looks at her with hunger in his eyes and the way his touch sets her body on fire make it impossible to resist. She knows she shouldn’t want him. He knows he shouldn’t touch her. But once he claims her, he’s never letting go.

A spicy cowboy romance novella packed with forbidden age gap passion, steamy ranch nights, and an untamed cowboy who always gets what he wants. If you

I don't understand how people can see books like this and not realize it's AI-generated through and through, but I suppose everyone has to start somewhere before they recognize all the signs. The cover art, the description, the author photo, the author bio, the entire Amazon book page, the entire text of the book, the way the text is divided into its short chunked sections: all of this is from generative AI. Probably if you get the book from Netgalley or some other ARC promotion service, you get it as a thumbnail cover where it's not as immediately obvious as in the larger view, and don't get a chance to see all the other AI-slop content attached to the book.

This not-an-author also puts out AI slop for children under a different AI generated persona (Trixie Knox). I've often assumed people made multiples of these AI-generated author profiles to try to tap into different genre markets. It's not like it takes time or effort to do any of this. May they achieve all the success they deserve.

Started off promising with solid world-building and a setting that had potential—hello rugged ranch life! But once the characters came in hot (and shirtless), things spiraled fast. The romance escalates at lightning speed with very little emotional development to back it up. Consent was a plus, but that’s where the praise ends.

Plot? Confusing. Chapters? Out of order. Editing? Nonexistent. At one point I wasn’t sure what day, location, or emotional state we were even in. Characters pop in randomly like they missed their cue, and the main couple goes from zero to intense clinginess way too quick.

I wanted to like this, I really did. But between the insta-love, cliché dialogue, and chaotic pacing, I couldn’t stay invested. A fence should not be a recurring romantic hotspot, okay?

Would I recommend? Nah. Unless you're in it for the unintentional comedy or want to rage-read something.

started with promise but went downhill fast!!

The world building and character development started so strong but suddenly the MCs went from zero to steaming instantly and I was left wondering what was going on. They entered the cabin and suddenly were back in the porch entering the cabin again. Many repetitive actions. Movements and positioning that made no sense. Actions that sounded like a teenager narrating a sex act. Where did Jason come from? This went so wrong so fast!

one of my first DNF.
the writing is subpar at best. I feel I've read a thousand stories with the same plot only better writing. its so bad I got through half and gave up. I do not recommend at all.
