SteelTrack Racing #3

The Player Penalty

He can’t handle relationships…
Julian Murphy is motorsports’ biggest player. Fans want to be him, and the women…they just want him. It’s hard to believe he enjoys friendship with a shy, awkward woman like me. Julian claims he desires more, but the women following him from one track to another give me doubts. Plus, my father, a NASCAR icon, wants him fired, and his boss thinks he’s worthless. Are they right or could Julian Murphy be the one to bring me out of my shell?

She’s ten years younger…
After my family’s cheating scandal nearly destroyed my career, I decided relationships weren’t for me. My life is fast cars, parties, and women. It’s enough until I become friends with the boss’s daughter. We’re best friends, and that should be enough, considering she sticks to the wall while I crave attention. Plus, her father runs my garage and is threatening my career. She’s also ten years younger. But, if we’re only meant to be friends, why do I crave her presence and grow jealous when other men express their interest?

If Lily does become my something more, it means losing the best friend I’ve ever had.

The Player Penalty is an age-gap, friends-to-lovers motorsports romance. It comes with neurodivergent representation and plenty of heat.

Book three of SteelTrack Racing features a bad boy race car driver and the best friend who could be more. This sports romance comes with no cheating and a guaranteed HEA. It is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

I always enjoy when authors have MCs or FMCs who are neurodivergent. Stories should include all different kinds of people…not just the standard traits. Lily is a wonderful character whose quirks will likely be relatable to many readers. Julian is a playboy who leaves behind his “normal” for a chance at extraordinary! Their romance was sweet (since Lily is inexperienced) but a bit of spice emerges near the end. Great addition to the series…I am hoping we may see more of Mateo next???
