Mouth to Mouth to Mouth

Rate this book
This is a ritual, a prayer, a plea.

This is a sacrifice, a bloodletting, a need.

This is a transformation of flesh, one stitch at a time. This is meat from a stone, warm and pulsating. From one mouth to another, this is the passing of a story with far too many limbs, slick and scaly.

Mouth to Mouth to Mouth is a collection of transmasc horror erotica, made up of 7 short stories featuring insects, elves, fairies, and more -- all mired in the grotesque and profane.

An amazing collection of gay trans erotic short stories, which combines transformation, body horror, gore, erotica and trans euphoria (& dysphoria) into an incredibly horrifying and satisfying reading experience. The horror and erotica presented here is dark, really creepy and deeply innovative, exploring a wide array of scenarios that somehow still manage to flow together quite well without ever feeling repetitive. From summonings gone wrong to medical intervention that crosses all boundaries to strange ceremonies and (un)divine intervention there is something here for any fan of trans horrorotica exploring the strange and macabre. I also loved the diversity of trans male character presented here regarding wishes for their bodies and how they engaged with their partners, the various different embodiments they were granted or took for themselves as well the fact that they weren’t just the recipients of the deeds done. This, plus the various scenarios and different worlds we got to explore, made each story feel unique and special and quite interesting to read. The writing style was also incredibly well done, I adored the prose and the atmosphere that was created for each story and am very thankful that I took my time savoring each story.
My favorite short stories were Godling (incredibly horrifying pregnancy horror), Lambskin (possession horror of the finest variety), Sting (an alchemists experiment gone Oh So Right) and Mouth to Mouth to Mouth (an incredibly atmospheric trip through a horrifying and strange world).
All in all, I really enjoyed this collection and if you are a fan of dark gay and trans horrorotica this is a collection you need to check out asap.

Horse Fly: A man finds himself wandering an arid wasteland, plagued by flies, thirst and an unflagging erection, when stumbles upon something that may help with the last one. Very short, but intriguing.
TW: bestiality (referenced), misgendering, rot, sexual assault, starvation

Crystalline: A fae prince is banished by his father and thrown into a pit to be devoured by insects. And while they may bite and burrow, he finds a new kind of life among them and a possibility of revenge. Great body horror! I loved it!
TW: bestiality (bugs), gore, injury, mutilation, murder, pregnancy, sexual assault, torture

*FAV* Godling: A trans man seeks medical intervention from a man rumored to work miracles, but finds himself trapped as the man becomes convinced, he is what he’s been searching for. Lots and lots of medical malpractice and while it took a while for the lore to make sense, that also happened to the main character, so that was fine. Horrifying and really atmospheric.
TW: body horror, forced pregnancy, imprisonment, injury, gore, medical abuse, sexual assault, woundfucking

*FAV* Lambskin: A loyal knight has been chosen to participate in a secret ceremony for his king. When he enters the king’s chamber however, it soon becomes clear that only one of them will walk out of this ritual. I love trans guys doing trans wrongs, it’s one of my favorite things and this story really delivers. The story is incredibly unsettling, but fun.
TW: imprisonment, sexual assault

*FAV* Sting: An alchemist brews a strange concoction in search of transforming his body. Happy with his new form and ready to finally have sex in the way he’s always wanted, he finds a willing companion in a cleric and soon they find themselves both changed men. I love t-dick body horror, it’s great. The combination of strange transformations and joyous change and also a lot of sex worked really well and was a lot of fun!
TW: body horror, cannibalism, gore, vomit

Womb Witch: In the search for knowledge, three young witches attempt to summon a goddess to fulfill the lust of one of them, but summon a fallen god instead. Unlike the cis male witch, the trans male witch has to uphold his oath of abstinence to avoid discovery. But when the fallen god chooses him to receive his blessing, he’ll need to decide if the promise of power is worth the price. Horrifying! Very atmospheric! Fun!
TW: sexual assault

*FAV* Mouth to Mouth to Mouth: A man looking for a God’s help finds only another man previously changed by the God. He too offers the possibility of change, but it will be far more gruesome than the protagonist imagined. Spirited away to a graveyard of failed transformations, where flesh seeks pleasure in a myriad of forms, he may find the change he was looking for, but they may not be exactly as he wishes. Horrifying, so full of strange and weird body horror and gore and incredibly creepy, I loved it! One of the most atmospheric stories in here (which is a feat, because the others were also incredibly atmospheric) and I really enjoyed the descriptions of the bleak landscape and the creatures that exist in it.
TW: body horror, death, gore, mutilation, murder, sexual assault

Grotesque, disturbing, weird, and beautifully written.
It's hard to pick favourites, since I loved every story so much, but if I really have to choose, I'll say Christsline, Godling, and Mouth to Mouth to Mouth

I read this when it came out. It was pretty good. The imagery is good, but there is not a lot of depth to many of the stories, and the plot is pretty much the same in every story. I don't dislike Ambiguous endings but almost every story ends on an ambiguous note, I think it would have benefited from some stronger final images. Most of them did not feel like they had properly concluded, especially Sting which just kind of fizzles out.

Maybe it's wrong to expect depth in an erotic short story collection, but I think the horror elements and the atmosphere are so intriguing it feels like the author could've got there. Womb witch and Godling felt like the prologue of a larger piece rather than something that could stand alone.

Definitely worth a read.

I have recommended MTMTM to just about anyone who has had the patience to listen to me talk about it. This collection of short stories truly blends horror and eroticism in the most beautiful way. Wilt's economy of words is astonishing, painting the most vivid picture in the imagination in just a few sentences. These stories are short of a masterclass in how to write both terror and titillation. While their gory spectral is not for the faint of heart, they invoke the feeling of Clive baker or John Carpenter to me in the best way. I think when it comes to transness there is an inherent terror to the erotic that is hard to capture, and Wilt does an amazing job of not only creating a vivid painting in the imagination but also crafting something that is truly erotically enticing. He does not shy away from expressing these stories in all their crawling beauty.

Wow. Wow wow wow. I had to slow myself down on this one, because I knew I'd miss it when I finished. We need more writing like this- I need more like this. Found the author through their art, which is always evocative and stunning, and the writing is just as incredible. Not for everyone, I'm sure, but perfect for me.
